2022 stealing a squad car in Milwaukee
the suspect Chuckles as the officer
calls in the
theft 561 looks like uh somebody just
stole my vehicle there GPS on that car
yes there GPS on the car the squad car
was outfitted with GPS allowing officers
to track its location the suspect bailed
and ran to a nearby alley a
white Daniel Barton was arrested in
charged with a misdemeanor but a warrant
was put out for his arrest in February
when he failed to appear in court put
your hands on your a few months later in
Shorewood the urge to steal a squad car
strikes Barton again some of his traffic
stuff he's got just some warrants and if
I give him a
new what is that your

uh someone just stole my squad no on I
was trying unlock
this I was trying to yell the some just
jump
in backup arrived and began to urgently
pursue

rifle did it looks like it stopped now
um windows were up and it was
locked it stopped on Capital at
C un know if it's
occupied Barton ditched the vehicle and
cut behind a strip center by this time
other police officers swarmed the area
looking for a man in dark pants and a
dark shirt who reportedly looked like
Jesus we've been able to confirm that he
was not in fact Jesus I don't see anyone

Shorewood police did in fact take him
somewhere to
jail Daniel Barton was arrested and
charged with taking and driving a
vehicle without the owner's consent a
class H felony in Wisconsin punishable
by up to 6 years in prison Andor up to
$10,000 in fines
