Russ Cops traffic offenses are usually pretty straightforward. But once in a while, we come across some people that are really unbelievable. First up, cops come across a man that is barely holding it together after a road rage incident. >> Turn around and put your hands behind your back. >> Turn around and put your hands behind your back. >> Then we have a disrespectful woman who turns a simple traffic citation into a high-speed chase. >> No. But first, officers in New Mexico tracked down a man who had been allegedly kicking other drivers vehicles. >> Let me see your driver's license. >> I'm not asking. I'm telling. Give me your driver's license. >> What's going on, Officer Pratt? >> You tell me. Why are you showing up on two different traffic cameras out of your car kicking vehicles in the middle of traffic? >> Health issue, sir. >> Okay. Let me see your driver's license. I have a mental health issue, sir, and you're going to make it a lot worse. I swear to God. >> Oh my god. Really? Are you Are you going to do this? My license right here. >> Let me see it. >> Okay. You just don't care about humans. That's the problem with you. >> I'm not the one that was out kicking. >> You don't care about me, sir. He honked at me five times because he's >> guess what? in his nice pickup truck and he's just annoyed that I didn't go right away. There was no reason he needed to honk and I'm flipping out right now trying to just get home. That's all. >> Okay, >> I'm home now and I'm going to take my medicine that I just picked up. >> Are you going to listen to me or not? >> You're lucky you didn't get shot today. You understand that Oklahoma is a constitutional carry state? Yes. >> Someone's going to shoot me in. >> Have you not watched the news? Have you not seen how many stabbings and shootings we've had lately? So, I'm just having a hard time understanding how good >> when somebody looks at you that you jump out of the car. >> It's called explosive >> disorder and I can't help it. >> Okay. Should you be driving a car then if you can't >> Why do you think I'm here trying to go inside? >> Wow. I've been to a lot of mental health calls in my career so far. I've never heard of this before. I did look it up. Intermittent explosive disorder. So, this is a thing where people just have outbursts of anger they can't control at times. I would hope if you had this, you would be upfront right away with a cop. Have a letter from your doctor, a list of your prescriptions, tell them, "I have this problem so they're not kind of guessing and wondering if it's an actual thing because it's pretty rare." >> Get out and put your hands behind your back. >> No. Yes. >> No, you're not doing this, officer. >> Now, look at >> Get out. Put your hands behind your back. >> Are you kidding me, sir? You can't do this. >> I don't trust your behavior right now. Get out and put your hands behind. No, you're not. >> Help me. Help me. My roommate's here. >> 450, can you start me another unit? >> Look, >> put your hands Turn around and put your hands behind your back. >> I have nothing on me. >> Turn around and put your hands behind your back. >> Turn around and put your hands behind your back. You're a idiot. >> Hands behind your back, piece of [ __ ] Put your hands behind your back. >> I'm not just I'm not doing anything. >> Get your hands behind your back. >> Wow. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> What the belly? What is wrong with you? >> Where's your hands? Police. >> You're going to jail for assault on a police officer. >> I'm cooperating. >> Oh my god. >> I'm cooperating. >> Stop moving or I'm going to tase you. Do you understand? >> Yes. >> You guys, I'm home. >> I don't care. >> I'm home and you guys are doing this to me and I have a mental problem and you guys are taking advantage of me. >> He really does seem like he has a mental health problem. The problem with that is we're more trained than we were. But if you look back, if you ask a cop, you know, in your life how many mental health calls they go on now compared to 10 years ago, they're going to tell you a lot more. And we're not clinicians. We're not psychologists. So, we have to do the best that we can. And if you're going to assault a police officer, at that point, it doesn't really matter. You're going to go to jail and hopefully from there get some help. >> I'm not doing anything wrong. Just get to my doctor's office. >> You just punched me in the face. What do you think is wrong with that? >> Yeah, you did. No, I tried to grab your >> I wasn't hitting you. >> I'm not on anything. I'm not. You guys, I have explosive problems. Why are you doing this to me? >> You guys love taking people to jail. That's all there is to it. I'm not doing guys. I'm not doing anything. Do you feel me? >> Hey, you guys see that I'm not resisting arrest right now? >> Not right now. You're not. >> Do you think I'm like a just normal stable person? I need mental help maybe. >> So, you want to see me go to jail? around. >> Oh, that's why you guys are out here. It's a good show, right? >> Yeah. Grab the popcorn. Grab the popcorn. >> No, I'm looking at you because you guys are pathetic. >> Do you see this, sir? Do you see this? >> I see it. >> And you like it? >> I don't like it. >> You like it? >> Can you calm down? >> I'm going to need IDs cuz this is going to go ugly. >> Yeah, I got you. >> Okay, so you guys Yeah. Go. You go get it. >> We're moving right here. Yeah. I hope they're not moving in because you just met your across the street neighbor. [screaming] >> What the hell are you doing? >> Let me explain to you what's going to happen. Okay. >> Yeah. You're going to take me to county? >> No. Yes. You are going to go to county. >> Oh, great. Thanks. >> They have a mental health award there. >> Yeah. I have a gig Friday night with my band, so I'll lose that job, too. I've lost three jobs. >> Okay. >> So, now you're doing this to me, too. >> No, you're doing it to you. >> And you're going to sleep well at night knowing that? >> Yep. >> Good. Good chat. And I'm also going to submit to DPS a medical review of your license because I don't think you need to be driving in the state that you're in. >> I don't have a car so it doesn't matter. Does Whose car is this? >> This is my roommate's car. >> Okay. >> So, a lot of states have a thing called an immediate threat or whatever that copper just called it. You can submit to the DMV and request someone's license be suspended until they're evaluated by a medical board. It's actually quite the process to get your license back if you do that. >> You have a valid license though, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I'm going to submit a medical your license. >> Good. What else would you like to do to ruin my life to make you feel real good today, Sergeant Pratt? >> You decided to do it when you >> I decided to do it. You can let me go right now. >> Nope. >> Yes, you can. But you're not. >> You're already my dad was a officer. >> Turn around. >> Stop facing me. >> Why? >> I'm allowed to look at you when I want to. >> Look at this guy. >> Stop resisting. >> This is cops, guys. Cops love this right here. And you guys love helping them. Look at you. Call me a good Samaritan, I guess. >> So, what if you had a mental illness, buddy? Do you think you're helping somebody out who has problems? Or do you think that you're causing problems by laughing at people and saying [laughter] you're >> I wouldn't even talk to the guy if I were these kids. >> You're a idiot. Cuz you said go to a mental institution, you piece of >> You know, I think God's giving you this opportunity to sit here and wait. Maybe you guys think about that. >> Guy can't help himself. >> Look at you. I don't care. You come off and not do what you're supposed to do. >> You guys are so pathetic. You're so pathetic. Look at me. I'm 149 lbs. >> I don't care. But you can't follow simple directions. You can't do what you're supposed to do. >> I'll take >> All right. Thanks. >> Just cooperate, man. >> I am. >> Hi, I'm here. I don't have >> Hey, I just now >> switches gears fast. >> I locked it up. Do you have the key still? >> Milo. >> Got you. >> Cut his hand open. >> This may be him. I don't know. >> Oh, okay. Yeah. >> That's his roommate. I would immediately ask, does this guy have a mental disorder and is it the explosive thing? Like what's his deal? >> Resisting and A and B are officer. >> Yeah. >> Anything else? >> Uh, no. >> You have an ID? >> Yeah. >> Let me see if I can get >> How long has he lived here? six type way. >> And how often does this type of thing happen where he's just so mad he can't control himself? >> Yeah, he blacks out. >> I'd say about every 3 weeks. [clears throat] >> Some disinfectant, >> man. It's be tough to live with. >> Yeah. This is the last thing I would expect today. >> All right. I'm sorry about this. >> I'm sorry to you. >> Yeah. We'll get to Weasley's charges soon, but first we have officers initiate a traffic stop after witnessing multiple violations. And this lady is ready to fight. >> Obnoxious music. >> Hello. >> She turned it off. >> Take that flashlight off of me. >> No. My name is Officer Smith Police Department. Reason number one, you were flying down Vernon ODM. You got a marked lanes violation at Vernon Odum and Malison and then you made an improper turn when you turn on the roads here. You turned to the middle lane. You didn't turn to the inside lane. >> Man, get my license. And here, get my ticket >> cuz you not about to get on my nerves. Give me my ticket, please. Thank you. >> We ask everybody this with the new fireballs. Don't have any firearms in the vehicle or on you. >> Ticket. >> You have to answer that. >> I do not have to answer nothing. >> Yes, you do. >> Give me my ticket. >> You want to get arrested? >> Give me >> You have to answer that. Is there any firearms in the vehicle? >> No, it's not. >> Okay. Give me my ticket, please. And have a good night. >> I will. And I will. Don't you worry. >> Who does that? She wants a ticket. >> Okay. You don't got nothing to search for. Ain't nothing in here. >> This is not a search. >> Give me my ticket, please. >> You can wait a second. >> No, I cannot. >> You can hold on. >> Give me my ticket. Like I said, cuz that's all you got to do. How long have you been a police officer for? >> How long have you been what? [laughter] >> Years. >> You can never have been cuz you know I know my rights. So I take my ticket. >> Those are rights, guys. >> Okay. What What law school did you go to? >> Run that ticket and get my ticket and have a good night. This is tripping. >> Give the lady your ticket. >> Just run that ticket and have a good night. [music] obnoxious volume. >> Ma'am, can you turn the radio down, >> ma'am? >> Hey. Hey, that radio is too loud. >> Nothing else. You can go back there with him. >> I need to be able to hear behind me for traffic. >> Absolutely I do. >> Bye. [laughter] >> Don't be by my car. >> That's a >> Don't be by my car. >> I need to be right here. It's going to be It's a safety issue if I can't hear >> music. Back the up. So, in most cities or towns, there are noise bylaws or ordinances for loud music coming from a vehicle. Got her a citation for that as well. >> Also, you can't be playing music that loud out of your vehicle. >> Man, you can't tell me what the I can't play. >> I'm not saying you can't play that music. >> It can't be that loud. >> Kiss my ass. >> That's absolutely too loud. >> I have to get my ticket. That's all you need to worry about. >> You can stay up there, but don't worry about the radio. >> What a lady. >> [music] >> I don't know why y'all keep talking to me. I was >> This message is brought to you since kiss my ass. Y'all just turned off >> playing DJ. [music] Y'all be here for a minute [music] cuz my life is valid. I don't >> What's up with your partner? It don't take that long. >> Uh, sometimes it can. >> No, it don't. Cuz I got pulled over by the snow and it never take this long. So, see what your partner doing. >> You've been pulled over before. Weird. >> If I It don't take that long to write me a mother. >> Would you? You don't take that long to write my mother. >> So Stow does more traffic >> than Akan does. >> Don't [laughter] even try, brother. >> Go see what's up with my ticket. >> Yeah. So typically Stow does more traffic than we do. So they're probably more experienced when it comes to traffic side. >> Get your sto ass back. >> I'm just telling you how it is. >> No, you just sound like you just got in the police division. Don't pull me over for no bunch of them cars flying down the mother. It was a Mark Lane violation. >> Mark's my ass. Guess what? This case will be thrown out. So hurry up and write my ticket. >> Okay. >> Exhausting. >> You got to get out of the vehicle. >> Give my license. >> I will once you get out of the vehicle. >> No, I don't have to. Give me my license. >> Cuz we're towing the vehicle. >> The plates aren't expired. >> No. Don't. >> All right. >> Bye-bye. Hey, signal 5 taking off and stop. >> See that coming? >> She turned eastbound. >> He's literally holding her license. >> Burn speeds are 35. Still catching up to her right now. We have more lanes violations and then also tire plate. She took off. She said we're going to tell the vehicle. >> Carrie, we just got on the highway. We're going to get off the next exit. We're no longer pursuing. >> I had a feeling she was going to do that. >> Officers decided to avoid a high-risisk pursuit. I guess she forgot they had her license. Officers tracked her back to her home and arrested her, but she wasn't quite done. >> Hi. >> Oh, looks like they got her. Don't even come over here talking. >> You're going to get your ticket. Your car's going to get towed. >> I don't give a >> Don't do that. >> Oh, I will. >> What she said? >> All right. >> Classy lady. >> Well, we can start searching. >> Got it. [sighs] >> I wonder where the keys are. >> Hey, Sula, you got the keys? No, they might be on the front porch. So, she was inside. I just kicked the door in. >> Kicked the door in. >> That's a bottle she had. >> Wow. So, usually to go in someone's home, you would need a warrant, but if it's fresh and continued pursuit, which I'm guessing this was found there, went in and grabbed her >> right here. >> Oh, nice. >> So, she got pulled over. She decided to run >> for no reason. >> Got here at her house. So there's no one in jail tonight. She tried to fight >> right here that I pul that pulled me over tomorrow. This right here pulled me over. >> I did. >> She is not being cooperative. So no one's talking to her. You guys can sit in your truck and wait. If she calms down, I'll let you talk. >> You see very little argument or push back from her family or friends here. They know her and they know there is no talking to her. >> Right now, nobody's talking to her. >> Why is the camera? >> Anytime we get in a use of force with somebody, we come back. >> Why did I go back to the car? >> Because it's getting towed. >> It's getting towed. >> That's why she ran from the traffic stop. The plates are expired. >> Because the plates are expired and then she ran from us. We got into a chase with her and then she came back here. >> If a hard plate is expired by more than a month, >> I literally have her license right here from our traffic stop. [laughter] >> They're the ones that got her. They came back here >> and she ran from us. So, it's also being seized for that. So, like I said, if she calms down, I'll let you guys talk to her. But right now, you guys wouldn't mind just sitting in your truck and waiting for her. Okay? Or in the house. I mean, it's her house if you want to sit. >> It really is such a bonehead move. They have all your information already and you flee. They're just going to get a warrant for you and you're going to get arrested later. You might as well just get it over with. >> Was it this one? >> Yeah. So, like it wouldn't open. So, I kicked I think that's my footprint right here. I like kicked it to pop the lock open. >> Okay. And then it finally popped cuz it was locked at first. >> So she was sitting here. >> Yeah. She was standing there, walked towards the wooden door and I grabbed her to put her arms behind her back. She pulled. So I had a bit of take down. We landed on this couch thing right here. >> 2330. >> Whoa. Sit in here. Hi. I'm Sergeant Smith. >> I'm the on duty sergeant tonight. >> Can you listen to these? >> Yeah, I can check them real quick. Who are them cops right here? >> What? What? >> Because first of all, he told me, "Ma'am, I'm here to get your side of the story. I'm not My name is I'm not here for anything but the uh traffic stop." >> Well, you see, I'm still going to jail. >> Yes, ma'am. You are. >> Okay. So, why don't you need my side of the story first? >> Cuz I like to get your side of the story. >> Why you believe your sergeant, you believe your police before you believe a citizen? >> I have to do an investigation and I get I like to get your side of the story cuz your side counts. >> Do it. Really? It does. I don't think so. I gave him my ID. I said, "Just give me my ticket cuz that's what you could get. Just give me my ticket." Cuz one, I just checked Georgia's list. >> My license is still valid. >> So, I don't know what it shows canled over here. >> You know, it's bad when you have to check your license status. >> Valid. >> Yeah. Okay. >> And he said he was towing my car. No, they're not because my license is valid. All you have to do is go a ticket cuz >> Well, your license plates expired. So, that's a reason we can tow it. Additionally, they'd have to ver Additionally, they have to verify your license through Georgia. We'd have to run that through the radio. >> But my understanding is we didn't even get that opportunity cuz >> because they never did. They already came and said they was towing my car. >> Okay. So, what happened? >> So, they never did. >> What happened after they said what happened after that? >> I pulled off. >> She's not going to listen or absorb anything you say. She is right. You are wrong. Let her go. That's what she wants. >> So, you just left the traffic stop. >> Yes. >> Okay. Do you feel that you were free to leave? >> No, because what you towing my car for? >> Okay, >> that's still what you towing my car for. >> Okay, >> I just had got a citation last week. They have to give me >> shocker >> the reason of why they towing my car. >> Well, it sounds like they may not have had opportunity. >> They automatically said they towing my car. They didn't say, "Ma'am, well, it looks like your license is being sus or suspended or anything like that >> cuz it's your registration." >> They automatically said we're towing your car. >> Do you have any questions that I could answer? Why? What you going to answer for me, sir? >> Any questions that you have? That's what I would like to answer cuz right now I'm here and on scene >> and in a little while you'll be on your way to county. >> I'll sleep there. >> So, >> court be a Monday. >> We'll check in on her charges in just a moment, but first we have a suspected hit and run where the driver is cooperative, but the passenger turns on the officers. >> Hello. >> Hi there. >> What's going on tonight? So, we just got pulled over. I We weren't even speeding. We just got pulled over. >> Let me have you step out so I can talk to you. >> Yeah, she's aware. >> No problem. >> All right. I just want to have a conversation with you without her inter interrupting. >> I'm sorry about that. She's been drinking tonight. I haven't. >> Okay. You haven't had anything to drink at all? >> No. >> Okay. So, part of the reason we're asking you that is the caller who was behind you stated that you crashed into something and then kept going. I haven't hit any into anything as to my concern. >> She's not hit anything to her concern. She sounds pretty sober, >> but >> So, what I am going to ask you is I'm going to ask you do some field test just to make sure you're not in here before. >> No problem. >> So, we'll go over here where we got some wine. >> Would you guys like me to open? >> No, you can leave. No, I'm fully open to letting you guys know what's going on. I've been through it and I'm not trying to go through it again. We we don't have guns on us and also like if we have on us like seriously it's minimum like it's legal. >> No, like I will drop my purse. I respect you guys. >> If that makes you feel comfortable. >> No, like I respect you guys and honestly I know you don't have a warrant for our car right now. >> We're not asking to go in your car. >> But if >> you can close the door, >> like if I'm being No. And I know I can. I know my rights. My My dad is lieutenant of the state. And I'm not trying to get, you know what I mean? >> Lieutenant of the state. >> I have a very great friend in Rome called biggest dickers. >> Wow, that's a big title. >> I'm not trying to be like hard on you guys or anyway. I'm trying to work with you guys. And honestly, if you did want to search this vehicle, you wouldn't find anything. You might find like a gram of like 3 g of maximum. I'm not lying to you. I would have no reason to lie to you guys. I don't have a gun in this vehicle. I >> We never said that you did. Our concern was that someone was behind you and they said that you guys crashed into something. >> The thing with me and her is like we're completely honest. Like I I am a hunter at heart and I believe in hunting and I believe in killing animals, >> but I don't. >> You can search this vehicle. I promise you guys. I promise you guys. >> Like my my ex his father-in-law is lieutenant of the state. >> Is it your dad or your ex's father-in-law? Someone is the lieutenant of the state here. >> We have nothing. If I had a gun, I would tell you I had a gun. >> You know why? I would tell you I had a gun >> because then I would have to deal with that in the in the in the in the cardboard. But I don't. >> Okay. >> I do not have a gun and I promise >> I would never like attack you guys. >> I don't know. You're talking a lot about guns and knives >> in like anyway. Like I swear if you want to if you want to search me, >> I give my full consent. I literally have no knife on me. I know I had a knife in the back pocket, but it's gone. I don't know where it went. >> Turn around. Put your hand behind your back under. >> For what? >> Her friend's not making out so well. >> Yeah. Can you just give me a minute? >> Yeah, sure. Take your time. >> Like, please, guys. Like, please. Like, can I go talk to her? >> So, unfortunately, she and I have to go downtown cuz there's still one more one more. >> Can I please talk to her? >> She's not going to be in jail for very long. All right. >> No, no, no, no. You need to let me. >> Huge emotional swings goes handinhand with being very drunk, as we all know. >> You need to let me know. Are you going to bail [laughter] her out? >> She's not. She's No. >> Stop. Let me explain this to you. >> Can I go talk? >> She She's not going to need a bond. It's going to be It's not going to take that long. So, I got to take her downtown. >> Can I get my phone out? >> I need this. I'm not kidding. Where's my phone? Excuse me, sir. I'm >> all right. >> I need to get this. >> No, no, no, no. You're good. You're good. >> Please explain. >> So, why are you arresting her? She's under arrest for driving illegal sometimes liquor and alcohol >> and or drugs. >> No, there is no influence under drugs. >> There is absolutely >> but definitely alcohol. >> That's that's just what the state statute says. >> It's that's the whole thing. >> That's that's all. Can you call someone to give you a ride home? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You're free to go, but we got to get you a ride first cuz you can't drive the car. Honestly, at the end of the day, like if you want to check, like you want to check this vehicle, you guys can. All you're going to find at the end of the day, if I'm being honest with you, is like one grand. >> You want to go ahead and find a ride? >> Yeah. Okay. >> Let's start searching the car. Okay. >> Just shut your mouth. Shut your mouth. Get yourself home. You're not under arrest. You're not being charged with anything yet. Shut your mouth. >> We just have to take inventory. >> No, there's no warrant. No, there's no warrant. >> So, >> there's no warrant. You're not searching the car. >> We're taking an inventory of the vehicle. >> You're not searching the car without a warrant. You don't have a warrant. >> You want to find a ride? >> So, the car is being towed. They can do an inventory of the vehicle. Not a search. An inventory. No warrant needed. >> I'll find a ride, but you're not searching. >> But you're not searching this car without a warrant. You are not. Absolutely not. And I And and and respectfully, I told you I don't have guns in this vehicle. I'm not going to explain this. >> You're not searching this vehicle. >> If we're going to start arguing, I'm going to have you step out of warrant. You do not have a warrant. So, you're going to have >> It's not No, you're not. >> I need you to step out of the vehicle. >> So, you're going to search me now? >> No. >> Okay, I will. This is this vehicle getting searched or not? Call the lieutenant. >> Please >> call the lieutenant of the state. He'll know what to do. He always knows. You're not searching this kid. >> I am the acting sergeant on duty right now. >> Okay. Well, call the main. Please call him. >> If you would like to call the mayor, please do. >> No, call the main sergeant. I would love to talk to him right now. >> Call the main guy. >> Call the main sergeant right now. >> We're done. >> She's the acting sergeant. >> Call the main. Is the vehicle being searched or not? >> I'm just going to >> No. Is there >> What do you need out of the car? Do you need your purse? You need to come out of the car. >> Okay, I understand. >> But is there a warrant for this? Is there >> anything in the back seat that you need for? >> No, but is there a warrant for this personal vehicle? >> The vehicle has to be inventoried before it goes into the >> the literally all I needed to know. I'm not >> Is there anything you need to get out of the car? >> No. >> Do you have your your phone? You want to start making those phone calls? >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> Do you want to sit in the back seat where it's warm while you find a ride? >> Do that with me. This one has a knife, so I'm going to put it in front. >> Yeah, 100%. Please >> 100%. We have Joe Rogan to thank for this. >> 100%. >> Um, >> 100%. You kept saying it over and over and now it's in the culture. Thanks, Joe. >> I would I would actually like you to do that to separate. I'm I'm compliant. I appreciate you guys. I love you guys. >> You good if I close the door? Yes. >> Okay. I'm cool with >> 100%. >> So, find a ride. Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> You need to go to the bathroom, >> huh? >> Geckos is right here if you need to go to the bathroom. >> Are you going to wait in Geckos for your ride? >> Yeah, I'm I'm waiting for the ride any minute. >> Okay. You good to wait inside there? You use the bathroom? >> Can they go to the bathroom and come back? Do you want to just wait in there? >> I'm waiting for a ride. >> She's like, "If you'd like to go to the bathroom and then just never come back to here, that'd be fine with us." Okay. >> Right now? >> Yeah. >> But can I go? >> Yeah, you can go. >> Are you guys going to stay here? >> Oh, until the vehicle's towed. >> All right. >> So, where do I go? >> Uh, right over here inside Gecko. >> I'll be right back. >> You can wait. Hey, >> great. >> So, you just want to wait in there for your ride >> in the bathroom? No, it's a restaurant. >> I'm scared [laughter] without you guys. >> I love you guys. I love you. >> She loves you. >> I'll be right back out. >> Don't worry, guys. I'm coming back. >> Despite operating at a legendary level of drunkenness, she was able to find her way to the station in attempt to force her way inside before the officer came out to talk to her. >> That building are people who are either dressed like >> you're not going to like let me wait. No. >> Damn.
