So why is it that your officers think that it's okay? Why do my people care? Why are your officers trained so poorly? >> YOU'RE GOING TO BITE ME. >> CHOKE ME, BABY. Choke me. >> On May 16th, 2025, officers in Florida were on duty downtown when a heavily intoxicated woman approached their cruiser to pick a fight about the police. Even as her friend pleaded with her to walk away, she refused to stop raiding the officers. Here's what the officers did next. >> Can you back out just a little bit? >> I appreciate it. You're also in the street. >> I'm so sorry. >> When it comes to PPD versus skin, when it comes to somebody blatantly drunk down the road, they don't got no [ __ ] Ain't nothing. PPD turns a blind eye. They don't go like, "Oh, hey, maybe we'll call a taxi. Maybe we But but Escambia will go ahead and sit with them, charge their phone, be like, okay, baby, we got you." So, what's the difference? Why is it that y'all suck so majorly? >> Stop, please. >> Why is it that y'all? >> I wasn't there. Look, >> y'all don't care for the community. >> You're asking me a question. I'm going answer your question. Look, I wasn't there during either one of those situations. >> How? >> So, I don't know what happened and I can't speak for them. >> When it when Stop. >> Each officer is different >> when it comes to PPD. >> Yeah. >> Why is it that y'all don't care as much for the community of Pensacola? >> I can't speak on behalf of the officers that were there. Y'all do as for Escambia County. >> Is there anything else you want to ask besides that? Cuz I already gave you an answer. >> This is police love. Please. >> Look, we're being we're being nice right now. >> Really nice. >> I answered your question. >> Other than that, do you need anything else? >> Police. >> Why don't y'all care as much? Like what are y'all? Like Like what are y'all principles in terms of people being drunk and needing a ride home? Stop. Stop. No. No. I'm asking I'm asking a gen 21 question. >> And if he doesn't give a good answer, >> I I will off. >> Okay. >> I will off. >> Sorry. I didn't mean to touch the car, sir. >> Um >> so when it comes Stop, I'm giving a scenario. >> You're out of nowhere. Nothing [ __ ] to do. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You're in your car sitting ass and got a thing to do besides paperwork, right? >> Yeah. >> Somebody comes up with you drunk as lost as phone is dead. What are you going to do? >> Someone comes up to me and their phone's dead. >> Somebody is lost as drunk as phone is dead. They're confused. They just want to go home. What are you as a PPD officer? What are you going to do? >> I'm going to do anything I can to help them. Charge their phone. Charge their phone. >> Which which is what? >> Charge their phone. >> If I can give them a ride, if I'm going to be able to give them a ride anywhere, then give them a ride. >> Other than that, charge their phone and contact someone to come get them. What about the rest of your ass officers? >> I can't speak for them. Look, these two guys, they're great with us. >> They would have the same answer as mine. Maybe better, right? But I can't speak on behalf of anyone else. I don't know what happened with you. So, >> okay. So, so let me ask you, what does PP do that Escambia County doesn't? >> What do y'all do that Gambia What does Escambia handle that you don't? >> Different jurisdiction. That's it. They're they're out in the county. We're a city. Esc handles a lot of in town [ __ ] So what do they do? >> But in Pensacola city limits, >> we're the city police there in the county. >> Okay. But they handle a lot of the gang [ __ ] A lot of the shooting [ __ ] So what do you do? >> We handle a lot of that as well, >> which is what? >> A lot of the shooting and stuff. Is there any anything else you need other than that? I answered your questions. >> Okay. So why are officers training so poorly? >> Look, I I can't answer that. All right. No, we're good here. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Hey, >> you guys need to back up a little. All right. >> I'm I'm I'm not >> You're also kind of in the street, so you guys should probably just get going. >> Actually, no. >> Telling us to go. >> You've been drinking. You should get out the street. You guys should just go. >> This is telling us to go. >> There's nothing else. You should probably just go home, right? >> So, why is it that your officers think that it's okay to deny people care? >> I respect how much. >> Why do you think that it's okay to deny people care when they need it the most? >> I've never denied anyone care. Okay. I can't speak for anyone else. >> Okay. So, how would you enact change to those officers of yours that you're blood and bound to those officers that you're blood and bound to compare >> that you're denying care to >> your friend here? You guys should just go. All right. You've just been drinking. >> But I'm I'm asking when it comes down to it to the officers we can have a conversation when you haven't been drinking. Okay. For the officers that want you, for the officers that are denying blood and care, right? They're denying >> everything. Look at me. They're denying blood and care. >> You should go. Okay. Seriously, you should go. >> Look at me. >> And you're complicit. >> You're complicit, which makes you better. I'm complicit. >> You start getting aggressive. You guys should go. >> But you're complicit. >> Which makes you no [ __ ] >> Yep. Move over. >> Barely 20 minutes after their first encounter, the situation turns violent when officers spot Ryland in a nearby parking lot throwing punches at a group of people. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> I gave homeboy my my wallet. >> My wallet. Hey, I said, "Can I give them my wallet?" You said, "I CAN GIVE THEM MY WALLET." >> YOU SAID I COULD GIVE THEM MY WALLET. >> BACK UP. >> YOU said >> back up. I will talk to you in a second. Back up. >> LEFT POCKET. >> I'm not going to tell you again. Go on the street over there. >> Take my wallet. You said I could get mying wallet. Baby, take my wallet, baby. I can't. You told me to back up. >> TAKE MY LEFT. I SAID MY LEFT. THAT'S NOT MY LEFT, IS IT? >> IF you listen TO THE DIRECTION THE FIRST PLACE, I SAID LEFT. IF YOU KNEW YOUR LEFT, RIGHT? NOT SAY LEFT. I SAID LEFT. >> Watch out. Back up. >> If I said left the first time. Really? REALLY? REALLY? >> Stop fighting me. Look, you weigh about 100 lb. You need to stop. You're not going to win this. >> Stop. >> What? How say that? HOW MANY RAPIST? >> HOW MANY RAPISTS SAY THAT I'M 100B? >> SIR, CAN I TOUCH UP? I'M TELLING you to back up. >> I can't touch HER AT ALL. >> NO. BACK UP. Are you going to jail, too? Back up now. >> I'm not going to tell you again, dude. I have BEEN BACK UP. >> I CAN'T. YOU'RE GOING TO GO TO JAIL IF YOU DON'T BACK UP. >> TAKE MY GLASSES. BUY A TIRE. BUY A FIRE. >> RYLAND, PLEASE. >> Please just for transport. >> RYLAND, PLEASE. >> I'M DONE. I'm done. MY HANDS ARE cut to each other. >> All right, we're done. We're done. >> RELAX. >> BEFORE HE RUNS OVER, >> WE'RE NOT GOING TO RUN your glasses. >> Chill. >> CAN I GRAB YOUR GLASSES? >> GRAB HIM. SIR, THERE'S NOTHING I CAN >> HE CAN'T DO [ __ ] WHEN HE'S TIED TO ME, he can't do how many times I have to TELL WHEN HE'S TIED TO ME. BACK UP. HE can't do [ __ ] on the sidewalk. >> WHEN HE'S TIED TO ME, HE CAN'T DO [ __ ] When he's tied to me. >> Hey, baby. Listen, listen. Listen. Hey, LISTEN TO ME. VERY CLEAR. >> STOP. LISTEN TO ME. CUZ THEY ALREADY TOUCHED ME. I'M I'M I'M NOT I I'M not I'm like we don't have a man searching you in this facility. It will either be me or another female officer who is searching but like I said at any point in time if you act reckless with me and her then they will put their hand. You understand that? So, I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt to walk out yourself and walk with me. >> Who else is behind you? >> Ain't nobody that not they have nothing to do with me. Okay. He's just here to make sure that you don't with me. So, come on. I'm trying to grab your arms. Come on. Come on. Down. Come on. The suspect was charged with resisting an officer with violence, three counts of battery on an officer, and disorderly intoxication. In court, she initially pleaded not guilty to all charges. The court found her guilty on all three charges and sentenced her to 11 months and 30 days in county jail with 111 days of credit for time served.
