As a cop, arrests can be tough, but the worst ones always involve kids. In this video, we've got a 13-year-old who finally snapped after living in terrible conditions at home. >> And in another case, we'll see a man who actually tries to use his own baby as a human shield to stop the police from arresting him. >> Put the baby down. You're going to get taken. >> The cops were called by the mom after she said her son was attacking her. >> Y'all need to take him. Y'all need to take him. >> Pick me. Y'all need to get him. >> Y'all need to take him. Take his ass, sir. >> He ain't coming back in this house. >> You start. >> I'm done. >> Take his ass to jail. >> Oh boy. >> You going where you want to be? >> I'm kill you when I come out next time. >> DON'T DO IT. DON'T DO IT. >> I got the male. Shut up. >> Shut up. >> So, this is just a kid. He's obviously wicked upset. He's making threats, but we got to figure out what's going on here. Why is he in this condition? Is >> he the one or the He's the one screaming. I need one of you to stand by with him. >> Was he hitting her when you got here? >> He was hitting her as soon as you got here. >> Yeah. in there. >> Hold on. WE PULLING THE DOGS UP. >> I'm pulling the kid in the family. >> Yeah. Really? >> Y'all taking He ain't coming back. >> We'll get there. Can you tell me what happened? >> Yeah. So, he's been slick out the mouth all day. >> Mhm. >> Real slick. Real nasty. you all this stuff and I tell him to leave me alone. So I was out here on the bed minding my own business. I want to go cookies. So I sat up there and he going to try to snatch him out of my hand. So then he goes to try to antagonize provoke the situation. Sit on the bed. I asked him, "Can you please remove yourself? I don't want to talk to you. You don't need to be around me right now with how you talking to me." I've had multiple issues with him. Put hands on me. He's sitting up there off the bed. I asked him to move and he's not moving. I said, "You need to move from out my premises right now. I don't want to speak to you." So I pushed him off of my bed. He going to turn around, put his phone down, and come and swing on me. And that's when I choked his ass the up because he was pulling my head and trying to still hit me. His stepdad in there right now could be a witness to everything. >> Okay, >> these are really tough because in most states, a parent can put their hands on a kid. So, it's not like a cut and dry domestic where the parent is allowed to do some kind of corporal punishment, but then the kid retaliates. It's not that clear. >> What's going on with you, my man? Why you upset? >> I told her to put my damn shoes down. I try to grab my basketball shoes to tell her to put her down. She want to push me. So I put my ass back on her and then that's when the fight started happening. >> She punched you, you said over some shoes. >> No, it was just me and her. She had me in a choke. >> So did you hit her? >> Yeah, but she touched me first. I didn't try. >> What did she do when she touched you? >> I She put my shoes I put my I took my phone in my room. You threw your phone in the room and then what? >> Then I went back out there very that's when me and her heard started throwing hands and then she had me to choke on her. >> So who threw the hands first? >> Her. >> What did she do? >> Pushed me and then when I came back out I sw I swung on her. >> So she pushed you like telling you to go back to your room or what? >> Like a full push. So she just push you >> and that you're me and then >> so then you just punched her with your fist. >> You know your your parents are allowed to do corporal punishment, right? So if they're giving you some kind of guidance and they're telling you, "Hey, stop doing this or go to your room or whatever." >> She didn't she didn't tell me to stop. That's the thing. But you just said you guys were verbally arguing and then that's when she pushed you. Just take a deep breath. We'll get everything figured out. >> So, we're just figuring out what's going on here. But it is incredibly difficult to, especially with sons 13, 14 years old, they do start to become, even at that age, stronger than the mother. So, whether it was justified in this kid's mind or not, he really needs to learn to keep his hands to himself. >> Did you see what happened? >> Oh, yeah. I had to hold him in the room. >> You had what? >> I had to hold him in the room. >> Okay. Can you tell me what happened? Huh? >> Can you tell me what happened with her? >> She told her, "Get out of space here. from death. >> Mhm. If >> I had to get up and grab him and put him in the room. >> Did he swing at her first? >> I'm not going to touch my child. I'm saying myself. >> He tell you to get out of the face. >> That's your son or >> That's my physical son. Yeah. I carried him for 8 months in one week. Pedal. >> It don't matter if she hit him or not. That's her job. >> If I tell you to get out of my face and you steady provoking me, you and I move you away from me. I ain't swing on him. I got the right to move him out of my face. >> Yeah. So I went to go push him out of my bed and out of my face. He going to buck up to me like he hard >> and he going to swing on me. So I got him in a choke hold and I put my hand down on his throat and he still trying to swing on me and pull my hell. Even when he was removed from the situation, you can see his room all the property damage he did in there and I'm going to have to come out of pocket for he's not coming back here until he learned his lesson. I've tried. >> I've tried. >> No. Can you just raise your right hand for me? >> Yep. >> Say your full name and date of birth. >> So she asked you to feed the cats and you didn't watch it. So that so that kind of started it basically. >> At least you're going to go somewhere a lot cleaner. Okay. I >> I know you're going to juvie, but >> you're outside. I wouldn't even want to be in there. Okay. So, we're going to get it figured out. >> The house is disgusting. >> Condition is horrible. >> Yeah. Can you fix the stuff? I've been to houses like that and it is truly heartbreaking to witness and I can only imagine how challenging it is for these officers right now to have to walk through this. Step out real quick. Let me fix the cops for you. All right. Okay. Stand. >> Where is your injury? >> This somewhere still. >> All right. Just put your arms out like this for me. >> So you said he messed up his room, right? >> Yeah. It's could be just food, but he brought my TV. >> Yeah. >> So, I just need to go in there and verify you got electricity, running water, food. >> You said you have cats. >> Yeah, I got cats. >> All right. >> I got into she kept saying she was going to sell my Xbox, the TV that she bought. And after that, she tried to steal my shoes that I I was going to use for school. Amen. And >> you go in there. >> How long have you been living like that? >> How long have you been living like that? >> Nearly a year. >> Like a year >> nearly. Or we have >> Dude, you got poop all over your room and stuff. >> Wow. >> Like a lot of poop. >> I I can't breathe in that house. >> You can take him out of cuffs. Just leave him in the car. I'm going to call a s. >> Yeah, bro. Hey, what I seen in there is worst thing I've ever seen. >> So, just stay in the call for us. >> We'll figure everything out. All right, bud. >> Hey, sir. Can you come over to the seat? Um, I think I'm going to have to arrest both the parents for uh neglect. And um I haven't looked up exactly charge, but like the housing there is disgusting. He's living in pieces. Like there's just all over his room and bed and all over the house. >> It is crazy what people can get used to. You walk into a house, you can barely even stand in there. You feel like dry heaving and they're just walking around like just another day. >> Smell it from the outside. Um, okay. He's on the way. >> 12. >> So I guess it's he's going to be processed or >> uh Yeah, he's doing the investigation. Uh, if it's how you guys are saying, then yeah, he'll he'll get taken to Jack. So, um, >> when I was younger, it was >> Well, we'll we'll knock on the door if we need anything else. All right, >> let me go see what he has right now. >> Let's go get some cigarettes. So, >> okay. >> All right. Thank you. >> No problem. >> Bro, he's literally living in the middle of the >> with no bedding. >> His room is like like it's inhumane. There's drugs everywhere. >> Like I'm traumatized by what I just seen. >> I could smell it from the outside. All the mom I don't know how he's not covered in bed bugs. Yeah. >> Jesus Christ. You might even have um animal cruelty. >> Three dogs inside of one cage living in feces. >> Jeez, >> bro. As a dad of a 10year-old boy, that [ __ ] breaks my heart. >> It's disgusting. >> I can attest to that. Once you have children and you're still on the job, these types of cases get so much harder. >> I would be losing my mind, too, bro. Like, you're >> living in inhumane conditions. >> There's a bunch of snakes, snake crates in his closet stacked up. One >> snakes in there, >> huh? >> Snakes in there. >> I think so. Inside the closet. I'm telling you, it's probably the worst thing I've ever seen. >> Sarge. >> So, this uh this poor kid, man, he's living in possibly the most inhumane conditions I've ever seen anyone live in. There's poop in his room. There's three dogs inside of a crate. There's poop right next to his bed. It smells I I couldn't I couldn't breathe. >> Let's Let's start from the beginning. call here >> 3831. >> He punched his mother allegedly first. When Mitri got here first, he was already in a so when I got here, he was already arguing with the mom at the door. Then he kicked her in front of me. So detained and put him in the car and both the mom and the stepdad say he started it. So I mean I only really have charges for him >> at this point in time. >> At this point how many other kids are in the house? >> Just him. >> Just this kid. Okay. >> How old is this kid? >> 13. Right. >> And you said there was drugs inside the house. >> Yeah. >> Did you guys collect the drugs? >> No. I mean, right. But it's like scattered. >> All right. Well, let's take a look real quick. >> Hey, can we step over here real quick? >> Yeah. >> You have some redness on your face. >> Yeah. That's where he swung from. Yeah. Okay. I mean, I don't know. I don't know what else to do. You know, it's it's I had to choke my son. You know, these officers so badly want to explain to her that maybe she had a little bit of uh involvement in the way this kid is turning out, the way this kid is acting out, but they're trying to maintain their professionalism. >> I don't want it, but you can't keep swinging on people. I do what I can and I know he's a good kid. He got anger issues and he doesn't know how to do it, but you can't swing on people. >> Yeah. So, let's do this. Uh, we got to do a walk through the house. I know they did that already, but we got to do that again. The dogs put up. Yeah, they're put up. I do got cats out, though. >> Okay, I'm fine. >> Okay. All right. >> No issues with cats. >> All right. >> Not allergic. >> Okay. >> Let me get my phone. I feel like I'm going to need to make a phone call. >> No, no, no. You're good. >> She knows. >> Where you at? Because I don't know what they trying to do. They got me trying to stay outside. I can't even walk. >> All right. Well, you need to hurry up and come back >> ASAP. >> Just go ahead and stay outside. >> I can't put this back in my house. Why? Why can't keep it at keep >> Why can't I go in my household though? >> Just keep it outside. >> Cuz you'll lock the door. >> Okay. >> So why can't I go in my household? >> Cuz I'm telling you not to. >> Why though? >> Cuz you're being detained right now. >> For what? >> Criminal charges for child neglect. >> For neglect? >> Yeah. >> For what? >> You're not neglected. >> Disgusting in there. >> Okay. I'm not the only person that lives there. >> You said you are. >> Me and him do. And he just got kicked out a week ago. Yeah. >> What? Hey, they trying to take me to jail for child neglect. So, Paul, >> ma'am, can I talk to you real quick? >> I'm talking to my dad cuz he just told me I'm being detained. So, >> I just want something to know. >> Okay. Well, >> you didn't know that. >> Can you do me a favor? Put out the cigarette. >> Can I finish smoke first before y'all put me in handcuffs? >> Two quick puffs. >> Okay. >> Deep puffs for me. Okay. >> Yep. Cuz he going to line them. >> So, ma'am, I'll explain everything to you. Okay. The reason you're being detained and the reason you're going to be placed under arrest for child neglect is because of the living condition. I >> there's food in the house. He has clean clothes. There's water. There's all of that. I need to make sure that my property gets my car gets back here first before anything. >> But we will work on that. Perfect. >> We're going to go ahead and place you in handcuffs. Let me make sure I put the cigarette out. >> Can I get some pants on? I know. Not this second. We'll grab them in a second. We'll let you switch out. >> The last thing you want to do is let somebody go back into their house. She could lock the door. She could go at the back door. Could be weapons in there. You just got to you got to get her hooked up. Hey, come on. They're taking me to jail. >> Sir, do me a favor. Just hang out here for a >> second. For >> child neglect. >> Child neglect. She don't know child neglect. What's the child neglect? >> Hold on. Hold up. >> What the child neglect? >> The living conditions of poor inside the house. Okay. >> So, >> he don't clean. >> Well, it's still amazing. >> You tell him to clean. He don't clean. >> He's He's a juvenile. >> He's a He can clean, too. If you can eat, you can clean. >> I get that. I understand that. Right. But it's But it's not only hang out by the car. This one right here, the first one. >> So, that's the flip side of it, right? You can do corporal punishment to your child, but also you are ultimately responsible for them and the conditions they're living in. You are you're the parent. >> Just leave it. It's fine. Just take care of the animals, please. >> Walk over. >> The the actual living room itself is in the same condition as his room. And his room isn't great. >> Okay. The living room is not great. It's hard. And I get it, right? Sometimes we're in these predicaments where have the ability necessarily to take care of everything that we like. We both we both work. >> Okay. Well, perfect. All right. But at the end of the day, >> so that's his his job. That's his job. >> The maintain the house, take out the trash. You don't want to do that. >> But at some point, the parents have to step in. >> You don't do that. You 13. >> You're a teenager. >> I get that. I get that. But at some point, >> we can't do everything. We tired when we come home. >> Yeah, I get that. I get that. But at some point, something has to take place because >> that's why she called out. just the sake of time he don't swung on her. >> Okay. And we're addressing that. Okay. But as we're addressing that, we also have the issue of the the the deplorable living conditions. Okay. And I get it, right? Times are tough. He's not listening. >> You don't you want to eat everything. You don't want to clean it. You don't want >> at some point, right, for animals and and it's more or less because of the animals, right? Because there's feces all over the place. And it's dried feces and it smells like urine, which means the dogs aren't being taken out. >> Yeah. They take it out, >> but but at some point they're they're urinating and and and defecating inside the house. Okay. It's extremely poor healthwise to be breathing all that in. It's not great, right? >> So, I need it for when I get out for someone to come hit me. >> Sure. >> How am I with a seat belt right there? >> You can just sit. >> You know, when you go to a house like this, as soon as you're at the threshold, that ammonia smell is so strong and you know it's just going to be a bad one. Hey, whatever happens today, >> I'm sorry for everything that you've been having to go through. All right? You shouldn't be living that way. All right? And I feel for you. I really do. All right? I'm sorry you had to live that way. All right? You didn't do the best for you. >> I feel for this kid. >> When I was younger, it hurt like real bad. >> Oh, man. Heartbreak. Give me a hard one. >> I'm sorry. Okay. All right. Try to get you some help. All right. Whatever happens, get through it. And let's restart over. All right. >> This is hard to watch. >> Hey, how come he's not in cuffs, kid? No. Put him in cuffs. All right, man. He's under arrest. >> So, I just got done speaking with your boyfriend. Okay. Do you want the house to be released to him? >> Yeah. Do >> you want the car to be released to him? >> Thanks to him. He got my keys. He >> He's fine with all that. I just want to make sure that you're okay with that because I mean, I ain't got nothing else. That's all I got. So, yeah, he's fine. At this point, Julie is a favor to get him out of the house. >> Absolutely. >> Honestly though, I mean, I know it sucks that they got to take him, too. But go get him in front of the courts. >> Yeah. >> With all their targets have I'll show it to you. >> God help this kid. You guys in there and got on. >> Anything for a kid just kept in that kind of right there. >> He's got no toys. He's got no entertainment. He's got poop on his bed. Urine. Urine and poop everywhere in his room. He got snakes living in his closet. It's disgusting, bro. >> Nightmare. We'll find out what charges the mom received in a minute. But first, this man had been accused of assault and other abuse to his girlfriend. When cops arrived, they found a man caring for his infant baby. But it becomes clear he was carrying the baby for a different reason. >> Bravo 34 up 1097 1025. Believe with both subjects. >> What's your name? >> I'm going to give you my name for a second. >> Because I asked and because I'm investigating a crime, that's why. >> Okay, I'm going to record this. >> Okay, go ahead and do that. I'm doing the same. All right. I'm investigating a reported crime. My name is Officer Williams. I'm going to ask you your name one more time. If you refuse to give me your name, I'm going to arrest you for for resisting without violence. >> Um, I I haven't committed no crime. What? >> I'm I'm investigating a reported crime. >> All right. What's the crime that's >> Okay. Well, you know what? Let me do the investigation. I'm the police officer here, not you. >> Please, sir. You have Please call your sergeant, sir. >> No, I'm not calling my sergeant just yet. I'm going to deal with you right now. Okay. >> No. Please, sir. Do not touch me, C. >> I'm not I'm not here to touch you. >> Don't touch me. I'm not here to touch you. >> Okay. I I tell you what, I'm not backing up. I'm going to stay right where I am. >> Back up, please. >> 37 Bravo 34 camp. Uh Delta, respond. >> Did you Are you the one who called? >> Are you okay? >> Do you need rescue? >> You got a knot on your head? >> Uhhuh. >> Okay. Can I have them come in and look at you? >> Have them come in and look at you? Okay. I need you to get off the phone. All right. >> I'm on the phone with the >> with Okay. Tell her we're here. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> She said she's going to put the call in for rescue. >> Okay. Thank you. What happened? >> Um so yesterday, yesterday, um >> Okay. So yesterday basically, um the baby threw up. >> Okay. >> So then that's when I was trying to do a online visit with the doctor for the baby. I'm 17. He's 18. So I'm pretty sure they'll probably give >> Wow. Young instead of me. Then today I was me and my son was laying in bed. I was sleep. I guess my son was out watching TV. He went into the baby in his room for the baby in his room proceeded to wake me up, try to play with me or whatever. >> And then and then that's when he proceeded to have tried to have sex with me. I said no. >> And then I grabbed the keys, proceeded to walk out the door, and he banged my head into the wall. >> Okay. >> It's a it's proof of the house, but >> Okay. Is there a hole in the wall or something? >> Okay. And then what happened after that? >> I just came out the door and he started grabbing all him and the baby stuff and putting it in my mom's car. >> Where's your mom? >> She's out. Okay. I need you to call your mom and have her come. >> I don't want to put my family with your mom. But >> but I but you're a but you're a minor. You are a minor. So I'm going to need I definitely need need a parent here because I'm going to need to take a statement from you and you can't agree to give me a statement. It's got to be your parents who have to do all that stuff. How old is the baby? >> One. >> One. Okay. >> You should play at work, bro. >> Can you come? You got to come home. Why? >> The police is here. >> For what? >> Just you got to come home. >> Can you tell me what happened? >> Tell what happened. >> Kale, I guess came and got Kim, put Kim in his room, woke me up, started playing with me. You know how he do his little play or whatever. And then, Mom, you don't have to have to hyperventilate. >> Poor woman. >> I got to go home. >> Start by saying we're all okay. And then tell the situation. Your poor mother. She's hyperventilating on the phone. She works all the way in Davy. So I don't know. >> Oh shoot. So where's your dad? >> He lives all the way in front. >> He lives in front of I mean somebody. Yeah, they're both equally far away. >> Oh lord. Can I hit you? >> No, he >> Okay. I don't know. I lost conscious. I don't know. But >> you lost consciousness. So >> yeah, >> I got down. >> You were you were knocked out >> for how long? How long do you think? >> I don't know. >> Okay. Having a baby at this age is difficult to say the least. And now it's going to get more difficult because domestic violence has occurred, a child was present, Department of Children and Families will have to investigate and now they're probably going to open a case on you. So hopefully they can give her some guidance and get her on the right track. >> Yeah, >> she went unconscious. >> Don't put your hands on that officer again. Okay. I didn't touch him. I didn't touch him at all. I'm recording. I didn't touch him. >> You can You can record all you want. >> Just don't push against him again. >> So, obviously, he's not going to put the baby down. He's using it as a shield. This is his defense. So, they can't grab him cuz I want to hurt the baby. So, obviously, that's what he's doing. >> Okay. You're not going to No, you're not. You're not going anywhere. You're going to stay right here. >> I will touch you if I have >> Don't touch me. I promise. A lawsuit will be filed with you. >> You can file all the lawsuits you want. Okay. >> Depends on me without me committing a crime, sir. Oh, I've got all I've got everything I need to put my hands on you. >> Put my hands on me. Put your hands on me then. >> Okay. I'm not going to do it yet because you got a big >> Put your hands on me. >> I'm not going to do it yet. Put your hands on me. >> As long as you're good standing here, we're good. >> So, you just need to calm down. All right. >> A big kid, too. >> You You can do so. I hope you do. >> All right. You asked for a sergeant. Come talk to our sergeant. >> Let's go talk over here. >> All right. Before Just stay with him for a sec, buddy. >> Over here. Come over this way. Let fire get in. >> He's not cooperative at all. Won't tell me anything. Won't talk to anybody. What >> step over there? >> I'll have fire refuge on you. >> Step over there. The sergeant is definitely a northeast guy. I can tell. >> She's got a nut on the left side of her head. >> Well, what's going Obviously, she's making an allegation. >> Yeah. >> And uh >> should have pucks. >> She's got a good knot on the side of her head. >> Okay. She said he banged her head into the into into the wall inside the house. She said there's a hole in the wall where he banged her head >> and there is a hole >> and he said she said there is a hole in the wall. >> Okay. So, what's the problem? >> Just a side note. Interesting here. This Florida Police Department has Massachusetts badges and that guy talks like he's from the Northeast. Just kind of weird. >> Why is he in handcuffs? >> Because, you know, when he's got the baby and he's just like, "You better get it." I was like, "Bro, I said this is he said get a sergeant." I'm like, I'll get a sergeant. I said, but whatever is going to happen is what's going to happen. I said, I'll play this however you want to play this, but you know the end result is you're going to go to jail. That's that. But you know, >> All right. What is What do you need, sir? >> Excuse me, sir. I can't hear you. Can you come over here for sure? >> What's your name, son? >> My name is Fani, but put the baby down. >> No, I can't I can't put the baby down, sir. >> Uh, put your hands behind your back. For what, sir? Because you're going to go to jail. For what, sir? >> Because you're going to go to jail. So, okay. >> I'm going to taser you. I'm going to taser you. So, you better put the baby down. >> Put the baby down. Put the baby down. You're going to get tased. >> You're going to get tased. >> Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands. >> Okay. Taser. Taser. Taser. Taser. Taser. Taser. >> Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind. >> All right. They got the baby away. on the ground. >> Tasers, they're great sometimes. 50% fill rate. Don't forget that. >> Down. >> That one got him. >> Nice shot. >> Put your hands behind your back. YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT AGAIN. PUT YOUR HAND BEHIND YOUR BACK. YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT AGAIN. >> There we have it. That's why they're great. When they do work, people taste that. They ride the lightning. They kind of want to comply after that. >> Put your other hand behind your back. You're going to get it again. Thank you. >> You got it. >> I broke my glasses. >> Yeah, my phone's somewhere, too. >> Sergeant broke his glasses. >> I did nothing wrong. >> I did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong. >> It's good. >> Yeah, I can't see. My glasses advisor deployed. Echo with del. >> Yes. >> Got a backup pair of glasses. >> No one's calling anybody. Stand up. >> You're not making the rules here. We are. Hey, Diego. You want to take him? >> Hey. >> Hey, bro. Let go of me, bro. >> Okay. >> I swear to God, get off. >> Oh, shitty. Hold on. He's got >> He's got Bro, he's got frost. >> Stop. >> You need to chill. >> Relax. What am I getting for nothing? >> Hold on. >> I did nothing wrong. >> Come on. Let's go. [ __ ] money. >> Hey, can't wait. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. >> You're going to put your chest against 911. Okay, >> spread your feet. >> Spread your feet. >> Oh, what you mean? My feet bridge. >> Wait, can I get all my properties to my grandma? >> We'll get your property. We'll get your property. >> What do you mean? What the [ __ ] mean? No. >> Yell out. We'll get your property. >> I got your property. >> All right. Where my phones? Where my phones? Where's my phones? >> Where's my phones? >> Listen, where's my phones? >> Can already tell this kid's life is going to be long and it's going to be hard. Where's my phone? >> Is this your car? >> We got it over here. >> Told him he was going to get tensed. >> This is all Yeah, you could take This is all his property. >> This is his wallet. >> Good. >> Yeah. >> No, they're up. I had to bend it back. I lost this piece. >> Still going to need to take a st >> obviously.
