I just want to make sure we didn't pick Paul the wrong person and it wasn't you. It's not him. It's him. He came in and changed his clothes. You're going to jail, big boy. >> No. >> But what can I come get him to >> Did you mirandize him? >> I did. >> He did. He just read everything. >> Okay. Dude, you're on video. >> Can we get shoes? >> Can you ma'am, can you Yeah, get him some shoes. >> I'll go get >> Yeah, you're on you're on video. >> Brother, you're on video. >> Christian, get him some >> That kind of stuff how you dude Right here. Is that you into that or something? >> No, sir. >> Okay, so he's going to be >> Can you call me >> Obviously you are. >> mindset because I've never seen someone do that before, man. >> There was no mindset against it. It was just I was chilling outside. >> You were doing your stuff >> toward anybody else. >> Did you think about any kids out here that could have seen it? I mean I mean you're out you're out in public. >> At this hour I wasn't thinking about any kids being walking around or anything else. >> for longer than we have. >> Okay. >> That's not something I would do. >> 6:15 >> Someone would usually I mean you scared of doing it cuz your wife will find out or what? >> No. >> Well, because normal people do that inside the house. I mean you're married too, bro. I mean you shouldn't be looking up anyway. >> You got to hand it to the guy. He's honest. He's not denying it. I don't know what he's thinking doing this. Like hey, we're moving out. Well, there's one thing I've not done in the driveway yet. I may not have a brain, gentlemen, but I have an idea. Let me take care of this. Like what are you doing? >> So he was outside watching >> Cuz you can see your head down looking at your phone while you did it. >> I'm saying anything about walking >> I was just saying well what what were you doing what made you do that out here because >> Mhm. >> Yeah, absolutely you can. >> I mean he >> I just want to make sure you get >> He's at the same company for 19 years. Cuz I mean right now it's already 6:00, almost 6:30. Yeah, he'll see first appearance in the morning. He'll get bond conditions, I'm sure, cuz it's Sunday, so. >> Yeah. >> And tomorrow is >> On a Sunday, man. Come on. >> Not for Not for a first appearance. >> Yeah, he has no kind of record to none. >> Well, >> Not even a speeding ticket, nothing. >> He will now. It's a felony. >> Oh my god. >> So, >> Warning. >> There goes his firearms, his right to vote. Possibly fired from his job, who knows. 19 years you got in there, dude. >> Yeah. >> You don't think about your retirement? >> Can anybody place that accent for me? >> Possibly fired from his job, who knows. >> I thought he was Southern, but kind of sounds Australian sometimes. It's a weird one. >> Nasty. Nasty, nasty, nasty. Well, he got a dose of reality. >> I'm sorry. >> Is he English? >> No, no, don't be sorry. He's one that's going to be sorry. >> What happened? Did he try to fight you? >> Uh he resisted and then we dumped his ass in the front yard. >> You guys were Did you all show him? Did he like does he know what he did? She I don't think she's >> She's cute. >> She's probably in shock right now. She's I think she's in shock. Yeah. Yeah, in so many words he did. He said that uh I said why don't you go do that inside? I said you shouldn't be looking at her dude, you're married. You know what I mean? And then he goes uh I don't know, I didn't think anybody was out there. I wasn't think Thank you. Now I need it. Um he like he didn't think anybody was outside. We're like dude, what if children were looking out the window? But he's done it in daytime. >> Yeah. >> Oh yeah, he's done it in daytime. >> Yeah. >> Wow. >> He said he's upstairs with the kid. >> The kid was inside the whole time. >> It's kind of a fun little interaction we're getting a window in here. I'm not sure he needs to leave his body cam on at this point. Pretty much the investigation's over, but it's still on, so fun for us. >> Well, we we just said come outside and he said no and then grabbed the door frame and then it was on from there. >> One last time, I have to tell you I was sitting in my room. >> So in his your own words of why you called us tonight. Mention the video, mention exactly what he was doing in detail. >> I guess he is still talking to the victim, so it should be on. >> Dude, when I saw the kid wearing the same clothing, I thought we [ __ ] up the wrong person. Excuse my French, sorry. I genuinely thought I was like oh crap. >> He's acting like it's not on, tell you that. >> to that 20-something-year-old kid. But that's that's not him. >> This can't be the first time. >> It's definitely not. >> It's not. We were out here what? 2 months agoish? >> First time he's been caught. We'll get back to his charges in just a moment, but first this man wouldn't leave this woman alone at the beach. >> What are you going to do? >> I I talk. Don't don't Come on over here. I'm going to shoot at you with a gun. >> You're going to what? >> I'm going to shoot you with a cannon and a gun, you understand? >> Cannon? >> Yeah, that's not not my friend. >> I believe he said I'm going to shoot you with a cannon gun, I think. >> You must leave. You got the wrong address. >> Quiet. >> Let me see your ID. >> Let me get a unit out here first for backup. >> 10-37 in tall. >> Just be Why are you yelling, man? >> I may off. Don't get close. You got the wrong degree. You do this every fair day. >> You know that could be a 51 to 14 jury. >> So, you're harassing me again. >> Nope. You're telling me you're going to shoot me. >> No, no. My friend, I work here. I'm the permanent here. >> No, you're not permanent. >> No, no, no. No, no, this is not making you up whatever the you want like all right. >> Um what is that accent? Is that like a Rastafari Borat? Like it's difficult to place. Did this guy make this accent up or is that a real accent? I don't know. Comment below. Let me know. >> You need to be quiet, man. >> No, my friend. >> You're causing a public disturbance. >> I'm trying to fight you, buddy. Look, to stand back, I'm going to shoot at you like a heart and soul, yeah. Look, well, pay attention to that. >> You can't say those things, man. >> I'm trying to >> You can't say those things, man. >> You must [ __ ] call. >> You're causing a disturbance. >> Look, the place is closed. You [ __ ] yacht. Look, you're hanging with this girl from Kansas Town. You understand? You got the wrong degree. So, how do you work with the wrong degree? >> You need to be quiet. >> So, this guy clearly something isn't right. I mean, he's harassing a lady there. He's threatening the officer. He's wearing like kind of winter clothes at the beach. Everybody else is in shorts. He's kind of talking nonsense. Maybe at this point, if you have it available, call a clinician. The officer definitely has the authority to stop him, ID him, and see what's going on. >> What are you motioning, man? What are you motioning? >> What are you motioning at? >> What are you motioning? >> You need to go back in the car. >> tell me what to do. >> follow me. >> You don't tell me what All right? >> All right, I'm going this way. So far >> anywhere. >> All right, let's see how you want to follow me. You got like You got straight telling >> Probably going to. >> You need to get over here. You need to get over here. You need to sit on the curb right now. 14th Street, do you have a unit coming my way for a white male who's acting erratic? Man, you don't know him. He's not fighting or anything. He's just acting funny. It's helmet helmet guy. Come here, man. >> No, dude. He ain't took off. >> Sit on the curb. >> So, you already done already like a microphone said, mother >> Sit on the bench. Get over here. I'm giving you a lawful order to get over here. No, stay put. Stay put. Stay put. Get over here. >> Believe me, this is the last thing this cop wants to be doing, but if he doesn't stop this guy, ID him, stop the behavior, more than likely they will be getting called here all day long. >> I'm going to wait to put my hands on him, so I have a backup. Come here. >> Talking to his body camera. >> No. Get over here. Get over here. Dude, just come here. I'm not going to chase you. You need to get over here. I'm giving you >> This cop's probably getting so sweaty right now. Woah! There we go. Aggravated assault, assault and battery, deadly weapon. >> 14th here, I got 31 shots. >> Come here. >> They're roundabout. >> Top of the bridge. He just threw a trash can at me. >> Now we get this guy. You got some pepper spray? >> Woop, here you go. Little pepper. Pepper's ready to deploy. That should slow him down. Pepper being deployed. There's backup. >> Get your hands out of your pockets. Keep your hand out of your pocket. Get down on your knees now. >> Get down. >> He gave up. He knows the gig's up. >> All right. >> Good job. All right, good. Stop interlacing your hands. >> All right. >> You good? >> Yeah, I'm good. I blocked it. >> Good. You feel that pepper? >> I saw that right as I was pulling up. >> When I was in California, the Santa Monica Police Department were dealing with stuff like this every time we went to the pier. It's just all day, every day. No, thanks. >> I was going to wait for another unit, but I wanted hands-on. But he forced it. >> Stop. >> It's got to be so sweaty in that stuff. >> My friend, she's got the idea right now. >> You got it? >> Yeah, I am. >> Right. Ah. >> Oh, okay. Okay. >> All right, so fake me out, right? >> Say goes zip zip zip. >> Yeah, I got my >> Why is he wearing a helmet? >> Same. Show us your shot, mate. Yeah. >> Oh, boy. That accent kill me. >> All right. >> I think there is nothing less fun than going through a street person or homeless person's belonging. It's just not that fun. >> Miguel, just sit there. We're trying to get that off of you. >> Brother, put on a t-shirt. Damn, quilted jacket he's wearing here. Nothing to see here. Nothing totally interesting to see here. This guy. >> Uh he threw a trash lid at me. A trash lid. He threw it at me. I blocked it. Yeah, I blocked it. >> I blocked it. No big deal. >> Yeah. There's all kinds of No, no. It's stop. >> Oh my gosh. >> I unzipped it and >> You're going to have to pick up all this guy's property. >> Oh. >> I'm just making sure there's no immediate weapons. Pepper spray to the face. >> The fire department's like, "Well, thank you for inviting me. This looks wonderful." >> What's going on, my man? >> So, I did these cops. He's got eyes at me. You look at the three eyes on car. They come by every day like dogs. >> Okay. What What can I do for you? There's not much I can do for your eyes. I can wipe them out and that's about it. >> No, I I have I have eye drops for eyes. >> Okay. >> Yeah, I got I >> Do you want me to wipe them out or anything like that? >> He's got eye drops for when he gets pepper sprayed, sounds like. >> I hear when he threw that thing at you. >> So, I called emergency, gave my contact information. Do you want anything else? I said I'll do it. >> No, I I actually have a statement. I have it all on camera, but yeah, I'll get a I'll get somebody's statement. >> Yeah, this guy's trouble. Got to be He took that thing and just hurled it. >> Yeah, I blocked it. >> Did you block it? >> I It happened pretty fast. >> I blocked it. >> Where did it go? >> That's funny. >> Yeah, I'm good. >> Sorry. >> Oh man, I >> I've only lived here 5 months. I've seen a lot of crazy stuff. >> What was he doing down there? >> He was acting crazy. >> He was but then he said, "I'm going to shoot you." >> Did he say it's a crime? >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> So then I said, "You're detained." And he But I wanted to wait for another unit for >> Yeah, I would too. >> I I just want to get this lid back, so Where did it go? Did you see it? >> The lid was on this one right here. >> Yeah. >> This is >> Oh, that lid goes there, okay. >> Yeah, he literally did this at me. >> I I saw it. I said, "Holy This guy's not >> Was he sitting right there?" >> Sitting right there. >> He saw the whole thing. Over there, he said, "I'm going to kill you. I'm going to shoot you." >> That's what made me want to detain him cuz he started with all that nonsense. >> Okay. >> And then I followed him all the way here cuz I was trying to get him waiting for backup approach him by myself. And then he saw the whole thing. >> Okay. >> Uh the deputy's going to come over and get a statement from you. >> Sure. >> Appreciate it, sir. >> Sure. I I I I swear, people in this town are so behind what you guys do. >> Yeah. >> You have to put up with. >> Yeah, literally >> Oh, that's nice. Nice to hear. >> But what he did constitute a crime today. So you know, this is one of those times you got to go >> Yeah, the guy needs some mental health help. >> So putting right. It's a national issue. >> I had to get this spray right to where it wasn't the wind. I was seeing where the wind was blowing. >> Did you Did you spray with mace or >> Yeah, pepper spray. >> So I've heard mace a couple times here. It's pepper spray, OC they call it. Mace was like a chemical spray that actually could cause more damage or possibly permanent damage to your eyes. Pepper spray is naturally occurring from actual peppers. That's what we use. We don't use mace. Shawn was charged with indecent exposure and resisting without violence and received 1 year probation. Miguel was charged with battery on an LEO and obstructing without violence. Despite being 10 months ago, his court hearing still hasn't occurred yet and has been delayed until the end of April. He was made to get a mental health check, but the results of that aren't public.
