2020 at approximately 10:20 p.m. two
officers spotted a suspicious man
standing outside a 7-Eleven asking
customers for money the man was Lance
Newman and this wasn't his first runin
with the law Newman had been banned from
the store for shoplifting pan handling
and harassing customers when the
officers started approaching him Newman
quickly started walking toward the
Provident Bank attempting to enter the
vestibule but the doors were locked it's
worth noting that Newman had previously
been banned from the same bank for
sleeping inside and had received a town
ordinance for defiant trespass
unable to get inside the bank Newman
made his way to 72 Bloomfield Avenue
once again asking patrons for money the
officers followed and this time Newman
slipped into the 7-Eleven the officers
had seen enough it was time to intervene
and they decided to confront Newman
directly about his questionable late
night
activities Newman left with just a
verbal warning but he didn't stop
instead he walked to Wendy's and began
panhandling by going car toar in the the
drivethru I already let me talk to you
