Hi,
[ __ ] I was still feeling soing
bored and y'all don't know what to do
with yourselves. It's like really bad
crap.
They weren't robbing banks, just
stealing a few little things. Come here
first. Stop.
Quit pulling away from me. Stop.
But the way they lied, panicked, and
crumbled, Academy Awardw worthy in the
criminal fails category. Come here. Come
here. Can you hear me? Can I hear you?
Can you hear me? Can I get your name and
badge number, please? Corporal prompt.
Corporate prompt. Now, let's see what
happens when a petty thief thinks she
can outsmart both Target and the cops on
the same day. 393 from 341. Can you give
me your name, please, sir? On June 14th,
2024, police rolled up to Target after a
woman was suspected of quietly stocking
up and trying to sneak out without
paying. store employees had been keeping
an eye on her from the start. So, did
she manage to slip away? Here's what
went down when the cops showed up.
I've been watching my bag. I've been
watching you since you were here. You
messed it. I'm sorry about that. Let me
move this. I've been watching since
you've been here. I want you to put
everything in all your bags. Okay. So,
everything in these bags? Yes. Right.
Yes. That you did not pay for it. So, I
need I paid for the everything. You did
not pay for everything. We watched your
whole transaction. I'm trying to make
this easy for you. You just need to come
back to the office. I'm going to write
your name on a piece of paper. That's
it. We already have your friends call.
That come my friends in the car. I
didn't come with no friend. You came
with two other ladies. I watched you the
whole time. I know. Okay. That don't
mean I came with them just cuz we all
walked in together. So, what do you want
to do? Cuz I I have no You have to come
back to the office. I need to document
all your information. Is that your
friend? Oh, no. The cop. That was
somebody. All right. Well, put it away.
I cancel my phone call. Okay. Well, do
you want you just want to arrest her or
do you want to go arrest me for what?
For retail staff. I'm not stealing
anything. I bought things. Okay.
Perfect. Okay. Perfect. So, where's your
receipt at? My receipt's right here in
my wallet. What are you talking about?
[Music]
393 here. Got a plate for you.
[Music]
74 tank 25.
All right. Right here.
Sweet.
Target. That's about the right time. So
So, the country lemonade. Okay, cool.
Right. Then what is what is that? I
don't know what that is. Is like a pair
of panties out of like all that. She has
a huge What's all this? You didn't pay
for any of this. The Pokémon. That's all
I hear. Stars above. Oh, I was supposed
to put that back. I didn't realize that.
Oh, you didn't realize. She didn't
panic. Not one bit. Chin held high,
giving the officers a little smirk like
the whole thing was just a minor mixup.
That cold confidence wasn't by accident.
It was the kind you see in someone who's
had more than a few run-ins with the
law. Don't have anything that we know.
Okay. All right. Well, y'all can just
take this whole cart then cuz I don't
take things that I Okay. I'm going to
sort yours and I'm taking back with
mine. I I'm just saying this this right
here in the country. That's And then the
rest.
So, you said to go there to figure it
out. I don't see the point. Hold on. Let
me get your ID first. I want to know who
you are. I don't have my ID on. You
don't have your ID on you? No. Do you
have a credit card with your name on it?
Have a debit card with your name on it?
No, I don't. So, how'd you pay for this
stuff? You pay cash? Yeah, cash. Pay
cash. It says right there on the thing.
It does. Oh, man. You just pay cash,
right?
Snap.
We can take a name. And I paid with
cash. All right, cool. Well, we can take
a name from you. Hold on. Cuz you're not
free to leave until I ID you. So, just
so you know. Okay. Al, I'll put your
receipt back. What's your birthday? I
don't know what you think.
92. Yeah.
1992.
So, I know we're what you're used to.
But right now, you're being attained to
retail theft. And if you cooperate with
them, we'll give you a ticket. If you
don't cooperate, well, then let's go
back up the office first. Let's go back
up the office way upstairs. I don't know
where to be. That's That's too bad, man.
You're already here.
If you don't want to, then I'll just put
your handcuffs. I'll take you to my
station making yourself. I'm not
making the stuff that I paid for right
here in my
rather. Let the guest go.
All right. Well, she doesn't want to go
upstairs and play ball. So, he got my
name and everything. Y'all can y'all go
work on your computer. Look what this
Yeah, this is not You think this is a
[ __ ] game?
It's honestly bizarre. Caught red-handed
and acting like she was the one being
inconvenienced. For folks like her,
stealing might as well be part of the
routine. And getting caught, that's what
feels unfair. At this point, she's about
to be arrested and she still doesn't
look the least bit
embarrassed. Fair. What's your real
name? That's my real name. Okay. How do
you spell the last name?
And your first name? Elise.
And what's your birth date?
1992. 92. I didn't get anything back on
that. Do you have an ID or do you No, I
don't. Do you have one out of a
different state? Yes, I do. What state?
From New Hampshire. New Hampshire.
393 341. Can you give me a call? How you
doing?
Hey, get back my car. Give me a call.
The
second she station. Do you want to go
upstairs with them and get a ticket or
do you want to come with me?
right now. Do you want to go upstairs
and get a ticket? Do you want to go
upstairs and get a ticket? No. Okay,
that's fine. Then here, turn around. You
don't have to. I'm going to go upstairs.
You're under arrest, too. We're under
arrest. It's
too right upstairs. You think this is a
game? This is what happens when you play
games. I was going to walk. No, no, no,
no, you weren't. Yes, I was. No, you
weren't. I was definitely going to turn
around. You did. You didn't the first
three times I asked. Let me see.
I was trying
to help.
I'm going to go sort out all the
deadline. Thank you. Okay.
What's What's not your stuff? It's a
lot, man. I got to go. It's not a lot.
It's right there. This bag is ours. I
think this is the only bag she came in.
So, I bag That's the only bag she came
in with. Is there stuff in here that's
yours, though? There shoes in there.
That's my shoes that I've been adding.
Yeah, those look. Yeah, those are mine.
Oh, those shoes. These shoes right here.
These shoes. Let me see. Kick them off.
Kick them off for a second. What do you
mean? Kick them off. Take them off. What
do you mean? We're going to Someone just
took I'm sorry.
You're right. Dirty.
No, you're fine. Just stop. Stop. What
do you mean? I'm trying to put my shoe
back on. Stop. Stop. You've got to be
kidding. She's out here dropping cash on
fake nails, lashes, and wigs, but then
turns around and steals groceries. The
nerve it takes to pull that off is
shocking enough, but the attitude acting
like a victim that just leaves you
speechless.
Get in the car,
probably. We can find out. Just ID
everybody in the car so we know where
they are. 93. Can you identify the other
occupants of that car? What plate comes
back to that car that ran? Like I was
going to turn around and go back to the
You
I was texting my
fing I think that phone is That phone is
not y'all. That phone case is not yours.
Your phone. What are you talking about?
No, that Do you want your other shoes
back? I have my shoes back or what? What
do you mean my other shoes back? Those
shoes I literally want you take them
off. Try them on. Look in the mirror.
These are your shoes. I did not look in
the mirror. Why are you're already here,
man? Like it's too late. Just just give
me my shoe. I've had these shoes. What
are y'all talking about? Walk around
with two pairs of shoes. No, I didn't
have these in my purse. Is your name
Boyd?
That sounds familiar, right? That sounds
kind of like your name, huh? Boyd. Yeah,
Boyd. The [ __ ] is Boyd? Miss Boyd? No.
The [ __ ] Boy, that's your name. No, the
[ __ ] that's not. Oh, who's car then?
Triple
check. Um, we we triple check. Okay, you
can put my wallet back in my purse.
Okay. Okay. Hey, my baby. I'm not going
to take your money, bro. I'm just
saying. You sure are sassy for a thief.
I'm always sassy. So, what's going to
happen? You're going to be trespassing
this store for a year. You cannot come
back. You're going to come back. You got
to call them again. Okay. Cannot step
foot in here. You can't piss in here.
Anything a lot of stuff.
Yeah. For sure.
She uh one of the shorts and one of the
panties. So this is ours, right? Shorts
is hers. So these two and one of the
panties. What color? Ask her what color.
Hey, do you know what color it was? Like
the colorful one or the brown one? Her
receipt only showed two bottles of
lemonade, but her cart was loaded with
unscanned items. Target staff confirmed
she used selfch checkckout, but clearly
skipped most of her stuff. She pushed
back, saying she did scan everything,
even though the receipt said otherwise.
Yes, I did. I put the scanner out there
and I scanned it. It was on the receipt
you gave me. Oh, it was on the receipt.
Nowhere to
You're famous. I mean, not Instagram
famous, but I'm definitely famous.
You're definitely Instagram famous. I
don't
know. David,
actually, I can get all our information
from you later, right? Yeah. Yeah.
weekend. Here's here's those shoes. Put
me in a car. Yeah, you're coming to jail
for what? For retail theft. No, they
can't. No, they can't. They need They
need my things. No, they don't. Yes,
they do. No, they don't.
How come they don't? Because I don't
know who they are. I know who they are.
They're my I just want it with them.
Female come over here. You don't need a
female. I just No, I'm like I'm just
asking you. Can you give that to them?
That's it. That's all.
can wait either from the station or
right here. I don't know. Could be safe.
Am I texting this letter though? I ain't
nothing in my head. Okay. Put my hat
back on. Turn around. But wait. Turn
around. Why? Cuz I have on a whole
dress. All right. There's nothing. Can I
put my hat back on? No, it's for me.
It'll go in your bag. It'll go in your
bag. Don't worry. Can a lady come and
grab my bag? I'm just let you know. Why
not? No, because Okay, I'll take down.
But get in. I just No, cuz I want her to
I just want her to grab my It's all
coming with me. Let's go. Let's go.
I didn't do all that. I'm just This
ain't no [ __ ] This
ain't no Turn around. I tried to turn
around and y'all just instantly cuffed
me. I'm just
trying to get my We're going to pull you
in. We're going to pull you in the car
if you don't pull turn around. Y'all
don't have to pull me in the car. My
things return with her. Turn. Let's go.
It's going to happen. Let's go. Let's
go. Oh my god. I'll get my things with
her. No. Here. Seat belt safety first.
Why my things can't be with her? Because
they're coming with you, so nobody takes
them. No, but I'm trying to get in
contact with her so she knows. Too late.
It's not too late. I was trying to do
That's what I was already doing. Too
late again. That's what I was already
doing when you tried to headcuff me and
I was trying to turn around. In the end,
the woman was taken to jail and charged
with petty theft and obstructing
identification. The total value of the
stolen items was around $700. Turns out
she also had an outstanding warrant for
identity fraud. If convicted, she could
be banned from the store, hit with a
fine, or worst case, spend a few days in
jail. But judging by her attitude, it's
just another day in her life. No guilt,
no shame, no
regrets. Don't take your eyes off the
screen just yet. Up next, we've got the
dumbest criminal couple you've ever
seen. On April 13th, 2024 in Red Roof in
Ohio, police were called out after hotel
staff reported a group of people
refusing to check out of their room.
What happened next? Buckle up. Boss went
up there. My manager went up there
personally. And are you going to come up
with us so you can just advise her that
she has to go? Yes. Okay.
Sweetie, you got to leave.
No, she didn't pay. You have to leave
right now.
I I've got police here, sweetie. You
guys got to go.
You got to go. Screaming at staff.
Nobody's Nobody's come down the face,
sweetie. No. Yeah,
you guys don't need a QR code. So, who
who are you? Are you Britney? No. What
are you doing in this room? She That's
my friend. Brain is your friend. She was
going down the bed. Where is she? She's
not downstairs.
Get your ID. You guys got your ID on
you? No. What's your first and last
name?
What's your name? My man. Stop. Hello.
Listen. Stop. Okay. Why are you guys
What's your name? Because
she in a room that you shouldn't be in.
You guys are in a room belong to you
guys. Okay. So, what's your name? What's
your personal last name? Who? What is
your name? Deiance. Deiane. What's your
last name?
You have no driver's license or anything
on you. What's your date of birth?
How old are you?
99. How old are you? Why are you all
talking? Cuz you're both in the room you
don't belong into. I I understand that,
but I don't have no dealings or nothing
about that. Okay. You were in the room,
right? Got here. Okay, Deonte. How do
you spell
that? Okay, I'm not going to play games.
I'll just arrest you for obstructing and
go from there. You're failing to
identify yourself. Officers showed up
calm and professional, playing the role
of mediator. But make no mistake, they
were on high alert. Right from the jump,
this couple's dodgy behavior and shady
answers weren't exactly accidental.
You're about to go in handcuffs. So
288. What's your name? Here.
Hello. Listen. Hi. I'm sorry. We're
talking. Okay. Why are you guys
ignoring? Because she Why would she
leave out like that? I don't know. We
don't know who you guys are. You guys
are in a room that does not belong to
you guys. Okay. I'm asking for your
information. What's your personal
No. Yes. Cuz we don't trust you guys.
Like these kind of movement is is the
reason why we're acting like that. All
right, we'll try one more time. This
will be the last time and then you're
going to jail. What's your social
here? Stand over here. I don't like you
standing over here. I'm sorry. You're
making me so nervous. You're making me
so nervous.
Yeah, you guys walk away from us cuz we
told you guys to stop and then No, I
didn't hear you. I didn't. You got
warns, man. For what? What you got warns
for? Nothing. It's pity. I just don't
like traffic warrants. Yeah. Out of out
of where?
Okay. They probably don't want you,
right? They always want you. Okay. Do
you want to turn around for me then? I
appreciate it.
Uh, like D, something like that. Or
what's it for? Okay. Do you have
What is it for? Um, do you have anything
on your hair? Stand over here. No, I
just didn't I didn't have I didn't show.
Okay. Stand up here.
D, please.
Don't.
Turns out both of them had outstanding
warrants. Yet, they were still holed up
in a motel room like nothing was wrong
until staff finally had to call in the
cops. Not just lawb breakakers, but not
the brightest ones either.
What's your actual name? Mary. Mary. You
think that was smart?
Like, were we damn mean to you guys? No.
We asked for IDs. We had warrants. We
handle it. We deal with our warrants and
we go on our way. If they're not serious
warrants, you'd probably be out Monday.
But now you're going to get extra
charges for being dumb.
You
already don't do anything. I wouldn't
want to go back to jail either. But can
we can we start all over, please? It's
too late for that. There's no starting
over. Hey, you see how you see how he's
acting? You see how he's acting, right?
Like an adult. You say, "Hey, man. I got
warrants. I'm going to show
responsibility. I'm going to take care
of myself." I don't know. You going to
act a fool? Just leave when they ask you
to leave. No, listen. She was upstairs.
Don't talk anymore. This wasn't in my
room. No, don't talk anymore.
Um, you want to take him? Yep. She's
one.
He's been good. Okay. Try to do
something else.
Okay. Well, you're not having the
seizure right now. I just got
off this for what? I was just in summer
jail for warrants. What? What were the
warrants for? Oh, old war on warrants
for um not going to
here. Is there any way I can go to jail?
Please. Please. No. You just try taking
up on us. Please. Please. It's all her
fault.
No, it's your fault for not doing that.
I know. I know. Do you have anything on
you? No. Face the car.
Yeah.
When officers searched the woman, they
found out why these two were acting so
foolishly. Let's just say it all started
to make sense real fast. Listen, the
only person that you should be mad is is
yourself,
right? It's really dumb for you to do
all
that. I'm just going to adjust these
cuffs.
Sorry. No, we got to verify your
property up there. Is there anything
illegal or anything sharp that's going
to poke us in that property? That's why
you got a push rod that fell out when
you were fighting with
us. What do you have in this penis
pocket here? No, it's just a zipper.
You search it pretty good just for
weapons. I didn't get in there or
anything like that.
What is that? Out of her pocket. What is
it? I'm asking. I don't know. It was in
your pocket. Oh, there's more. There's
more. It's like really bad crack. You
smoke? You got ripped off by your This
is some shitty crap.
Do you have anything else on you?
Nothing. I don't remember. Hm. No. Just
that. Yeah. What is it? What do you
mean? What is it? What is it? Well, it's
just all that crap. Okay. So, all I was
asking you
here find a better dealer. You know
you've hit rock bottom when even the
cops are roasting the quality of your
stash. It wasn't just illegal. It was
garbage.
Are we clear? Well, we interrupted your
night. So, it later. You're good,
Robbie? Yeah. Go ahead. Have a seat.
I just So in your property we have to go
through cuz in the hallway is there
anything sharp or anything any needles
or anything that might we might get
endangered by touching
my nobody wants to go to jail but you
don't do that when
you don't know no you didn't you
cool mama
aware that she still had or else she
would have smoked it, she said. So,
don't know when she last did smoke the
she
had on my way.
Should I ask you first? Yeah. No, that's
my negotiation skills. I went for the I
went for it.
Not a bad call. Thank you.
[Music]
Oh, you got to stand up. Kle,
stand up. Hold on.
They're going to get this other cough
cuff off and set you on the I got I got
those cuffs off you. Okay. So, work with
us. Okay.
Yeah. Everything will just be written
off
together. We'll just keep it all
together.
I have it on my She tried faking a
seizure to avoid going to jail. Yeah,
that didn't work. just made the whole
scene even more ridiculous. And when
officers went back to search the room,
oh, they found evidence. All right. Plus
a few other
surprises. Just a bunch of blank checks
like McMore.
It's
5919. They're scamming her stuff or
what? She said checking Buria, right?
Remember she told you her she's staying
here because her friends lives in Berea
but is at the hospital dying of MS.
Bryant naming someone's somebody's birth
certificate. You got they were cooking
here. got a a big truck and some other
hydroone and vehicle titles. There's
that.
Um I'm going take all
this a vehicle title, social security
paperwork. Yeah, that someone would not
leave. Take all this stuff.
Oh, Kelly's here. A lot of really nice
like comic books. Yeah. Yeah, there's
comic books and there's silverware.
And that probably use those. A Barry
Sanders football card. Um car shop or
something like that.
People been stealing those lately.
Her phone, I guess.
Yeah, that definitely seems like people
that would collect uh quarters. Cops
uncovered blank checks, fake IDs, drug
making equipment, you name it. This
wasn't just a couple of junkies. This
was a small time scam operation running
like a low-budget crime ring. A lot more
serious than anyone expected. In the
end, Mary was charged with possession of
dangerous drugs, obstructing police,
resisting arrest, and criminal trespass.
If convicted, she's looking at multiple
years behind bars. Dante got hit with
trespassing and an active felony charge.
If that warrant ties back to anything
serious, he could be facing some serious
prison time, too. Up next is a woman who
showed up to work with one goal only: to
embezzle. On March 9th, 2024 in New
Mexico, police were called to a gas
station after an employee was caught
stealing. But you're not going to
believe how she reacted when they caught
her red-handed.
It's gone. I'm officer with the Rosa
Police Department. I need to file an
employee theft on that.
That's only part, but that's what the
area manager wants.
You have video footage? I do. I have to
print it on a couple different ones. I
have the last one, which is um the Red
Bulls and the Marbor Ice. I do have that
part, right? And then this is the first
transaction where she only ranged up.
That's supposed to be six fireballs and
two marble menthols, right? And this is
what she rang
up. That one is printed. That one is
recorded. Mhm. Um to record the rest of
it, I had to go back in. Dude, I've been
here since 3:00 in the morning watching
this [ __ ] Mhm. Okay. Are these uh
All these transactions happened in one
day or three days. Three days span.
And was it all the exact same thing? No,
they're different things. Um, it's
people that she knows that she lets [ __ ]
slide. Oh, okay. So, this is just one
incident. Um, no, we rang them up all
together. Uh, several different
incidents. That's what I'm saying. We'd
had to go in. Hey, mama. Um, different
times and stuff. It's like
throughout the 20th I believe that she
started from that day to the 22nd. And
that's because if we actually went
through the whole two weeks, we're
probably looking at thousands um over
$3,000 short in
cigarettes. So, and um you just wanting
a report or wanting to press charges? I
need a we need to press charges and I
need a case number for it. Okay. So, um
you said it was three separate
incidents, right? Yeah, it's three
different days. Those are all different
transactions. That's just an idea in
three days on what she's like, but
they're all different incidents. They're
different customers. Surveillance
footage showed the employee skipping
scans on energy drinks and cigarettes,
letting her regulars walk out without
paying.
This wasn't a one-time slip up, either.
These shady little favors happened
between February 20th and 22nd, and the
regional manager estimated the total
loss over her two week shift could top
$3,000.
So, uh I will need uh exactly what uh
time and date. The exact time and date,
the receipt of what she did not scan.
Okay. for each one.
And exactly what it was for each day.
Okay. Okay. Why we wrote it down? Yeah,
that's what I was telling. That's why I
told you I highlight it. Okay. Yeah,
that'll And that's if you want to charge
it for all three days. If you only have
enough evidence for one day, I can take
that now. Okay. And we can go forward
with that. And then later when you have
um the other two days, uh separate it,
then we can add that on there. So I can
go start get started with this one.
Okay.
And this was on March 1st. Yes. When it
happened. Yes. Yep. Okay. Right. Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah. Cuz that's when I came in to do
the audit.
Yeah. Okay. A little bit after I open
that open the whole entire
investigation. Send it to me, dude.
Okay. What's your name, sir? That's my
name, badge number. That's going to be
the case number for this incident. Okay.
And uh once you have the other two uh
separated um give us a call back and uh
we'll take those as well. Okay. We got
about 200 something pages to go through.
So yeah, we're not going to go there.
When I told you we've been at it real
early. Yeah. Yeah. We've been here a
while and we just kind of
minimalized it.
No, we're tired. We've been here all
week. We're going home. whenever you
have time cuz uh courts are closed right
now. So, I'll have the report and
everything submitted today, but I won't
be able to get a warrant for arrest till
Monday when the courts open. Okay. Okay.
So, you guys have plenty of time. Even
if it passes at whenever you guys are
ready, have all the footage and
everything, just give us a call and uh
we'll work on those warrants as well.
Okay. Awesome. After a full
investigation, police got a warrant for
Heather Ortiz on charges of embezzlement
and fraud. 12 days later, they showed up
at her home. And she she acted
completely shocked, denying everything
like it came out of nowhere. Have a good
day.
Hey. Hello. Looking for Heather Ortiz.
Um, all right. For what? Is she here?
Hey,
step on. That's fine. We'll let you get
your shoes here in a little bit. Okay.
The reason we're here, you can close the
door. Pass it on. Yeah, absolutely.
Yeah.
What's your birthday?
I haven't done it. Heather.
So, another officer actually filed a
warrant out for your arrest. For what? I
believe it's embezzlement or fraud. One
of those things. What's that? For why? I
We don't know. We don't know anything
about the case or anything like that. We
just know that you have a warrant out
for your arrest.
Embezzlement or fraud. Either or. One of
those two. Once we get the warrant, we
can confirm what it is. Yeah.
Or if you
still haven't done
anything. Can I go pee inside yet? Give
us a second. Okay. I just woke up. I
mean, y'all woke me up just now. Okay.
It doesn't mean a fraud. I haven't done
anything. He trusted you with their
belongings, whatever it was. And then
you took advantage of that. Oh, we talk.
I know what you're talking. Is it from
from what's his name? We don't know
anything about the case. So, you have an
active warrant. Another officer filed a
warrant. Um, if you want, you could go
pick up a copy of the report once you
get out of jail. And then Am I going to
be in for the weekend? Yes, ma'am. So I
don't get out till Monday? Yes. Can I
pee, please? I just woke up. I haven't
even gone to the bathroom. Y'all can
come inside with me. I don't care. But I
just, you know, when you wake up, you f
When you first wake up, we'd rather not
let you go back in. We'll let you get
We'll let you grab We'll let her grab
your shoes and then you can use the
restroom at the PD. But I haven't peed.
I just want y'all to go inside with me.
Y'all can Brian. Oh, yeah. I know.
Remember he said about the ability to
call couples to do it. I would do the
same thing too. That's the only thing I
could think of. Shut up, bro. So, it's
about that whole thing with Brian. We
don't We don't We honestly don't know,
guys. Dude, check out I just went This
dude got arrested. Lucky that it's only
Saturday till Monday. Yeah. I went to I
went this dude took me to go get my our
laundry and he got arrested whenever we
were coming back. I took his car
straight to go park it somewhere. Gave
his keys to somebody else. Yeah. And
that's it. And the reason why I I sit
here I I took his friend. I said, "This
is where I'm parking it." And the reason
why I gave him the keys and I want to
part of it is there's this dude named
Beth, right? He he sits and he messes
with me and he messes with me and he and
I've done everything I could. I've tried
talking to you guys. No, y'all. Nobody
will help me. And I have everything
right here. Everything. This dude
threatens me every day. He doesn't stop.
He's been doing this every day for like
a year and a half. Every day. And I
don't talk to him. I don't see him. He
doesn't stop. He doesn't stop. And then
so so the guy I guess the man that lives
with um that that Dub Brian lives with,
he screenshotted, I guess he that Beento
screenshotted a message for me from from
that other dude. And that tells me that
he talks. They gave her a chance, a job.
And how did she repay that? By stealing.
And when panic set in, she ended up
admitting to everything except the one
charge that actually brought the cops to
her door. Honestly, she's a real piece
of work.
Okay, but that's [ __ ] That's what
that's all about. It's because I don't
want no part of them and I gave you
judges warrant though. So, we do have to
take you. Okay. Okay. She know. All
right. I'm not going to cut you here.
I'll cut you out there. Okay. That's
fine. All right. Have fun. That's
[ __ ] Have fun.
I even asked that day whenever they went
to whenever he went to jail cuz that
dude he would even come I'm going to see
one last time even though I want to see
you one last time and and all this other
bull crap and I asked that cop that day
what do I do and nobody will help me.
Yeah, nobody. Huh? Your boyfriend as far
two years ago, three years ago. As far
as you bet though,
you could you could always petition the
court for a temporary restraining order.
I even went I was show I went to the
sheriff's office. I showed them I showed
them. Sorry. Yeah. Can you take my belt
off? That's a like it's Can you take it
up there? It just unnaps. It doesn't It
doesn't like It just like goes It has a
little thing and it goes in the hole.
You want to leave it here? Yeah. It's a
It's a How do you take it off? How do
you take it off? it. You see it? Yeah.
Just go like Yeah. Like that. Oh, see?
What is it? Don't throw it in your
pocket. Just tell us what it is. Well, I
have my pocket.
Drugs. It's a bike.
I mean, there's nothing in it. But she
tried to distract and dodge questions,
but it didn't work. During a search,
police found a small empty bag that had
once held meth. Her excuse? I brought it
from my place last night. That didn't
help her case. It just made things
worse. No, he's going to put gloves on.
It's There's nothing in it. I mean,
have you used meth? No, actually it was
it was where we at last night. I promise
I found it. I didn't find it. is on the
floorboard of the car. There's nothing
in there. It's empty. Okay.
You going to charge me for that, too?
Huh? There's nothing. Wait, I'm going to
use the back of my handle card. Yeah, I
don't have nothing else. All
right. You need your bra? No, there's
not. You can put my sweater. There's
not. Okay. It's just that problem.
There's nothing inside of it. So, you
know, once you get to the jail,
I I promise you. Look, there's nothing
in my bra. Okay. That's what we want. No
problem.
All right. Um, you're a US citizen?
Yeah. Any dependent under your care that
would be affected by this?
Okay. You know what that means, right?
Yes.
My
Am I going to
get Thank you.
Okay.
So, take the cups off.
[Music]
All right. Um, so obviously we'll
inspect the bathroom before you go and
then don't flush.
Okay.
[Music]
Give me a second.
In the end, Heather was arrested and now
faces embezzlement charges. If
convicted, she could be looking at jail
time, fines, and other penalties like
paying restitution to her employer and
being ordered into a rehab or reform
program. The court may consider leniency
if she cooperates or has no prior
record, but she's not walking away from
this
scot-free. Now, here comes the most
unique thief of the day. Trust me, you
won't want to miss this
one. On July 2nd, 2024, police were
called to the scene after receiving
reports of a woman named Dena
shoplifting causing a public disturbance
and behaving erratically. Officers were
dispatched to make sure things didn't
spiral out of control and to handle the
situation by the book.
Hey, stop. Hey, I'm officers just want
to know. Do you remember talking to me
before? Yeah. Okay. You're detained
right now. Okay. Um, are those?
Those your
shoes? Can you hear me? Can I hear you?
Yeah. Can I get some catfish, please?
What happened to your feet? I don't
think so. This officer. Hey, sir. Did
you say these are y'all's shoes? Yeah,
you can check them off. Okay. Hey, I'm
not this touching me. Why is he touching
me? I don't need What did I just pass?
What threshold did I just cross over?
Listen, you have their shoes on. Were
these stolen earlier? No. The judge.
Hey, stop.
Hey, stop. Stop. Stop eating.
Stop. 13. What do I do? Pineapple wins.
Okay. Stop. Pineapple wins.
Do you want to press chargers for all
that goods? Okay. Hey, what did you
take?
Dina, are you Dina? Do you have drugs on
you?
Did you take something? No. Are you
sure? Nobody knew exactly what kind of
chaos the officers were walking into,
but Dena. She definitely kept everyone
on their toes. From the moment they
arrived, it was one bizarre twist after
another, each more puzzling than the
last. Okay. Cuz you seem intoxicated on
the substance to me. I know you
uh have done cocaine before. Is that
what you did
again? Okay. Uh I'm going to go out
here. I have another officer coming. Um,
can you I guess verify these shoes. Can
you find where that tag is? Yeah. I'll
go get you. Okay. Are you hurt? No.
Okay.
You're pushing hard with your thumb on
my hand. Sorry. Is that better? On my
hand. I'm sorry. On my arm. Yeah. You
were pushing hard with your thumb on my
arm. Well, that's because you didn't
That's cuz you didn't let me put
pressure. My arm hurt because you were
pushing hard on it with your thumb.
Okay. My arm hurt because you were
pushing hard with it on your thumb.
Okay. Well, I was just trying to control
your movements cuz you were uh eating a
bunch of cake and throwing it all over
the ground. You can sit right here. You
don't have to get all the way in, but
that way you're not leaning on a whole
car. Okay. Do you have any weapons on
you? No. Can I feel on the back side
right there? No. Well, I don't want your
hands to be near it. Okay. I'm just
patting you at the back. And if this is
what she looks like sober, you can only
imagine the scene if she really lost it.
Truth is, she didn't need any drugs to
act like this. This level of chaos
seemed built in. What is What is going
on? Um I'm just not feeling right. Okay.
Why? Because
Okay. Did you uh drink today or take any
drugs? Are you having any sort of
medical condition? Can you look at
me? Okay.
I I'm worried about your your safety.
Okay. So,
I'm hot. Okay. I'm going to die of
dehydration.
Can I search your bag? Yeah. Okay. Can I
have one of the drinks in it, please? If
it is
sealed, maybe. Unless you just stole it
from HV. Did you steal them from HB? I
accidentally did. Okay. Well, then I'm
not going to let you have that because
you stole it. Okay. And that wouldn't be
right for me to allow you to steal the
property. What about these shoes here?
What's that stuff on my shoes? This is
part of the cake that you were throwing
all over the ground. Can I lick it? No.
Um, can you lean back real quick? Okay.
I'm just going to put this on you in
case we get hit. Hey, what what
substances did you take? Do you take
medications or anything? No.
Okay. What illegal drugs?
Go ahead. Correct. Correct. C O R R E C
T. Correct. To correct something is to
fix. Yes. It's clear she has some mental
health issues, but what's tricky is
she's using that to her advantage. Most
people in a true crisis don't dodge
responsibility, respond selectively, and
lie with this kind of precision. She
knew exactly what she was doing. When I
was on the phone with dispatch, uh they
said, "Do you want a CT?" I said, "She
hasn't done anything." And we warned her
and she stopped. I said, "And then they
hung up." And then right when they hung
up, then she stole the that stuff. And
then he called him outside, but I hadn't
gotten to talk to him yet. So he just
did the well check and let him go. And
then by the time he came to me, I was
like, "Oh, they stole a whole bunch of
stuff, too." Crap. He's like, "They
didn't tell me that when you called."
And I said, "Yeah, they had already hung
up." So I got you. No worries. Do you
have your ID with you? Yeah. I work
for My name is Dina. I am under their
surveillance 24 hours. Seven 24 hours a
day, seven days a week. I am under the
surveillance
of Texas, USA. You looking over here?
Hi. Hi,
[ __ ] I was feeling so [ __ ]
bored and y'all don't know what to do
with yourselves with yourselves when
you're so bored that you want me to go
through all of this [ __ ] so you can
watch. That's literally how bored you
[ __ ] people are. Y'all are
evil. At one point, she even stared
straight into the body cam and accused
the audience of being bored. After all
these years of reviewing body cam
footage, this might be the first time a
suspect breaks the fourth wall and tries
to host the show. This wasn't an arrest.
It was her
stage.
Hilar genius. I'm a lyrical genius. I'm
a mastermind. I'm Kanye West. Snap,
snap, snap, snap to it. Snap to it,
Dena. You're slacking off. You better
get to work. Dina, why are you at work?
Dena, you need to go to work. Dina, why
are you at work, Dena? You better get to
work. Amanda's going to know you're
going to be late for work, Dena.
Amanda's going to know. Amanda's going
to know. Amanda Ross. R O S. Romeo Oscar
Sierra. Amanda Ross. Evil. See you next
Tuesday. See you next number. You're
[Music]
a 90. I don't take letters away. I add
letters. I just added 55 N.
I can say whatever word I want to say
because I am Dina Jun and you don't
[ __ ] know me. Dina, sit down. Girl,
what are you stealing for? Girl, you
know I just be playing all the time.
Don't you ever be playing? No. No. Have
you been here before? In the end, Dena
was taken into custody and charged with
theft, criminal mischief, public
intoxication, disorderly conduct, and
failure to appear in court. But here's
the bigger question. When a suspect
clearly shows signs of mental
instability, but also commits multiple
crimes, where do we draw the line
between legal responsibility and the
need for psychiatric help? And what kind
of sentence is fair here? Jail time,
mandatory treatment? Let us know your
thoughts in the comments
below. So, what happens when a girl
turns a $15 ticket into a full-blown
felony? On June 10th, 2024 in Lady Lake,
Florida, police came across an abandoned
car sitting oddly in the middle of the
road. It looked shady from the jump and
when they noticed someone trying to
dodge the patrol vehicle. Yeah. They
weren't about to let that slide. They
checked the car and opened a full
investigation. What followed was quite
the scene. This is um my husband's car.
Well, it's abandoned in the middle of
the road, so it's getting towed. You
left it here. I just left it 5 minutes
ago. Why'd you leave in the road? Cuz it
broke down. I'm waiting on my dad to
come. All right. Well, tow truck's on
the way. So, really? Really? I'm sorry.
Why? What do you mean why? I turned
around on y'all. Y'all parked in a
driveway. Then I go down there and then
y'all drop the car and leave. Yeah, cuz
it's messing up. It's been overheating.
Okay. When I just told you my dad's on
his way, Kenny, the driver disappeared.
The passenger is still not here. My dad
is on his way to tow it. You have a
driver's license with you? No, not on
me. I'll lock my keys. My stuff's in the
car. Yeah. Well, you had the keys at one
point cuz you were driving the vehicle.
I wasn't driving the vehicle. You were
driving the vehicle. I seen you driving
the vehicle. I'm not going to argue with
you. Okay. Why are you being Why are you
being rude? Why are you lying to me? I'm
not lying to you. Can you prove I was
driving the vehicle? Yes, I can prove
you were driving the vehicle. You can?
Yeah. Where's your driver's license? I
just told you I don't have it, Klein.
She was driving the vehicle, but she
doesn't have an ID. She doesn't have
keys. I have my stuff in the car. I'm
literally on the phone with my dad.
Well, if you don't have keys, it's broke
down. It's getting towed. You can you
can It's not your car, so we can't give
it to you anyways. It's my husband's car
right now. He's incarcerated. He left
it. Prove your identity that it's your
husband. My identity. My We have
different last names. I have a marriage
certificate. I can go back way back
home. No,
she had a black male with her. Yeah, we
saw them. Oh, y'all did? I did. I don't
know if you noticed. She was getting out
of her car. She was walking up to the
house, but when we went back by, they
weren't there. She have keys for it. She
had to. She was driving it. That's
probably why she didn't want to give me
a license, but I seen her driving. No,
there's a wallet in there. Got to
inventory it anyways. So,
um they were coming off Spencer's. They
um I don't know if they had a seat belt
on. I turned around on her. They pulled
into this house next to where the
shooting happened. Pulled into that
house. They got out. Act like they were
working on the car. I see them pull out.
Soon as they see my car, they dip down
here. And then they must have came down
here. My thing is they had dope on them
and they got rid of it. I guarantee she
doesn't have a
license. You
go. Sam, back up. You're a little bit in
my space. Back up. I'm backing up. Can I
get your name bad, please? Corporal
Kron. Corporate Bron. Your name bad.
Officer Hayes. Badge numbers. 351. 228.
3 what? 228. 228. Yes. Thank you. Alexis
claims she forgot her license in the
car, but officers weren't buying it. Not
when they just seen her and a man sneak
away the moment the cruiser rolled up.
Suddenly, she's all about knowing her
rights, trying to play the victim. But
this little performance, it's about to
close. And the final act comes with
handcuffs.
Make sure he doesn't back up till I get
my car out of the way.
Nice. They can pop that open, right? I
think so. I don't see why not. We don't
have keys for it and it's locked up.
[Music]
As they prepared to tow the vehicle,
officers checked the contents and
surprise surprise, found a suspicious
backpack. Inside, methamphetamine, a
scorched glass pipe, and half a broken
Xanax tablet. Meanwhile, Alexis casually
strolled away, pretending she had no
clue what was going on until police
stopped her in her tracks. Quit pulling
away from me. What am I doing? Why can't
you give me your Stop. I am stopped.
Stop pulling away from me. I am. I'm not
pulling from you, bro. I'm not [ __ ]
pulling. Relax your arms. I am.
Relax. Why are you arresting me? Come
on. Walking down the street. Why are you
arresting me? You didn't give me no
citation or anything. I don't have to
give you a citation. So, why am I Why am
I being arrested? Driving without a
license so far. And then your crack
pipes that you got are meth pipes. What?
Are you serious right now? I didn't have
[ __ ] in my car. Come on. I didn't have
[ __ ] in my car.
What the [ __ ] You're being dramatic
ankle. You're being very dramatic. Get
up. Why are you arresting me? Get up.
Why are you arresting me first? Get up
or I'm going to lift you up. My right is
for you to tell me. You have a right to
remain silent. That's the right you have
right now. So stand up. Arresting me.
Why are you arresting me? Because I
didn't have nothing in my car. I'm not
playing your games. Stand up.
It's okay. This swollen face, too, that
you did, right? That you just fell and
act like you're trying to be something.
I hit my face.
Everything's on camera.
everything you harassed me for 3 days,
right? And I was not driving. My friend
was driving. No, he was in the passenger
seat. No, he wasn't. You got to get your
eyes checked. Yes, I guess. So, y'all
have been harassing me for 3 days and I
want to know why.
Hey, Crock. So, whenever I got out with
her, I told her to put her hands behind
her back. She pulled from me several
times. Um, as we're walking back to the
car, I had to grab her. Um, she just
threw herself down to the ground. She's
like, "Oh, you just kicked me in the
ankle. Okay. Just being super dramatic.
I have not searched her. So, we can car
do a use of force. I can get her to I
mean, it's not a use of force. There was
no force used. Okay. She dropped herself
on the ground.
Search her for. Yeah. That's when the
drama kicked into high gear. Alexis
suddenly complained of feeling faint,
saying the heat in the patrol car made
her pass out. EMS was called in to check
her out while police field tested the
substances on the spot. And wouldn't you
know it, the test results were just as
expected.
Register for me. Why am I being
arrested? And why can't anybody answer?
Drug possession, drug paraphernalia, and
driving on a suspended license. I've
already told you. Why? That is a damn
line. So, you tell me you planted drugs
on my car? We got body cameras to prove
that we didn't. Do you want me to check
in? Yeah. And the shoes. Do you have
anything on you that we need to know
about him? No. Okay. All right. Listen.
I'm going to take your shoes off. Stay
where you're at. Keep your feet
straight. Okay. How did these come off?
Is there a zipper? Okay. Keep a hand on.
I've already gave you answers. No, I
don't want him to touch me. He's already
yanking me around. You're hurting my
arm. I'm not I am barely holding it.
You're pulling away, hurting yourself.
I'm not pulling. Set that one. I am not
pulling. Sitting there squeezing my arm.
I'm not squeezing nothing. I'm holding
your arm back in. She's being very
dramatic. I want to talk to Okay, we're
talking to us.
There we go.
No one pushed you. Quit being dramatic.
Okay, you're being No, you are.
Um, you have any test kits in your car?
Wet test kits. Not these ones. I I think
so. Yeah. Cocaine and um Yeah, cocaine's
fine.
So, you got blue and orange. Mhm. It's
more pink and orange, though. Mhm. So,
I'm going to go with it's tested for
math. No wind at all until you want to
start messing with
dope. What a disaster. So, I mean, this
is testing this fentanyl, but I have a
crack white rock that was in there, so
it's probably messed with cracked
fentanyl. Let me turn the AC on. Roll
these windows
down. Wake
up.
Hey. Hey, wake up.
You just want EMS check her out. Okay.
Give me EMS51 1015. She's free then.
She's soon as I walk to the car. She put
her head down. So,
we got EMS coming to check you out
before you head out. I'm going to grab
my drink out of your car. Oh, yeah. They
have water, but they Yeah, you can't
have water in the back of the cop,
right? Yeah. And you did not give me any
reason why you arrest me. You just told
me to. I gave you a lawful order. You
kept pulling away from me. I did not
fool Ray from you. And besides, I am 98
lb. What am I going to do against you?
That's what I was thinking. Okay. And
everything you found in my car was not
in my car. Why are you wearing my
sunglasses? Seems like every time
someone's caught red-handed, they throw
out the old I'm sick routine to buy time
and drag the ER into it. It's exhausting
watching people use up system resources
like this when they have zero intention
of coming clean. Everyone's tired, but
these folks, they're out here running a
full-on soap
opera. After being evaluated at the
hospital, Alexis was slapped with a
laundry list of serious charges. Driving
with a suspended license, third offense,
possession of 32 g of methamphetamine,
possession of Xanax, a controlled
substance, drug paraphernalia, resisting
an officer without violence. Her bail
was set at
$9,500. She was released the next day
under conditional bond.
Coming up next, don't go anywhere
because we've got a thieving couple who
didn't see karma
coming. In July 2024, Humble, Texas
police were called to a Walmart after
store security spotted two suspects
stuffing merchandise into a suitcase and
handbag. They requested immediate
assistance. What happened next? Let's
break it
down. Somebody called noise disturbance
here regarding the apartments for a loud
party by the pool. I thought dude they
must have she work with that she working
with that guy or what were they together
type of deal? They went together when
she were doing it but they just me back
up and they got over in the uh in this
in this cut right here doing something
in the suitcase.
Oh, they
both right there. Okay. We couldn't get
no good angle on that's good enough for
me. Yeah. Check inside the suitcase
though. Oh, there's a suitcase in there.
Yeah. So if you pick that up, he put two
watermelon on them. So clothes and in a
purse. Yeah, she got a clothes.
I'm trying to find it last shot from
She didn't look inside the suitcase. I
bet there's stuff inside that suit. Oh
yeah, we're going to check
cuz he just handed her that. Last time I
did do this, we got in a fight.
Oh yeah. Yeah. Don't worry. We're gonna
get him before they can get get Ryan
Scott. That hurt me like
has like a little man bag. Having a
liquor violation. Yeah, I think my dad
got the tattoo. Get him or her. Get him
or her.
[Music]
Hey guys, humble police. Relax real
quickly. Ma'am, come
here. Hey, come here. Take first. Stop.
Ow. You're okay. See your
hands. Ma'am, stop tensing up. I just
want to put this down. Put your phone
right there. Drop it.
You're okay. 33. You got about 1 minute.
33. Show your weapons now. You have a
gun in this 33. Officers waited for the
right moment, then moved in just as the
pair headed toward the exit. The
suspects had a suitcase in a bag, both
filled with items they hadn't paid for.
No surprises there. What's your first
name? You got to think about it.
[Music]
At least there's some stuff in this
purse you probably didn't pay for. Is
there anything else purse you didn't pay
for?
Yes or no?
You got a gun or anything? I don't know.
Where's your ID at? Um, in my
Those are very loose, ma'am. No, they're
they keep sliding down and hitting on my
wrist. You want me to tighten up a
little bit? Um, I just pushed them up.
Okay. Do you have an ID in here? Where
at? In here. You already get it? You
don't have an ID?
You have a Texas ID? You have a Texas
driver's license?
You have a Louisiana ID?
Okay. But you have a Louisiana stop
today and nothing. Uh, zero. Jim, what's
your last name? Ross. What? Ross. R O S.
What's your first name? Jim. Jim. Jimmy.
Jim. J. Oh, Jim. My bad. Jim. You ever
been in trouble for anything?
Never.
What? The alligator on like the cages.
The
rim. Oh.
You guys just got unlucky. We were
actually doing a traffic stop arrest
like right outside the business. Oh,
what? Uh, an arrest right outside the
business. We had somebody on a traffic
stop. Oh, the traffic stop. Yeah. So,
they called us in, but we were already
here. Both had criminal records. She'd
been arrested before for tampering with
evidence. As for him, evasive,
inconsistent, and dodging questions. In
cases like this, what they admit to is
just the tip of the iceberg. The real
worry, what they're not saying.
What have you been in trouble for,
Madison? I'm sorry. What have you been
in trouble for? Uh, well, I got arrested
once, but it was hard for what?
Tampering with evidence. What' you do?
I didn't do anything. Jen, remind me
about your name.
Is it Jaya? It's just straight Jet. J E
R O. My people are really good.
Tell them about Louisiana. Yeah,
totally. Come on, man. What's up, man? I
asked you. I believed in you, Jim. I
thought you were better than this.
Cocaine, Jim, or
That's cocaine. Come on, Jim. You're
better than this. Pretty good little
chunks of it, too. Yeah. Oh, you're
better than this,
man. Come on. I believed in you, Jeff. I
believed in you when you told me there
there was none in there. Tell me about
the knives. Yeah, there's knives in
there, buddy. I swear to God I Come on,
man. I believed in you. You disappointed
me, Jeff. Yeah. What are you trying to
burn down, dude?
God dang. Wow. Torch. That's no joke,
dude. That's a legit torch. Literally,
the only thing in here is drug stuff,
dude. There's nothing else.
Just your drug bag, huh? Is that why
you're lying about your name or no?
Swear to God. That's your name. They're
going to find out.
under 4 oz or 4 g. Maybe right there.
Maybe right there. I got a uh scale in
the car. Yeah. Now, here's the kicker.
These two were shoplifting while
carrying drugs. Not just risky. That's
what we call a one-way ticket to jail.
Gift wrapped with evidence. Jeff, you
got anything in your shorts, man?
You sure?
Okay. Cuz if you're going to start being
honest with us, now is the time to be
honest with us. Nothing right now. Okay.
Well, what's up?
Okay. Well, we're going to find out.
We're going to go to jail. I was just
looking might be in there. No. What
would possibly maybe be in there? I was
just making sure I didn't have like
branding short. Yeah. What about you?
I'm going to have this female officer
check you too. Anything else you know
about? Okay. Cuz you're freaking the
hell out over there.
What hotel? The place. What you say? The
place. No, the Regency end.
Where's that? Is that the $20,000? Is
that Will Clayton over here by the
airport? I don't
know. Maybe. I think it's over there by
Wall House and stuff. Yeah. Is there
Wall House right there? No, it's a
Mexican place right next to like Mexican
restaurant. I wonder if it's down 1960.
straight this way. Straight to my car.
Okay, I'll put the AC on in the back.
Take a left. There's my car right there.
Okay. You sure you don't have anything
on you? Okay. We're going to check in
the jail. The thing is if if if it's we
find it in the jail, it ups the charge
and everything, so there's no point.
Okay. Let me see. Only one pocket.
Okay.
Hey, did you take anything before before
this? What do you mean? Did you take any
I know y'all have drugs, so like this?
What's that? Um I don't know what that
is. You don't know what that is? That's
in your pocket. I don't know. You sure?
You don't know? Okay. Now, now you're
making me worried. Oh, there's another
baggie. What are you going through?
Quick, quick, go through your pocket.
Both were found to have drugs on them.
Add that to their casual attitude and
the digital scale they were carrying,
and police began to suspect more than
just personal use, possibly low-level
drug dealing. Is there anything in your
backpack?
33 633, can you come over here real
fast?
I'm going have a female officer come
check you real quick. Okay. I found this
already.
here.
Is there anything in your hand? No. Just
your deck here real quick. Do you have
anything in your brawl? Anything in your
pocket? Anything else at
all? Is that like I said, it's going to
up the charge if if you if we get
something in the in the jail. Okay.
This was in her front left
pocket. There's a straw. I just don't
want to check her back pockets.
Can you check her back pockets real
fast? Yeah,
133
beginning up there. 2327.
No independent rear control for the AC.
Thanks, dude. We'll do theft. I think
it's going to be under for her. Okay.
Well,
actually for both. Yeah.
6 hours. Show the adult male.
They were taken to jail and charged with
theft and drug possession. Depending on
the value of the stolen goods and the
amount of drugs, the consequences could
range from fines to jail time. In Harris
County, if they're caught with less than
four grams, they might just get a summon
instead of being locked up on the spot.
But don't let that fool you. The
consequences are still very real. So,
what happens when a girl fresh out of
jail for theft goes right back to her
old ways?
On April 8th, 2024, police were
dispatched after Walmart security
reported a familiar face. Kadia, a known
shoplifter who was already banned from
the store, was back. And this time, she
was caught wandering the aisles, eyeing
merchandise like she was gearing up to
steal again.
You have your ID on email? I don't.
Okay. What's your name? Cada. Cada. Is
it? Yes. Okay. I'm going to put your
hand on your back. You have warrants.
Okay. Okay. Here. Here, you want to set
that down for me. Here, put that in your
pocket. Okay. Um, here. You want to take
her phone real quick? Thank
you. There you
go. 1095 with her in the clothing
section. Okay. I didn't steal anything.
Yeah, you not this time. I can't charge
you with it. But that doesn't mean I'm
not going to put it into my computer
system. All right. Head back to your
office. Yeah. I'm going to take this to
the service and let him bring it up.
37850. We're heading back to the service
desk. into the video.
I thought I saw you crash fine. Then
when I go in, you were already whipped
around. Yeah.
All right. So, you don't have your ID on
you? No. Okay. Okay. Here. You want to
hold it real quick?
[Music]
Is there anything in the bag that's
yours? I don't see anything. You can
look into it if you want. It's heavy,
but I don't I think Apparently a guy
here with her. What's that? They said
there was a guy in here. Not with her,
but he's might be the guy.
Okay. All right. So, got trespass right
now. She's already barred from here. Oh,
yeah. You already gone through the pack.
76. Come over here to the LP office on
the right entrance.
Hey, where the L where the LP officer?
Now, she hadn't actually made off with
anything yet. But the fact that she'd
already been banned and had a prior
record was enough for officers to detain
her on the spot. When you're not even
supposed to be in the building, you're
already breaking the law just by showing
up. We got her just cuz they didn't
actually steal anything yet, but they
stopped her. Let's see.
Right there. Do you have anything on me
that will stick me, hug me, anything
like that? Okay. So, I'm going to pull
this off real quick. Make sure nothing
underneath here. Nothing.
Well,
uh, those aren't fashion accessories.
What? Ankle monitor. Okay. Okay. Is
there any pockets? This little boat
here.
Do you have anything on underneath
there? No, a bra. Okay. I don't see any
pockets. All right.
Hey.
Okay.
Do you mind put my body back on my head?
Like 66. I've worked here 10 years.
Don't have it memorized.
I used to have all that come up in here.
I only used to be in here what, four or
five times a week. Sorry.
So, I set off your alarm coming out of
here.
The two things that didn't look used
were this and this.
I'm going to read something to you real
quick. But something set up an alarm.
So,
[Music]
Well, it looks like it's been used a
little bit.
[Music]
And mine, do you wish or are you want to
answer my questions now?
I didn't see anything look terribly new.
There's not nothing in there. Yeah. All
right. So, what's going on today? Uh
Oh, no.
What What happened with the the plastic
bags that you got said you had on? Did
you take the shoes off real quick so I
can check inside there? No. My cell
phone.
Do you have anything that belongs to
your back? I don't. Okay. Here you go.
Okay.
Yes, that's an ankle monitor she's
wearing. And yes, she still walks
straight into Walmart to shop. Some
folks just don't learn. For people like
her, consequences aren't a deterrent.
They're just part of the routine. Have
you been arrested here before? Yeah,
that's not Have you been trespassed from
here? Um, you're saying you
have saying like I've been arrested for
here. You're saying you've been
trespassed. You weren't allowed to come
back here. Oh, bard. Yeah. Why? So, how
come you came back? Did you meet with
Bard?
Stupid. Stupid. Okay. Oh, as far as a
previous borrowing, you just go ahead
and put the case number somewhere in uh
the CAD for us.
Did you know you had any a warrant for
your arrest? No, I figured it out. Okay.
Uh what's your phone number? I don't
know about that. It's fine. There was
nothing in the bag. Okay, good job. All
right. So, you had all the money to pay
for all this stuff?
That's my fault. I didn't see a wallet.
Well, she doesn't. I mean, this is going
to be a lot. Like, that's a lot of junk
in there. They worry about the the
secret shoppers they call us, but they
don't worry about the regular associates
who are watching just as hard. I got
good people in here. I mean, charge
like still here. What? Oh, you're
getting a charge for Colonel Trust File
cuz you've been barred from here before.
You also have outstanding warrants, Mr.
House and everything. So, you are going
to jail. Oh, I know. saying about is
there still like here like as far as
well they got to go through check make
sure and all that. Um we're about to go
out to the car in a second. Don't worry.
In fact, you can put my car up. It's on
the other side. Yeah.
[Music]
But yeah, it's very suspicious that you
have all these items or anything. But
uh does she have a wallet? I didn't see
a wallet, but the only she had on her
was her phone. I put it in the back. Oh
my gosh.
Yeah, that you come here to a place to
shop and all that. Got a lot of items
and you have no way to purchase any of
those items. Also giving your past
history.
When officers asked her about the
shopping trip, she claims she was just
browsing, but she didn't have a wallet,
a receipt, or any form of payment. To
her, shopping must mean grab and go of
shopping from here. Uh, and we've
actually been looking for you for a
while. There's been photos and pictures
of you shoplifting from here before and
all that. So, which is actually some of
your other warrants.
No warrants for shoplifting. I believe
you have some other warrants for
shoplifting besides the probation.
I'm so sick of these goddamn bull
hookers I got, man.
Well, I don't get at least one bench
warrant signed for you, so
So, we'll probably renew your barring
out here again. So,
man, like your keys. You do not like
your keys on the car. Well, Smith
transport and then uh
used to have two keys. Hi. Want to sneak
past y'all? Oh, can you Good evening.
How you doing today?
Oh, that's just run in the middle.
So, he's going to come in here. He's
going to tell you again. Pretty much
you've been borrowed. Please listen.
Please. Walmart got like a zillion
dollars. Like, it's damn near
impossible. You're probably better off
doing crime at the Secret Service than
than to come here after you've been
barred. Like, there's cameras
everywhere. Ple please. Like, you just
set yourself up. And I've been doing
this for like 10 years.
It's 1325. She still got all that and
that left.
Oh yeah. She's like she was saying she's
going to use whatever app on her phone
to purchase it. I'm like sure. Yeah. 10
for go ahead and uh extend it again from
today another two years.
So again you're born for a period of 2
years starting over from now
till 2006. Uh, good old cars. They're
2026. So, this loss prevention confirmed
it. She'd been photographed for theft
before. And here we are again. Officers
made it clear. She was under arrest and
her 2-year ban from Walmart was
reinstated. Seems Kadia forgot that
Walmart never forgets. They've got
cameras, facial recognition, and a long
memory.
Let me get your bag and then we're going
to head out to my car. Okay. You like
your keys in your car,
man. If you want to stand by here,
William
this way. Sure thing.
Going to be this first car right here.
OP stuff, man. 10.
You doing okay? You need any
help? Go
be 10 in uh August. You never thought
about doing police? Nah, cuz I I mean I
can get shot here, but I I don't know. I
just Okay. And your birthday is April
26, 94, correct? Okay. At least you got
a vest, huh? Yeah. At least I got in a
gun. I fell into this. It was just
something I got into after school for a
bit while my wife was finishing her
bachelors and then it just got stuck.
She used to do it too over at uh the
other Walmart and then at TJ Maxx. And I
don't know. I don't like to
run. Y'all got to run. You don't got to
run. Y'all don't got to I mean um It's
rare. Yeah, it's just not. Can you get
out? Okay. All
right. The shades back on my head. Back
up. Yeah. Yeah. There you go.
Looks like you were having fun tonight.
That day, she was charged only with
trespassing. But not long after, she was
also hit with theft charges for a
separate incident just one month
earlier. Given her repeat offender
status, she could be looking at fines,
probation extensions, or even jail time.
Here's what goes down when a drugstore
worker trades the rules for a quick
payday and thinks no one's
watching. On January 20th, 2023 in
Lakewood, Ohio, police were dispatched
to a pharmacy after reports surfaced
that two employees were suspected of
manipulating the checkout system,
resulting in the loss of over $2,000 in
merchandise. What happened next
unraveled a story of poor choices and
broken trust.
Other people, customers who were friends
of theirs that were coming. So they got
and it was $100. A merchant has not run
out. I said he stole 100 and I stole
100. We participated together, right?
And I rang up. I would say I stole 200
and you stole 100 and he stole 100. So
that's how I came up with the totals.
Okay.
I got a little concerned that I lost 95%
of the time. You'll see the word
announce, right? This is a list of all
the items corresponding with the day,
the date, the time, the infinite number,
the date that it happened, the time that
it happened, who the cashier was, and
who the customer was. You know, this
unknown, I don't know who I don't know
who that customer is, what the items
were, what the dollar retail value. Now,
sometimes you'll see, you know, times
three. There's a lot of information
here. I apologize for that. No, no, I'm
winning off for I'll reprint this cuz I
don't know what ketchup I got on there
or something. Okay. Okay. So, where are
they both right now? She's in this room
with these two upstairs. I put two
chairs. What's going on? I just trying
to get some information for you. I'm
just pretty much identify who you are.
You don't do you have an ID on you right
now by chance? I do.
We have no idea yet.
Appreciate it.
They're here right now. I'm about to
show you what's my kid's dad wants to
know if if I I speak to you ask him am I
able to call him and let him know what's
going on. Yeah, you get a call. Yeah.
All right. They said that I can call
you. So I mean in your words I mean so
we have like the written part what he
says. So you want to like explain to me
like what in your own words what's
what's been going on? Okay. So I guess
you have a statement that's written out
what's happening.
me doing [ __ ] not knowing that
there could be consequences, but getting
comfortable trying to make sure my kids
store management told police that the
employees had been skipping scans when
ringing up purchases for friends,
causing around $2,000 in losses.
Security handed over video evidence on a
USB drive along with detailed
transaction records. But rather than
rushing to make arrests, officers wanted
to understand the why behind it all. Um,
so basically, make a long story short,
um, it all started with someone ringing
out my stuff. Wasn't supposed to with
the with the right price. Like I guess
they kind of moderated and stuff like
that. So, make a long story short, just
basically kind of took advantage of that
and um just been doing it. So, me and
another coworker was kind of sort of
like, you know, helping each other out
for the for the most part. The manager
was kind of explaining things. All
right. And uh basically when when a
crime of theft reaches a certain
threshold over $1,000, I didn't even
know to do it. It becomes something if
it becomes goes from misdemeanor to
possibly a felony. Used to come me was
D. And I did do that like two or three
times. So that's just the truth. I'm not
sure what they were los prevention, but
I didn't know you know what I think his
name was Dave. He basically was like he
told me he was like he just you know he
was talking to me. I didn't put up a
fight. I didn't argue. I just told him
everything that I knew, everything on my
end because it's I mean this is about
me. It's not about other people. And he
was bringing up other people and I'm
like I know who else was involved. I
told you but he was like basically
thinking like other people are involved.
I'm like no you know it was moral. But
on my end I can't speak for him. I can't
speak for Daryl. I can't do that. I can
only speak for me on my end when I was
given the opportunity of oh you know
you're helping me out and everything
knowing you know I don't have anything
and I'm just low. You know I was like
okay. He was explaining to me that uh
you might have some warrants out of
Cleveland still. Out in Cleveland. He
said that you said told him that or
maybe Oh, no. I don't have any warrants
in Cleveland. I'm on probation for
Cleveland. Okay. So, my warrants are
cleared. Hopefully, we can move on and
get get this figured out. But we
appreciate you being cooperative. It
makes things easier for both of us. So,
yeah, for sure. You know, and as I I
know that there are consequences, but
I'm not saying that all just because I
have a story, you know, everybody has a
story. Everybody got something going on.
But it's just like I didn't want him
thinking it was somebody else involved,
you know, cuz I never put anybody else
in that position. You know, it was only
me in jail. One of the women involved
appeared remorseful. She admitted she
started by occasionally helping out a
friend, scanning the wrong prices, but
it eventually became routine. Still,
that admission didn't spare her from
arrest. Take a minute. All right.
I'm saying I'm not done with y'all. I
just want to know um I don't want to
prolong anything you guys stuff y'all
got to do and get to. Is there help that
I can get as far as like the you know
you get what I'm saying? Like as far as
like helping with um getting things in
order. So I'm not in this position. I'm
not going to do this again. But I'm
saying like where I'm not in a position
where I feel like I'm that low. You
going to stoop to that position? Well,
we we we deal with many many people,
okay, at all different crimes and all
different whatever. When are you guys'
court? When's court? This week? I think
I want to say it's the 20 24th based on
what I'm saying. Cuz I don't want to
just go in and get charged and then just
have that on me where I'm not I'm lost
still with no answers. Of course.
Listen, I I think again, you know, Russ
was saying that uh it's about $300
thinking about what do I need to get
done? How do I navigate? You know,
there's no, you know, just like people
go to jail and then they get out. You
know, they've been in there for years or
No, no, no. Just don't just, you know,
just being, you know, logical like, you
know, they go in there and they come out
like, well, what? All right, man. You
want to stand up? You want to put your
phone in your pocket? So, now you put
your hands behind your back for now. All
right. So, you understand what he told
you, right? Oh, can do I need my phone?
Your phone? Yeah. Where that at? It's in
my reg. It's under under $1,000. Okay.
So, either way, I still need to have my
consequence. I'm not I'm not backing
down from that. I'm a whole mother. So
if I sit here and I get, you know, oh,
dismissed, I mean, I got dismissed my
whole damn life, you know. Well, again,
we deal with many, not like with y'all,
but with life, you know, so many times I
could have been in a in a bad situation.
So many times I could have been gone and
not here anymore, you know. So Well,
again, listen, because you're No, no,
that's that's okay. Okay. And and what
I'm trying to tell you is that we deal
with many people, okay? Some people
steal because they're criminals. Okay?
Some people steal. I mean,
I'm legally. Yeah, but you get what I'm
saying. That category, you are not you
don't fall under that category. Okay.
Was there anything? What? Yeah. One with
Rocky River and one with Newberg
Heights. She called herself a devoted
mother. Yet, she stole from her job and
ended up losing it. And in the end,
there was nothing left for her child but
a handful of excuses. It's always hard
to hear someone say they did it for
their kids, only to ruin everything for
those same kids. again something to
something to explain to a judge, right?
Or a magic like it's right, you know.
So, um once we get more guys over here,
we'll go we just got to search you out
obviously because you're currently
arrest um currently under arrest for the
thefts and for the warrants obviously.
Um so you have nothing else we need
994,
but there's always a lie. Right. Right.
People do things for different purposes,
right? All right. Easy enough. Okay.
Take take a second. Right. gather
yourself. Um, do you have you have any
pockets or anything? Like do you have
anything in your pocket? All right. And
then are you here in a vehicle or did
you take the bus driver? I took the bus.
Okay. Get like a bond or something like
that. Probably. But you probably have to
talk to the detectives first. Oh, okay.
So where I can get out today? I'm not
sure. It depends if there's detectives
available. It depends if you go with us
or or one of the other warrants wants to
take you instead. There's a there's a
lot of questions right now, but we're
trying to we're trying to figure out as
we go.
I'm going to talk to the other officer
upstairs that's talking to that
gentleman and we'll go from there. Now
that makes sense.
Um yeah, just for a minute. No, I'm
saying if this door lock I don't know
door lock doesn't lock from the outside.
Yeah, locked from like it doesn't cuz
it's not Yeah, I don't think that it's
open. It cannot be locked in. You're not
We're locked out. You're not locked in.
I was going to say y'all could have
pretended I was locked in. No, I was
like
hers is $1,822.
Okay. His is $2104 cuz he was Okay. All
right. Now, I'm not saying that there's
$4,000 for the merchandise that you rang
out. You had $100 for him and for her.
So, it can be a,000. It cannot be,000.
But there's probably there there's
$4,14 between the two of them. Hers is
only
$1,8 of that. I hope I'm explaining. It
was It was complicated writing it all
up. They were both involved in $1,800.
The store security report showed she
caused
$1,822 in losses. The male suspect,
$2,14. That's a total of
$3,926. Enough to push the charges into
felony territory. Both were taken in for
further processing.
We just trying to figure out because he
said if he rang her out or she rang him
out, you still add 100 to each of them
instead of if he was the one purchase
purchasing the items, it would just be
$100 that he stole just because she was
ringing him out, it would be $100 for
hers. If you and me go in the store and
I hold a bag and you put the merchandise
in your bag, we're both responsible. We
wouldn't get the merchandise in the bag
and divide it in half and say you stole
half and I we both stole everything that
was in the bag. If we broke the store
overnight, just the bags and walked out
and it was $100 in merchandise that had
to be brought out. The person who didn't
hang it up and put it in bags and the
person who picked up the bags and walked
out the door both responsible. They're
both charged with $100. Even though
there's only $100 of missing products
and they call the store,
right? Okay.
Okay. I'm sorry. It's so confusing. I
It's um All right. So, you had your
phone. You have anything else on you?
You said
I can grab or you want to just turn your
face away from me real quick. Want to
kick your feet out? Spread them out a
little bit.
Right now,
I got to get off the phone so I can go.
Okay, they will. They'll let me get a
phone call. Okay, I got to
go. They let me know. If we thought
that, we wouldn't let you.
Okay. Can you um It's just you you have
a shirt on underneath that. No. Okay.
You don't have to
just I just have a wire in. Okay. Yeah.
Yeah. We'll have a female do that. Do
you have um a purse or code or
anything? We'll we'll
car
information here.
In the end, both were booked and charged
with fifthderee felony theft. That could
mean 6 to 12 months in jail, fines up to
$2,500, or depending on their
cooperation and whether they have prior
records, the court might consider
lighter options like probation or
community rehab programs. It's a tough
reminder. Shortcuts and favors at work
don't stay secret for long. And when the
truth comes out, everyone pays the
price. That's a wrap on today's roller
coaster of chaos and crime. So, tell us
