It's an Audi SUV. >> As the BMW backs up, deputies make their move and attempt to block the stolen vehicle. >> Yep. They're going to bail. They're right. >> A suspect jumps out of the Audi and is now trying to get back inside the BMW. >> They managed to escape and around the building they go. All right, I'm going to have the radio. >> And waiting for them on the other side is another deputy. >> Head on for Uncle Sam. Stand by. >> Let me see your hand. >> Let me know for you. Let me know. >> They back up, but it does not look like they're going to get far. >> Where they are, Johnny? >> Right behind you. They got them cornered in. Stand by. >> Get on [screaming] the ground. Let me see your hand. Get on the ground. Get on. Get on the ground. >> As the driver gets out, the passenger tries to escape. ground and get a dog bit. Get on the ground and get a dog bit. >> He's then quickly tas point. >> Don't move. You hear me? Don't move. >> There's one more in the back. Tony, there's one guy in the back still in the car. Just hold your hold your position. Everybody hold tight. There's still more guys in the vehicle. Hold tight. >> Behind 104's vehicle. There's one more in the vehicle in the back. Deputies surround the BMW at gunpoint. >> Okay, shut your sirens off. Calm it down. We're good. >> Looks good. Tony, it's all you. >> Passenger, open the door. Put your hands outside. >> Drop out. >> In case you're wondering, that howling is coming from K9. >> Spin around so I stop. Spin. Spin. Spin. Keep going. Stop. Stop. Put your hands back in your head. Place your fingers. Walk backwards till I tell you to stop. Keep going. Anyone else inside the car? >> All three suspects are taken into custody. And it looks like the owner of this blue Audi is now in for a bit of surprise. >> Yeah. For that Audi right there that the deputy is standing next to. Yeah. They made entry into that vehicle. >> Both Jack Darlington and Ureba Gonzalez Lopez. They were charged with grand theft auto auto burglary and also traveling across county lines with intent to commit burglary. Gonzalez Lopez also got a resisting charge. The third suspect was a minor, so no information on that guy right now, but they have him, too. >> Passing uh orange, he stabbed someone at a pediatric office. >> Indian River County deputies in Florida in pursuit of a driver who fled after allegedly stabbing a doctor at a pediatric office about a half hour away in Jupiter. 60 pass driving on the shoulder passing vehicles. >> The suspect is behind the wheel of this white Lexus now going about 130 mph 35. >> He's now trying to squeeze past a deputy who's trying to box him in. He then sideswipes the patrol car. >> Vehicle just struck my vehicle. We're going to need sticks probably on the vehicle. He's not going to stop. >> High above a sheriff's office chopper locates the vehicle. >> He's in the left lane over 120 mph. >> Yeah. 104. We'll try to keep you updated. We're trying to keep up with him. He's he's going pretty fast. >> He's still north on I5. >> Up ahead, a deputy is waiting with stop. >> All right, just past the exit. Stand by inside lane. >> Traffic is stopped cuz we're up here at Spike Strip. So, not sure where he's going to go. lane outside lane now. Continue past the bridge. Believe he just tried to get six. He continued. He's on the outside lane on northbound. I believe it was successful hit on the stop six. He's in the middle lane. No traffic ahead. It's clear ahead. >> Left tire's out. It's going. >> He's lost the tire and is now really starting to slow down. >> Once again, middle lane, left tires out. He's slowing down. Okay, coming up. He is slowing down significantly. 158 left lane. Slowing down significantly. 158 north on 95. >> With nowhere to go, he attempts to make a U-turn. >> Trying to cut into the mean. He's going to get stuck. He's in the water. Oh, he made it. He's might make it three guys if he can cut across back southbound. All right. Yeah, he's southbound on the outside shoulder 95 southbound. We have another 1033, please. >> He's now completely surrounded. >> Traffic information, he is armed. >> Subject on the ground. Come down. Stand by. Stand by. >> Deputies are reminded that he just attempted to kill a man and could still be armed. >> If anybody has a shield, bring your shield up. Hold the gun. And finally, the suspect is taken into custody. >> And they do have one in custody. I don't know. >> An Indian River County deputy has just spotted a motorcycle that was reported stolen earlier in the day. >> Christopher Jones. >> They believe that's Christopher Jones, who allegedly threw a teenager to the ground before taking off with his brand new dirt bike. He's now riding the dirt bike on the grass towards oncoming traffic. Aubrey is the uh mic. >> He cuts across the road and goes up on the grass again. everything. >> Apparently, his strategy worked. >> The sidewalk comes to an end and it looks like Jones has vanished into thin air. >> Can you say rescue non-emergency? >> But not for long. Other deputies quickly pick up on his trail. He tries to lose them again. This time by cutting through some backyards, but they're right behind him. He runs the stop sign and makes a left turn, but the deputies still right behind him. And it now looks like more deputies have joined in the pursuit. >> Jones cuts across the four-lane road and is once again driving on the opposite side towards oncoming traffic. He's now weaving all over the road trying to figure out his next move. >> He tries to lose them by turning into a culdeac. >> And down goes the bike >> along with his shorts. He tries again to escape. >> Hands up. >> And quickly thinks the better of it. >> And down he goes again. >> Do it now. >> Roll over on your stomach. >> One by one, the deputies move in. >> And eventually they make the arrest. >> 1180. Clear channel >> 54. He's uh he just went on the 13th place west to dead end road and I'm trying to catch up to him now. An Indian River County deputy is in pursuit of a BMW that moments ago passed him driving recklessly. >> All right, he is hunting down 46th Avenue. >> He tracks the driver into a nearby culdeac. He spots the car which is now headed straight for him. >> I just hit him. Stand by. The deputy has just pitted him, but the suspect takes off. >> He ran into my car. He's going uh south now. >> He quickly catches up with the driver. >> And he's coming back uh north on 40 40 uh weather. >> He cuts across the grass to avoid a roadb block and then manages to avoid a second roadblock. Up ahead, there's yet another roadblock. >> The deputy tries to pit him again, [screaming] but he manages to squeeze through. >> He ran into my vehicle. >> He's now back on the main road. >> No, we're going to 20 up now. Right behind him. He runs a red light, [screaming] but the officer is still right on his tail. >> We're continue on west now on 20th. >> The drive is now going well over 100 mph. He runs another red light >> going through 58th Avenue now. >> And another. >> We're still going west on 20th. Up ahead, a deputy awaits with stop sticks. >> Like a good hit. We're stay one west. >> The sticks are a success and the driver begins slowing down. Looks like at least one of the tires is now flat. The deputy moves in for another pit. >> I just pitted it. Hey, let me see your hands. Let me see your hands. Put your hands up. Put your hands up. Put your hands up. Face away from me. Face away from me. >> He's telling the driver to face away. >> And by the looks of his outfit. >> Can you really blame him? >> Face away. Put your hands up. Walk straight back. Walk straight back. >> The driver is apparently dressed for Halloween as a sexy angel or maybe a sexy gladiator. Put your hands bow your back. >> He's placed under arrest. >> And it looks like this year it'll be all tricks and no treats. >> Get in the car. >> 28-year-old Edward Taylor Gabban was charged with fleeing under looting, aggravated assault of an officer, and DUI in violation of a probation on a felony charge. >> So, we're responding to a fleeing vehicle here. Um, they're at Whited Speedway. They're just right up ahead of us. >> Tesla might have a >> signal. Signal 0. >> Black male. >> Black male with a gun. >> He's running westbound. >> 41 sees him. I'm on him. Stay down. Don't move. I got him at gunpoint. with the car. >> Yes. >> Don't move. Shut your mouth. Don't talk. >> Yes, sir. >> 41 has one in the HD furniture parking lot. >> Depends on me, sir. >> Don't move. >> I got my little brother, Dave. How many people are standing? >> We got all I just need. >> They didn't do nothing, sir. >> Two more over here. I got three, >> sir. They ain't do nothing, sir. >> Don't move. They ain't do nothing, sir. >> Them my little brothers. >> You can do it. To me, my little brothers, bro. Just don't let nothing happen to my little brothers, bro. Just on me, sir. >> Hey, let's get up off your stomach here. >> It's my little brother skate, bro. >> Your little brothers in the car? >> I got two little brothers, bro. >> All right. and Javar cousin to it, bro. >> All right. Yeah, I'm going >> to everything, bro. >> I'm going sit you on me, bro. >> My phone in my pocket. >> Yes, sir. Come over here. >> You good? You good? >> So, um, fleeing vehicle. I believe he fled from one of our sergeants. He crashed out up here. Um, he took off running. Somebody called out a signal zero, which means firearm for us. Um, he didn't have anything on him. So now the job is right now to try and locate that firearm if there was ever a firearm 65 central >> for the tape. I found the signal zero at the uh 2,00 or 2600 block Harvard's furniture. Yes, ma'am. >> Officer Marquez was able to locate the firearm this gentleman was seen running with. It's uh compact Glock and 45 auto. Nice little extendo mag on it. Should be about 26 rounds. >> You guys okay? Like no broken bones? No. >> All of them are denying medical. >> You had your seatelts on? Listen. >> Oh, thank goodness. >> I feel it tomorrow. I tell you what, >> you feel good now. Tomorrow it's going to hurt. >> Um, the driver's definitely going to be charged with fleeing and eluding and resisting police without violence. And so that's what we got so far. >> Still see. It looks like it's still eastbound on North Street towards like grave. What we're going to do is uh >> we're going to go ahead and try to assist with a VCAT. They have a fleeing vehicle right now. So, we're going to get in the area and see if we can't get sticks and get in front of it. >> We're pretty close to it. So, hopefully we'll be able to see the car and get some sticks on it. >> All right. So, it looks like the car went into the water. So, we'll get in the area and make sure that this person don't get out and go swimming. Channel 4. >> Taser deployed. I got the driver on the ground. >> Close as well. Oh, no. I got someone close. >> All right, I'll get out with him. >> Hey, check [screaming] the car. >> All right, we're going to make sure nobody else is in the car. >> [screaming] >> Stop fighting. >> Trying to make sure nobody else is in the car. They're handling that. [screaming] Do we have anybody? >> I don't see the passenger. >> You just fled and put everybody's life at risk. >> No, I did not. >> Yes, you did. >> Oh, that's why. >> Right back. >> Right back pocket. >> I got Oh, that's nice. >> Well, That's wave. That's wave flame. >> What? >> I don't know. That softball size bag of meth that you have in your pocket. Oh, no. Must not be your pants in your pocket while you were crashing into the water. [laughter] >> That's not mine. >> This is a freshly cut meth. Crystal clear. Look at that. >> I don't uh I don't know if it gets any fresher than that. >> Oh yeah. This This is fresh, man. I initiated a traffic stop for a stop sign violation. He immediately fled at a high rate of speed once he saw my patrol car blowing numerous stop signs, red lights. Not a single regard for anybody in the community coming around this bend here. He lost control, ate crap into the river, tried to bail out of the driver's seat. I was right here a little foot chase real quick where he dropped one bag of the meth. Uh deployed my taser a couple times. He fought with me on the ground for a little bit. didn't win the fight and he's going to go to jail for a bunch of stuff today and uh probably lose his car. So, >> as you can see, it's it's nice when we are able to get somebody off the streets that are causing chaos. So, as you can see, the citizens like that when a bad guy gets off the street. So, another one off the street >> on Kennedy. We're just rest ponding to the area of uh Via County that has a vehicle fleeing that's stolen. >> When it was stolen, it had a gun in it and we're trying to help them out. I'm trying to get sticks ahead of it. I'm trying to predict where it's going. So, this car is not going to be able to flee anymore. >> Go on. Hold this one, buddy. Go make go make go westbound on street. >> All right. >> All right. Back to third. Eastbound third. >> Eastbound third from behind. He's going eastbound. >> Car's coming up. >> All right, car's fleeing. >> Stay safe. 92 central. vehicles. Uh coming up to Mason, get in front of me. >> Maybe not. >> [snorts] >> back east. >> I'm paralleling him on this street. He's over there, though. >> Frustrating miss there um for Chris Maher. >> Yeah, absolutely. Uh it looked like he was going to try to get him hit him with a stop stick. A single stop stick. That being >> which makes it that much harder. >> Which makes it even harder. Absolutely. >> So now he's got to try and catch up. >> Yeah. Hopefully he'll get him. He's got his left blinker on like he wants to go north, but he's still going east. >> Anyone around Washington? >> All right, he's going to go southbound. Southbound Washington coming south from northbody by angel. I lost the curve, but he should be the first one. [clears throat] >> I'm going hit Canon just in case he circles around. [snorts] southbound towards speedway southbound third speed on dang. So, >> orange. >> Yep. >> So, the problem is I try I'm trying to get ahead of this car to get sticks ahead of it. So, I got to predict >> where he's going to be. I just keep making bad choices going the wrong way. quick on either north or south. >> So I'm trying to get ahead of it. So >> I may have him westbound on Hog Street. >> Yep. Street. I do not have eyes. Oh, nope. Still occupied. >> The vehicle is sounds like it might be stopped over in our area we call >> ppu. They had to run south. >> No one's in it. They had to run south. Probably going to put a dog out and try to find. >> You got someone to go with >> in Daytona Beach, Florida, where there was a pursuit of a stolen vehicle. >> The people in the car >> fled. It looks like they have caught one possible suspect there. They're now looking for someone else. That's Lieutenant Richie M. They've got Kan >> Ali Kan Ali did a phenomenal job. >> Did you check this yard? >> Yep. >> So, he tracked right to this guy and then pushed right into here again. >> You want to come with me? >> I think Jay is Roger in that yard or no? >> Roger. from to your west. Where you at? >> I'll let you take it. I just didn't want to go off. >> Yep. I'm with him. >> So, he wasn't able to get here yet, Jay. >> All right. You want to hold the back? >> Roger. >> Yeah, go ahead and clear it. >> Kay, go to that other side for me. Here >> Jay, I got one on my gun. >> Pull it up. >> All right, >> Kay, you got that side covered. >> Hey, we got somebody that can identify from county. >> Tracked right to this kid. >> We might have to jump. >> Yeah, there's about 600 wheelbarls right here. Okay. >> Hey, Miranda. >> You going around that side, Jay or this side? >> All right. Yeah, that kid was sweating bullets. You got you got him covered while he jumps. >> Watch out. Give me light. There's another lawn mower. Oh, I bet it was just that kid right there. Jumped over here. I had nowhere to go. >> Right behind you. Good. >> I just got something on my ass. >> I had nowhere to go. Went back. Did you stay there? >> Holy [ __ ] That's a short. >> It's a short stop this way, Jay. And it's like a [ __ ] net right behind you. A turns out the guy there in cuffs, the young man, actually they believe now was the driver of the stolen vehicle. But they're still looking for someone else who was in that car. >> Y'all don't know what he was wearing. >> You got identified as the driver. But relax. >> He was wearing >> Who was he wearing? >> Your face. >> Who was he wearing? My name is Timothy. >> He was wearing your face. What other go to college for this job? For real, bro. >> Been to college for this job, young man. >> You did? >> Yes, sir. >> So, why you not helping them? >> I don't possibly identified you as the operator >> job. You got the wrong guy. >> You all right? >> You confident? >> 100%. >> You bet your life on it? >> I will, man, cuz I drove by you. >> All right, man. I drove by miles an hour. >> Yeah. What I had on >> your face. >> I saw face. >> Come on, buddy. >> All right. In Daytona Beach, they've apparently been pursuing and looking for, I guess, a vehicle all day. Detective Noah Gre believes he spotted it. Officer Roger Lawson now coming in as backup. uh maybe through the white. >> So, uh through white. I don't have the eye anymore. >> We're able to I'm paralleling on done through white. >> We're able to uh keep an eye >> keep an eye on it from a distance at this point. So, we think we have a pretty good setup >> on it right now. We're just trying to uh relocate it. might be coming up. All right, I'm coming up on Dun and Birkshshire. >> Sorry, I think my radio switched over. I lost it north on Nova. back to an Atlanta drive address for Dayton Beach. >> Here we get a county or Holly Hill unit. >> I see westbound on north towards Cad and south. >> I'm about to stick him right here. I'm on Clyde. [ __ ] >> I see him from a distance. He's westbound on CL. >> He's got an address on the vehicle's actually uh >> guy's heads up. He's pulling in health boulevard. So if you guys could get out there on Clyde is probably coming back out that way. Northbound helping inter northbound on El Boulevard. Serge, he's about to be up to Clyde now. Yep. Coming out to Clyde by himself. It's coming northbound driver. >> Yeah, Eddie, it looked like a positive circuit coming up to Mason here. >> Yep. >> Somebody got a stick hit on >> Sergeant Marcus Booth there joining in as well here. white shirt driver. There's a passenger as well. >> Yeah, just got two uh >> two stick hits on this car. [clears throat] >> His tires are going down. He's he's coming up to Jimmy on Clyde on my way. >> Start getting towards Cedar Highland 1381. that he's going northbound. Northbound. >> So, the vehicle's right here directly in front of us. The tires are flat on it, so he he can't really Ollie. Quiet. He can't really get >> He can't really get a good good speed on it. >> Yes, sir. We just made a eastbound turn on that stick. >> Very low speed. Probably about 20 30 mph light traffic >> and maybe a northbound turn on. >> Yeah, I think I see him up there, Carl. He's coming up to he's eastbound on fifth. Oh [ __ ] No eyes. Right here. Coming back to you, Carl. On fifth. Back tire is completely down. He's going to be westbound on fifth. He's going to be coming out to where Jimmy in in a second. Tell Jimmy, >> whoever's in that tower. All right. Black male running white shirt northbound. Dog's right here. He's about to go eastbound on Big Ben. Dog's right behind you. >> You're going to get to get dog. >> Police can get back. Come on, buddy. He's still running north. Black male white shirt. >> Copy. Jump that perimeter. One north of uh beach. >> Show me your hands. Show me your hands. [screaming] Hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. Watch him, buddy. Watch him, buddy. Hands behind your back. Stay right next to you. >> Hands behind your back. >> Don't move, man. >> He's 102. Any outstanding buddy? >> Anyone else in the car? >> Any injuries? >> You all right, man? [laughter] >> Break out. >> I can't breathe. >> Yeah. Well, you can take a deep breath. >> Are you [laughter] kidding? >> Now we're doing the can't breathe thing. >> We're good, man. >> Okay. This is what you do. You don't run from the police and then you can breathe like normal. >> You can't breathe. You're talking right now and you're sitting up. He gave up. >> Almost kill people at Mason and Clyde. But no big deal, right? >> No big deal to you, right? You don't care about nobody. [snorts] >> Put the other uh >> and then I'll be on the touch. >> We're touching. We got this. >> You're going to be cursed. >> Don't touch it. It's beautiful. What's your name? >> 45. >> He looks familiar. >> Yeah. What's your name? >> [ __ ] >> Some type of necklace. >> I was giving announcements. I came around the corner and he was crying >> for his mom. >> Uhuh. >> Can you uh Hey, we're >> Look at how calm this situation is. >> It's a very calm situation. >> We do. Chris should be over there. >> One street. >> What's your name? >> North of Big Ben. >> I ain't saying [ __ ] Y'all get me [laughter] up. >> Sir, >> you chose to run. You understand that? You chose this. >> Hey, get me up. [snorts] >> Okay. >> Take me to jail. >> We're going to Don't worry. >> You got a lot of attitude. >> All right. >> No, you're not tough. You're weak. No, I'm not. >> You're weak. >> You're weak. You're weak. Walk back where [laughter] we ran from. How about that? >> Selena. >> Yeah. >> Come here, >> man. You got my hat. >> Hey, >> you good. >> Chris. >> Wayne. >> Yeah, I'm coming. >> Hey, somebody meet Noah in this back parking lot or this backyard. >> Wait, debrief them. >> What's up? debrief them. >> Okay, so we saw this vehicle initiated a traffic stop. He fled from the traffic stop, never attempted to stop. Multiple officers were able to keep eyes on him throughout the city as he fled. Am I kid? Um, multiple stick hits. I think I got a stick hit. Uh, Detective Greath, his tires went down immediately. He was only able to maintain maybe 20 30 m an hour. As soon as he realized that there were too many cops in the area and he uh he decided to flee on foot, bailed out of the vehicle. K9 was right behind him and on him. So tracked him all the way to here and we can ID him in the car two or three times. I mean he's done. He's going to go to jail for fleeing and looting and we'll check the car. >> You know, as we watch this situation as it's ending, the police and the suspect are out of breath, right? Absolutely. Everyone's got the adrenaline rush at this moment. >> You think about it when they're when they're going cold with the blue lights and siren, the adrenaline is kicking in at that point. Then, of course, when you get this guy, you're still hyped, which was a great thing. They had other officers to be able to take it from >> That's right. And and sometimes, particularly when there's a pursuit, they'll actually bring in other officers, right, to deal with a situation because the officers involved in the pursuit >> can be so amped up. >> Yeah. The adrenaline dumps and all of a sudden, you know, just a few minutes later, you get that release and you feel like you're completely exhausted cuz but honestly, there's nothing there's nothing as fulfilling as chasing and catching the right person. Yeah, >> it's great. >> Should have stopped. >> I don't know what the you talking about. First off, >> I know. >> Should have stopped. >> I know. >> You should have stopped. [ __ ] on, too. >> All right. >> It's always our fault. >> I ain't getting out though. >> Yeah. >> Closed door. Take me where you take me. >> No, you getting out. >> I ain't getting out of there. >> Listen, man. We got to search you. >> Search me when we get the station. >> No, that's not how it works. >> That's me. >> Xavier. >> You know that name, huh? >> Xavier going to the Blues County branch. >> 30 times. >> I know. You'll be there 30 times more. >> So proud of that, huh? 30 times more. >> Hey man, don't plant nothing on me, man. Y'all know y'all full of [ __ ] >> You got pl what you did to yourself. Hey, >> you touching and eluding. >> Your crystal obviously ain't giving you good luck. >> You making no good X-ray central. >> How old are you? Go ahead. 37 >> 38 >> 38 >> 38 >> Can you copy a Florida number? >> Do you still think you can run? >> Come on. >> So pleasant. >> I told you we were going to get that car tonight. >> He just went diabs. >> The sticks. >> He just went dab. >> Yeah. I'm like, "Ah, he got me." >> Valid ID card release status reference to fleeing and eluding. >> So, he's on Florida a may release for fleeing. >> Copy thing. No license. You want to throw? >> This is a I'mma put this back in the car. This actually belongs to the RO. >> Yeah. >> Damn, my glove ripped. >> Got a stinger hit on that one. back >> for some updates from last night's show. First, let's begin in Daytona Beach where officer Roger Lawson and Sergeant Marcus Booth were in pursuit of a driver who's refusing to pull over. Meanwhile, up ahead, detectives Noah Greath and Selena Quentes were waiting, getting ready to deploy stopsticks. >> Yeah, Eddie, it looked like a positive ticket coming up to Mason here. Now, we couldn't see those sticks being deployed, but we now have the footage from inside Detective Quentis's car showing her throwing down the stop sticks. >> Let's see it from that vantage point. Heads up. >> The driver eventually fled on foot. Was quickly apprehended thanks to an assist >> from K9 Ali. >> Watch him, buddy. Watch him, buddy. >> And then we heard a little tough. You're weak. >> You're weak. You're weak. You're weak. The driver, Xavier King, was charged with resisting an officer without violence, fleeing and eluding with lights siren active, and driving with a suspended license. You know, one of the things a lot of people were asking on social is whether you can reuse those stopsticks. You have to like, you know, get new ones when there's a hit. >> You have to replace them. Inside the stopstick are the spikes are hollow like a drinking straw and they stay in the tire. So once once they're hit, you have to replace that section of the stopsticks. Victor 16 central. >> Victor 16. >> Male on the stolen bicycle is west mount from the 100 block of wilder. I'm turning around on. Hit the side. >> Dog's coming. >> Don't Don't move. He's coming from my truck. >> I lost connection with my lead. >> Put your hands in the middle of your back. >> He's out here loose. >> Stay, buddy. Stay. Don't come. >> Please. >> I won't. >> What did I do? Can >> you tell me what I did? >> Said he was running towards home. I'm in an empty lot off of Palmetto. 11012 code for what I did. I copy. >> Someone go to the American in and close my car. [laughter] I think my window's open. >> Can you tell me what I did? >> Yeah. Give me >> You got any weapons on you, buddy? injured. You okay? >> Everybody's code for just old. >> Please don't. >> Yeah, I think uh my K9 announcements got him to comply. >> No, I see you whenever it's you want to search him real quick for me. The bike is in the American grave. >> Okay. >> Is it about that bike? >> Hey, what were you reaching for, bro? >> Isn't it about that bike? >> Hey, what were you reaching for back here? Cuz I was about to shoot you. >> I wasn't reaching for [ __ ] Was it a cell phone or something? >> My phone was right, >> buddy. Listen. Listen. Put yourself in my shoes. I'm chasing you when you go in the >> Yeah, cuz I was going to bite you. >> What the hell are you chasing me for, though? >> Huh? >> What you chasing me? >> We'll explain to you in a second. >> Yeah, I got the file on me. This is his. It's what he pulled out of his pocket when he's running from me. >> Well, I know. Then you didn't answer the radio, >> huh? safe. >> Yeah, I was running and this flew off, but I knew I had him dead to right here. >> That was a good run. >> So, this is the male, the stolen bicycle. I got eyes on him. >> He immediately bailed off the bike, ran from me. We're clearly law enforcement. >> I gave him uh K9 commands. >> I ordered him to stop. Uh >> boy, >> sometimes it's got to do something to get it to work. So, he's he's in custody. He's going to jail regardless. whatever comes of the bike issue cuz he ran from me. >> He was faster than I thought he'd be, but uh not fast enough. >> Don't run from Daytona. I feel bad. Some guy was coming out of his apartment almost laid him out. >> You have the right to talk to attorney and have him or her with you now or anytime during question. >> Can you tell what I did? >> Just listen to me right. >> The old fake canine tricks >> works again. >> Taking a break. It has already been a very busy night here and we are seeing lots more activity going on. We're coming right back. >> Yeah, but you ran from me when I went to stop you in the middle of the street when I can come here. >> I said can I get on the ground and come here? >> Exactly. >> So why didn't you come here? >> I can take you to Paul right now. Paul got a shirt on right now. Stolen property, right? >> Deal. He's got RA all day. >> He just sold me. >> I had lights on and everything. So I was I was screaming police the whole time I was chasing him. >> So he can go on >> Richie Mah scene of the guy who was suspected of stealing >> off his curb without biting it. >> Hey, how are you? >> All right. >> How's your night going? I'm >> all right. >> How are things? >> Good. >> I am so sorry if I scared you. >> Yeah, I felt bad. This guy was coming out of his apartment and I had to yell at him to go back inside so I lay him out by accident. >> He was not nearly as fast as I thought he'd be once we got in the field. So, he's going to jail. [sighs] [panting] Oh no, it looks like someone else picked up the trike. Hey, did anyone from PD pick up that tricycle? I think it might have been restolen from in front of my cruiser when I was chasing him. >> So, I got a Spanish speaker. >> What up, >> the tricycle's right in front where my car is at, but I chased him. I didn't stay with the the tricycle. I got him all the way down there. It looks like his bicycle got stolen again. If you want, I can go mobile and see if I can find the next guy on the bike and chase him. >> We could do this all night. So, it looks like while we were gone, the bicycle that I got out with him for being stolen was stolen from the stealer. So, now it's been stolen after being stolen. Double stolen. So, if we go mobile, we can find someone else on the bike. It's >> not their property either. So, uh see if we can get one more. >> Good collar. You guys good? >> Yeah. I lost my glasses. Oh [ __ ] >> Completely >> 45 up to 44. >> Nova and ISB. >> Coming up on track. I'll wait for you. You >> ask everybody around here. >> No, I haven't yet. But I literally just got back. >> You're the man. LT. >> Yo, the bike got stolen again. >> I know. From Do they even know where it went? >> He's Sergeant's talking to people. I pull up. He bails right here. >> You my K9 commands are what got him. 43 to central >> I'll take the trespass. >> If anyone saw them in bikes went, it's these folks right here. >> What unit was that? 46 transport for a show up from 700 South Beach Street to Wilderwood >> and he went that way and went down that way. >> What's he look like down in the >> Yeah. Yeah. >> White guy, black guy, Hispanic guy. >> That way on the back. >> White guy, black guy, Hispanic guy. >> And the black guy t-shirt. >> Black Mel with a white t-shirt got on the tricycle after the bail out. >> Did he go up Ridgewood or up the next area? Down the corner and turned down that. >> So, he's going north on Ridgewood. >> Thank you so much. >> Black male, white shirt, north on Ridgewood. We're going to go back mobile. We'll see if we can find the other guy. >> Do we ever find your property? >> Pretty good. >> Yeah. >> All right. One of the things, Master Deputy Brilan Salmon, you get in studio is a little bit of a different vantage point, right, as to watching this stuff. and you and Curtis and and I have been sitting here watching this and you've been commenting on it almost as it's been happening. You're like, "Wait a sec. Tell the audience what you've been what you've been seeing as we've been watching this." >> All right. So, uh, suspects may think they're a step ahead of us, but we always have more resources. So, um, on Lieutenant Mar's dash camera, you could see a guy soon as he took off after the suspect that ran off the tricycle, there's another guy that came and moved it. And we saw that on his dash cam. So, the suspect, like I said, they may think they have one up on us, but we always got a ram in the bush that can catch him. >> And the thing is is that it's going to show what apartment this guy goes into after he pushes the bike off to the side. So, they go back and look at it, they'll see him and then they'll also probably see him take it and ride away. >> All right. Well, we shall see. Do y'all see anybody come through here on a red tricycle? Like a bicycle but with three wheels. >> Uh, blue, sweetheart. >> You see anybody come back this way on a blue tricycle? Like a bicycle with three wheels? >> Negative. >> Oh, wait. A bike. >> Was it a Dutch frame? >> I don't know what that is. >> Little curved frame. >> No, it's got three wheels. >> Yeah, but like the frame like like you have a straight frame and it curved up. There was like a There was like a a bicycle. There was like a teal bicycle when I went that way. It was a Dutch frame. >> Well, someone someone stole the bike from a guy at the 7-Eleven. I got out with him. He ran from me. I chased him. I caught him, got him in handcuffs, and someone went right in front of my cop car and stole a three-wheeler. >> Oh, yeah. Know this guy this guy. >> So, it's so it's relen. >> So, if you see a guy on a blue three-w wheeled bicycle with two baskets, just call the cops and be like, "Hey, >> absolutely not. >> Let me show you the Dutch. >> That's That's the Dutch bike from the curve in it. >> Yeah, it's probably Dutch. >> It was teal. They were going that way towards 7-Eleven. I doubt they would have done that dumb [ __ ] >> No, I doubt they would go right back to the >> scene of the crime. >> Maybe he's an arsonist, too. The bike's on fire. >> Be safe. >> He beat his butt. No. All right, we talked about this before the break that we wanted to rerack Lieutenant Mars uh dash cam because Brillan Sammon and Curtis Wilson here were both talking about you can see what's happening, but we weren't sure what happens at the end here. So, this is the beginning part, right? This is the guy who supposedly stole it. >> He runs. This is the guy they then chase. And Master Deputy Salmon, take us through what we're going to what we're watching now. >> All right. So, you're going to see the gentleman that's standing up. >> Another guy in a white uh tank top, right? Yeah. >> He's going to make sure the coast is clear. He thinks no other cops are watching him. Little does he know, the dash cam is recording him the whole time. So, he moves the tricycle away from the front of the car a little bit. >> And that's what we saw before, right? We were talking about this. We knew he moved it, >> right? >> But we didn't have as much as we're about to show in terms of what happens next, >> right? >> Goes into this apartment. He's telling the female who lives there as well. And you can tell he must live there cuz he just walked right inside >> maybe or you know, but he definitely hasn't some oh yeah, some association with that that apartment. >> That's how we're going to be able to identify this guy. He comes back out of this apartment just moments later. >> Um >> and as you know, the other guy, he went into his own apartment. He's like, I'm not part of this. He goes inside. Now here he comes. >> Now here, this is the guy who was just sitting there again. Richie Maher is now chasing the suspect. This guy has just moved the bike and is now taking it. That's the same bike. >> Same bike. >> And your question was interesting. It was like, why is everybody stealing this bike? >> Right. What is it about this bike that everyone has to have it? >> But again, they're going to be able to identify this guy because his association. >> All right. So, again, the different vantage point we get from here. Lieutenant Maher doesn't have that in the field. Um, it was the ability of sitting here and being able to watch it. >> I'm pretty sure they're going to be able to catch him now.
