And the passenger is now driving. He's probably doing what, a hundred? The good thing is, this time of night we ain't got much traffic, but he's driving with no lights on. So, as of now, it looks like they have uh domestic in run and driving on suspended license at the minimum. And then, they would have to investigate as far as uh her being intoxicated or not, but with the time delay in her getting to her residence, it's going to be hard to prove that she was hasn't consumed anything since then. So, we want to actually know what her BAC is. So, they're going down there right now in an attempt to detain her in our fourth precinct, and then Deputy Picket will take over the rest of the investigation. The driver had fled the scene, but the victim already knew the driver's identity. So, the department put out a bolo be on the lookout. Now, after we went off air, Deputy Christian Green tracked down that driver. Her name, Nayeli Gutierrez, 23 years old, Fort Myers. She was found in possession of both crack and meth. Now facing two counts of possession of a controlled substance. This will be Nayeli's eighth arrest by Lee County deputies since 2023. A bush barn is a basically a code for a subject taking off running. Um so, we went ahead and we responded to it. When we got here, he was already in the bushes attempting to flee. Um two of our deputies went ahead and tased him and got him to the ground. Got him in custody. Um throughout the call, we also were advised that he did have a weapon with him and maybe some marijuana. So, we called for a K9. We're going to see if we can locate the marijuana. And it sound like one of the deputies just located the the gun. So, we're going to run the gun, make sure it's clean. We're going to run his information, see what he got going on, why he fled. Which we'll go from there. So, the investigation continues. >> So, the gun with >> So, it's still a little unclear as to why he fled. Uh but they will now what? Search the vehicle. They've already searched him. Probably talk to the woman who was there, try and figure out what might have been the reason. >> Yeah, run the serial number of the gun and all that good stuff. >> Yeah. In Clayton County, Georgia where a guy fled on foot from deputies there. Still unclear as to about why he fled, but that's Lieutenant Toombs. Maybe he can provide a little more information. >> So, All right. Now, since the dust has settled a little bit, everything kind of settled down. The guy who Deputy Whitson and Deputy Ronaldo went out on, he ended up having warrants for his arrest for violation of probation for vehicular homicide charge from a DUI amongst several other charges that he had. Uh he was stupid enough to run in Clayton County and he ultimately got caught. He was running with a firearm. In the middle of him fleeing through the wood line, he ditched the firearm, which was smart. And they ended up going back through the area where he was last seen prior to them taking him into custody and locating the firearm. So, all's well ends well. His girlfriend, who helped him to flee, who obstructed these two deputies, she's going to the Clayton County Jail tonight as well for simple battery, for pushing these guys, and for obstruction as well. So, they're both looking at a bunch of charges and we'll give them a nice warm place to stay tonight and give them some bologna sandwiches. >> That's probably a consistent uh treat across jurisdictions that one can get if one ends up in in jail.
