on May 20th 2023 two Auditors noticed a patrol vehicle unexpectedly speeding behind them attempting to initiate a traffic stop despite the driver maintaining the speed limit Officer Larry from the Phoenix Police Department approached them the passenger sensing the unusual situation quickly recorded the encounter flying up us here we go y there you go flying on your ass do it oh [ __ ] oh he's falling you over camera I'm going live hi sir I'm off Phoenix PD any weapons inside the car any guns knives or anything like that what's that matter huh what's that matter because during the traffic stop I can ask if there's any weapons inside the car failure to provide the truth answer to that so this is a traffic stuff aren't you asking for a driver's license saying what we did wrong said is there is there any weapons inside the car I don't answer questions okay I see your drive's license registration proof of insurance please Officer Larry took an authoritative approach skipping the usual protocol by asking about weapons in the vehicle before stating the reason for the stop when pressed for a reason he hesitated and claimed the driver was speeding adding that someone had flashed a light however the dash cam refuted the speeding allegation moreover using a flashlight from inside a vehicle is not typically a violation justifying a traffic stop officer Larry's reasons seemed questionable suggesting an unlawful detention as the Auditors asserted their rights it became apparent that Larry was displeased with their awareness and non-compliance with his unjust demands for traffic stop yeah but you sto me for what what was the traffic infraction sorry what was the traffic infraction coming North 27th Avenue and also somebody's trying to lie for me from thisam you think request to show his driver's license Larry forcefully snatched it potentially violating the fourth amendment's protection against unreason aable searches and seizures this action lacked clear necessarily hand over their license upon request despite this Officer Larry aware of the auditor's legal awareness quickly switched his justification for the traffic stop fabric ating another reason that's just hey are you okay oh yeah yeah yeah and that should have been it there shouldn't have been any demand ID and then the state law says that I just need to present it so as I'm trying to put it to the window he's reaching in here trying to get it so now we're playing [ __ ] game of tug of- War fighting for it now that's the violation of my fourth amend you guys like being on on the internet I mean we've done this flashlight [ __ ] for a year over a year now and here we are getting getting baited into it again so this detainment from the initiation is not lawful so when he realized that he should have walked away but he escalated it into violating the fourth amendment by Breaking the Barrier of the vehicle without permission and without lawful of reason to do so I mean when you realize you made a mistake this is when we walk away and we don't make it worse by us continuing to be here you've made it worse I've been filming for 18 minutes that's more than enough reasonable time to write any kind of [ __ ] ticket he was going to write so this is just an extension and a further Detention of our our detainment on our fourth amendment man this is a big deal this is a court issue like you want to you want to make it a bigger issue you want to write a ticket let's go to court let's go to court because then it becomes retaliation after you've already realized what's going on now you're continuing to push the issue so you should be like yeah you're wrong and Boogie or write your ticket and let us go the further so so hurry the [ __ ] up the auditor emphasized that extending a traffic stop beyond the required time violates constitutional rights the Supreme Court held that such an extension was a violation of the Fourth Amendment despite initial charges of speeding flashlight use and concealing license plates all of which were rebutted by the auditors the encounter was unreasonably prolonged without probable cause potentially violating the auditor's Fourth Amendment rights once again all right a second and uh part of the part of the um thing that you can uh request also you could request the transmission of my radio traffic when I told my dispatcher that I was pulling you over I also informed her that the license play was obscured so if you want to see that I'm actually telling you the truth feel free to request a copy of that and you will see that when I initiated my cod6 I told my dispatcher that I'm going to be stopping a vehicle and that I didn't have a license plate because the license plate was obscure well tell the judge is unclear whether the Auditors have initiated legal proceedings over the matter
