on October 28th 2023 a Bluefield Police Department Officer witnessed Yolanda Elliott allegedly running a red traffic signal while driving a bus the officer prompted by this initiated a traffic stop the situation quickly escalated leading to a recorded exchange on the officer's body [Music] cam did you just run the stop sign I mean stop light no it was green sir it was it was red no sir my light was green cuz I pulled out right behind my bus yeah well it was red because because when we was getting ready to turn our light was green and we had to wait on your bus to get out the middle of the road to go through it oh someone need your licens and the information to this bus bus please I see your hand go up and I was like yeah it was completely red what in the world yeah like the car in front of me tried to go but they had to wait on you to get out of the middle of intersection cuz our light was green that's why SE we the bus might have been running it too one in front of it been yellow my you're have to bear with me okay here it is but yeah my light is green that's why I never run a red light specially right there I mean it wasn't green that's thing I mean if it was green on the bridge but when you went under it it was completely red because it was it was our light was green which means your light was red for a good 5 seconds because we had to wait on you to get out of the middle intersection before our our bus I was pay I'm so sorry because I I mean the light turned green CU we stopped at the red light it was green I mean it was red when we were sitting there at the red light yeah I had to stop and then the light turned green and that's why we all went according to the relevant protocol in West Virginia it is not right for the officer to argue and debate with the other person on the contrary all he or she has to do is to do his or her job as far as the law permits him or her to do so and to end the situation without prolonging it throughout the interview Miss Elliot insists that she crossed the intersection when the light was was green the officer however insists that the light was red or at least yellow when she proceeded give me look at me real ordered my food from McDonald's too walk down again now like the officer misrepresents the situation to arriving backup possibly to avoid scrutiny Mrs Elliot initially wearing sunglasses removes them to inspect her documents however the officer falsely alleges she just put them on to conceal her eyes This falls under police misconduct defined by the US Department of Justice as a wrongdoing by an officer which can be a criminal act or a violation of departmental policies any so he'll be walking for a little while hey she gets out on this side she gets out on this side be copy ell come here and officer decides to escalate the situation by having her take another test the finger to nose test during this test the officer looks for Clues indicating intoxication such as inability to follow instructions swaying eyelid or body Tremors speaking during the test and failing to touch the finger to the nose exhibiting several of these Clues could lead to an arrest thing have you do is called the finger and nose test okay like I said you going keep you feet together I heard about this one there you go well what you know about it kind of sorted like that you ain't going to put your arms out you go to bed it was about 8:30 what time how long I didn't go to sleep uh I was still awake at about you took the Ambi and didn't go to sleep no I didn't go to sleep last night I just couldn't go to sleep I was TOs and turning did you take any of it this morning no no I didn't take nothing this morning I had you don't care if I look no I don't care want you do me me a favor and just sit right here on this curb right here for me okay hey I'm going to come get you in a minute I need you to uh cff um man yeah yeah um she is possibly going to jail for DUI really yeah so she takes ambum and perets and she said she took the perets last night she said I she told me 8:30 first then she said that she couldn't Bally she was like around late last night so um I'll talk to my sergeant I'll see what he wants to do we're uh we're pretty short staff today so um she uh there might be a chance that she gets to go home today uh there's a good chance that she might go home today and she'll have a warrant for DUI um but I'm going to see if she'll go do a uh a blood draw at the uh at the hospital okay we'll get her blood and then uh we'll have that sent off to state police crime lab you going placed under arrest for the DUI okay do what yes ma'am the confidentiality of medical records is a privacy Cornerstone with West Virginia law restricting access without explicit permission the officer breached this by revealing Mrs Elliot's medication details violating her rights secondly the officer manipulated the truth by informing Mrs Elliot's employer of alleged dishonesty about medication timing constituting police misconduct with potential serious consequences for her personal and professional life so I'm going to give you an option um we can go to the uh the hospital and we can have arrest despite a negative blood test the charge was dropped due to lack of evidence but she paid a fine for a traffic violation she lost her job influenced by the officer's comments now she's taking legal action against the Bluefield Police Department for wrongful arrest and plans to sue the city for unjust dismissal no further updates are available as of now on June 28th 2023 Matthew Wilson a business owner was pulled over by a Broomfield Police Department Officer for expired tags despite complying with the initial request the officer later asked him to step out alleging narcotics possession Mr Wilson feeling racially Pro filed refused backup was called and the encounter was recorded on Mr Wilson's phone and the officer's body cam okay uh these officers are pulling me over they said it was a tag now they're saying that I have drugs I have no drugs I'm a business owner I'm late to pick up my wife now they're trying to tell me that I have to step out I haven't committed a crime this is Matthew Wilson uh CEO of addictive culture entertainment I'm going to pick up my wife I got pulled over cited by these officers saying my tag now they're pulling me over talking about they want me to get out no crime has been committed and they have Reasonable articulable Suspicion by constitutional law that I have to have in my car and they are therefore allowed to do a search on my car now I've told you that I have no in the car I've told you that I'm not getting out the car because I know know the law I haven't committed a crime if you want to violate my rights further I traffic stop by claiming Mr Wilson was being followed by drug detectives who relayed information however the actual reason for the Stop was a license plate violation when Mr Wilson resisted having his rights violated the officer fabricated a drug story in Colorado traffic stops require Reasonable Suspicion not probable cause although the expired tags justifi the initial stop it doesn't permit the officer to violate rights by forcing Mr Wilson to step out and search his vehicle I've asked him to call his supervisor everybody you want to go back and say wants my supervisor I don't I've already the police and the case is still pending on July 27th 2023 an auditor recorded himself on public property in Jacksonville Texas he drove past the Jacksonville police department and stayed for several minutes entering the parking lot as he walked along a sidewalk a law enforcement patrol car suddenly stopped next to him the entire incident was captured on the auditor's camera stop right there back detain and search individuals if there's a reasonable suspicion of being armed Med the auditor's actions didn't warrant such suspicion he was illegally searched violating his fourth amendment rights the officers laughed when he requested to be left alone highlighting the absurdity of the detainment the sheriff's office here okay we got a complaint CU find out what's going on I come up to talk to officer vam implied they were speaking to the auditor because he appeared suspicious it's crucial to note that mere suspicion is not a crime anyone can act in a way that seems suspicious in public and high-powered police can be
