Rodriguez of the New Mexico police department stopped a silver car for going 92 mph in a 75 mph Zone at first it seemed like a simple traffic stop but what he was about to discover would change CH the while you guys were in G we at a hotel and my cousin there's like these trailers I don't really know what IR is but like so there's the middle exit Okay we St up the holiday in holiday in Holiday yeah okay and uh was your mom with you the entire time she's been with me she's been with you this entire time okay and you haven't smoked any marijuana yeah cuz you just showed me the THC no yeah like we marijuana car so technically do you have a medical marijuana car no I don't smoke like I haven't I smoke but like I haven't been able so so just based off that smell I'm going to be searching the car okay is there anything illegal in the car no like what's it called um like she has a medical marijuana C so like technically off search right I'm sorry she has a medical marijuana cart so like so yeah that that okay yeah that's fine she has a medical marijuana card but the car still smells like it and you're in possession of the car you know what I mean yeah I know but like so like I said I'm going to search the car is there anything illegal in the car and then you don't have any weapons on you or anything like that no okay so I'm going to have you also go here to the side not as far as him you can probably hang out right here where it kind of opens up with the weeds I can't sit in the car the heat I'm sorry the heat you if you want I can let you sit in the back of my car uh and I'll leave the door open so you could step out at any time you get in and get out I I'll step okay I'm searching the vehicle I don't need permission like I like I was explaining to you I have probable cause to search the [Music] vehicle [Music] k96 Tim for can you get uh me another unit I'm going to be searching this vehicle off a PC search [Music] at stay back over there buddy stay back over there stay back over there I'm sorry no I don't you no I don't yes you do no I don't that's true no I don't yes you do I'm a task force officer with hom L security as a federal agency I have probable cause to search a car what's the yes I do k96 come do you have a lagona unit close can I phone no the mother and son worried about the revelations began to say that the police needed a warrant for the search but the police had a valid reason for the search after that officer Rodriguez started talking to Dolores while waiting for backup so like I said I I showed you my credentials and everything I'm a task force officer with Homeland Security okay I'm not messing around with you I know you're not but I don't understand what So based on the odor okay so listen okay listen to me so be up front with me is there anything illegal not that I know of know there shouldn't be yeah I went to Arizona and I had him come pick me up because I went down there with a boyfriend who you went with him I went with a boyfriend who I I'm covered in bruises right now and I just wanted to go home I had him me up look if there's anything in the car I can help you guys out you know what I mean I don't know what you mean like what do you mean if there's anything there in there that's not supposed to be in there you know what I mean so locked backpack in the back probably Dr as soon as I go into it they Sur do after receiving the necessary instructions from Homeland Security they moved the car to a different location for a more thorough search the search yielded 160,000 fentanyl pills 1 kgam of heroin two Glocks and a jar of marijuana it was later learned that Cena and her mother Dolores would receive $20,000 for transporting these items if you think this case is interesting enough you are wrong try to [ __ ] with do you understand how how this looks right that's sir after his behavior and the smell coming from inside the police were sure that he was hiding something cont with j j j isting that her boyfriend I think if you shimmy it in the right we could be able to just pull it out while one of the policemen was checking inside the other was keeping an eye on the man who was behaving strangely the man's demeanor was as if he knew the end was coming I understand you're going to tell me you didn't know Mom was in there now got a whole big isue call 400 and have me come out here 431 of 400 the police arrested the man who said he did not know where his mother was after what he had seen after that the interrogation began 47400 I'm going to need to come out here just going to read saw himad mad it wasn't bad it wasn't bad how was between Mom and Dad did they talk um the only thing I knew is she told at that point in time when she got home she told me and him both to leave so I left and went walking somewhere and stayed away do you know where Dad is at currently yes do you know if Dad has a job no sir and you haven't talked to Dad since that night yes sir that night okay well I guess he got arrested that's what I heard and you last you didn't get arrested okay and then your and Mom's relationship has been good as of as of late yeah did you notice anything different while you've been staying here did that raise any alarm to you did you go and check I mean I did kind of look in there see I guess I should so you saw her in the position that she's currently in now so why did you tell us that Mom wasn't there you know better than me I wasn't the one that did it so sir cuz I smelt her before you ever even came outside then you telling me mom's not in there and you know damn well that she was in there yes sir and lying to me so why wouldn't you just tell us the truth we told you from the beginning we weren't there for you we just wanted to make sure Mom and mom was good yeah that's all so what prompted you to lie to us and you um when you went in there and checked on her two days ago did you know that she was deceased I say so okay but was it apparently obvious to you that yes sir somebody smelling like that wouldn't be somebody so why didn't you call law enforcement when you found her deceased you don't know okay any idea why she is deceased what could have happened no the man was sentenced to 63 days in prison for not reporting the death to the authorities unfortunately the information about the autopsy on the woman's death remains unclear as
