oh they ran welcome back to body cam Zone around 7pm on September 1 2021 Michigan State Troopers saw a stolen Dodge Challenger driving east on I-94 near Stevensville in Berrien County the Troopers tried to pull the car over but the driver refused to stop and hence a car chase began before we continue let me give special thanks to 5-0 Patrol for sharing this video on their YouTube channel [Music] traffic yeah I need to take over from me [Music] [Music] that are still available right now 35. 35.95 all right now being criminals it's no surprise that the two thieves had no regard for Public Safety by speeding thereby endangering the lives of others at one point it looked like the thieves had escaped however the driver met his Waterloo when he crashed while trying to speed through a corner after the crash the two guys fled before the police arrived at the scene all right he crashed out 39 crashed out here [Music] call him shortly you guys need me to stop trying to get the third night roll over oh they ran according to the Michigan penal code section 750.479 A subsection 1 an operator of a motor vehicle or vessel who was given by hand voice emergency light or siren a visual or audible signal by a police or conservation officer acting in the lawful performance of his or her Duty directing the operator to bring his or her motor vehicle or vessel to a stop shall not willfully fail to obey that direction by increasing the speed of the vehicle or vessel extinguishing the lights of the vehicle or vessel or otherwise attempting to flee or elude the police or conservation officer if this violation results in a collision or accident the offender is guilty of third degree fleeing and eluding a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than five years or a fine of not more than five thousand dollars or both these thieves were later caught a short distance away from the crash site they were later identified as 20 year old men from Kalamazoo do they call it out there I think it's City guys I don't think it's five months like that I don't think they have five the left right here yep 375 the advice all right what is this place no problem gloves hey Michigan classifies auto theft as a serious crime as seen in Michigan penal code section 750.413 any person who shall willfully and without Authority take possession of and drive or take away and any person who shall assist in or be a party to such taking possession driving or taking away of any motor vehicle belonging to another shall be guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than five years the two guys were later charged with fleeing and eluding resisting and obstructing police officers possession of a stolen vehicle and minor in possession of marijuana well that's all concerning this video before you go check out this video where there's Tick Tock activist guy so drunk she slept off at a red light thanks for watching
