I wanted to watch this video because the trial is about to start soon. It was originally slated for August 2024, but it has been pushed and it is coming up soon. This was a very popular case. Um, it was Alexi Traiso. While she was in the hospital, she threw her baby in the garbage can and the police actually found out uh because I believe a nurse called. So, I have not seen this one before. I know lots of you guys have, but I just kind of want to be up to date before the trial starts. Um, because I don't know very much about this at all other than some of the updates I've seen. Um, okay. So, uh, as you may understand, we will not be saying best of body cam today. I didn't know what to do. Lexi, I told you about this. You are detained. You are not free to leave at this point. Do you understand that? Yes, sir. How big is it? It's full term. What? Oh my god. Um, so we started working her up. Um, we did a pregnancy test on her, showed positive. She was denying that she had sex. Um, then she said she had to go to the bathroom. She went to the bathroom. She was in there for quite a while. We kept knocking on the door. Finally, we got her to open the door and there was blood everywhere. She was cleaning it up. So, we took her back to the room and I was afraid that she knew she was pregnant. She had done something to herself. Mhm. Um, so the doctor started doing exam on her. We had the lady come to clean the bathroom. She put the baby in the trash can and then she put another clean liner over the top of it. Oh my god. So they look when they looked in there, it looked there was no trash in there, but it was underneath the clean bag. The baby's dead. Okay. We have them in Toronto, too. But she killed the kid. Yeah. How old was How old was the baby? I don't know. It's full term. She just had it. She had it in the bathroom was what happened. And then she whatever she did, I don't know if she's going to lie. She wouldn't even tell us she's pregnant. She's been lying the whole time. Okay, so she came into the hospital clearly pregnant. The nurses or doctors knew she was pregnant. Maybe the mom is like question mark. Maybe the mom does know that she's pregnant, but she was totally in denial of it. Refused a pregnancy test and then went in the bathroom and tried to put a full-term baby in the trash. So that's what's going on. Um, I just pulled the doctor out of the room, so nothing's been said to the patient or the mother that's in there yet. Okay. Um, I have Leela, the housekeeper. If you want to interview her, she's the one that kind of found because I wanted to get with you guys first and then get with her to get her statement before I even do anything. Well, I'm the charge and this is what has happened. You can interview the nurse that had her, okay? The two nurses that were taking care of her. You can talk to the tech, which is Lori. She's the one that went in there and actually found it because Leo's like, "This is really heavy." Okay. So then, uh, Lori went in there and then of course the baby was underneath the red the clean liner. Okay. Yeah, we can if we can speak with Lori. I can't imagine how the nurses were feeling with this because they probably just thought it was the case of some kid not wanting to tell their mom that they had had intercourse. And then in a place where they're trying to save lives every day, this is what she did. So officers, the first thing though is I need to make sure that the the mother, the woman who delivered the baby is medically stable. Um I don't know if she's delivered a placenta. She's bleeding a lot. I just got her accepted to loveless. So I need to get her up there as soon as possible. Okay. Okay. So how I need to tell her what's going on and I need to tell the mother what's going The mother. They're both in there together. Do would is one of you willing to be be present for that conversation? You guys go in. Okay, let's go in right now. Oh my god, this is like a scary situation to go into. Like they even said it in their briefing before they go in to talk to this girl and her mom like we know she's going to lie, but we know that this is what happened. Oh no. talk. I'm sorry, but we discovered a dead baby in the bathroom. Oh my gosh. I'm sorry. He came out of me and I didn't know what to do. Lexi, I told you about this. Whoa. I just asked you, baby, to tell me the truth. Scared. Why does it sound like the mom is trying to cut her off from saying too much? That feels like a com to me. That just felt like a combination of shock but also stop talking. Uh that was odd to me was not crying or What did you do to it? Okay, stop right here. Number one priority, guys. Number one priority is she just had a baby. I don't know if she's delivered the placenta. She's bleeding significantly. I was talking to the obstatrician at Loveless. They want her up there as soon as possible. Okay. I need I need your I obviously need your permission to transfer her for medical. She is She's 19. Oh, you're right. You need But she is a student, too. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Cuz Hold on. I Excuse me. I digress. It does not matter that she's a student. She's 19 years old. At first, I was kind of feeling like, wow, this must be really horrible for the mom. I'm getting some strange flags here. I don't think I wonder if she kind of knew that her daughter was pregnant, but she just didn't want to admit it to herself and now we're like in this weird scenario. But I just have to say I really like how the doctor is just being straight up. You did this. We're not going to talk about the bad parts of it right now. We need to help you. So, would you like us to do that? Let's go. Love the way the doctor's handling it. But you need to for to make sure that you're safe, I need to send you to love list to labor delivery. Will you please agree to that? Yes. Yes. Great. I'm gonna work on that. Um, in terms I'm sorry about this, but in terms of delivering um a baby, somebody said you could see she was pregnant in the cheer outfit from high school. Okay, sorry. I have to look this up. That looks like pregnancy to me. Um, it also seems like Alexi has compartmentalized this issue so much in her own brain. she's minimized it that she thinks that everybody else is just going to go along with how she's minimized it. Like if you if you are in your true uniform like this and you're like, "What? No, I'm not pregnant." People are going to think you're dulu and not the good kind. Will you please agree to that? Yes. Yes. Great. I'm going to work on that. Um, in terms I'm sorry about this, but in terms of delivering um, a baby and it looked like you tried to hide it. We do have to have the police involved. And nothing was crying. That doesn't I know. I know. But the the baby's going to have to be taken for autopsy and, you know, be an investigator and everything. I'm really sorry, guys. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, but we need to do this correctly. Um, and I want to be transparent with you. Even the mom used a little bit of distancing language earlier, too. Officer, do you need to do you guys need to talk to her before we get her transferred? Hell yeah. How long is it going to be before you have the transfer? I don't know. What were you working on? Okay. Maria, do you think 20, 30 minutes? Yeah, hopefully. Okay. I got I got detectives on the way, so they're going to be talking for Okay. Thank you. Do you guys have I'm the charge nurse here. Do you guys have any questions for me? Like how big is the baby? It's full term. Eight times. What? Nine months. Was crying. Lexi, have you watched the news of the girls that what they do to their babies and what they go to jail? I feel like you knew but you didn't want to address it. This is like this feels like some mother daughter like compartmentalization like disassociative traits that both of them are just like yeah no and maybe she didn't want her 19-year-old to have a baby so she was just hoping that this wasn't true. This is Dude, this is a mom nightmare, but this is I just feel like uh and you know, maybe I'm just projecting how I would react to being in this situation if I was like a mom, which of course is different for everybody, but I would be very upset with my child right now. I would be very upset. I'd be asking a lot of questions. And I just noticed that the mom used some distancing language when she was talking about the child. Um, yeah. I don't I think this is the girls. Okay, you guys see it, too. Okay, Lexi, have you watched the news of pe the girls that what they do to their babies and what they go to jail? I was crying. Any any any other questions? Okay. Right. So, as of right now, like like what I said is we're going to have the detectives come over here and they're going to talk to you. Okay. We have to gather some more information about what's what's going on. They'll get your statement. They're going to get the doctor statements. They're going to get everybody's statements. Okay? So, I don't know everything yet, okay? So, I'm not going to tell you. I can't tell you nothing, honestly. Okay? All I can say is going to go to jail right now. Dude, what? Somebody in chat said, "There's no way you didn't notice your daughter was that pregnant for 9 months." I totally agree with that. But I'm saying they have some type of shared disassociative trait. Of course, your parents your parents will pass on their poor defense mechanisms to you um a lot of times and it will be like the really subtle things, but both of them seem to just be hoping that this really serious thing is just going to go away if they don't think about it too hard. to the point that she just had the baby in the bathroom. And what a what a traumatic event to deliver a child by herself at 19 in the bathroom. This trait of hers uh to separate herself from reality and compartmentalize and protect herself is so strong that she did that and then got back in this gurnie. Right now she say she's not going to go to jail. Right now she No. Well, right now she's being detained. So she she's not going to leave from here at all. Period. Okay. So, one of us will be Is she in your custody? Yeah, she's detained. Yeah. She's not under arrest, but she is detained. Okay. She's not free to leave. So, while this whole thing is coming up is you're not free to leave. Okay. One of us will be in here the whole time with you cuz you're not going to try to leave or nothing like that. Sure. Like I said, the detectives will be here. They're going to talk to you. I mean, your care is of of the utmost right now. Okay. They're going to do what they need to do to take care of you to make sure you get stable. They get you transferred out or whatever. Like I said, the detectives already been notified. They're already on the way, so they're going to come talk to you. All right? So, don't leave. Don't try to do nothing. One of us is always going to be in here in this room with you, okay? Unless we have to step out for doctor's orders or something like that because if they need to examine you or do something with you, but other than that, like I said, you are detained. You are not free to leave at this point. Do you understand that? Yes, sir. Okay. Where was the baby at? I don't know. I have no clue. She Okay. Let me Let me just let it play. Let me just let it play. Okay. Where was the baby at? I don't know. I have no clue yet. Like I said, I just talked to the charge nurse. We're still getting all the information right now. Okay. Okay. Um once we get that information, like I said, the detectives, they can clue you in on everything and talk to you more about it. Okay. All right. Um, do you happen to have an ID on? Yes, she does. Can we get that? Lee Tamman said, "Wait, did she murder her baby or was it still born?" And they are just investigating. She put a baby in the trash can. Nobody knows if it was alive or dead at the time. She just claims that the baby wasn't breathing at the time. And then she didn't tell anybody and she put a piece of trash on top of the baby and then she went back into the hospital room like nothing happened. So you tell me what that is. Can we get that first? [Applause] all the information call not on radio. Okay. I also I just have to say that's a really scary trait that you can just have a human being in the bathroom literally go through labor by yourself. No epidural, no nothing. Have the baby on your own and then just walk back in the room like that. Like that's a scary trait. Like what else can you do with no conscience? Really disturbing honestly. Hang right here. I'll be back. Oh m could we get your ID please? You have anything? Sorry. [Music] Can I step out? I'm going to call my husband. Yes. Um, yeah. You'll be fine. I'll be back. Where did you put the baby? Yeah. Tell me the truth. Uh, 517. Oh, wait. You put it in the back. Yes. Yeah. And what bag? Why did you say anything to us? Do you want to get in trouble for this now? You couldn't get in trouble for this. Mom, just give it time. Okay. Speak to detectives whenever she's ready. Okay. Yeah, cuz because I was I was about to say, did she not want her to talk that much? She But she just had her admit a whole lot on camera. That seemed like mom was just mad right there. As of right now, I I cannot allow your mom to be here with you. Okay. So, Once the detectives get here, then she may be able to come back in here. But as of right now, I can't allow her to be back in here. Okay? If you need something, we we're not going to stay in here, okay? Cuz I think it makes it worse that you're here. All right? Obviously, and I know you're scared. So, what we're going to do is we're going to stay on the outside of the door, okay? As long as you promise me you're not, you know, you're not going to hurt yourself. Okay? Like I said, this is a lot. I know it is. Okay? you're young, you know, I don't want to being here kind of adding to to your anxiety and everything else. Okay. Wait, I think this is an interesting one. Toad's library said, "What I think I'm getting from the mom or sorry, what I'm getting from the mom is she thinks that if she takes charge of the situation, she'll just get to ground her kid and get it over with. I don't think that she's seeing this as her daughter put a baby in the trash." I I agree with that. And it goes back to that like extreme minimization and compartmentalization trait that they have inside of their brains, but they're not realizing what this looks like to the outside world. But I I would agree with your thought. Okay. So, as soon as they get here, they're going to talk to you. I mean, the reason why here your mom Well, not yet. I can't yet. So, when they get here? Yeah. Once they get here, then it's up to the come back here. If they're okay with her coming back here, then Okay. The reason why is because you're an adult. You're 19 years old. If you're a juvenile, she I would gladly have. Okay. If you have any questions, push that. Can I sign for? Yeah. [Applause] This is giving us permission for you to take. you sign here. No, I you know, sorry that I have to go back to this again, but this like act of like just being so like well, I mean, I guess it's not an act, but I don't know, just the the like real quietness from her when she just had the resilience to like have a baby in the bathroom and now she's like back to being a scared teen. But I have no idea what her demeanor was like before this. Maybe she was really traumatized after the birth or something. But I mean this is just you. Everyone everyone knows that you don't do that. If you are pregnant and you are in a hospital, you're in the right place. You're in the correct place. Everyone knows that. There's no debate here. She's still in there. She's going to get haired out. there for cuz she steal whatever she's got going on. Whatever. They're going to track her out. Um the housekeeper. Yes, Smiley. This is what I'm talking about. Smiley said she compartmentalized so hard that she overlooked normal pregnancy feelings for 9 months. Can't imagine ignoring my body like that for that long. Yes, man. This girl's disassociative super numbing is potent. It is strong and man I I mean that you can forget memories. I've told y'all I've like completely forgotten traumatizing memories before because the brain is the brain is really impressive when we simply cannot handle certain things. It will protect us at all costs. Um it's like you guys ever heard like I want a computer. What is it? Is it the processor or the motherboard? If the computer is about to die or something like that, it's like the processor will protect itself at all costs. That's like what the brain is like. If you can't handle certain events or certain emotions or something, the brain will just protect you until you're ready to like figure it out. But her compartmentalization is on another plane. Excuse me. I'll stay on this way. Yeah, you know, this video is really interesting. I have to say this is like one of the darkest true crime videos I feel like I've ever seen because like everyone on staff and the police have to kind of act a certain way to just move things along. Also, she's, you know, 19. She's very young. This is very serious. It's like I but it's just like the undertones of it are like a lot, you know? And I I mean I know it's true crime, but this is a big one. And the trial is coming. Oh, they got her getting on the plane. This going to be expensive. I'm just saying. What is that? $40,000 helicopter ride. How far they got to go? Yeah, those going to be expensive. Your current street address? Yes, sir. Okay. All right. They'll be in contact with you. Okay. Yes, sir. Excuse me. It's roomier than it looks for me. Not for these guys. I don't know. All right. There's a part two. I'll bring her out. Just tell me what's going on. I will give it to her whenever. Can I see? She can see the warrant before she gets arrested. This is my house. I have a right to see the warrant. I'm letting you know she has a warrant for her arrest. We have a search warrant for your house. We have a warrant for her arrest. Okay. Do we see the warrant? Yeah. Once we She gets to the copy, too. Can I go up there when you take her up there? You can go to the detention. Do you know where it is? Everything. Oh, man. I understand wanting to protect your kid, but the the the gravity of the situation. Okay. So, what is she under arrest for? She's overur I understand that, Detective Gonzalez. What is she under arrest for? She has warrant arrest. Okay. For what? That's all I'm telling you. Okay. What do you mean that's all you're going to tell me? I'm She's over there. I understand that, but I I have a right to know as well. We'll tell you that. But we Okay, let me know. You have the right to know. Let me know now. I'm giving you the corporation. I told you everything. Answer my question. What is she under arrest for? Like she's over the age of 18. Like that's not that is that we can't What are What is she under arrest for? We'll tell you right now. No, I'm not bringing her out here yet. Let me know when she's underestimated regardless. I mean for what? For what? Who she's asking? For what? Are you okay to tell her? Yeah. Go ahead. Tell me. Open count of homicide and tampering with evidence. Tampering with evidence? Yes. At the hospital? Yes. The baby. So, can you see her now? Give me a minute. I'm tampering with I mean, she's lucky that they're not saying abuse of a corpse right now. Like that. She knows exactly what happened. Okay. Yo, and you know, just to just to give you the the severity of the situation, let's say that you made friends with somebody and you don't know them for very long. You only know them for about a month, okay? But let's say you've hung out two or three times and they seem pretty cool and then you find out that at one point in their life they put they put a newborn baby in a trash can and let it die. It doesn't matter what bond you've had with this person, what conversations you've had, anything. I mean, that is uh that is world view changing. That is shock. None of you guys would ever talk to that person again. It's like you're like that is there. I have no room for empathy here. There's no nothing. Like something is wrong with you. For my own peace, I must go. I have a right to see a warrant. It doesn't matter if she's over the age of 18. This is my house. You have a right. You have to show me that warrant. If we were searching under arrest, you have you have to show me the warrant. up to her. Hey, I have I have the detectives here. Um they want to arrest my daughter. They're saying um they have a warrant, but they can't show me a warrant. Y'all got all these crosses up here. Y'all y'all don't know. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not defend murderers. Thou shalt be a good mother or some I don't know. It might be in the commandments. I'm sure that they tried to add that in there, but they were like, "We don't need this one. Let's just stick with 10." And it's up to her. Can I see the warrant? No, it's an arrest warrant for her. It's not a search warrant. I want to see the arrest warrant. And what will that prove? Yeah, that's so true. The minute they pull out an arrest warrant, she's going to be like, "Well, this is invalid cuz of this, this is this this doesn't even count. You can't use it." Like, okay, you bet. When this is over, I'm coming for the police department and the hospital. Yes, ma'am. It's wild how often people choose stress over accountability. Um, shocking. Accountability actually probably only takes about less than 20 seconds. You say it and then the emotions go through you. You sit with it if you add a little bit of bad behavior and you say, "Okay, what what do we do next?" But people love to choose stress. They're like, "Let's let's stretch this out. I'm going to make you fight for this accountability." Well, you can live in that mental prison. That is the policy. I will give it to you. I mean, it's nothing personal. It really is. And we understand, but we have to do our jobs, too. Understand that this That's That's Melanie. That's Devon's Deon's mom. She's She's good. She's okay. We're not going to be rough with her or anything. We're just going to take her over there and book. Please don't be rough with her, please. Just bring her out. You can be with her the entire time. handle. Yo, she was hand on hip about 30 seconds ago. See, this is how quickly the compartmentalization fails when somebody opens the box. If they know the box is there, they can open it whenever they want. And this this method really doesn't work for long. Public sage complex is 32 West Main. You can follow us over there. I will take you there. You can follow me. As soon as we I release the pillow complaint to her, she can then give it to you there. Okay. When can I get like her bond? What that's set up by the judge as your judge. Yeah, they probably called the attorney. She probably called her attorney and her attorney said, "Please go without issue. You are already in hot water, sister." What's your name? Alexi. Okay. What's for your social? She don't even know it. I was about to pause. I was like, y'all believe that? Alexa, do you know your date of birth? Yes. Okay. What is it? 11:25. Yeah. Do you have to walk around the way over there? Can you bring it up here, please? It's up to you. That's all. I'll go get it. Alexi, are you okay with your mom getting your tal complaint when we get to the detention center? It has your personal information on it. Repeat that. Do you want Are you okay with your mother getting the criminal complaint? It has your personal identifying information on it. Serial number, date of birth. Yes. Are you okay? Yes. Okay. Got it. Um I have to serve you first, then your mom can get it. Okay. Okay. Hi, dude. He's gonna move his unit around. Dude, the other thing is too, you guys already know they are only going to give this girl a couple years. They are I like if you've seen a lot of cases before, you know, it's it's probably going to be they're going to say eight, nine, something like that, and then something's going to happen and it's going to get dwindled down to like three or four or something. And it's like, bro, if you for what you did, if you were only going to jail for like three, four, five years, you're 19. Go sitting there. See you later. Like, and I'm not saying that that is a justified amount of time, per se, but that's what's gonna happen. Like, just go in there. Say no. Okay. She has still been um like bleeding, so I don't know if she needs Do you have any They do I don't know if they have tampons. Why do you want to? Okay. Okay. But I I thought she was trying to stall it and ask for medical. Can she do you want to grab some Can she grab some of that real quick or do you mind if Get your little bag. One of those. Go ahead. Go ahead. Just making sure you're doing okay. And just nothing sharp, no flammables, nothing sharp. Okay. Okay. They're going to check it when you get over there. Okay. Okay. Okay. Now check those same thing. Okay. We're going to check all that when you get over there. Okay. Thank you. I'm going up there right now, too. Okay. All right. What's in there? Personal pads. Personal pads. Yeah, she needs She needs them. West Main Street, the public safety complex. If you just go through the front door. I can't do anything except just scare
