On August 21st, 2025, deputies were called to an airport after reports of a passenger becoming hostile and cursing at employees. What starts as a disturbance inside the terminal quickly puts deputies in a situation where they have to figure out exactly what's going on and whether this passenger is willing to cooperate. The breakdown starts now. >> So, I think you guys just went by. They went that way. But the the male the guy in the >> Oh, it's not there. >> Yeah, they went over there. >> I don't I don't think our supervisor is going to let him fly. >> What gate is it? >> C6. Uh the gate. >> At this point, the officers have information from the employees, but they still need to hear from the passenger directly. This first contact gives them a chance to assess his demeanor, get his side of the story, and determine what response is appropriate. >> Chris, Chris, what's your name you got to name? >> Christopher Chin. >> Yeah. >> Okay, Christopher. So, you just can't fly with them today. >> Why? Why not? >> Because of the behavior at the counter. >> Okay. Understand that it's like, all right, I the only thing I caught him on the loop. >> No, they told me that he caught them more than that. and >> all right whatever he said but you could see my you could see my stuff I did not like I said he was acting funny officer was officer then was >> all I called him was a loser and you could like I said he did that to me >> all right so like so you got to talk to them >> you're not fine I have to tell you not going >> we're already told >> it's it's their choice >> having the employee deliver that decision makes it clear this is the airlines call while the officers can focus on how the man responds his reluctance to accept it now becomes important because officers need to determine whether he'll leave voluntarily or require further direction. >> You said you're flying. >> No. No. We >> want to get in trouble with your job. >> Go ahead, ma'am. >> Fight with us. >> That's a problem for you. >> You know, it's not a >> you're flying and you're not. >> But you see what I got here, man. Like he's a policeman. So what? >> I don't know. What do y'all want me to do? That's my bag. Yeah. So y'all just want me to take my bag and I'm out. Whatever. >> What? You just get back and you're not flying. You want to get rebooked. Maybe the guy can rebook it for tomorrow or you can try. >> He needs to refigure out how I'm supposed to get. Yo, like I said, I have my kids downstairs on that flight on that flight. >> They deny your boarding, Chris. That's it. Simple. >> They denied your boarding. >> So, call your wife and tell her you ain't coming. >> I'm asking you. You're not going. >> The officers are keeping the message consistent. The decision about the flight isn't being renegotiated. That repetition gives him a clear opportunity to accept the situation voluntarily while officers keep the conversation focused on getting him to leave. >> Now you know he lying. I called you a loser. That was it. >> And I got it on recording. >> What started the argument from the getgo? >> So they were mad. >> You see, >> let it talk. Let it talk. >> Yo yo grab [ __ ] out of my hands. That'll be a problem for you. >> But what happened? sign. >> I know you keep telling me that and I keep saying that but you ain't acting like one. >> Yo, you see how he lying, right? First of all, I called him a pig, right? >> I'm a pig, right? Am I a pig? Are you a pig? Who's a pig here? >> I look like a pig. >> All right, but I'm definitely a pig if if we if we talking about pigs cuz I told you I'm a cop, right? >> Yo, y'all are y'all are abs y'all absolutely outrage. This is how y'all run your department here? >> Cuz of his word. And like I said, like I said, he called me a pig, too. >> The officers are trying to sort out how this situation started, but his constant interruptions make it difficult to get a clear account. His argumentative behavior toward the employee also gives them a chance to evaluate the same demeanor that may have contributed to the original complaint. >> I'm going to I'm going to complain about everything here, man. YO. YO, THIS IS US, RIGHT? >> NO, but y know. >> No, it's about y'all, TOO, SON. >> YO, DOG. ALL Y'ALL GOT TO DO is just shut the hell up and just bring me downstairs. Bring me outside now. >> Like, yo, that's crazy. >> Get your bag. >> Get the bag. Let's go outside. >> That's crazy as And I swear to God. Yo, this is some wild ass. >> It looks like the officers may finally be getting voluntary cooperation, which is significant after the repeated arguing. If he follows through and leaves, they can resolve the immediate problem without having to take a more hands-on approach. Yeah, it's all good. It's all good. Well, not here. Yo, no, no, no. It's all good. >> I need my [ __ ] back, man. >> What do you want to do with the fam? What do you want to do with your wife? >> I don't GIVE A YO, REAL TALK. THIS IS WHAT? YO, real talk. >> All y'all mother want to go to jail, but this >> You know I'm not You know I'm not going to jail, man. You don't run. You don't run like nothing. >> How I He said he called me a pig, son. I did not go in there and do nothing crazy. >> The bag was overweight. All I said was like, "Yo, I was like, "You can't let that go." And he was like, "Nah, >> man. Pay for it. When I find out my bag, I just pay for it." The people >> THE KIDS THAT I HAVE TO leave alone WHEN I'M GETTING SHOT AT AND Y'ALL KNOW IS GOING TO BE DOING THIS. >> Getting him outside addresses the immediate issue inside the terminal, but his continued arguing shows he still hasn't fully accepted the direction he's been given. For the officers, the priority now is keeping him moving and avoiding another prolonged debate that prevents them from resolving the call. >> You got kids, RIGHT? AND YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW WHAT WE DOING, RIGHT? >> PAY YOUR BILLS, TOO. I PAY MY BILLS. >> I WILL. I WILL PAY MY BILLS. >> SCARE NOBODY. >> AIN'T NOBODY SCARING NOBODY. >> OKAY. ALL RIGHT. YOU KNOW I AIN'T SCARING NOBODY. >> OKAY. >> All right. I ain't nobody scaring nobody. >> Calm down. >> That's crazy. >> All I had to do All I had to do was this. I was already in the freaking gate to get there and y'all just took me upstairs. >> You weren't going to go. You weren't going to go. >> You're not [ __ ] >> Right. So, it's it's it's a very big discrimination part about me. Right. >> Discriminate against you on the ground. >> I don't know because I didn't say nothing. You you didn't you didn't get anything up. You just said straight up get off the flight. >> You don't have to anything. >> All right. Whatever you 100 customer service, >> you know, it's going to look bad on y'all, right? Y'all know it's going to look real bad, right? Cuz I know how it look bad on me when I go into a place and they be like, "All right, I have no reason at all to tell this person he can't get on the flight." >> The officers are still working toward voluntary cooperation, but another person stepping into the conversation can change the dynamic quickly. If his wife can influence him to cooperate, she may help resolve this. But if she joins the argument, officers now have another person competing for their attention. It is going to be in a minute. >> You're done. You're done. You're done. >> I am talking to you. >> No, I NEED TO GET ON THE RIGHT NOW. >> Or I need, like I said, I need a number and I need to know who recently profiled me or lied to me or HE SAID HE SAID I CALLED THEM A PIG. >> You know that's what he said. Did you know that? I'm not going to stand here all night. I did not listen to you yelling to him. He called me. >> Then that's an issue you have with them. Liar. >> Quit yelling at me and I'll quit yelling at you. >> Leave my plane. Get over here, bro. >> That's again that's an issue you have with them, not me. >> After all that effort to get him outside, he's now heading back into the airport while still focused on the argument. That matters because instead of creating distance from the original dispute, his decision is bringing him right back into the situation officers were trying to resolve. You got to >> for what? >> Chris 13 10. Yo, seriously, what the really do? >> WHAT DID I DO? >> YOU RAN your mouth after you TOLD ME. STOP. >> HOW? >> YOU sat over there at your ran your mouth. >> Going back inside to confront the employee changes the situation. The officers have already given him multiple opportunities to disengage voluntarily. At this point, they appear ready to take enforcement action rather than continue a conversation that hasn't changed his behavior. >> Your mouth after he put your hands behind your back. Hold on. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Run your mouth. >> Now you get a case number. How about that? >> Now you get a case. stupid though. >> Yo, y'all seriously doing this, bro. >> All I did was go there too long, man. >> Made no sense. >> You ain't never seen that real [ __ ] >> I seen that [ __ ] >> The man was taken into custody after officers moved in to arrest him. He was charged with disturbing the peace and resisting an officer without violence. What stands out here is how long officers continued trying to gain voluntary cooperation. Once those efforts stopped producing results, their response shifted from trying to reason with him to taking enforcement action. What are your thoughts on how the officers handled this incident?
