could have been standing in the path of
that car. But what stood out to me
wasn't the crash, but how little she
seemed to care about it. And it's crazy
how for over 20 years, I've had a front
row seat to see the decline of the human
conscience. And that's exactly what we
watched here. And in many states, the
maximum penalty for leaving the scene of
an accident with only property damage is
a fine of $250 and a jail sentence of 15
days or both. So, I'm hoping her choice
is a lesson to somebody else. And this
is so typical because first she tries to
play the victim and then when that
didn't work, her real personality showed
itself. And in this day of cameras and
human witnesses, people will still try
to deny the reality. And yes, she did
crash into a fixed object. But judging
by her behavior, this is going to be a
lot of paperwork because she's
definitely drunk. She has no shame nor
remorse. And she's not a juvenile, so I
don't understand why she's asking them
to call her mom. And this wasn't just
reckless. This was dangerous on a level
that most people don't even think about.
Cuz this might have been a death
sentence for somebody who was just there
getting food. Cuz think about it, what
if your family member was standing there
at the wrong place and wrong time until
the people who do this stuff start to
care. It's the people like you and I who
pay the price.
 An open container of
alcohol was found in the passenger side
floorboard of the suspect's vehicle, as
well as 6.1 g of marijuana. She was
issued a citation for two counts of DUI
property damage, open container of
alcohol in a vehicle, failure to give
information at the scene of a crash with
property damage, and careless driving
due to the narcotics found in the
vehicle testing positive for marijuana.
She was also issued a civil citation.
She is innocent unless proven guilty in
a court of
