from the stunning collapse of an
abandoned iron mine to a powerful
Landslide destroying a road in Japan and
a four-story building crumbling to
Pieces here are four massive landslides
that were caught on camera
me is a coastal town in peric Malaysia
the area is well known for its tin
mining industry and it's precisely in
one of these mines where one of the
largest landslides in history occurred
on October 21st of 1993 an open cast Tin
Mine that had ventured too close to the
nearby sea began to collapse
miraculously the whole thing was
captured on video

the footage captured the moment the hill
began to erode As Time pressed on the
erosion picked up at an ever increasing
rate now despite the low quality of the
video you can tell the cameraman is
quite far away and out of Harm's Way you
can also see some ocean in the
background and that the debris is
Flowing away from that direction this is
the first indication of the problem that
led to This Disaster the mine was built
below sea level and got way too close to
the Sea itself soon the entire thing
gave way

for the first time you can see water
pouring in over the top side what you're
seeing is ocean water breaching the mine
from the nearby Strait of Malacca due to
the sheer volume of water that was let
in and the scale of the collapse a new
Inlet was actually formed and it can be
seen on Google Earth today at the time
of the collapse the mine was thankfully
not in operation so it's believed no
injuries were reported to this day many
would argue that this is the greatest
Landslide video ever captured

the country of India is one that is
prone to landslides thanks to not only
its terrain but the extreme amount of
rain the country receives back on
September 6th of 2021 people in the
mountainous Village of geori noticed a
few Boulders had dislodged from a hill
and Fallen onto the street below after
stopping traffic they began filming and
waited for the inevitable to strike
moments later it did
oh yeah
uh
a large crowd can be seen watching and
waiting for something to happen a select
few even got a bit closer than they
should have standing what appears to be
only about 50 feet away from where the
landslide occurred in the span of only
10 seconds a huge chunk of the Hill
breaks free blocking the road with
debris thanks to the advanced warning
nobody was injured not even those who
stood a bit too close

now back in 2004 engineers in Oto Japan
noticed that cracks were forming along a
highway on the outskirts of town over
the course of the next several weeks it
became clear that the cracks were
growing at an alarming rate given that
it was a road on a steep hill experts
became worried that a landslide was
imminent the road was immediately closed
off but things sat dormant for several
more months finally on August 10th while
the government crew was out inspecting
and filming the area the moment they had
all been waiting for finally came
come on

even for an old video taken at night
it's a surreal sight the bright light
illuminates the trees as they Rush down
the hill something you definitely don't
want to see on your night drive home
prior to this Engineers had set up
extensometers to record movement and
they learned that the hillside was in
fact creeping downward thankfully they
had plenty of time to prepare so there
were no injuries of any kind

s come in all sorts of shapes and sizes
sometimes an entire Mountain comes
crashing down other times a few rocks
fall onto a road what you definitely
don't want is to build your home in a
place prone to them unfortunately nobody
told this homeowner back in July of 2018
Heavy Rain hammered the Turkish District
of bayal glue on July 24th a major
Landslide struck the sutluche
neighborhood leaving one home teetering
on a Cliff's Edge camera crew arrived
just in time to capture the moment the
entire thing Came Crashing Down

that's impressive how little warning the
collapse gave at first we see some dirt
trickling downhill and then suddenly the
entire house gives way it quickly
crumbles under its own weight leaving a
cloud of dust blocking it from sight
that should go without saying that
nobody was injured in this collapse
given that the house was literally
missing its entire Foundation it's safe
to say the occupants had evacuated at
this point it's definitely a shame to
see such a nice house get destroyed so
quickly but hey that's mother nature for
