on the night of September 18th 2023 in Florida a sheriff's deputy responded to a disturbance the call detailed a shirtless white male creating a tumultuous scene by yelling and screaming at passing cars as the deputy approached he observed the male subject stumbling on the sidewalk what car I don't know what car I don't know you have idea on you before you grab it do you have any weapons on you no weapons okay and you don't have to look at my ID okay I'm asking you for ID or I'll arrest you because you're refusing to give your identification right now I'm going to call you may me the description of a guy yelling on the road I just want need your ID to identify who I'm talking to you you that's yeah yeah I do I I have a right to do that because I'm here I know my rights okay okay let me explain something to you thank you f dude this is [ __ ] I know my right uh do not have to give you this but I'm going to do it because I don't want to okay you have any weapons on you no dude okay relax I just got off work let me tell you you're not I want you to listen right now the reason why I'm here is we have a caller that called of a white male with no shirt on with tattoos screaming and yelling at people you match the description with the black pants just relax let me run your information well nothing happened relax let me do my job and just hang tight I just got off work and I got dropped off I got into an argument with the person who was giving me a ride home that's why I'm not home okay but you you were you say you live that way why you walking away from your address who cares okay it's not illegal okay right now you're slurring your words okay uh no I'm not it's not illegal to walk who do you live with at your house I don't to tell you that let me explain something to you what's going to happen is if this doesn't change dramatically you're going to go to jail for disorderly conduct and into intoxication as well so it doesn't you know I'm just sitting here and I'm just trying to figure out what's going on but you no but you're you're drunk which is illegal you don't know that I'm drunk two what's disorderly we have witnesses that drive witnesses that we have a call they didn't feel comfortable standing here why while you were yelling at their car when they drove by they called the police okay so here's where I'm at I can't leave you on the side of the road so either a I can possibly think about giving you a ride home or B I have to take you to jail so so relax let me do my job and just be quiet until I get get this what I'm going to decide on what I'm going to do and yes I have a right to have your ID yes sir thank you how much how much have you had to drink tonight no you don't how much have you had to drink tonight I tell you that I just got off work at Publix Publix no I come Farms cumon Farms yes sir okay look I I respect you okay but I also respect my rights okay well I have a right to identify you and right now not really right now because you you don't you're not understanding we had a caller call about you when they yelled at yelling at their car okay so what I'm trying to do so what I'm trying to do is I if you live here at that address is there someone there that could oversee that you're at the house and you're okay or do you live by yourself I live with my mother and my stepfather okay okay okay do you get along with them okay yeah okay I don't mind giving you a ride but I I I have to know what's going on with you and seeing what's happening I don't want to send you in other words listen just just listen handcuffs in my back of my car for what just sorely intoxication just you can't prove that I'm intoxicated and there's no disorderly anything I know my rights I live about 10 blocks that way right argument okay so they asked you get out their car oh yeah okay and I did you did you happen to raise your voice when that happened probably possibly maybe a little like no but sir nothing crazy the threats okay okay okay well here's what we're having now that we have a complainant and we have a call and you meet your the script somebody might have heard I I I I can't first of all I can't disclose who it was but here's here's my choices either a I take you back to your house let you go to bed that would be nice or B I'm going to take you to jail those are my only two options okay so here's no reason to take me to jail if you want me to demonstrate that I do I which I really don't want to do but I will do it oh I would get your badge number I'll spend a few nights in jail and then we will see each other in court you're and I might make some money my name will be on your affidavit and I will only arrest you if you need to be arrested okay so just just relax what would you be arresting me for disorderly intoxication it's a misdemeanor but I would rather you have no proof but I would what I would rather do yes we have a complainant with meaning the person that called what I'd rather do so their word against mine is okay so what I would rather do is I'd rather get you to the house to where I don't have to arrest you yeah me too okay I'd rather just walk there dude okay I can't allow you to do that either a I'm going to take you back to your location of where you live and talk to your parents make sure oh no no no then then I'm going to have to take you to jail no you have absolutely listen to me zero reason Samuel what's going on nothing I got into an argument with the person giving me a ride home from jail oh from jail from work my hands are up here you can mean what did I do what did I do moments later as the arresting officer talked to the witness the other Deputy was able to convince the subject to calm down and agree to be taken home however so you're saying that police officers aren't supposed to protect and serve hello question answer do you have a question our police you do you do realize that we're at your house and we're about to let you cut you loose right instead of taking you to jail full instead of taking me to jail for nothing yeah right hey guys can you'all come down here so I can talk to you okay I'm going to put down the window here's where I'm at I I he what had happened the story I don't know what was told you or not but we had a we had uh a guy with your son was let out of a car he ultimately got into an argument with someone in another vehicle in the vehicle he was being dropped off at a good Samaran called an in saying that he was sitting down yelling at obscenities or whatever and and now he's here we're trying to drop him off and we're short and we want to we want to be able to to drop him off but I want to make sure that you guys are okay with it because because let me tell you now but but but but if I don't see him calming down I'm going to have to take him to jail because what I don't want to have happen is I release him right and then he there's a problem after I've released him sure there will be so see that's not that's not yeah I'll let you talk to him for a second through the glass you hear me I was walking up I was walking yes you are on not all right so I was walking home after getting kicked out of your ride no no I got into an argument with him no yeah no what not I'm going to punch all right all right all right so just you can log at 1015 rout to the CJ good night yep we tried we tried we try we're not we tried we're not doing this anymore he's absolutely just not listening come home no he's not you're going to jail you're going to really find out now what what we have and what probable cause we do have because you're not listening well I am listening you're not listening sir you're arguing with your your stepfather when we you are taking we try to take you home I haven't seen him in eight hours okay Mom Mom we tried to take him home he's I'm not going to have another problem because we dropped him off here yeah cuz he will he will be he's not going to have a problem I'm not going to have a problem can you get their phone number for me so I can call for the jail can you get their number and text it to me guys my mom is right there she doesn't want me to go to jail guys please just drop me off somewhere I didn't break the law what did I do which is why I was really upset about you guys taking me in because I knew he would do that but my mom knows that I'm a good guy I am a good dad my kids love me come on please dude just let me out of your car I'm not I don't dude just let me out let me go the subject faced charges of disorderly
