looking at they're they're charging 750
for the soil sample that was the work
that was done over the last three months
that was the only project that we're
working on and that company is the one
that did it so now I'm asking
if the total was twelve hundred dollars
tell me what you did to justify that
extra five hundred dollars you know what
work were you doing and then you got all
offended and you know he's like man that
was three months of billing that I had
to do

and nice to meet you you know that was a
you know this is a little insight on
this how often do these do these and
stuff are they like really about this is
where he goes and looking at your soil
right now
we do a scale of you know one to fifty
if you're like above a 50 like it's a
problem he goes I'm telling you like
right now just looking at your soil it's
like a five dude like you're fine
so as he's saying this he he pulls out a
bucket and he takes a couple shovels he
pulls up the Home Depot bucket full of
dirt he's like all right well I'm gonna
take this back to the lab and uh you
know get your test results gone dude all
right no big deal
um
well once must down the line they
finally get the soil sample done
and uh they forward the bill to the
engineering company the engineering tax
on there
profit margin and then they throw it
back to me well for whatever reason the
engineering company left me their bill
attached so I got to I got to see the
itemized breakdown of it 750 250 of
which was for the soil sample test like
they get that like right that's fair 250
you're gonna you know test the soil and
put it in your machines and dry it out
and rehydrate it do all your you know
micro carbon radiation [ __ ] whatever
that's fine but then it says mileage uh
a hundred and twelve dollars for mileage
it was like okay like that makes sense
they're gonna charge me for the guy
coming out you know that's a round trip
from Chico 50 miles each way that's fine
and then it says um site investigation
for
um four accounts of site investigation
at 85 each account and I was like tight
investigation like
they can't mean like when they actually
they came out for five minutes and took
a dirt sample like did they come out
like you know when I wasn't here and
like freaking did like a you know like a
topographical invest I don't know they
got out those little tripod things or
something and like freaking measured out
the lay of the land and stuff yeah and I
was like oh man like I live here like
there's no way they would have been here
without me knowing you stuff so I call
like off of another number I was like
Hey like this is Michael you know I'm
looking to um inquire like uh uh how
much a soil sample test you know cost
and John the the boss there he picked up
the line he goes uh well you know we
charged 250 for the test and I was like
great that's the whole banana he's like
no like there's mileage you know for
however far we're coming and I was like
okay that's fine he goes it's about a
dollar a mile and that matches with what
they charged me and then he goes um and
then there's
um
uh the site investigation I was like
okay what's the sign investigation in
town and he goes oh it's like when we
send somebody out to to pick up the soil
and you know bring it back to the lab
and he goes it's a two hour minimum like
you know if we're there for whatever
like we're doing two hours and if you go
above then we start tackling on the
extra and it goes that we charge 75 for
that and I hung up the phone like thanks
for the info I have the phone and I'm
looking at the bill dude and um they
charged me 85 an hour and they charge me
for four hours of it so I'm like sitting
there pissed dude I'm like this is
[ __ ] dude because the 250 for the
soil sample like that's already enough
man you make it 250 to test out some
dirt like that's a lot of money and then
you're gonna charge me a hundred and 112
for mileage okay like that should cover
your cost you know to and from like that
and then
to charge me 85 you know on top of that
with four accounts of that to fill up a

original engineer guys that

did my order

charging an extra like 60 on top of it
