The person being interviewed is going to
be Amanda.
So, Amanda, just walk me through it. You
are a project manager for Dr. Horton,
correct? I'm the superintendent.
Superintendent. Okay. And this home is
under new construction. Yes. Um here at
2120 Basin Street. And to the best of
your knowledge, your um construction
site sign has been standing on the
property the whole time the project's
been going on. Correct. Yes. You just
noticed it down yesterday. Yes. When you
called um yesterday, you had called, you
contacted us. You had said that somebody
appeared to be staying inside the home.
You were contacted by one of your um
subcontractors that were working on the
project and there was some personal
items in the home. A coffee maker looked
like some clothes. Um and when you and I
both came out here, there was no one on
the property, but those items were still
here, right? Correct. Um and then what
did you do? You locked the doors. I went
in the house. I made sure all the doors
were locked. The um back slider was
open, so I locked that again. The garage
was propped open, so I shut that. Um,
and then I locked the rest of the house
and I changed the code on the front
door. Okay. And then this morning,
actually, just let me explain to you
what happened was just to kind of keep
watch of the house. I came by this
morning. I came up the backside. I had
observed uh looked like appear to be a
white male sitting inside the residence.
So, I approached the house. Um, he saw
me. He asked me what I wanted and I kind
of knocked and said, "Hey, I'm here. I
need to speak to you. I need you to step
outside." Um, he refused to come
outside. He said that he didn't have to
answer me or any questioning. Um, and so
his name once we my partner showed up
and we made entry into the house cuz the
backslider was still open so we made
entry. He refused to come with us or
step outside. He kind of tried to shut
the door in our face. So my um partner
came and we took him down. Um,
unfortunately we did have to tase him in
the event to get him down. So there's
some blood on the floor that's going to
have to be cleaned up now. Um, his name
was Abraham.
Um, this is not anyone that you are
aware of, correct? No. Okay. And he's
not the owner of the house that's
purchasing it from you, right? Okay. And
you didn't get permission for him or
anybody else to be on the property
without your authorization. Correct.
Okay. So, at this time,
um, he is under arrest uh, for criminal
trespass. It was a posted construction
site.
