in April of 2021 officers with the Delray Beach Police Department in Palm Beach County Florida stopped a man that they knew after they saw him littering right in front of them as always the full police report will be down in the description and I'll go over the outcome of the case at the end of the video I saw you you just littered right now cleaned up on the ground and checked it that's all I did man check what was in the box man that's all I did man oh well but then you dropped something back right now our check was in the box man where do you got your stem at me yeah that's what I thought I saw too here let me put it in a glove Larry you told me the other day you told me the other day you told me the other day I'm back on the speaker I'm gonna open the hospital they had a bed ready for you yeah but at that time okay they had a bed ready for you and then you said that you had to take your your um they won't let me stay there let me put this in it okay well I know there's a lot of litter here but uh we're trying to I just picked the Box up and check it that's all I did I know but you picked that one up and then you picked up the cigarette there but then you threw a piece of litter right there you know you that came out the box yeah that's a silver Cruise come out the box okay well I'm not I don't want to argue with you I just saw you go like this and it fell to the ground and I'm like man and I was Larry I'm like Larry don't let her I trade I checked through the red box sometimes money being there okay oh that's Mary oh you were honest with you I started to step in your hand and yeah yeah I know I ain't a bad guy I know you're not that's why I was polite that's why I pulled up like hey Larry why are you littering but I also seen the stem so I'm gonna be like just to stab me anything else honey you know you know how it goes I gotta do my job just because I'm not gonna hit you with no littering but I do have to we have evidence we have to put it into evidence I have to give you a full day for the for the staff no no they'll give you a fine and they'll give you a pay plan but listen I don't want you smoking you've had an opportunity to go into a house but I couldn't at that time man I'm kidding so have you talked to Ariana yeah okay so are they trying to get you a new bed yeah we came and found you because they put out an email like hey if you find Larry he's got a bed you gotta be it now I'm original but I couldn't go there at that time I understand they already in the hospital then you got to go to rehab foreign trying to get you a fairyola trying to get you a battery or what well they're gonna they're gonna try to give me another one try to sign me back up because like I said let me get out of the hospital you gotta go rehab so I don't like this [ __ ] no more I know did we put ourselves out here yep all right unfortunately I gotta do my job I'm not trying to be an ass I'm not taking you to county for it I'm not going to hit you with no littering because I do I do believe that you just just if you do if you do pick up a piece of trash and you look in it look all the trash cans around just walk into the next trash can and throw it out that would be because this is your neighborhood too you live here I mean when you see all the kids that come out of school they get out at three there's ton of kids walk playing right here last thing I want to see a bunch of litter down here on the on the ground when they're when they're playing around you know man I know people who got way more than you Larry how many sound charges you got I mean I got at least about 10 to 12. oh I ain't never did no chance I know people who got 10 or 12 in in the whole year in one year they're gonna recommend time no they won't no they won't you'll be fine and if they do give you time at least you're off the street I want you to get clean I want you to get here [Music] and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you don't have anything else all right another one [Applause] all right Larry that's you right there Larry Cornelius he's being charged with just a paraphernalia I'm not going to hit you with littering because then you mostly I don't think you're going to get in time for it I'm not a judge I can't make that decision but based on what I've seen they won't especially with Corona going on they won't give you anything but I don't think they will don't take my word for it but I don't think they will okay your fourth day is going to be at 200 West Atlantic Avenue you know where it's at it's going to be on May 20th 2021 at 8 30 in the morning okay can I get you to sign for it right here well there you can put your signature and then today's date is 4 29 21. right there 429 21. [Applause] Larry here's your copy Circle that for you I wonder what's Atlantic Avenue and the date is right there please please please if you're walking around and you do pick up stuff just it also went back on the ground because then technically it's you littering so take it to trash and please please don't walk around with a stem in your hand okay I don't know I know take care Larry okay watch about huh I know I know take care bud while Larry wasn't arrested on the spot and he was only given a ticket that day he was ultimately charged with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia his first court date slash his arraignment was set for June 15th where he did not show up they rescheduled it again for June 24th and he once again did not show up this time the judge ordered a warrant for his arrest as well as a two thousand dollar Bond once he gets arrested he was then arrested on July 12th and the arrest report is sealed so I'm not sure if he was arrested directly for the warrant or if the cops interacted with him and noticed he had a warrant or if he had more drug paraphernalia or anything but he was arrested on July 12th and then had an arraignment the next day where he immediately entered a plea deal along with being found guilty by the court that day he was also determined to be Indigent that day meaning he's in poverty so the court has to appoint him a public defender I think this is kind of interesting because Florida doesn't require a court to appoint public defenders for a misdemeanor case but it seems like they're able to get an attorney that day the judge ultimately sentenced him to time serve which equated to zero days in jail along with about a 370 dollar fine recognizing his Indigent status the court put him on a payment plan where payment was due within a year and it looks like in December of 2021 they suspended his driver's license in relation to this case I can't tell what that's about it might have something to do with him being in collections for the fee if you enjoyed this video please consider subscribing as I post exclusive body cam content like this weekly and if you know of an incident you want to see on camera feel free to reach out to me in the email address or Facebook page linked in the about section of this YouTube channel
