in 2021 Florida police responded to a gas station for a stolen phone as always the full police report is down in the description and I'll go over the outcome of the case at the end of the video gave forces I don't think he wants to do that oh no man I don't want to get chased again neither no no no that Academy is not for me okay so phone got stolen oh yeah oh his name's Adam he lives uh on this street right here I'm not exactly sure but I do know somebody that knows I'll be able to contact that I'll get that information right now um do you have access to the video for 30 more minutes yeah about 30 more minutes my manager comes in before about six foot eighteen years old do you know who it is do you personally know who he is [Music] all right Robert can I have your ID so I can write down your information you certainly can if I remember right for this thing is having a really bad time with my left eye I got diesel fuel in my eye oh no no I see it's a little red I didn't know if to review the tape or whatever um I don't know if I want to wait or just go talk to him and see if he can cough up with it if he doesn't just come back and we'll get a tape and then go back to the is all the stuff I brought back was this water bottle there's some this is already here so you don't have this man's phone at all no it's an iPhone 12 in a silver case I don't have this I don't have an iPhone 12. you didn't take a phone that didn't belong to you didn't take anything my family taught me well when I was little not distill anybody's stuff but if someone did um like forgot a phone I would just hand it back to them and say here you lost the phone well I never seen him carry a phone or anything okay all right I will give you a call if we do find it um but like I said if the video shows that you took this man's phone then I will come back here and I will he wants to pursue charges soon just so you know so far in the experiences in my career I've only been doing this for five and a half years but I've worked a lot of these steps pieces they're similar to this um and interviewing people and whatnot based off of his General reaction and his statements I don't personally believe but then again I could be I could be fooled at the same time so that's why I want to review the camera well two patrons yeah she was like what was that myself and the guy running the store okay and he was the only one other than myself right that was right there and when I say right there I mean he literally oh you ain't seen nothing baby girl good morning sis good morning but it's okay that noise um mental developmental issues as well obviously we'll find out and I have a background yeah do you remember what time you got here to the school I you know I don't even know what time it is now oh I don't even know what time it is most of the time I'm retired now I don't know why I'm pretty [ __ ] there he goes can you are you able to get a facial shot of him by any chance what time guy in a tan jacket didn't see it I agenda so now I feel like a complete another dick so um the manager is working on getting me a facial shot of the guy who actually took your phone because he after you had walked away you went into the bathroom or you left your phone right there I did the guy in the tan jacket was in the aisles next to the windows right here and then you went in the bathroom and then he walked over to the Polar Pops and he got his whole drink and then went over and grabbed the straw and grabbed the top and then get that young man up here so I can apologize to him or can I go down and apologize for this kid yeah I really feel like a dick now I mean I can call him on the phone please I tell that young man if the other girl that works here she has his phone yeah yeah I mean yeah the one with the caller yeah I'll go through her and just see if she can apologize for it it's kind of just going to talk to a young lady wearing shorts long sleeve shirt and adult color what do you think so I'm working on getting a facial shot of the guy who actually took your phone and then we'll go from there okay I think if I can you be my future ex-wife no I can I am I get great pain oh or whatever so um I gotta talk to you about a case all right you're the listed as a suspect all right oh no what about so in order for me to ask you any questions um I have to detain you okay like you said you're not under arrest or anything you're just being detained that's all it is it's just formalities for the case okay yeah it's in reference to a theft let's watch your hands they're excited just some formalities all right that's the whole reason for the handcuffs all right so we remember me right there um all right so because formalities I gotta Regional Miranda rights okay we understand these rights have these rights of mind you wish to answer my question okay um so this case is from November um it's in regards to a theft of iPhone you no um um an iPhone no from where uh Circle K oh but uh Highway 25 and 25A the phone that was found at the dam um fountain drink machine that ain't how is that at theft well that's what I'm asking you no there wasn't enough phone installed from there it was at the [ __ ] it was at the fountain drink machine when I got the pound drinks okay that that's all it was so and did you turn it into the clerk or anything Mike did Mike who uh Baker okay he was supposed to tell he was supposed to give it back to that guy or the guy that worked at the store or whatever he didn't even the guy told him like two weeks later that it was um his phone or now his phone or customer's phone or something and they were supposed to give it back he was supposed to get an excellent okay so you gave it to Mike yeah while you were inside the store I gave it to Mike yeah while we were out there because I asked Mike if it was his phone did you give it to him while you guys were still in the store um now we were outside the store okay but I thought it was Mike's I thought Mike because Mike had gotten new phones okay and then Amanda so I I didn't know until then but it was at the fountain drink machine so you thought it was Mike's and you gave it to Mike and no no I asked Mike was was it his phone he said no so why don't you just take it right back inside he because he knows the guy he knew the guy personally okay so I I don't know what what he got come about that but as far as I knew it was over with well I have you on video taking it and it's at The Foundry machine I know yeah okay that's already been returned it has not been returned it's still stolen and you were the last person to have it I was it wasn't stolen I found it that's Mike That's Mike okay I understand you think that it's Mike's phone but it wasn't Mike's phone okay but I didn't steal the phone I found the phone right you should have just turned it in right then and there or told when you were standing right there really bad this is this was your opportune moment when you were paying for your stuff you should have been like hey Mike is this your phone and he would have said no and that's when you could turn it into okay right there in your pocket thank you the guy worked at the store the owner of the phone doesn't work at store well then that's who he returned it to he was he told us that it was the guy that worked at the store there was nobody at the store was there video of them turning the phone in to the alleged person that owns the phone the clerk yeah oh there's no there's no video so then how did you guys turn the phone into the club oh no the phone was turned back to the clerk when uh that same night that same night or the next day Mike did because I went back the next day and got video and well how is okay if I found the phone how did I steal the phone because you're the last person to have the phone and you didn't turn it in video shows you take the phone and you stick it in I will go find out exactly right now to Win It I know where it is it's in Washington state what he means in Washington I guess it got sold so to Washington State somebody in Washington state I don't even know anybody in Washington State phone was never returned so who how did the phone end up in Washington state well I don't know whoever has it now what you were the one who initially took it I didn't take the bone man I found the phone oh it's still taking something that you don't that doesn't belong to you right so if I just walk by something and I see it over there and I pick it up because I pound it I took if you don't report it to pick it up and it's in your possession if you don't report it to law enforcement if you don't report it to Mike did he took it to the store then he sold the phone well then we'll look at him too he could we could charge him with dealing a stolen property but as far as usually stolen property as far as I'm concerned you stole the phone I just found the phone man so you're under arrest really bad can I get my shoes please too okay listen I'm only gonna tell you once this is not gonna what's my what's my charge Grand Theft oh my God what's up y'all gotta be kidding me man how can I be going with Grandpa that didn't do anything do you have anything in your pockets Mike no this man life was supposed to turn the [ __ ] boat in how can you charge me with Grand Theft if I find the phone the thing does not belong to you and you didn't turn it in right then and there he turned he was supposed to talk he was supposed to but the last person you tell me that so what am I getting charged with all right score who's charging me who's the problem the charges who did this I am are you done yeah I'm sorry I'm just I gotta pee really bad all right Chad peep right here nope set inside the car thank you yeah mm-hmm you good I'm good appreciate you what yeah I know for a fact that's what I'm setting your bond to is 2 000 whatever you go to see the judge I don't know two thousand if you go to first appearance the judge May either raise it or lower It Whatever the judge wants Michaela shows the one felony count of Grand Theft over 750 and less than twenty thousand dollars and he was able to post the two thousand dollar Bond about 14 days after getting arrested he pled not guilty and was appointed a public defender but about a month later the prosecutors dropped the charges as always if you
