They had been dating for roughly a year and a half. The relationship had already cracked once, but by 1 month ago, Julianne and Caydance were back together. And the jealousy is the main reason, which was everywhere detectives looked. >> All right, go ahead and sit down. >> Why? >> Sit down. What's up? >> I was really upset about it. >> Hey, come on. Sit down real quick. Me? I don't think you really I was the one who was talking to you the last few times. I think you were talking to the other officers. It's on the counter. >> You don't have to worry about my phone. >> No, I'm not worried about No, my phone my pocket is what I'm saying that. And it's probably got some significance meaning significance to it, so >> [laughter] >> Why couldn't you >> Cuz we're not going to do that. >> You could have. >> We don't. >> We don't have to. I just want to let it go. This This is the I'm so sorry about I'm so sorry. What authorization do you have to use lethal force on suspects? >> We also have to be in fear of losing our lives or someone else, so it's not like we can't just go hurt someone. >> I'm going to ask you one more question >> Yeah. >> Hey, actually, I'm going to ask you one more question, but I just want to follow up with something, okay? >> Okay. >> Do you want to sit this way? For sure? All right. >> I was going to graduate high school in December. 12:30. 12:30 exactly. Do you know where the SE parking is? >> Yeah, we're by Hillsborough. >> If you drive past the going into And when you drive past you'll be able to go right or left, right? Right will take you to to the close one there. But there's a really big tree right next to it. >> What's that? What what is that? >> If you If you drive into Hesse, like driving past Hinchcliff, all right? There's a parking lot where you could turn left to get in the parking lot and then turn right. Fences and all that stuff. There's a really big tree by being the closest to you turn right. If you could put this hair at that tree, it was going to be near our first time. The first time we did that together. Seems like an appropriate spot to leave the car right there. >> We'll see. I don't know if I can keep it or you're going to keep it or or what. It's all right if I put your shirt on now. It's all right if I put your shirt on. So you might be in trouble. >> Can I see your hands, man? It's just got water. That's all. Good deal. >> Julian? Julian? >> Yeah. I don't have my phone. >> Because >> I I killed her. >> on a body camera is not a guilty plea in a courtroom. So that same night in the interview room, Julian told detectives that Caydans grabbed the knife first, that she pulled his wrist toward her own chest, and that the blade struck her before he could react. At the end, Julian Holloway, 18, was charged with first-degree murder and remains in custody at the St. Clair County Jail. He has never pleaded guilty, and more than a year later, the case is still pending, continuing again in July 2026 to August. He is presumed innocent [music] until proven guilty. We'll keep following this case and update you when the court reaches a decision. [music] Until then, our deepest condolences to Caydans's family, >> [music] >> her friends, and everyone who loved her.
