On July 6, 2025, cops were called to Fort Lauderdale International Airport in reference to a disturbance on American Airlines flight after a woman was denied boarding when she was trying to board a flight to Charlotte. Gate agents noticed that she was intoxicated, so denied her boarding. But according to police reports, she refused to leave the jet bridge and started yelling and screaming at American Airlines employees. These are the events that unfolded. All right. So she was denied boarding? Yes. She tried to force her way into the plane. I have a first class ticket somewhere. So don't do any of this while the ticket is on the video. The issue here is that she's carrying the flight dangerous and she tried to force her way onto the plane. We have to close the door and stop stop the boarding process. So she Yeah, that's what happened. She got denied in a way. That's absolutely nothing. That's what he was telling me when I was in the line. He said, "Come outside." I told you to >> And I'm a female. And this intimidates me. And when a male comes up to me and says, "Let's go outside talk." It makes me want to [ __ ] ninja There you go. Yeah, here we go. But I'm going to So what? He's not a pilot. He's not the plane. He's the manager. Okay. Who comes up to me in the line and says, "Let's go outside and talk." No, sir. I would like to board my plane and go to work. Once an airline denies you boarding, you are no longer authorized to be in the boarding area or aircraft access points. The jet bridge is not public space. It's a restricted, controlled area tied directly to an active aircraft. So when she walks down that jet bridge anyway, she's essentially ignoring airline authority and turning into a restricted area without permission and potentially interfering with flight operations. And this is enough to be charged with trespassing. Who comes up to me in the line and says, "Let's go outside and talk." No, sir. I would like to board MY PLANE AND GO to work. >> All right, well the plane's gone. Okay? And it sucks. And it's not fair. Do me a favor, keep it down. All right? She was boarding the flight which time? No. From the beginning. Come up here. She has a boarding pass and then she goes inside. So the agents tell me that she looked a little a little off. Well, she was saying things walking down. At first I thought she was on the phone. And then I saw coming some walking out. She starts talking to me out of the blue. And I thought she was on the phone. >> While you were down there? I was walking out, right? There's a line. Yeah. >> okay? So I thought she was on the phone with a headset, but she was talking to me and then she started talking to passengers randomly. And people were Some of the passengers were caught by surprise. They didn't know what to say. So I turn around and I ask her if is everything all right. So she says, "It's none of your business. You know, get out of here." And I can smell alcohol. So I tell her, "Do you mind? Let's Let's go outside and talk about this." Initially >> to bring her back. Yeah, I I never put my hands on her. I just say, "Could you please go outside and I'm going to put you on the next flight. I'm going to give you time to sober up." But she kept walking to the point that I have to go downstairs and talk to the flight attendants, explain the situation and then she became loud. She said, "You know, let me go in. Let me go in." So we have to close the door. And at point then I call I call county. So that's just what what happened. So you tried to bring her back. Yes. To have a conversation to rebook her on the next flight. But she didn't want to go. She didn't want to get rebooked. And she started cursing at us. All this was in Inside the jet bridge. We asked her to come out to the lobby. And even customers said, "Hey, there's kids here." Mhm. You mother Okay, got you. I know I'm a nurse practitioner. I'm a beyond So did she ever make entry onto the plane or no? They kind of stopped >> No, no. We had to close the door. Okay, so you closed the door. So she never did actually. No, she never did. Okay, so basically it was a disturbance in the jet bridge. >> Correct. She's trying to force her way. Okay, cool. So you engaged her inside of the jet bridge, asked her to turn around and became verbal disturbance basically. Yes. Okay. I understand. So that's a different ballgame than all the rest than actually breaching the plane and you know. That's why I wanted that clarification. She tried. Right. I don't know if it's defensible.
