On March 16th, 2024, College Park police were called to Classico Salon on Old National Highway after a woman was reportedly attacked while working inside the business. The 911 call came from the victim's boyfriend, who reported that his girlfriend had just been assaulted inside the salon. >> College Park 911. What's the address of your emergency? Uh, yes. I had one of my friends get jumped on here at the barber shop. Can y'all speak up right now? >> What's the address? >> Yes. I'm on the phone with 911. >> What's the address? >> 5141 National Highway is at the uh Old National. >> Okay. Is he Is he still getting You said he was jumped on like beat up. >> My No, my girl. My friend. My girl. >> Okay. Your girl. She was jumped on like beat up. >> Yeah, she was jumped on by two two females. I I don't know the whole >> Are they still there? >> No, they already left. She's on the ground fighting for her life right now. Can I send ammo, please? >> How old is she? >> Uh 26. >> Is she still conscious, alert, and breathing? She's breathing, but she's breathing heavily and she's breathing. She bleeding out the nose. >> Okay. She bleeding from anywhere else. >> Uh, not that I can see. Is she feeling any pain? >> She's she's somewhat unconscious right now. >> Okay. So, she's in and out in consciousness. >> Yes. >> Okay. Does she have any other medical history we should be aware of? >> Not that I know of. >> What's she wearing? All right. We'll get someone there as soon as we can. They are not. >> According to the police report, the victim, Emmon Major, told officers she [music] was working at her station when several females came into the salon and jumped her. Police documented that she had a bloody nose and [music] a gash to the back of her head. Now, in this case, we do not have the responding officer's body [music] camera from the initial call. According to what was provided, that footage was not located. But what we do have is the 911 call, camera [music] footage from inside the salon showing the attack, and later body cam from the investigation where I is shown reviewing photo lineups. Investigators would later say the video, social media information, [music] and photo lineups helped identify the suspects connected to this case. So, this one is simple. A woman is working inside a [music] salon. The suspects walk in. The 911 call goes out and from [music] there the case moves from a fight caught on camera to an identification process at the police station. Body cam on. >> You just got I can't show it to you. >> Okay. >> I made it. >> Okay, that's fine. [clears throat] >> Yes. So Marie, our photograph of ammunition is that we are here today to see if you can make an identification of the person who was involved in the crime not being investigated. I will show you a group of six photograph. This group of photograph may or may not include a photograph of the person involved in this crime. Take your time and review each photograph. Do not talk to anyone while viewing the photograph. Keep in mind that hairstyles, beards, and mustache can easily be changed. Therefore, the photograph you are viewing may not depict the hairstyle or facial hair similar to that of the person who was involved in the crime. Also, the photograph may not depict the true complexion of a person. It may be lighter or darker than shown in the photograph. Pay no attention to any markings or numbers that may appear on a photograph. When you have looked at all the photograph, tell me whether or not you see the person involved in this crime. >> Okay? >> I only make an identification if you're able to do so. Circuit an entire photograph and an initial the photograph with the initials of your first and last name. >> Do not tell other witness you have or have not identified anyone. Okay. >> Mhm. Okay. So, that's that one. [music] Don't do that. Don't do that. >> [screaming] >> THAT [ __ ] was a REAL KNEW BITCHELL. YEAH. You come outside here. You come outside. [ __ ] YOU KNOW, [ __ ] Don't you try to get ANY [clears throat] >> you You know what? You know what? >> [ __ ] you. YOU COME OUTSIDE HERE. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, [ __ ] From the video, it looks like the suspects are being pushed out of the salon. At that point, it seems like the fight might be over. But for whatever reason, Mooney comes outside, too. Maybe she was trying to get a tag number. Maybe she was heading to her car. [music] I don't know. But once she steps outside, the attack continues. This angle appears to come from someone's cell phone. Police obtained it from social media and it was [music] included in the evidence package for this case. >> What the [ __ ] GET OUT. GET OUT. >> GET IN THE CAR, BRO. [ __ ] GET IN THE CAR. GET OUT. >> GET IN THE CAR. GET in the car. [bell] >> God damn. [laughter] Damn, man. What the [ __ ] [laughter] [ __ ] Wow, bro. God damn. Old net still ain't chang. Okay. I don't see the other girl. I just see. >> Okay. I have another set. >> Okay. So, this is one. That's one. >> Okay. So, right now, what I need you to do is circle this kitchen and put your initials on it. Right here. I state your name. Sorry, I have pass identifier number five. Tell me how did you pick her up? What made her stand out till you pick her up? Okay. So, you can sign it. And today's date is going to be the the 22nd and it's 1:43 p.m. >> April the 22nd. >> Okay. I got to make sure. [laughter] Okay. So that's that one. So it's the same ammunition. It's going to be for the new a new another female. Okay. So you can look at this one and tell me you see that person in that one. Okay. So, what I need you to do with this one is the same thing. And put your name, your initials on R. Your initials. Okay. And fill out this one as well. here. Put whatever number that is and then tell me how you Okay. Flower question for you. What was this fight? I know you tell me briefly. Yeah. >> But um my brother had died in um November. >> These are I don't have no vendetta or whatever they wanted to fight me for. >> But um I guess they say we they admit they are saying that me and my family killed my brother. >> Okay. And what is their relationship? >> They was just a friend. >> Okay. I thought that's what you said. I just wanted to make sure. >> Yeah. They was just a friend. But these are this my brother. your biological brother. >> My brother, we had him since we was he was 13. He's older than this and whatever. My mama had him and he's 28. He died at 28. >> Okay. >> They said we killed him. So, >> and I wasn't even there the day he died. So, I don't even know what's going on. >> Yeah. >> I don't even know what's going on. And I uh stated in one of the uh on how I knew one of the girls or whatever. >> Um >> I don't even know her. Me and her got into it. They it was seven of them the night before at a club and they all tried to jump me but I fought one of them >> and I guess the next day they came back and snuck me and jumped me inside. So >> I know I saw that. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. That's what I need to know. >> Now as far as why all this happened, I don't have a full deep explanation for the beef. The only thing we really have is what Emmon told detectives that these women [music] blamed her for something connected to her brother's death. That's the background. That's the tension. But for this case, police identified two suspects, Ariel Young and [music] Crystal Roberts. And digging through the paperwork, these ladies had a lot going on. But in this salon case, they were [music] arrested and charged with battery. And after all that chaos, after the 911 call, after the salon footage, after the photo lineup, court paperwork shows Ariel Young plead guilty and was sentenced to 12 months probated with 40 hours of community service. So after [music] everything captured on camera, the punishment came down to probation and community [music] service. A fight caught from multiple angles, a victim left bleeding, two suspects identified, and a punishment that felt lighter than the footage looked. Atlanta crime [music] files. Body cam off.
