The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says that a group chat with federal agents was used to help ICE agents detain a college student after a traffic stop. The Sheriff's Office doesn't like this. They say it was done without their knowledge and potentially in violation of state law. Last week, the Salt Lake Tribune reported a 19-year-old college student from Utah, Caroline Diaz Kumlavis, was taken into ICE custody after a traffic stop in Colorado.
