fighting the whole time believe he's
under the influence of cocaine or crack
been spitting been fighting so been
fighting with me fighting with all
officers um we got him medically cleared
sort of but he's just not crack cor
down

felony obstructing interfering with
government property terroristic threats
sortly conduct and I think apparently
he's got a warrant too I didn't confirm
it I didn't
run that's what I don't

now it's bad enough to have to deal with
people stealing but when these employees
have to deal with someone under the
influence of something and assaulting
them right in front of the police that
gives a new definition of the phrase
toxic work environment and many times
these situations do not improve upon
police arrival and officers have to go
quickly from speaking to somebody to
restraining and that's just the reality
of these situations and by officers
moving up the force continuum sometimes
it's the only way people will truly
understand the seriousness of the matter
now to keep it transparent guys I made
the mistake in my rookie years of
getting a retail theft call and thinking
this will probably just be a simple
catch make a report and transport but I
learned Qui that a retail theft can turn
into something else fast so today guys
we have Savannah Georgia police officer
that pulls up and he's immediately met
by some store employees that inform him
that a black male in a red shirt was
caught stealing and then once he was
caught he allegedly got physical with
one of the employees now the officer
does do a great job attempting to calm
this guy down but it doesn't work
because this guy is yelling and really
just speaking gibberish at this point
but he also has a hostile demeanor now
remember guys we've seen this before he
goes towards the store employees while
ignoring the officer and gets in the
employees face which causes a fight to
break out and they both have to be
separated by the officer but in my
opinion this man definitely appears to
be on something now that should have
been the end of it right but it rarely
is because the male refuses to get on
the ground and then he gets pepper
sprayed it appeared to have little
effect on him for the moment and this is
just another example of how these Radio
Calls can get out of hand because this
suspect goes from being defined to
pushing the officer and then he had to
be wrestled to the ground and during all
of this the officer had to hold his own
until back up arrived now the officer
did great trying to control this carotic
scene the best he could until his backup
arrived and once the mail was secured
they even made an attempt to flush his
eyes but the suspect even made that
difficult but the stressful part was
that this was an aggressive combative
and mentally unstable suspect that
police had to deal with however the sad
thing is for the suspect I believe it
was just another day of the week Raymond
was arrested for felony obstruction
terroristic threats simple assault
possession of a drug-related object and
interference with government operations
he is innocent unless proven guilty in a
court of law
