I I was like, "I don't know if you're joking or if you're serious." And he told me that he was serious and by the time I like turned and looked at the door, old boy was already coming in and he had his gun like waist like in in his trunk area. >> So he hold He was holding >> Yeah, he was holding it like this. This tall African-American. He black. Um bald. I think [snorts] he was wearing a beater or ripped shirt. I'm not 100% sure. He was kind of flinging the gun around, so So he hung out on that side of the counter for a couple minutes and I gave like like seconds and I gave him our our cordless. Well, when our cordless didn't work, he came around and was like pacing back here. He stopped next to the register and that's when my my coworker came up front cuz I was the only one up here. They had taken in the back. Mhm. And when he was using our phone, he's like stuck it underneath his arm. Okay. And so when he came in um initially, he came through the door, what did you do? Um you know, he he like flip-flopped in between the two doors like somebody call the cops. Um I need help. Somebody help me. It was like kind of like ping-pong, you know, like in the doorway. I saw a customer coming up with the drive, so I peeked my head out and I turned around. There's somebody old guy you better go. He said we were trying to get him arrested. Uh and that's when my phone got put away because I don't want to get shot and I'm not trying to get you arrested, but but we told him relatively we've called the cops. We've called them. And just kept asking us to call the cops. He He threw that phone down. He said "Throw the phone down." He said "I need another phone." >> Yeah, he said he needed another phone. We're trying to get him arrested. And then is that when you gave him your phone? >> I pulled my phone out. So I can let you know that phone was recovered. Okay. >> It's It would be found it on on scene. Okay. It's evidence. If that's Yeah, so So right right now it's evidence, so I can't get it back to you really. Can't get it back to you right now. >> That's fine. I just wanted you guys to know that he had it. Yeah, but it was recovered. I want to let you know that, okay? Um and so you gave him your phone. >> Yes. Okay. I've seen that guy before. >> Okay. And so I know it happened really fast. You saw him just run through the What Just tell me what you guys saw. You saw him first, what did you see? And I said He's screaming and yelling, "They're going to kill me." And I said, "Who are you?" And then the dog was there. But you guys were fast. Yeah. If I can't just you tell me what you saw and then you're going to tell me what you saw, okay? Okay. So he came in screaming and yelling. Yeah, "They're going to kill me. They're going to kill me." The dog started barking and uh and I got up and it looked like he She said "They're trying to kill me. They're trying to kill me." So he's standing there. I turned around, grabbed the shotgun off top of the door and tell Danny I'm I told him "Don't shoot." And it's hard for us to see because the sun's shining in that way. Mhm. And I could see like a dark figure. Yeah. Um And that was it. >> And it was hard for them to see, too. Yeah, I had a hard time seeing him. Then he I then we heard "Police, police." Well, we were called there cuz he had a gun and then well, he started running, so that's why we're fired Shoot at anybody? Um those are the kind of details we're gathering up. Last time we said we saw him leaving the house with it. Um and then he just He was running and some other stuff happened and this is the This is the house he ran up to and started to decide to run through. There was nothing in his hands when he walked in. Uh well, like I said, I was standing right there about where the cookies are. Um I heard the guy in the window say that there was a guy out there with a gun. And about the time that I heard that, I looked over and he was He was already coming through the door. Everybody started going into the game room. I I didn't know what to do. This is my first day. Yeah. Uh I came over here and like kind of ducked for a moment. Uh he came in and he was He wasn't waving the gun around, but he did have it out. Uh And he kept saying that he needed a phone. Someone needed to call the cops. And then about that time, I ran into the game room. Okay. Uh and then I was I was going to come back out here or at least pop my head out the door. Um I can't remember her name, but the girl that you just got a statement from was still out here, and I was going to try to wave her in there. And about that time, I saw him like go rushing towards the game room, and then I went off around the corner, so. Okay. All right. And the dude came through the door, and I made a beeline over here with him and everybody else, and I was going to call you guys from in there. Okay. And so, when you saw him, what did you see about him when he walked in? Uh he smeared blood on the on the door, and he had the gun pointing down. He wasn't pointing it at anybody or anything. And he screamed for 911, so I went back there and called 911. Okay. So, when he ran in, is Is that when you ran to the Pretty much, yeah, immediately. Okay. I think it's even more broke. Is it more broken than what it was? Yeah, it's all right. So, just have to make sure you identify it. So, this guy actually cut himself.
