And we took everything into consideration. And then you thought, what? Let's get let's just load on her plate some more and treat her like a piece of [ __ ] when she does everything. >> You are you like you called the cops. But you have to understand that we have to advocate for people who can't advocate for themselves. >> I advocate for them. >> Okay. >> Hey, you mind if I come in for a second? >> Yeah. We're just finishing up here. >> Okay. Well, Alyssa, just come out here with me. I just need to talk to you for a second. Okay. So, so here's what's happening. You're you're getting charged with a class A misdemeanor. Okay. >> What's that mean? [snorts] >> So, technically given the situation, you were placed under arrest, but we're not doing that because you obviously correct. >> Okay. >> So, it's >> they just told me that they said that you guys um technically by law because I was sleeping and that it wasn't a technical thing that you guys couldn't. >> So, you're not being >> charge me? >> Not being convicted of it. >> Okay. But given the given the past interactions with law enforcement that we've had leaving the house >> one >> and the the fact that you locked yourself out >> and >> I need locked myself out and called for help and now I understand. I understand. Look, this is not an easy situation. Okay, it's not even necessarily easy for me. All right, but this is given the situation. >> This is the route we're going to go. Okay, >> so technically this is going to show up as under like as an arrest. All right. you need to come down at a different time to come get fingerprinted. Okay? Obviously, we're not going to arrest you because you're the only person taking. So, we're not going to arrest you and do all that, but this is going to show up in your record as an arrest for a class A misdemeanor for endangering a child. Okay? Now, this doesn't mean you're being convicted of it. You're just being charged. So, you're given a court date. Your court date is going to be on July 10th at 9:00 a.m. at the at the courthouse right across the street from the police department. Okay? So, [clears throat] we need to we need to figure out a good day for you to come get fingerprinted. Okay. So, I'm going to put that down here. And that means you're you're going to have to show up next Thursday. Okay. >> So, it's going to be the 19th. >> Oh, shoot. Okay. >> Right. >> Yeah. >> So, that's going to be in 5 days. >> Right. >> I'll just move it. >> Um Okay. And I just need you to sign right here. This is just stating that you've been made aware of your court date and when you're going to show up for your fingerprinting. Okay. All right. I'm very glad to hear that everybody's okay. Um, so my recommendation um, going forward is that like you need some kind of other locks on your door. >> Like the one that I just pulled off there now have and I just forgot. So that's a good one. Can't make mistakes. >> Okay, that's a good one. But given the situation, you have to understand that we have to do our job, too. >> I know. I understand that. But then if I call you accidentally locked myself out of the house, you guys are going to use that against me. Like this is >> And we took everything into consideration. And then you thought, what? >> Let's get let's just load on her plate some more and treat her like a piece of [ __ ] when she does everything. that you are you like you're called the cop but you have to understand that we have to advocate for people who can't advocate for themselves >> I advocate for them >> okay >> sorry I found the lock that usually goes on the door that I just got >> when she started doing the chain lock >> um so [snorts] I know that they said there's going to be I'll let you first >> sorry I don't He's going to do by himself. >> Be right here. >> So, a couple things. Um, so either this officer here or another officer is going to, like I said, take care of, but we don't need to do that right this second. Um, they can get that information from you up to the hospital [snorts] while you guys are up there. Okay. Um, the other thing is, like I said, there is going to be a DCFS notification. DCFS isn't in the business of taking kids away. They're in the business of getting you help. I mean, it sounds like you're doing it all here by your I can't imagine. Okay. So, there's a lot of resources they're going to be able to offer you, but then there's also going to be a lot of resources that I'm going to be able to offer you on the back end. Um, some of the people that I work with. So, it's going to be kind of a scary thing today. I understand it's it sucks. Um, >> I understand. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> All right. So it's a 50 point.
