On October 29th, 2024, officers initiated a traffic stop after spotting a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. As soon as the car comes to a halt, two suspects bolt from the vehicle, making a break for it. A4 Santa Fe traffic. Uh, it's going to be a white SUV. I just had a male jump out, take off running. Hispanic, uh, gray shirt, brown shoes, uh, blue pants. Hey, quit running. Sheriff's office. Quit running. You're going to get tased. Quit running. Quit running. You're going to get tased. Hands out. A4 Santa F direct. Negative. You caught up with your traffic. Can you go again, please? I attempted to go traffic on a vehicle. I had two males flee. Taser deployed. I got one. Uh, I'm here on Tusa Drive. Why'd you run, ma'am? I don't know. Do not catch your lock. You're coming in covered in static. A4 San Fay. I got one male still out. He just jumped the fence on Tusa. 10 four. Taser to plate. Hands out. You're going to get it again. [Applause] Put your hands behind your back. Roll over on your side. See right there. Any weapons on you? Jump the ball over the 14 to the front room. Take off your shirt. A4 Santa Fe, be advised. He's running. Uh I just got notified by a Santa Fe County employee that he jumped the wall to the He's on the East frontage road. He's going to be on the East Frontage Road. Hispanic male, no shirt, blue jeans. the bag and everything else that he had. You have anything on you to stab me, poke me, cut me a 84 Santa Fe, start med my location. I got one uh detained. Just stay right here, bro. Just trust your legs. Where do you guys need us? I got one detained and uh the male that was driving. He is on the from I understand the East Frontage Road. stand for. Last description I got was Hispanic male, short black hair, um, no shirt, and, uh, blue jeans. Going to get up. You able to get out? Unit four is going to take the dirt road from east. Where you hurting, man? Just my Who's your buddy, dude? I just dispatch your rifle. All units on these furniture would be advised. Uh a witness said that he dropped a bag of some other items out there. Unknown 1080 at this time. I us walking over each other. What your sense? Is there anybody else in that vehicle? I didn't know about. With one of the suspects secured in the back of the squad car, the officers shift their attention to the driver who is still at large when suddenly they notice movement in the suspect's truck. Ready? Got sheriff's office. Make yourself known. Do it now. Let me see your hands. Nope. Nothing. Front clear. Back clear. Yep. Clear. Yeah. All [Music] right, take a short They ran the stop sign right there. They tried taking off. I cut up behind him right here. They jumped out. One took off running. Realized there was second one in there. I was just calling it out. The second one took off running. So I chased after him. The other one was already gone. So he took off running. I jumped the fence over here. Got him over here and tased him cuz he was wouldn't stop running on uh Vis. Is it Vista? The main one? Yeah. And I was coming down here to the stop sign and this white Cadillac Escalade just flew past the stop sign. So I came up behind it, lit it up, and they they bolted. Okay. The one ran one way, and as I was going after him, the other one jumped out. I chased him around this house right here. Okay, hold up real quick. Hold up. I chased him around right here. This fencing that's right here without the railing. He jumped over. He dropped a bag, jumped over it. I was telling him to stop. He wasn't stopping. We jumped over the fence. So, I chased him back around here on the street, back over here. Still wasn't stopping. I told him he's going to get tased. And taser, taser, taser. And I hit him with the taser over there. And then the other one, the other one, the other one I had him and there was a county worker. I don't even know where he went. Uh, hey, the dude running over there, but I saw the dude running. He taken off his shirt and uh kept going that way. And the county worker said that he was in a county truck and he said the dude jumped the wall on the east side. So he's front and drove and threw a bag and all kinds of stuff over the wall. So he went that way. If he went that way PBlo Garcia then. Yeah. Okay. I don't know who it was. Hey. After everything settled, the first suspect was processed and charged with fleeing and eluding along with active warrants for burglary. As for the second suspect, he managed to slip away for now, but with the evidence on hand, it won't be long before the cops close in on him.
