So what happened was >> all my faces he started stopping me. I lost earing hearing in my ear. Started ringing. I was literally making wings. I was sitting down eating. He came up to me and he was like, "You know, the baby's hungry. Make him a bottle." So, >> it's okay. You're good. >> Can we reach in and describe your ID? >> Everything. >> Thank you. >> Keep that like this. Okay. >> Just until medics get here. >> Who all in the apartment with you, man? >> Just you and your girlfriend or wife? >> Yes. Honestly, her cousin just left because she told her to leave. >> She was in that car. >> Yeah. I didn't want that car to leave. I was going to block it, but I know I needed it clear. >> What kind of car was in? >> It was like a SUV. >> Chevrolet. >> And so, >> whose whose family was that? >> Whose family was that? >> Hey, uh, tell her if she could tell her just come back and stay in the parking lot. Are the relationship right here? Let me get it real quick. Hold it with the other hand. Hold up. The >> I was trying to protect myself. >> Hold that and then give me this hand real quick. There you go. >> And you what again? >> I was trying to protect myself. >> He has to go to school. >> Okay. Give me a second, man. >> Give me a second. holding my hands up and she was like, like I said, look like she was trying to [ __ ] like literally like >> honestly Chucky style like you know what I mean? >> And so the arguments you I mean how had you been arguing since last night? >> I cheated. Yes. Honestly last night. >> Yes. It escalated over over to the morning >> and uh so both of you just went back and forth about you having an affair. Okay. What kind of knife was it? >> It was a I I honestly didn't check, but I could have sworn >> a kitchen knife or is it a pocket knife? >> Kitchen knife, but like a butter knife or like a steak. >> I'm not too sure. Bus. I'm not too sure. >> Or did it all start off in the kitchen or the bedroom? >> Bedroom. >> Bedroom. >> Because she she grabbed it. She grabbed it and she started going off. >> And so last night when y'all had Did y'all finally stop? Just y'all just put it to bed or just >> No, I tried putting I tried putting my son to sleep and she came in. She was like, "She's still arguing with you about you having prepared. Did she just find out about it or she knew about it already for a while?" >> Okay. Do you have family here or anybody else for the baby or anything? >> My baby. >> I just want to make sure he's safe. I don't want >> Yeah. Do you have family for the baby? Like >> for the baby? >> Yeah. [screaming] Like your your mom, sister, brother? >> Mom, I mean >> medication. and we'll come to that one. >> If you want it up against the wall, dude, you can. >> You don't feel Do you feel woozy or kind of Yeah, I'm just leaning against the wall for now. And then I'm going to get him. I'm going to get him out real quick. >> Yeah. No, for sure. Cuz he's got a good >> Okay. Yeah. >> But you feel okay right now? >> You don't feel lightheaded or anything, man? >> I just I'm obviously really [ __ ] emotionally hurt. >> No, I got you. I got you, man. They're going to come check you out right now. >> That's all I care about. >> Okay. >> It's okay. >> Thank you. I said, "You make him a bottle." Cuz I told him he started fighting with me before he put his hands on me. He dragged me in front of my daughter and I had her leave with the family member. [clears throat] So, I didn't want her no pardon. >> Um, so she heard everything. I'm sorry. I can I can I sit down? >> Yes, please. >> My head is so dizzy. >> That That's okay. Go ahead. >> Um, >> you're okay. >> So, he came over here and he was like, You ready? My name is Daniel. What's yours? >> Darien. >> Say it again. >> Darien. >> Darien. What's your last name, Darian? >> Good job. >> She was also here in the apartment. >> Okay. So, go ahead. Finish that. >> Okay. So, started off whatever. A song had came on and it was talking about like um an Asian female, whatever. And I said, "A Asian persuasion." That's what I said. >> And he was like, "Well, how do you know about that?" Whatever. So, I went on the porn site, whatever. And I showed him, "Okay, whatever." >> So, and he was like, "Oh, yeah, whatever. Whatever." When he started talking [ __ ] and then he was he dragged me. >> Where's the knife? >> I don't know. >> And which one is it? Do you know? >> I can walk you around the house. >> We'll do that here in a second. Where's it at? >> It's a butter knife. >> A butter knife? >> Yeah, it's a butter knife. Like I said, I was putting wings. I had >> taken all out. >> Okay. So, then go ahead. You took him to the point, you know, tell him about that. Whatever. So, he dragged me around, whatever. room. We started talking and then I walked out of the room. >> When you say he drag you around, what do you mean? >> I have knots on my head. >> Okay. >> By my hair. Like >> So he grabbed you by the hair. >> He's dragging me around. Yeah. Slapping me around. >> Open hand. But was he punching? >> No. No punching. Open hand. >> Open hand. Okay. >> Did it hurt when any of that was happening? >> I got to ask. You don't have to ask. >> He's a grown man. >> That's okay. Okay. >> Um And then >> well, like I said, he came over here, he came picking at me, whatever. It had already been way past the discussion, you know. >> Well, then he came over here, he was picking at me. I was eating and he was like, you know, whatever. And I told him, I said, "You know what? Just sign your rights over. I don't want to deal with this. Like, you're being ugly. I don't want to deal with this shit." Like, I don't. And um he was like, "Yeah, for real." So he was like, "You know what? Whatever." Like just talking [ __ ] Why? I went to the room. >> I said, "You know what?" Cuz he locked himself in the room to lay down on the bed. >> Mhm. >> So I unlocked the door with a butter knife. I was using that knife for the wings, whatever, for the butter. Well, I used that knife to unlock the door and I held the knife in my hand cuz he's been fighting all night. >> Mhm. >> Didn't do nothing. Didn't, you know, whatever. [snorts] Then he slapped me. I lost hearing in my ear. So it just came like I just self-defense. >> I'm the same, >> you know. So I used a knife and he kept coming at me, hitting me like I don't know. >> When you say you use a knife, how how'd you use the knife? Where where'd you cut him or or >> just wherever? I was just swinging it because >> Okay. to get them off. >> That was the only way to defend myself. >> Okay. I I completely understand. That makes perfect sense to me. Okay. Okay. And I see you have marks all over you. >> And I didn't want to do that. I didn't want to hurt him. That was never my intention. But he's he's putting his hands on me. And I have a baby here. I had my daughter here. Like, what do I do? What do I I don't know what to do. >> Yes. >> Like I don't know. >> You're okay. You're okay. >> Darien. Right. >> I was just trying my best to keep my calm. >> Mhm. >> And I know like we've we've been in the past like >> Mhm. violence, like domestic violence, whatever. And it has it's been a long time, you know. [snorts] So, I thought things were okay. And like I said, like and it wasn't even like I can show you on my phone the other day. He literally choked me out. >> I didn't call the cops to the downstairs. >> Yes. >> Yeah, that works. >> I literally choked him out because I mean I I took pictures cuz he choked me out and >> I went to his house. Can I grab my phone? I will show you. I have pictures. >> No, I understand. Yeah. It was the other day. Wasn't it was >> yesterday or the day before yesterday? I can't remember. >> Okay. >> I went to his house. I was drinking. >> He said that [snorts] >> I went over there and I started choking him. I don't remember. I was drunk. >> I'm not going to lie, you know. So, I went over there. I was acting crazy. And he did like he swung me around. He choked me out. I have pictures like >> I can see you have marks right now. Still I had my foot. I have a bruise on my foot from whenever, you know, like >> Yes, ma'am. >> And still like I still took him back thinking, okay, you know, we're fine. Okay, whatever. Like, and no. And like I told him, sign over your rights. Like this is going to be your last night seeing yourself. So, I'm not going to do this with you. I have other kids. My daughter was here. Like I said, I sent her with a family member. I don't want her involved in any of this issue. Like, >> I don't know what to do. >> I don't know. I don't know. >> And that was from the other night. >> That's okay. Yeah. Let me see what he said. >> But mainly he was just like I said from dragging me around for my hair. He slapped me two or three times in my face. I lost hearing. >> Yeah. You're swollen on this side right here. Your This side of your face is swollen right here by your eye. You actually have a big red mark >> on your eyeball. I can see marks all over you. I I I see it 100%. >> And like I said, I was just trying to defend myself. That's not what I wanted to do. But and I do like I love him obviously. Like I wouldn't keep going back, you know, but I'm compared to him. What could I do? Yep. >> So, I had that in my hand. Like I said, I unlocked the door. I was making wings. I used the butter knife for the butter for the >> What was your reason for going into that room? [snorts] >> I was telling him to leave. >> I was telling him to get out of here and then he swung me around and he No, he doesn't live here. He lives at >> not not Apple Creek, >> but uh the Bordeaux apartments. I think that's what it's called. >> Okay. He said bedroom. >> Um, [snorts] >> Bordeaux or Apple Creek. >> It's the Bordo. Those blue ones. The ones. >> So, he has his own apartment. >> Yeah, he does. >> Okay, I got you. And you just wanted him to leave. >> I Yeah, I just simply I genuinely wanted him to leave cuz he was he had already done what he did before. Didn't make a big deal, you know, whatever. He [snorts] came over here. He wanted me to make him a bottle. I said I wasn't going to make him a bottle. Like I said, so enjoy your time with him right now. You do what you got to do. And he went into the room and I was like, "You know what? No." Like, "Just get out of the house. Just leave." He locked the door on purpose. Like literally, he set this up. He knew I was going to react the way that I was going to react. And that's how it ended. Like, this is what he wanted. That's literally how I feel. And after him beating my ass consecutively, now he calls the cops. [snorts] >> So he called 911 first. >> He did because obviously like I used the whatever I had in my hand. You know what I mean? So I and I get it. >> I get it, you know. But >> he's been doing this. Like I said, I can show you the pictures in my phone where he choked me and I have marks on my neck. >> I got Do you want to be seen by medics right now? Um, I mean, >> you're pretty swollen. >> Yes, please. >> Is this your baby, too? >> Yeah, this is my baby. >> Okay. >> No lacerations. Um, he he'd been he had been beating on her uh throughout the night and into the morning time. >> Okay. >> So, that's what we have here. >> Um, I would I would say no, but I mean, ask her. I guess he was requesting if the baby could go with him. I didn't know. >> Go with who? >> The Yeah, that's the man bleeding. >> Yeah, but he's in >> Yeah, he's not even free to go yet. Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. No, no, >> that's what I'm saying. Like he started all the >> I I understand. I understand. I got one side. I'll get the other one. >> You want to? Yeah. I'm going to talk to you outside also. Um but yeah, go check it out for us, please. Absolutely. >> And uh see what happens there so we can get >> We'll have her walk us around cuz she she knows where it's at more or less. Um she knows where Tony was once she gets checked out. Right now, everything's slowing down. Um there's more detail on this side. So >> just real quick, the lady here said that she works the baby. I don't know if yall want to keep getting with her if you want her to get the baby or not. Cool. >> The neighbor says she usually I'm familiar with the neighbor, >> but give us one second before we bring anybody else in. >> We're also going to tell you about that, too. >> So you can come over here if you want. You want to listen to the details. So what we have so far is he doesn't live here. That's baby daddy. Um baby mama. We're trying to work things out. And last night, of course, he comes over and they're drinking. They're they're both under the influence and she makes some comments, some some >> he cheated on her >> funny sexual comments. Um and um like what she told him was like Asian persuasion [ __ ] He gets all pissed off like what does that mean? What does that mean? So she shows him a porn site or whatever the case is. And next thing you know, whis starts beating on her. So he starts slapping with an open hand. She said grabs her by the hair. She's kned up on her head and it's just taking her throughout the house just warping on it. She has marks all over. Uh her face right now, she has a huge mark right here where you can see that one actually looks like a punch mark. She's saying open hand. Um but her face is just real swollen right in here. So then um this is now uh goes into the morning time and she's like, "You know what? This is the last time you're going to see your son. Like you spend time with him right now cuz that's the last bottle you're going to make. Make that bottle for him. I'm not going to make shit." He goes into her into a bedroom, locks himself in there. She gets a butter knife. She goes and she goes to unlock. She unlocks the door with a butter knife. When she does that, he comes out. >> Are y'all going to Are y'all going to want to talk to me? >> Yes. Yeah. He's definitely not free to leave. Um >> I'll be right there. >> I'm going to see what my medic wants to do. Apparent she >> I recommend that she goes because she has some problems to her head to the face. >> We're getting some good pictures of her. >> Yeah. But with the kid, I don't know how neighbor we'll take care of that. That'll be on us. Yep. So, anyways, long story short is she opens up the the unlock door, opens it, that dude comes over here. What are you going to do with that? >> [ __ ] Popped it right in the ear. She goes, "I can't hear anymore." She goes, "So, he wants to slack around again and get me." So, I just started swinging whatever I had in my hand, which is a butter knife. I just started swinging it around to get him away from me. And then, of course, she cuts him and then he calls 911. So that's the story that we have right now >> on her. >> You know, now they're both intoxicated. >> Okay. >> And I think he has one here. >> I I didn't see I didn't see what he had. >> He has one on the back. >> You got a good picture on him. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I took the cut on his face, front. I need back, but they were already trying to take him. I took side. He has a small cut on his hand. Whether it's a he reached to try to take it from her. So he has a cut on there. You could see him. And so then um >> he's saying that Yeah. uh that they were arguing since last night and that um hold on real quick. So they were arguing they were arguing since last night and that um it it started in again this morning >> and then that um that he was with the baby. He was either trying to put the baby to bed or something like that. He did admit that it was about him cheating. That's what they were arguing about. He says I cheated on her. He says we've just been arguing about it. So >> okay. So she didn't mention that. But anyways, that that's that's even besides the point. All right. So cool. So let's keep one officer with him. That way he doesn't take off. Depending on on the injuries, depending on what >> Yeah. I don't think honestly they didn't look because I I thought he was going to be like gushing. It's like a >> go get the pictures of the back of his head. >> Um and for for you >> the knife. >> Uh do you have you have your your iPad? >> Yeah, I can get it. >> Okay. You know what? >> I have my Well, I don't have my work phone. It's downstairs. >> Yeah, I was going to say my work phone. You'll get your iPad. We'll start taking a picture of the scene and take a picture of uh of her. >> Okay. >> He'll get his iPad that way. Just keep it all in one. >> Yeah. [clears throat] Yeah, we'll do that. >> Yep. >> Hey, Darren. >> Darren. Hey, your neighbor said uh she can she can watch the baby. You okay with that? >> My neighbor right here? >> Yep. >> Yeah. >> You okay with that? >> Yes, that is fine. >> And a couple other things I want to get checked out. She's probably going to be transported. There's also >> we're going to need to get some pictures of you. Okay, >> that's fine. in the apartment going to have to come with one of us. >> I think they're waiting for the neighbor to take the baby. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> All right. So, I have another medical unit on the way. I'm going to check you out real quick. They're going to get you here and they're going to take you to the hospital. Okay. >> I just need to get back. >> Okay. Go ahead and do that. >> Come on. >> If if you can do one thing right now, the only thing we need right now, and we'll get everything else here in a little bit. If you'll just get the baby with you. Just get the baby comfortable over there. We'll get a diaper bag, food, all that here in a bit. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. >> How long is she going to be? >> How long the hospital? >> Good. Good question. >> Yeah. So, >> okay. >> Yeah. Yes, ma'am. Please and thank you. >> It's so [ __ ] embarrassing. >> It happens. >> No, but like it shouldn't. >> It's okay, Mom. We know that. You know, we're here to [clears throat] help you. Okay. [gasps] Hey, with the door closed so you can get it apartment 806 or you already got that? >> I got 806. >> All right, cool. >> Mom, do you have a driver's license? >> It's on the table or in my restaurant? It's somewhere. >> Okay, cuz I can just scan it. I can just ask you your information. >> What is that? >> It doesn't look like blood. It almost look like looked like a blood splatter, but dry. >> See that? >> Yeah. There's like a right here, too. Look. >> Yeah, there flakes. >> Blood's not going to flake up like that. It's going to dry up real hard. >> That's not blood. >> Hey, Mom. So, so where did this happen at? >> You want to stand up for me? >> Yeah. >> You okay? >> I just feel a little dizzy. >> Okay. >> So, hey, real quick. Let's Let's work on photographs with her, Davis. >> Before they before they start taking the baby in here. >> Hold on. whole body and then we'll we'll zoom in on look straight into the camera so we can get a a good >> Is the lighting okay? >> Yeah, it works. >> Turn that way. Can you see this right here? Right behind her ear. >> Zoom out. >> And then on this other side, you'll be able to see bruising from the other night too as well. >> Look, lift your neck up. Okay. Under there. And then [snorts] blood. Blood on her chest right here. Marks on her chest. >> And then the blood right here on her bust and stomach area. Zoom out. There you go. Like that. All right. So we'll do her arm. You already got it. So, >> rotate your arms. >> Medic, can you bring your way back, please? >> Oh, there's like a shadow. It's like a weird shadow. >> You can step out here. >> You have a You have a flash on there. Put the flash on. >> Um All right. Uh we got photos of the scene that there was a baby here also >> cuz they're wanting to take him to the hospital already. I will. >> He's going to go to the hospital. >> Yeah, >> it's very it's superficial. >> That's okay. That's okay. >> I get it. But I mean, >> yeah, let let them take him to the hospital. >> So, follow the ambulance. >> He's being he's being uh he's uh being compliant. He doesn't know yet that he's >> It's going to be a hospital trip for him. He's going to the He's going to the hospital. >> Yeah. So, we we can write it up right now. >> Okay. >> We can write it up, but the charges will be on him for ages. >> Okay. >> A Gasol for the beating. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Um she's she's pretty banged up. >> Oh yeah, for sure. I I mean I saw a little bit but I was listening. >> No charges on on her on that side >> because that's an act of self-defense. >> And so what do you want me to tell the guys cuz they're following the ambulance or uh Alaman rode with the ambulance to the hospital. >> Yeah. >> I know it was a little too late cuz the ambulance wanted to leave. >> That's okay. That's okay. We can call him on the phone and we can just tell him. Do you have his number? >> Yeah. For Alam? >> Yeah. >> And so just tell him that we're going to write it up. him being the aggressor. >> Unless they're going to sit with him. >> I don't. >> But but we'll ask. We'll ask. We'll ask. >> Okay. Nothing yet. And the butter knife. It's okay, Emma. We'll We'll look We'll look for the knife. Are you still looking for baby stuff? >> No. Well, that was the first thing that I was looking for was the knife. >> No, don't worry about the knife. We'll we'll handle the knife. Okay. >> Yo, >> if you want them, put them over there. We'll see how long it's going to take. And if you want we can >> Yes. Okay. If if if we >> Dude, that's perfect cuz we can 95 for Agazole. >> Okay. Then we'll >> Yeah. Family. Thank you so much, man. >> All right. >> I honestly don't know. I'm going to go wash this part. >> Okay. So, I'll tell you what. Washing and all that stuff. She can take care of all that. Okay. >> She can take care of it. Right now, what's important to us is that you get the the baby stuff together and that we find this knife. Okay. >> I honestly don't know where. >> That's okay. We're going to look for it. We're going to We'll We'll help you and we're going to be Actually, we're going to be the ones looking for it. Okay. >> Okay. >> I have to use the restroom. >> Yeah. Where where's the restroom at? >> It's right here. >> All right. Real quick, may I go in there? Just make sure the knife's not in there before you. >> It's okay. Thank you. >> What color is a butter knife? >> It's a silver. Just regular >> regular. >> Good man. I'm going to use the restroom. >> Go in the sink or anything like that? I honestly don't remember. Everything happened so fast. I don't remember. >> That's okay. You can use the restroom. We'll be searching in here for the knife. >> What you got? >> In case it's superficial and they cut him loose, I'm going to start the booking sheet. >> And so, um, he's going to get 95. I'm going to start the booking sheet just by chance. They're going to ask how long it's going to take at the hospital. So, if he's not there, 95. >> Yeah, Alam is sitting there for now. So, they're going to ask how long it's going to take. It's not going to take too long. He's getting 95. So, it's um it's aggravated assault, family violence with the weapon. Okay. >> For him, it's aggravated assault. Serious bodily injury >> on her? On her? >> She's the one that had >> Yeah, she's the one she was defending herself, right? >> All right. All right. >> You have gloves on you. >> There's some on that couch, too. >> Okay. Thank you. I'll go get them. Uh he's got some right here on the couch. Got it. I'm going to go start that booking. >> Thank you. Real quick, we're not charging you with a crime, by the way. >> Okay. We are not being charged with a crime. >> Well, I just want you to know Listen to me. >> I'm not hiding anything. >> I've been completely honest. Yes, ma'am. >> I honestly don't. Like I said, >> everything happened in the past. >> I don't know what That's okay. We're not charging with a crime. Okay. >> I just >> My my thing is we will be placing him under arrest. >> Okay. I just want you to know that. [snorts] >> And that's not what I wanted either. >> I know that. I know that. But nobody has your rights to put their hand on you. It's not fair. It's not fair to you. It's not fair to your baby. [snorts] >> Okay. [sighs] [gasps] >> This is for the for the child, right? Anything else for the baby? >> Um I need to get his water. >> Okay. Here. Let's just set this right Let's just set this down for for a second. >> Right here. That way you can do your thing. Were y'all in this room by any chance? >> No. >> Okay. >> We weren't in this room. Not in there, not in that restroom. Okay. Just >> here. When I unlocked the door, he was laid on the bed, >> right? >> Pulled the blanket off of him. I told him, "Get out." You know, go home. Like I said, he has his own place, >> right? I remember that. >> I said something. >> He got upset. So that's whenever everything happened and I never let the knife go. So like I said, like he swung me around. >> He defended me. So, I was just trying to defend myself. >> I know. >> Well, I didn't know what else to do. Like, >> you're okay. You're okay, Mom. >> But it's not okay. That's not okay. >> Listen to me. The entire situation is not okay. >> I know it's not. >> But the important thing is like my my baby's here and then I have to leave with my neighbor, >> right? >> And for what? For what? Like, I just I don't understand. >> I know. I know. Listen. But what I what I do need is I do need your consent. I I need your consent to search for this knife throughout your residence to make sure that we find this knife. >> Okay. >> I honestly don't even feel comfortable with everybody being in my home. To be honest, I don't that's not what I >> This is your home. Exactly. Right. >> And I don't feel comfortable with that. I don't That's why I'm sitting here like I'm trying to help you. I don't know. I don't >> That's okay. May I continue searching for the knife? >> I mean, I don't really have any other choice. >> You always have a choice. That's why it's a question for you. >> We We want to make sure. >> I just don't want you to be like an issue on me. Like I said, I'm being completely honest with you guys. Like, >> if if you're thinking that we're looking for drugs, it's not the case. >> No, I don't. >> Okay. So, I can smell the weed in the bathroom. >> But like I said, like >> and we're not worried about that right now. That's the least of our worries. >> That's never my concern. >> And right now, you're not being charged. You are not you are not a suspect in a crime. As a matter of fact, right now you're the victim. >> Okay, that's that's all right. >> Upset. >> Of course you are. I would be too. >> Look at my house. >> It's dirty.
