During my 29 years as a police officer in Florida, I've had husbands beg me to let their wife go. This one told the officers to take her. >> Everything fine? >> Yeah. Obviously drained her and my side of the bed. >> Again, someone called 911. They were concerned. Yes, ma'am. >> Okay, I'll go. Cuz I don't know I was just with my boyfriend. Who is there? >> AKK. >> Okay, amazing. Thank you. >> You said your girlfriend lives here? >> So much, yeah. >> All right. Ma'am, ma'am, come here for a second. Come here. >> What do you need? >> Okay, are you staying here at the hotel? >> No, I have a >> What room does your girlfriend live in? >> need to answer that. >> Ma'am, come here for a second. Stop. Listen, you got a baby. Stop and relax. >> No, I don't trust you. I don't know you. >> Ma'am, stop. Just relax. >> Freaking me out. >> no, no, relax. >> All right, whatever is going on, you're freaking me out. >> Relax. >> Hey, what? We got called by a passerby. >> You can relax. You're not in any trouble. >> I'm not in trouble. Trying to figure out what's going on. I literally just showed Call my husband right now. I don't trust you. I don't know you. Call my husband right now. What do you So, what's happening? >> It's okay, ma'am. Where do you live? >> I live across the street. >> Where? What's your address? >> Uh What is your address? Why do I have to answer? >> Ma'am. >> know where what is happening. I feel really threatened by all of you. >> What's your husband's number, ma'am? I'll call him for you. What's his number? >> You're okay. You're not in trouble. >> I'm on private property. I don't know why >> Ma'am, you're not staying here. >> supervisor. >> I can pay for this. I don't know who you are. >> I'm the supervisor. Let me just talk to you for a second, okay? >> Who are these people? >> They are the police. That's the first thing. >> I don't trust you. >> Ma'am, can you please listen? >> I will. >> I'm a >> Can you give me Can you give me your name? >> What's the phone number? >> Let me know how your husband's doing. >> What's the phone number, ma'am? What's the phone number? Okay. No, I don't have time for this. Listen, ma'am. >> All right, the thing is she's probably committed no crime, but they're obviously very concerned about this kid. Like, the kid was like crawling to the street when when the first officer pulled up. I think that she seems a little intoxicated. She's coming across that way. We'll see what their observations are, but their main concern is the kid. >> What's happening? >> Give us the name and then let us call your husband so we can get to the bottom of >> Listen, you want to call your husband. >> Yeah, obviously you're a little intoxicated. I can smell the alcohol coming off your mouth. But it's not it's not against the law to have a drink. But the way you're acting >> I am freaking out with all of you. >> We're worried about the KID. >> AND I WAS TRAFFICKED AS a young woman and I dealt with that. I don't trust any of you. >> Okay. >> second. You need to wait. Get out of my face. Get out of my face. >> to go to jail. >> I'm not going to go to jail, I'm >> So, why don't you cooperate with your husband's phone number so we can call him and find out what's going on? >> What is happening? >> Are you going to talk to me immediately? >> Yeah, I don't know what's going on. >> Listen, I'm I'm Officer Charles. I'm a >> I just want to go home. I don't know what I did. >> We want to help you get home. >> Are you injured in the line of duty? >> Do you have a husband or someone you can call? Can you give us his number? We'll call him so you can get home. >> Yes, we park here often to go to music class with our son. >> What's his phone number? >> 561 >> And what's his name? >> MATTHEW. >> MATTHEW. >> WHY ARE you guys all surrounding me? No, I don't trust any of you. >> What's your name? Just give us your us your first name. >> Call him again. I don't trust I don't know who any of you are. >> Can we verify the phone number so WE >> YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, I DON'T CARE, BUT I'M FREAKING OUT BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHO THE YOU ARE AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT I DID. I DON'T TRUST YOU. I JUST WANTED TO GO HOME to my husband. >> I know. I know, but listen. >> I just had my husband parked here. >> Okay. >> Look, my car is in here. I am >> What do you drive? >> I'm trying to go home. >> Tell me what you drive. >> Really? What do you mean? >> Just tell me what you drive. >> For my husband to go home. >> Yes, but we're we're trying to help you with that. We're trying to help you with that. >> Oh, that officer was so right. His instincts were to throw his arms out because she was about to dump that baby. I mean, she probably had a good grip on him, I hope, um, because the baby's face is redacted so you can't tell where her arms were, but man, that was a close call. It seemed like a close call. >> I'm scared, okay? I'm sorry. I've been in a car for the past two months. I don't WANT TO TALK TO ANY OF YOU. There's no way. Yes. I don't want to talk to any of you. >> We're not Listen, we're we're >> No, you have nothing to do with me at all. I don't know why you're here AND I'LL NO. >> WELL, LISTEN. I'll explain it to you. >> I don't need you to explain it to me. >> Is there anyone else that we can call? >> Call him again. Call him again. Go over it over. >> Just what? >> Something tells me she's done that before. >> Who's Alexandria? >> It's me. Are you kidding me? >> I don't know your You didn't You didn't give us your name. >> What do you mean? What am I doing? That's illegal. >> Nothing. >> All right, bye. >> No, you're not. >> No, wait. You said you cannot detain me. I'M GOING TO JAIL. WHY AM I GOING TO JAIL? What's the >> Listen TO ME. >> PLEASE, CALL the police on my behalf. I don't KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING. NO, SIR. I WILL NOT give you my child. Sir, sir, I'm not doing any I'm not doing anything. I'm not resisting anything. >> You're not You're not It's okay. Okay, that was smooth. Nobody wants to take a child away from their mom. But, when you don't know the status, you don't know the situation, you don't know if she's having a meltdown, you don't know if she's just drunk, or you have no idea what the deal is here. You got to kind of separate the kid from her because the first concern is that kid. We got to make sure that the kid is safe. >> Why am [snorts] I being detained? What's the charge? >> We are not in the right state of mind right now. >> Okay. >> You are not in the right state of mind right now. So, we're trying to get to the bottom of it. We're trying to give you somebody to call, then we can work it out. >> No, I feel Thank you so much. Your body cam should show you this side. >> What's your name? What's your name, ma'am? >> My name is Alexander Um I do not have any pending arrest or anything. I just Who's asking? Who's my arresting officer? Why am I being arrested? Where Where is my sign line? Look, I'm not trying to arrest anyone. I'm trying to follow the law. >> I'm not trying to arrest you. I'm just trying to get you some help. So, what is your date of birth? >> Tell me You're not trying to help me. It's okay. You can just lie. Yes, I have a huge family that lives with me. I don't >> What is What do they say? >> They all live in the same neighborhood right here. >> Okay. >> Um his father is right here. >> What's his father's number? His father. You have a cell phone? >> Yes. >> Where is your cell phone? >> Are you kidding me? I'm um sir, like clearly you're detained. I cannot get my cell phone. >> Where is it? >> I don't know. It's in my belongings. If you have a a cell phone, um gladly going to give you a number to call for his father. 561 I don't understand why I'm being arrested at all. I have plenty of money to pay for my stay here. I don't know why you're detaining me whatsoever. I have not fought you at all. >> attitude right now is about >> Oh, that's not illegal, sir. Thank you so much. >> Your state of mind you're in is illegal. >> No, not at all. No. It's not. Thank you so much. >> worried about the kid. >> Wonderful. Glad you're worried about the kid. Okay. >> Obviously you had too much to drink. >> I have not been out, sir. Thank you so much. >> I I I I refuse to believe that. >> Okay. Palm, where is my husband? >> I'm trying to call him. >> I'm trying to call him right now. >> Oh, what? The one number I gave you? 561? >> Quick one. If you want the follow-ups on these cases plus trial updates and some of the dumbest criminal stories I come across, that's the Off Duty Report. Free. Links below. Okay, keep watching. >> Guys, please have my phone or any phone. We have We have I don't even know what I'm detained for. What am I detained for? You have my ID. You have my son. What am I detained for? What the am I detained for? Let go of me. Let go of my son. You don't have any right to hold either of us. >> We got a call saying that she was in the middle of the road. Baby was falling in the in the on the on the middle of the road. Yeah, picked her up, dragging the baby. So we get here, start to run away from us. So I don't know you guys. Walk away from us. Being all weirded out. >> All right, guys. >> Are you detaining her? >> Yeah, just cuz she was she was >> No, no, no. >> No, she was wigging out, so Maybe. We don't know yet. We're trying to find out a >> I want to know why this is happening, sir. Anybody document this. Why is this happening? >> body cameras. >> Okay, right. Why is this happening? >> Cuz you are not in the right frame of mind and we are concerned. >> call my mom. I can call anybody. >> What's your mom's number? >> 561 Let's go. >> We got an extra syllable. 561 uh >> What did I do? Anybody? >> You are obviously intoxicated. This kid is out in the cold. What do we have on? >> Okay. >> Okay. This is the spot. Now, all we're trying to do is help you. If you can give us someone that we can contact with a good number that's going to come down here and explain what's going on >> So, nobody is So, nobody is coming. If they obviously haven't picked up the phone. So, I guess we have to go. I don't know what to say to you. >> So, you want to go to jail? >> No, I don't want to go to jail. My son is well taken care of. I don't know who you you are and why I'm being detained. >> All right, go to jail. >> No, I don't want to go to jail. I don't know what the happening. >> Then give us a number TO CALL. >> I'VE ALREADY SAID A COUPLE NUMBERS to call. >> They're not answering. Anybody else we can call? >> Please. 601 I don't know. I don't have my >> Ma'am, do you know their address? >> Yes, I do. It was right here. I don't see it. >> What's the address? >> I don't know what to do. I can't get anywhere. >> And is it Nancy? >> Yeah. >> No, it's not Lake Worth. This is West Palm. What the [ __ ] do you want us to do? I'm not a child. I'm not a [ __ ] child. >> home? >> I don't know what to do. My son is with his dad. >> Okay. Mike Michael? >> Yeah, Michael. >> Do you want to sit down? >> Yeah. Yeah, okay. >> He's in. I'm fine. I'm not well. I'm doing it. Shock therapy. Here you go. I'm not well anyway. It's >> Why are you in shock therapy? >> Because of the They used to crazy me before. I'm not well. >> Okay, so she's um given indications that she's intoxicated because she smells like alcohol and she's not acting right. Like she's This is not normal behavior, especially with the little kid out. She doesn't necessarily need to go to jail, either. But if this continues, there's some decisions to be made. >> I don't know what I'm doing. What am I doing? >> We're just stepping in. We're just taking you to the hospital. We're going to take you over there to your house. We're just taking you to another spot. >> [crying] >> Is he home over there? Is he home? >> Is he Is he taking me to my home? >> Is he home? >> We're going to try to take you to the >> Okay, then that's where we're trying to go. >> We're just going to help you. >> That's where we're >> I'm scared. >> We're just going to help you, okay? It's okay. Can I help you put your seat belt on? >> No, I don't I don't trust you. >> Okay. On the floor? >> So Can you just tell me a little bit about what happened? >> Yeah, yeah. >> It's okay. Okay. >> I was coming home >> Uh-huh. >> and I came into my garage at 2:30. >> Okay. >> I I'm just I'm not wired >> not wired. >> No, it's okay. Take your time. >> wired that way. We appreciate you calling. >> I could not. So I So anyway, she There's two entrances on Two City. Right? So she starts walking in and Lewis is the parking attendant. And we love Lewis. And we have a thing and she said to me, he said, "Tracy, what's" And I see this girl walking up cuz now it's a hill to come out to Trinity. And she's walking like that. The baby was like a ragdoll. Like a ragdoll. And Lewis got very upset and he says, "Are you Where are you from?" I said, "I live here." She said, and she goes, "I don't know you. What What number?" You know? >> Right. >> So he didn't want to have a problem and he called the front desk at Two City. He just knows his job, you know? And I said, "You know what? Let me take my car and come through to Trinity and see if I can help And maybe she's lost, has no money, she's I don't know. I I saw this This child was in a Pamper. >> I understand. >> You know, like it's the coldest weather today, you know? God, you're dressed chilly. And I'm like, "Okay." And she told me to go go off. >> Okay. >> But she didn't seem drunk. It was like she was on drugs or something. I don't know. And I said, "Ma- Ma'am, I'll help you. You know, the baby, it's it's cold." >> Yeah. >> So when I pulled up, it Oh, it's all going to be on the camera in the Hilton on the campus. It has to be. >> Okay. >> When I pulled up, I drive a navy um convertible and I pulled up and the baby >> What's the story? >> No exaggeration. I can't even make this up. It was off the curb crawling like by the yellow line. And the cars are like that. >> And where was she at? >> Like it was like this. >> So the baby was crawling in the street? >> The baby was in the street when I pulled up. That child >> Okay. >> This lady was right to call. This is enough to give anybody nightmares. To see a baby crawling on the street and the mother's really not well enough to kind of tend to the baby. >> Yeah. >> All right. My son my but bottom line my son is okay? >> Son's okay, wife's okay. You can tell me you were with >> [clears throat] >> I never could see you. Okay. I'm I'm here with the officer right now. >> Okay. >> Yes, sir. Thank you very much. >> What's your name? Michael? >> Matthew. >> Matthew, excuse me Matthew. >> Uh I got to figure because I've been trying to get a hold of her for 3 hours now. >> I got you. >> And I I got a hold of her probably 30 minutes ago and she said she was on her way home and I asked her I said, "Are you intoxicated?" She started laughing and joking and saying, "No, I'm not drunk." Same time. >> Got you. >> around with my child. I'm sorry. I love that woman to death, but that's my child. >> Mhm. >> And no. >> Completely understand. I'm a dad myself. >> to do with her, she needs to learn her lesson. >> She's okay. It's she's more than welcome to go with you, but we just want to make sure the child at the end of the day is okay. >> Yes, absolutely. >> Do you need a ride over there? Do you want to drive over there? >> I can drive myself. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> Where are you guys Where's she located? >> So it's the AKA Hotel. >> Do you got a >> you can give me a call, but I'm going to shoot back that way, all right? >> Okay, thank you. She got it. >> Hello? What's What's your name? >> Nobody has a tail on me for a lawful reason. >> Do you know that sound familiar? >> Yeah, he knows. >> Oh, he came over, right? Okay. All right. He's on his way. >> Yeah, thank god. >> Good catch. >> What's the story? >> saw it. >> Yeah, where where do we think Mom was? >> So, Mom is was supposed to be at a friend's house at One City uh Towers, I believe it's One City Towers. >> Yeah, okay. >> Um, she was supposed to be at a friend's house. They were having a little playdate. So, she picked up They both picked up their kids from school. >> Okay. >> Um, they go to a Montessori school off of Dixie. And just I don't know the name of the school, but it's just >> She picked her kid up for school for a playdate, but the play but it's 9:00 p.m. The kid's not wearing any pants. There's a lot of blanks [snorts] to be filled in here. So, this is scary stuff. Like, she she probably just went and had some wine with her friend Like, I don't know. Maybe she's over medicated, who knows? Who knows what her situation is, but she definitely was not acting right, especially in the care of that child. >> Last text message I sent her, "Hey, give me my son back so that way he can eat dinner and you can go do what you want to do." You got this together? I got this together, yes, sir. The voice that I heard, I don't know who which one of y'all called me, but that voice very recognizable when she's on alcohol. Last conversation I had with her was probably 40 minutes ago, and I asked her, I said, "Hey, have you been drinking? If so, stay where you're at. I will It's just my son, obviously. >> Wait, can we get his name, too? >> Yeah, we've been trying to figure out what his name is. Someone called because the baby was found in the middle of Olive, without her. Olive. That's the call we got. >> Can I get that in writing, please? >> It's on camera. So, we we got a we Yeah, it's got to be documented because it's obviously there's children involved, stuff like that. So, you know, we had a concerned person who came over. She was hysterical because she said she saw your girlfriend, wife, whatever she is um carrying the baby like she said like a rag doll is how she described it. And so, she tried to stop and be like, you know, do you need assistance? Do you need help? Or blah whatever, then she whatever she followed us, she tried to go through our garage, and then saw the baby out here on Olive by by himself. So, that's the call we got. >> When DCS calls, they're going to probably have the report and it's actually about the same thing we're talking to you about. For your sake, I would just go over everything, any issues you have, just in case it comes later on in the court. You guys just can't do it. I mean, I'm not trying to go over any of this with you both at the same time. >> No, I have to do what I have to do for my kids. >> My obligation is to my children. >> Right. >> And yeah. So, this is all I'm just saying as a father, document everything. You know, you can express anything through your baby. You know, absolutely. Yeah. >> So, here's the deal. They're required by law to call the Florida child abuse hotline, and they [clears throat] have to make a notification about this incident because there's a a baby involved, and there's an adult parent involved. So, the Department of Children and Families will do their own investigation and determine, you know, if if the family's in need of services or whatever. >> It's going to hurt, but at the same time I don't know, it may hurt and help at the same time. She's gotten a lot of help recently, so but I understand. >> Okay. We appreciate you coming. >> All right. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Am I able to take him out of here? >> Yeah, we're going to do the DCS number. >> The police officer told me he was running out in the road with him, you were. >> Are you my >> kidding me? None of that happened. >> At what university do you get that? >> Yes. I need to I need to go get a master's degree. >> about me right now. Don't pretend like you care. >> That's what That's what we trying to make you understand. If we didn't, you would be still out here running in the street. We trying to find something for you. >> What he's trying to say is he's trying to figure out why you was out here running around like that. Like we're not allowed to be geniuses and you know, some goddamn math in the middle of the night? >> But the kid had just Pampers on. Like >> No, bro. My kid just got out of school. >> [laughter] >> This is a great statement to get on the body cam. Yeah, my kid just got out of school. It's 9:11 p.m. >> part of like the learning process. Either that or I'm milk right now till he eats dinner with his dad and then he goes to bed by 8:30. Like I'm not ridiculous. >> You know why at 8:30 you was out here. >> That's what I'm saying. It's not a >> We were trying to get home. I already talked to his father. You can check my cell phone calls. I don't have to talk to you. >> Do you know where your phone is at? >> If you're enjoying these, go ahead and subscribe. I've also got the Com Center, true crime cases from the 911 call to the courtroom. It's linked below in the description. >> Call it. I bet y'all will find it. >> Do you remember how you got over here on this side of town? >> I walked to my mother's >> What kind of car? >> It's over there in the lot. My boyfriend who was right here on the 14th Uh our sons are in the same class and I did that until you showed up and we don't know what happened. >> You don't remember us showing up? >> No, I do, but I remember you guys >> You don't remember what happened before we showed up? >> There was no problem before you showed up. >> Your child wasn't crawling in the sidewalk? >> No, no, nothing was happening. We weren't here. >> Somebody passed by and that's what they saw and they called and that's what we showed up. >> Well, you can ask the person and uh Let's find out. >> What's your friend's name? >> Um a Liliana. >> Liliana, she stays on 14th floor. You know this doesn't go You know this doesn't go up to 14th floor. >> Okay, 14th floor. >> Okay, this one or this one? >> I don't know. Uh whatever the Yeah, the address is. Right there. I don't know. Okay? >> Do you know what street you're on? I am. Do you know where you You know what street you're on? >> 60 highway I think it was Rodwell or like uh 60 highway. >> Olivia? That's Olive? And this is Chase. Actually, this is Trinity. You're on the phone with Trinity and the next street over? >> He is 18 months old and doesn't walk. Eric, my girlfriend's friend, um my girlfriend's friend, he walks and he is 2 months younger. We were practicing walking. >> Okay, I I got to say I expected that charge, the child neglect. It's a form of child abuse just because she couldn't care for the kid. The officer spent the entire stop trying to find somebody, anybody who could come get her and they called number after number, but nobody answered. So, the husband shows up and he doesn't ask them to cut her loose. What he says is she needs to learn a lesson. That's a man who's been texting her since 4:00 in the afternoon trying to get his son back and knew exactly what he was hearing on the phone. He takes the child, he lets the rest happen. She was charged with child neglect and sentenced to a pre-trial diversion program, which means if she completes it, there'll be no adjudication. If you like this video, watch the next one, be safe, and don't get body camped.
