During my 29 years as a law enforcement officer in Florida, most people who refuse screening just missed their flight. Watch this pilot come back for round two. >> But he's been I'm sorry, I have to but he's been nothing but a knucklehead the whole time that I've been here. >> Ask him if he wants to fly. [laughter] The last option he has is to continue to fly. >> I want to fly. >> Honey, you asked him. >> I got my ID. >> No, absolutely. >> All right. >> You do it. Finish it. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I said Okay. >> Oh, you know what? Let me just say >> Yeah, let me get it. >> I've already shown my ID. And I'm being harassed and I don't want it anymore. I fly the plane. I just do it. >> Okay. >> I don't want to be bothered anymore. >> Okay. So listen, I don't work for TSA. >> But please escort me out. >> Let's go. So >> I'm happy to go. I've been screened. >> Off the air side? >> No. >> I can't let you go through until you give them the ID. >> him. I showed him my ID already. >> I wasn't >> I already showed my ID. >> So, but that's what they're asking for. So that's the only way you're going to get through. I'm trying to help you. Again, again, he and I Okay. >> to keep my ID. >> listen, then listen, here's what's going to happen. Then you're going to be escorted off the air side, okay? So you can't fly. Okay. He said he's good with going off the air side. >> It's okay. I'm going to I'm going to talk to my company. I'm going to talk to the CEO. I'm going to file a report. This is harassment and I do not want it. I know better and you guys are going too far. >> Okay. >> I'm filing a report. >> Oh, he's filing a report. >> That's right. Excessive power, interference with transportation. >> He decided he's not flying, so he's >> No, listen, I hear you. I hear you. >> It's so offensive. >> I hear you. >> It's so offensive. >> I hear you. I hear you. >> You're harassing a good team agent. You don't understand. It's so offensive. >> But all you had to do All you had to do was show your ID. And you would have been >> Now they let me fly the plane. >> All you had to do was show your ID. >> All all to do was fly the effin plane as you just stated, Mr. Pilot, you would have showed your effin ID the second time, no matter what the inconvenience is or no matter what a pain in the ass it is, you'd have just showed the ID and moved on. I understand the frustration and I understand the experience he probably has and he probably goes through a million different airports a year or whatever, but at the same time, like it's the same with the pilots. They don't feel like flying, you don't get to where you're going. >> Okay. Listen, listen, if you are a pilot, then you know that KCM is not going to be here anymore, also. Cuz the pilots union is not going to pay for it anymore. So, you're going to have to do that all the time anyway. Okay. Okay. Okay. >> I don't want to be groped over and over. I don't want to be radiated by that machine. It's just so offensive. I've had 20 days. I've flown 50,000 miles. I've flown around the planet. I've been to Ireland. I've been to Seattle. I've been to Plain Texas. I've been to Dallas. I went to training for 5 days. >> He ain't asking for much. >> I got a $2 million simulator. It's the best occupation. >> I'm good. I'm good. This is the TSA manager for this side, if you want to talk to him. >> The beauty of this is it's like he probably is this experienced. He has X amount of hundreds or thousands of flight hours and he's probably a a well-trained pilot, but it means nothing if you can't show your ID and get on the plane to fly it. And I understand that, you know, you want to stand on principle, but you're going to lose this battle and they brought the TSA final boss to him to to have this discussion. >> Originally asked, this is him. This is your piloting questions. >> Okay. What What airline? >> I don't want to get into it. I've presented my information. >> care what you're going to want to get into, but you're coming in disrupting the screening process and you don't want to give me >> I'm disrupting me. >> I'm doing my job the way I'm supposed to do it. I'm trying to get to work. >> And they're doing theirs the way they're supposed to do it, but you're hindering it from happening. >> And I was one of those troops, but that doesn't give me the right to come in here and act like a I did what they wanted me to do. >> They screened me. >> Well, I'm asking. >> They broke it multiple times. It's too much. It's an offense. >> Do you know who I am? >> You're a first officer at my airline flying somebody. >> Yes, and I'm not alone. I'm not alone. I just feel like I know better. And I come down here and I >> That's the heart of it right there. You feel like you know better. I guarantee there's a high percentage of pilots who agree with them, who are just like, "Yeah, we're sick of this, too." This was back in 2023, by the way, but they also know how to circumnavigate, literally. They know how to navigate, and figuratively, they know how to navigate the system by showing that ID and complying and and not arguing with them because you're you're probably not going to win in this instance. >> flights Yeah. Sometimes I feel like I have I said to the pilots. >> What I'm What I'm trying to explain to you is this, the guys that are here don't make the rules. But they got rules to follow, just like you as a pilot have rules to follow, okay? So, but that's just >> Well, that's what I'm trying to explain to you. >> So, you get No, listen. You get mad at these guys, and I Listen, I understand your But you get mad at these guys who don't make the rules. Just like us as police officers, we don't make the laws. We don't necessarily agree with all the laws, but we're the ones that are here on the ground level got to enforce them. So, sometimes you got to play by the rules. >> I'm not sure that you understand how much leeway they actually have. I think through years of me flying, they have leeway. And 15 guys. >> But here's But here's why they're not giving you any leeway today, because of the way you're acting here. Jane attack. Thank you for your >> If you wanted to show them ID, you would have been on your plane and done that. >> We are approaching the >> That's what I saw just a little That's what I saw just a little time when I was there. You are free to go. Again, I apologize. We didn't mean to do this way. >> I've been in there for 15 minutes calling for Mr. >> Okay. >> I've been in I've been in there for 15 minutes. >> Coming right up. >> So, he's he's asking for your ID, so >> Where's your ID? >> I don't know where it is. I changed out. >> All right. Well, can you just find your bag? >> So, now he doesn't even have his ID with him and he's back in the airport in civilian clothes. Like, this is an issue. This is a big problem. >> No, I just You caused this. >> You wanted to cause this. >> You wanted to talk to me. >> You caused this. Okay? >> The thing is he doesn't want to identify himself. He wants to be the rebel and he wants to be the William Wallace of this whole thing and yell freedom, but he doesn't But William Wallace at least identified himself. >> Sir, you wanted to talk to me. I wanted to tell you I wanted to tell you exactly what happened. I've been in there for 15 minutes trying to get your attention. >> 103, I'm 10-15. >> And I I wanted to tell you the truth about what happened. >> Well, I can't get Like you did, I can't get involved now. >> So, where is your ID? >> It's in my car. >> Where's the the passport and everything you showed them the first time? >> It's in my car. >> Why did you not bring it back this time? Cuz you didn't want to give it to me. >> I've been in there trying to find you. I wanted to tell you exactly what happened. >> Well, I'm listening. >> And why I didn't show my ID. >> I'm listening. >> Actually, I showed my crew ID. Can I talk to you in private? So, here's the situation. Here's the situation. From the beginning. I'm a I'm a commercial airline pilot. >> 103, I'm a commercial airline pilot. This is my base. Lately, every time I go through KCM, they randomly I was running behind for my flight, and I thought it'd be just quicker to go straight through. So, I didn't produce my KCM. I produced my crew ID badge. And and my passport. That got me through. I got in there. See if Sergeant Corporal come in. I got in there. See if Sergeant Corporal Sergeant come in. So, I agreed to go through the scanner. I didn't want to stand where everybody else is standing. I cut my feet like this. You look at the video, I cut my feet. When that when I've done that before, it makes me have to go through again. I didn't I didn't remember that. I just didn't want to stand and get viruses on my skin. So, I I um got out and said, "Okay, I'll do the pat-down." So, I went through to do the pat-down. And they have to give me this long speech. I'm okay with it. But I have a problem with the nerve in my groin. I have a pinched nerve in my I don't want to fight running in the fuel line. I My groin is killing me. Get too rough. And I was telling them I took like 10 chemistry courses cuz I wanted to be a doctor. And there's lots of us. >> He has just [laughter] listed about 10 different things, none of which were ever on my bingo card, by the way. He has a cold thing because of a pinched nerve or something to that effect, and uh he was supposed to be a medical doctor like What's all this got to do with showing your ID, dude? >> All right, Corporal. He changed his clothes. He came over here with no ID. He's talking to the manager that he originally tried to talk to over on uh Alpha when he was just being arrogant. I guess he realized all the gig is up. So, he basically refused to give me ID. I told him, "Hey, look." I said, uh "You committed a crime over there." So, he's in handcuffs right now and if he needs to go to jail for some security violation, then he's going to go to jail for a security violation. But, I'm going to figure out who he is. Um he's telling me he put everything in his car. But, just like I told Sarge, he produced a passport and he produced his company ID over there on Alpha. The manager told me that. He told me that. One of his One of the other regular security guards for TSA told me that. So, he was just really frustrated with TSA. He's like, "I already produced all my stuff. Why do you keep asking me?" And then, you know, he got arrogant and just became arrogant. So. Um he's saying, now that he's in handcuffs, that he came over to talk to Mr. who's the manager for So. >> Okay. This is my This is my specialty. When I come down here, when I'm broke and I'm radiated and I'm made to stand in nasty places. >> He said that he didn't want to go through the traditional line that he usually goes through with a certain ID or whatever. So, he went with the commoners. And when the commoners are in that same line, he doesn't feel like he needs to wait with them, which I kind of get. I mean, he's a pilot. You can't get anywhere until he gets through. Anyway, I mean, you know, not everybody in that line is going to be on his flight, but he just basically said, "Yeah, I don't want to stand in that nasty, you know, in the filth of where all those people stand. I want to stand in my own clean area." If it's a once-in-a-while thing, you're just going to have to put up with that. Like if if you're not used to this filth of that we all have to stand in for whatever reason. >> And they run they run my name through They make me go do a random check over and over and over again. I feel like something's failed and it makes us feel bad. And I just want to go to work except that I have one more day. I'm done. I have 3 and 1/2 weeks off. I can't wait. But when I come down here, I'm like, "Oh my god, don't think they know me by now. They probably have a record." And that's >> They're on charges. >> That is what's happening. >> Oh, I guarantee they know you. >> And I'm sorry for humiliation. >> All right, humiliation. >> So, I'm going to get the worst, but I do have pride in my job. And I am a pilot, a commercial airline pilot, and it's not easy. And I take it personally. I should not. I should not. >> Now, it's my turn. Let me put a couple of those holes in your story about your flight crew. When you come up, you don't take your shoes off. The only infection you should be getting be getting is that that's already in your shoe. That's the first thing. The next [laughter] >> I love this guy. He's some kind of like TSA supervisor. I have the feeling I know exactly who who he is or what he does, but I don't want to discuss that. This is brilliant. The only infection you're going to get is from your own feet, dude. You don't even have to take your shoes off. >> thing is, it's not too much I can do. If you can't comply to what we have, then how do you expect us to respect you? Not going to happen. So, I really don't have too much else to say. You are in the custody of these gentlemen, and whatever you say >> Yeah, he's saying like, "Look, I'm a federal guy. You're you're in the custody of these cops. You pissed them off now, too, and I have no control over that." >> Yeah. We can try this again tomorrow, but I bet you if I set up a bridge call, you won't be able to after what you pulled this morning, you probably may not be able to use KCM or if you buy any standing means unless you buy a ticket. But, I don't know. That's the head business we call. Below my pay grade, but that's a couple of of its aspects. Um I don't mind assisting you. You have to comply with our rules, also. >> I tried, but every time I come through and they were ambushing me. I'm like, why me? Over and over. Is it my my career? I don't know. What is it? >> I don't No. I don't understand. I was cutting it I was cutting it a little close and I wanted to catch my flight. >> You still haven't gotten there, have you? To catch the flight. >> This is like fatherly wisdom. He says, "Ah, I was cutting it close. I just wanted to get there quicker." And he says, "You still haven't gotten there, have you?" I'm sorry. >> Change. >> I >> Got to change the method on how how you're going to go about to get there. >> It's just pushes me to the point where I'm like, this is so offensive. I don't feel like it's fair. I just don't feel like it's fair. Um I want to make flight. I've been on duty 20 days. I fly for the I fly for a contractor who flies the military. I'm in Ireland, I'm in Seattle. I went through 5 days of training, three three ground school, two of them. I've been in Seattle, I've been in Dallas, Austin, LA, Ontario. I've been up all night. I've got one more day and I just wanted to go back. I'm on call right now. Listen, partner. I'm on call right now. I just wanted to be there. I'm trying to preserve what I've built up and I don't want to lose my job. I didn't want TSA to call my boss. He's got enough problems. It's not >> You threatened to call your boss and file your report. You said you're going to sit with your CEO. >> And they wanted to see if who I work for and all that jazz. I I want to call my boss. One phone you can reach my boss. And think it's I uh >> Well, what do you think is going to happen now? >> That's a great [laughter] point. Well, yeah, we're a little bit beyond that now, aren't we? >> Sir, I'm not talking to you. Just let me talk to him. Just let me talk to him. >> Okay. Well, I'm the guy with the handcuff key. You don't need to talk to me, you're right. Go ahead, talk to him. Make it worse. >> You're in handcuffs, so >> I apologize. I apologize. >> That That's part of the problem, sir, that you want to things to go your way, but go ahead. >> Perfect. That is true. Like, look, dude, everything is unfair, everything is this, but we're trying to explain to you what's fair here. >> Okay. >> Do you need anything from him, Mr. Ball? >> No, I'm good. >> I just want to make sure your side's done, you guys have everything you guys need and >> I'm good. How are you doing? >> Do you need anything? >> No. Okay. >> I already know the story. >> Call the commander. >> So, uh right now we have resisting cuz he failed to identify himself when Mikey asked him to. Um other than that, we have you know, Mike's investigating a security incident and a disorderly for going down the wrong and a thing and a previous security incident. So, you No, it's not. It's not. He's He's causing a >> One time, you broke up a lot of >> just for identification and the guy just >> can't walk in Florida, please. >> If If an officer is investigating a crime and this is a Well, my understanding is he was was didn't complete screening. Isn't that why Mike was on the other side? Then he went He went and changed his clothes and he went over to the This is all I know so far. >> He went and changed his clothes. He went to the information desk and was asking for information on how to get to the TSA. I'll take it. >> You were supposed to do that last time. So, listen. All of my bosses are your security director. So, they're yelling at me because you didn't We were caught on video last time. So, what did you do last time? So, that's why he's talking to people above him above the airport operations manager. So. >> It's a federal security breach. >> That's not right. That's how severe we're at right now. So. Obligation of I think so. I think so. I get all of that, but when I was over there the last time, and they asked you way more than one time, and you didn't show your And then you show up over here with no ID, either. So. >> That's very a series of very bad decisions on this pilot's part, but we'll see where it goes. I I I don't know if they're going to throw him in jail over this. >> See, now part of the problem is you want everything every step of the way your way. That's not a reality in something like this. I don't want to go to TSA with you with the handcuffs in the front. I mean, that's not a reality. There you go. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do you have any questions? >> No. >> Okay. >> All right. So, to get to the long-term, you're going to go up those stairs. >> Yeah. >> Can you walk upstairs? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, you just go up those stairs up to level two. >> Do yourself a favor and subscribe. My other channel, The Comp Center, follows true crime cases from the first 911 call to the verdict. Check it out. It's linked in the description below. >> And then your car's in the purple section. >> Okay, thank you. >> All right, listen. >> Oh, here's the other thing. Um you can't come back here for a year. You've been trespassed from the airport because of this flight. So, can't come back to the airport for a year. >> No matter what the judge says. >> Well, that's correct. Correct. This is >> That's a pretty big, by the way. So, they're correct. They have the ability to trespass him from the airport. It's it's uh Hillsborough County Aviation Authority property, and they have the right to say you can't come here anymore. I don't care if you're a pilot or, you know, a mechanic or uh you know, baggage handler or a passenger. If they say you can't come there anymore, you can't come there anymore, and that's regardless of the disposition of the case. If he's completely, you know, not guilty or whatever, and they don't want you on that property, you don't come back to that property. Now, I I have the feeling that, you know, the two legal departments will work it out. Like, his airline legal department and the police department's legal department or the aviation authority's legal department will work it out, probably. But, that's the case, and that's the wrench he didn't think about. Actions have consequences. >> airport the airport operations manager with the green vest and stuff, that's their decision to trespass you from the airport because of what happened today. So, you can fly to Sarasota, you can fly out of St. Pete-Clearwater, you can fly out of Orlando, >> I can buy my own ticket. >> That's something you can take up with the airport manager. >> No, I'm going to wait in my '93 Chevy van, picture two American Airlines. >> Remember how I tried to explain to you on the shuttle that we don't make all the rules, but there's things we have to do, just like you as a pilot don't make all the flight rules, but there's things you got to follow? That's what we're doing right now. >> Now, there's a possibility, like I said, you can call the airport management, talk to them, and explain your situation. They might rescind that, but for now, we don't have a choice. It's not our choice. >> How much are the fines for these? >> There's no fine attached. If there was, the judge would tell you what that is, but there are no fines attached to that. >> You have to You have to go to court the first time, and they'll tell you everything. >> Not on my part, not on the airport's part. >> Is there a specific citation for for resisting >> two, yeah, yeah. >> Now, the officers on the scene did discuss resisting without violence for him failing to identify himself, plus that disorderly conduct and the security violation. What they did was they cited him, and they released him rather than jailing him, and airport management separately banned him from their property for 1 year. That's an administrative decision that's going to stand regardless of how the criminal case resolves. The footage obviously doesn't tell us the final disposition, but if you like this video, make sure you watch the next one. Be safe, and don't get body slammed.
