During my 29 years as a police officer in Florida, I've seen calls escalate pretty quickly. This one starts on a strip club stage and ends with a spit hood and a sedative. >> So, what's going on? Okay, ma'am, you want to come over here and talk to me? Ma'am. Okay, come here. I'm here. What's What's going on? >> Everything I made at the strip club he has ripped up and gone. >> Okay, what's what's going on? >> What's Can you please be nice? >> Okay. Okay. Don't talk to him. Just look at me. Okay? >> He was upset cuz I was stripping. >> Okay. >> And everything I made he ripped up. >> Okay. Who's he to you? >> That's my boyfriend. Am I going to get arrested for stripping? >> No. No, there's nothing illegal as long as you're doing it in an establishment that's licensed, which they are. Yeah, exactly. What's your name? No, no, no. Look at me. Ma'am, look at me. Don't look at him. >> Oh, he's going to get arrested. No, no, no. Can you just tell him to calm down? >> Ma'am. >> I'm I'm I'm okay. >> Step back. >> Do not Please do not push me. >> Step >> You're an officer of the law. Please >> literally says I need some space and he keeps walking in the officer's space. >> All right, tell me what happened. >> Nothing happened. >> Did you strike her? >> I did not strike her. >> Okay. You have an ID? >> I do. Would you like to see my ID? >> Yeah. Is that hers? >> That That's hers. I was carrying it for her tonight. >> All right. >> Here's my ID. You can look at it. You did not have permission to go in my pocket. You did not ask to go in my pocket. You did not ask to go in >> Oh. >> No, get on the ground now, dude. You're going to get You're going to get tased. Three, two, on your stomach now. >> Taser was very effective here. Didn't even need to get clicked. >> No, he's going to tase him. >> Relax. Relax. >> No, he punched him in the face and you know that. >> Yeah, I did cuz he he cocked back on me. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. >> Am I going to be able to >> Stop. Just relax. Just relax. >> that was illegal. You [ __ ] assaulted my boyfriend. >> No, it's not illegal. >> That's police brutality. >> It's not police brutality. >> [laughter] >> These are the Tik Tok lawyers. I just applied at a strip club. I got into a fight with my boyfriend. He ripped up all of my strip club money. Now I'm going to defend my boyfriend because this is police brutality after he raised his fist at the police officer and then got put on the ground. >> You straight up punched me in the face. >> Yep, cuz you you swung back like >> He didn't swing at you. He put his hands up. I'm sorry. I don't want to get arrested. >> Stop. >> [laughter] >> I am okay. >> He has my backpack and my purse and my Advil to get that. >> Yeah, just hang on. Yep, that's hers. >> Can you please give that to me? >> It's all he was trying to do. >> I don't feel like you had the need to punch me in the face though. >> If you [ __ ] back on me and you look like you're about to punch me in the face, I'm going to defend myself. >> You're not going to get an upper hand on me. Okay, but you're an officer of the law. You you have >> I have every right to defend myself. >> You're an officer of the law. You have to take my punch to the face and you can only retaliate with a body blow. Good luck with that. >> Stop. Stop. >> Wayne, do you understand that? Do you understand that? >> Right, but just because I'm >> So I will punch you in the face if I think you're about to attack me. >> Will you let me speak? >> No, I won't. >> But just because I'm a brown person just >> It has nothing >> Oh boy, here we go. It's a brown person everybody. The brown person could raise his fist at a at the police officer. The police officer is not by the way not saying, well, I'm a white person. You shouldn't be able to attack me if you're brown because that would be a racist statement. >> thing to do with who you are. >> It does have something >> It doesn't. Are you brown? >> And then he head butts the officer. So now the question becomes do you represent brown people because the only interaction I have so far is that you raised your fist at a police officer then you headbutted him once he was once you were handcuffed. >> Yeah, you're done bro. You're done. >> He's trying to headbutt me in the head. >> Don't cut the bag just take it off. >> Shut up. >> Just take it off. It's not It's not my bag. It's not my bag. >> Guys we got to stop. This guy's trying to fight us and spit on >> Stop dude. >> Don't punch me. >> Stop. >> That's illegal. >> It's not. It's a pressure point. Stop. >> No, it's not. >> My throat is a pressure point? >> It's not. It's underneath your chin. Stop. >> just punched me in the throat. >> Stop dude. You're going to get tased. >> Tase me then. I have a seizure disorder. You >> Okay, we can add this to the list now. Heart conditions, pregnant, seizure disorder, I'm in the water, what else? What else are we going to add to the you can't tase me bro? Let me know in the comments. >> Get back. Just go stand over there. Just go It's all ruined. Just go stand over there. Get back. You can You got to sit here. Get back. Yeah hey, get her back now. >> I'm No, this is legal. >> No, you can step back. I don't I'm not comfortable with you that close. >> Babe, get them, babe. Get them. >> I'm not the one doing anything wrong. >> Babe, help me. >> I can't. You >> Please, baby, help me. >> I can do. I'm sorry. >> Yeah, you did [ __ ] up today. >> You're on your own. >> You really did. >> I'm sorry. >> [laughter] >> Now you're on your own, too. >> He's crying. >> [laughter] >> I swear to God, if this were me, I would be on top of this dude and I would say, "Are you crying? Are you kidding me?" >> You [clears throat] started it. You punched him in the [ __ ] face. >> I did. >> You started it. >> I just swung back on me. >> I was protecting myself. >> You owe zero explanation to anybody. Stop explaining to the stripper. >> I'm still protecting myself. >> Okay. >> Right? I have the right to protect myself at all times. >> Yeah, that is in the rule book of the laws. >> Because you punched me. I have the right to protect myself. >> Nope. Yeah. >> All right. I was protecting myself from you. Ow. >> You left your cuff guard locked, you dumb >> Shut your mouth. >> No, you shut your [ __ ] mouth. Don't talk to her like that. Don't talk to my [ __ ] woman like that. >> stand up. There's a knife back there. >> Ow. >> Hey, why don't you want to pull him through on the other side? You getting an idea on her? >> Why? >> Yeah. >> Ow. >> I have information, I just haven't been able to run her yet. >> Ow. >> Pull her. Hold on. There you go. Pull, pull, pull. >> Are those True Religion jeans? Just asking. >> What do we do about my money getting cut up? >> Don't worry about it. I don't know. >> Oh, all of a sudden you need help? >> See you. I have never been to the strip clubs here. Yeah. >> Ow. >> Um, just for the guys watching it maybe only they'll get this, but this is at 7:15 p.m. And her shift is over, meaning she was day shift. >> Stop. >> It hurts. >> Relax. We're trying >> It hurts. >> We're trying to fix it. Stop. You're going to get another charge. >> It hurts. >> Hey, Kelvick, relax. Kelvick, stop. Relax. We're done with her. You need to leave, otherwise you're going to get arrested. >> No, because this is legal. I'm I'm allowed to stay close >> You are interjecting into our scene. >> You don't know what you're allowed to do. >> too close. I told you that multiple times. So, just stop. It's very easy. >> You're built easy. Did you know that? >> I don't know what that means. >> Right. Great comeback. You're built easy. >> It hurts. >> Stop. You're going to get another charge. >> It [ __ ] hurts. >> Roll him on his side. >> No. Ow. >> On his side. >> It [ __ ] hurts. >> Stop. >> Ah. Goddammit. >> Imagine if you were compliant. >> battery and the solid conduct >> Somebody grab the >> He's charged up. >> You don't need to hobble me. You just shut the [ __ ] door. Hey. >> That's another charge. >> Get him down. Shut that door now. Shut the door. >> You pushed me first. You started it. >> No, he just head butted one of my officers. He had >> He's the one who pushed me. >> He's head butted two officers. Okay. >> You need to leave now. You don't have a criminal complaint, you need to leave. >> complaint. >> Against what? >> It's in my pocket. >> Okay, have a good night. >> You have a lot on you. >> It's fine. >> Is that yours? >> Yeah. >> What that be my rag? >> Can you let the jail know that he's very uncooperative? They're going to need quite a few people. >> [ __ ] pieces of [ __ ] I told you to shut the doors. Put my window down, [ __ ] >> Okay, we're going to do a banshee alert here. This is loudness warning and two give me the opportunity to explain this to you also. When you call ahead as a patrol officer, to the jail, or you have the communication center, the comm center, call ahead and say, "Hey, call the jail and let them know I have an unruly prisoner back here." That gives the jail the time to like I I think they might do calisthenics, they might stretch out a little bit, you know, like they know what's coming. >> [screaming] [screaming] >> Uh quick one, if you want the follow-ups on these cases, plus trial updates, and some of the dumbest criminal stories that I actually come across, that's the Off Duty Report. It's free, it's a newsletter. The link's below. Okay, keep watching. So, sometimes it's intentional that you get on the radio while he's in the process of this screaming and crying fit. Um that's so there's an audible record of what's going on there. You're still trying to communicate stuff, like you still have to communicate stuff, but that recording lets everybody on the street know what's happening, and it also is memorialized in the recording. So, when you you know, you when the district attorney is deciding whether or not to charge file charges, you play them that recording of your ride to jail. >> So, what happened? >> So, we tried getting into the strip club, and I'm not 21, and she was like, "Well, the only way you can get in if you're a dancer." And I was like, "dance tonight?" And my boyfriend's like, "If you dance tonight, I'm breaking up with you." I was like, "Okay." I started dancing, maybe 20 25 minutes later, he runs up on stage. He And he's just like he's just snatching my money up. He's cussing me out, talking about I need to get off this stage. And the owner was like, "That's not your money, you need to give it back." That's when I was like, "Okay, I got to go. I need to calm him down cuz he gets angry as As we're walking away, >> There is something surreal about having a conversation with a a young girl who's not 21 yet, and she's explaining this um sordid tale of of what happened inside the strip club while she was dancing, and she's pulling money out of like orifices as she's speaking to you. >> He was like, "Can I just see my money so I can at least see how much I made tonight?" He was like, "No, this is your money." money. I was like, "Naked?" And then he starts ripping up my money, and that's what happened. >> Is there any charges you want to press against him? >> No. >> Okay. >> I'm literally homeless, so I mean like I get it. Homeless people be having nothing. Trust me, I know. I work with homeless people. They be a little crazy. But that's my only backpack I have, and um I'm now. >> Are you afraid of him? No. You don't think he's going to hurt you or your children? >> Huh? >> Or your children if you have children? >> Oh god, no. I ain't got no >> Do you have any questions for us at the moment? >> Yeah. Who's paying for my backpack? >> You got a handful of dollars right there. >> Make a complaint about the backpack being damaged and contact our supervisor. >> about the officer who punched me in the face. I'll do that. >> Okay. That's all up to you if you want to contact our supervisor. You have rights to do that. >> What is your name, ma'am? >> Okay. I'm trying to help you out. I'm not asking you a question. I'm looking to see >> Refusing to answer any questions has to do with the investigation. Identifying yourself is completely separate. The Supreme Court has said so. So, when you conceal your identity, that's a whole separate charge, and they can't identify they can't book you in at like until you're completely identified. >> Be cooperative with jail staff. What did you say? >> I refuse to answer any questions, and I refuse to cooperate with jail staff. >> All right, man. >> [laughter] >> So, he says, "I refuse to be cooperative with jail staff," and the cops' perfect response is, "All right, man. I tried." >> He's telling us that he's going to fight with you guys. >> Okay. >> And he's already head-butted us, he's punched us, he's kicked us, he's bit us, so >> He goes like this, so then I just backed up and I right across the jaw, and then it was a fight on. >> What is that? >> We don't know his name. >> We don't know his name. >> Austin? Just keep your gun on you for now in case something >> How's it going? We're going to get you out of this squad car here. >> Walk. >> I'm going to get you underneath here. >> Police check. >> What's going on? >> Yeah, house. >> He's got a good pulse. Pulse is about 75. >> He was just talking right before I got out of the car. >> Give medical. >> Yeah, that's right about the red eye. 74, please. >> I could Could you grab shackles? >> Are you injured or >> I think it's from when I was getting shot by the BBs, actually. But it ripped open when I was fighting with him. >> What's your name? You don't know his name? >> Th- That's a I wish I could delve deeper into that comment. But he said, "No, no, no, no. I The blood is from when I was getting shot by the BBs. I think it just got ripped open when I was fighting with this guy." Like, "When were you getting shot by BBs?" Not in this call, obviously. I I want to know about that call, though. >> I don't know, to be honest with you. >> I'm going to get you to see my medical, okay? >> I want to go home. Where am I? Where am I? >> You're at the jail. Do you take any drugs or anything? Do you know if you did today? >> I had alcohol today. >> Okay. I'm going to guess that's why you got so much blood. From the alcohol. >> Depends on the blood. You bleed a little bit more. >> He looks familiar. >> Yeah. >> He's not the one He's not the one I'm thinking of. >> Hey, Sergeant Jago with the police department. So, I just wanted to give you guys a heads-up. Just a heads-up with this gentleman. He's cooperative now. I don't know if that's false or if he's now going to remain cooperative. I did call ahead to give Superior ER a heads-up, and they obviously were like, "I We don't want him here." But Yeah, >> I tried to give him a courtesy heads-up, and they were not having it. So, why don't you take a look? Maybe he doesn't need to go, I don't know. >> He has seizures. And we're threatening to do this Yeah. Before. >> Seizures from what? >> Pseudo. >> Yeah. >> Pseudo? >> Yeah. >> I don't think we're at I don't do any pseudo. >> Do you think that's necessary? >> It looks like a couple. >> I always seem to do that. >> Intoxicated or what's that? >> know what the deal is. I don't know if it's all charade, or it's probably the most violent I've ever seen four officers for sure. >> We've got to make sure there's nothing going on with your skull or your brain, okay? Honestly, I prefer not to transport someone with their hands behind their back just cuz it could cut off circulation and damage. >> Okay. Okay. >> That way you won't be laying on it. >> Don't >> Look at me so you don't lay on >> Stop pushing on me! Stop it! >> I'm wondering if we should sedate him. >> Do you think that's necessary? Then absolutely do it. >> If he's willing to cooperate, we can put him in soft restraints and have him above and to the side. >> That's That's That's not going to happen. That's not going to happen to me. >> We'll get you on a stretcher. We just don't want you to fight. We don't want you to hurt yourself, okay? We don't >> So, there's uh 1 2 3 4 5 There's like seven cops standing around this guy, and then two or three medics, and you know, God bless this uh ambulance person, this medic. I don't know if she's a private company or what, but she's just basically like, "Yeah, step aside everybody. We're going to put him in soft restraints." >> We need to stop that. >> I I'll talk to him. I You all just step aside. I'll talk to him. >> It's not really an option right now. He's not going So, I'm going to call the receiving hospital and find out if they're good with us using a sedative here. Cuz if he's going to fight, I don't want him to hurt himself or anyone else. >> Okay. >> Cuz >> I can't do Please. >> Okay, you saw them all. It was like the the fountains at the Bellagio, but ironically because he spit. >> [screaming] [laughter] >> Subscribe if you like this content, but my other channel, The Calm Center, takes true crime cases from the 911 call all the way to the verdict. Check it out. The link's down in the description. >> You probably would have had better luck if you started cooperating, Jason. >> See, she's holding her soft restraint because he took his soft restraint off. >> Can we man-to-man talk? We have a 5-minute ride to St. Mary's and those cuffs come off, okay? And then you go into soft restraints. You can make it 5 minutes. >> Oh, that's what he wants. >> Is it going to break if I cuff this to that? No. >> I can't do your meds. >> I can't do it no more. I can't. >> I'm going to give you medicine in your shoulder. >> No. No. No, I don't give you consent. I don't give you consent. I don't give you consent. I don't give you consent. I don't give you consent. I don't give you consent. I do not give you consent to do that. >> You're hurting yourself. >> I do not give you consent to do that. I do not give you consent to do that. I do not I do not give you consent to do that. >> I'm sorry. >> You're sorry? You're sorry till you're going to lose your [ __ ] job. What's your name? What's your name? >> My name's Alba Lewis. >> Alba what? >> That's all you got to know. >> What's your last name? >> You don't get to know that. >> Yeah, because you don't want Because you don't want to lose your job. What's your last name? What's your [ __ ] last name? >> Hopefully I don't know. >> Hopefully I don't know. What's your last name? >> We're not going to go there. I didn't want to say it cuz, you know, I didn't know, but yeah. >> All right, he was charged with one count of battery on a law enforcement officer, two counts of attempted battery, and one count of resisting. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 30 months of probation. He'd been out of jail 1 week when this happened, and with one day left on the 60, he picked up a battery charge against a jail officer. His probation was revoked and he got a year in county. Look, if you like this video, watch the next one. Be safe, and no matter who you are, don't get body cammed.
