on June 22nd 2023 officers with the Pasadena Police Department were dispatched to a reported domestic disturbance according to the police report the victim had texted a third party about the situation and the third party ended up calling the police put your hands up put your [ __ ] hands up now put that gun down get down on your knees get in with me put your hands on top of your head don't move don't move you come over here come over here and sit down watch her all right I got hands you got any other weapons on no okay you got a cup [Applause] key okay we're going to go outside and sit on y'all break up because we went through some things in the beginning of the relationship and I did a lot of things and you did a lot of things like what um I cheated okay you know entertained other women so yeah we broke up and then we can't we just can't let each other go so she calls me when I'm I go to my mom and she'll call me I come here I stay the night okay so what happened today uh today and I left and then I ended up coming back I was waiting for her to come home she got home she told me to come upstairs and we were talking I'm going stop you right there I'm just going to read you for the past few days okay but today what happened so today I came I was we were actually riding with the J well I was following her she's in a brother's car you were following her did she know you stopped at the corner store together everything so it wasn't like she didn't know okay um and then I waited she left I waited in my car she got here she told me she was here I came up here we were conversating at first and then we started arguing and I told her I didn't want to leave her she didn't want to leave me and it just went left and I told her I didn't have nobody else she the only person I got nobody I have nobody else in my in my in my circle at all you know and that's negative she's the only person that I have when I told her that and I just told her I said I'll take my life before anything man I can't I can't live without her I don't want to so you're saying yall love each other y'all want to say together okay what happened right now whenever we walked in and you had a gun on I just picked it up I didn't you know I just P I picked it up so you didn't point it to anyone no okay so the reason why we're here like I would and I told her I said I never hurt you right where did you buy that firearm from where it's not it's hers okay and you just had it why who why why was it out there uh well she keeps it for protection because protection against who everybody out here cuz she she does she have a license to carry uh I believe so is do you no okay so she's the one that bought the the V I mean okay so we y'all just have it laying out usually or yeah usually we leave it on top of okay so why was it in your hand because I picked it up and I said I I'll take my life before anything that's all that's all I said I told her I would take my life and I grabbed it want to take your life cuz I don't live without without I don't have nobody in my life you know the only person that I have the only person that took me only do you understand how that makes you look whenever we it makes me look crazy it makes me look psychotic makes well that and not only that watch officer's going to I mean not only that but at the same time you're we're walking in and you have a gun on you I mean if you didn't listen to us I mean we could have potentially shot you which is why I put it there I'm not you know I've never done this before okay I've never today did anything happen to you did you hit her did you choke her did you do anything like that against her no at all no so if I go ask her right now she's going to tell me the same story you're tell we wrestling in there she we like you're wrestling how are y wrestling here like play wrestling no like we were fighting with each other so she hit you too okay how did she hit you she like kind of like B up for fish and kind of pushed me in the chest but that she pushed you so her chest was pushed against yours no her face was pushed against me her what she she like like body slammed you basically yeah like so I got on top of her and then she got on top of me and then we okay so when you got on top of her what did you do did you strike her with a close face slap her choke her put your hands anywhere on her body I just held her arm me I didn't I didn't hit her in her face I didn't hit her nowhere none of that I didn't do none of it not just tell her CLE thank you i h her like my grandma like be hooked her I held her that was it I didn't strike her I didn't none of that okay so both of y'all's bodies were in contact with each other yes okay so when going back what kind of confuses me you're saying that you guys were wrestling with one another how wrestling is like hitting each other no we didn't do that okay that's my definition of wrestling so tell me your definition so like we we were grabbing each other grabbing each other how with each other's hands no like be like we bear hugged each other like sitting on the couch and I bear hugged her and then she like pushed me off of her and then we were rolling over on the ground but neither one of us hit each other ever okay watch y okay so if I were to ask her that if she felt pain because of that she would say no Shea I'm stronger doing she talking about okay and at that point I was just like yeah I still even I can't even get to my phone okay recording then when I saw my phone way over there my best friend called she took it out of her pocket and then she she answered it oh yeah she not here then gave it to a and she's like go ahead you know put the gun and everything she she was so you say pointing the gun but are you saying like yeah go ahead yeah she's like go ahead like she just whatever she was threatening you and I'm just like hey she's like what's your apartment number I said like all case nothing and then I end up hanging up the phone mhm and then is that I'm guessing she called my twin my twin told her my number cuz as soon as I saw my phone right there I grabb it my phone it might be that one over there on the couch over there in the corner one on the arm over here yeah that was mine so I grabbed it I to the phone and then came so basically as as far as the gun goes she was threatening to shoot herself yeah would she did she straight up say hey I'm going to [ __ ] kill myself or something like that yeah she she was like Hey if if you're going to leave me then there's no point in me being here I don't have anybody I have nothing to lose and I've always heard that's that's the most dangerous people we we don't have anything to lose do you do you know if uh she has any mental health issues do she take any prescription medication depression bipolar disorder nothing like that I know I have videos to where it'll show you that she's not she's not there [Music] okay I got you well it's okay it's going to be okay she her last night so I I get what happened last night and everything but I mean I was the first door I saw what was going yeah I just had I never pointed it to anybody I never pointed it to her I never pointed it to her at all okay so I got to ask some real specific questions though and I got to know everything that happened today okay so say you wake up at whatever time what what goes on well this morning yeah okay well I spent the night here last night so I woke up at about 7:30 and I left and I went to work and get work we had been conversating all day M she asked me if I wanted to come over like I have all the messages in my phone she asked me if I want to come over I told her I was tired cuz we were up all night last night I told her I was tired I'm going to go home and take a nap a conversation whatever started arguing over text message I told her I was coming so I pulled up and she was getting ready to leave so I got I stood in the car and she looked at me and she did like that and we followed each other on the right like follow you follow each in your cars yeah I had my car she was in her brother's car okay um we did all of that we stopped at the corner store and everything told her I said I can't I'm never let you go she said I'm not letting you go either I said so why why we keep doing this because we argue all the time right we broke up but we still are involved we've been involved for going on the year now right um so y'all been on and off dated for about a year now yeah I was living here okay so so y'all followed each other on the freeway you came back here what happened so once yall arrived here what happened to him well once we arrived here we just kind of started we were conversating at first and then we started arguing okay and then we she was sitting on the couch and I was in front of her and like I be hooked her she be hooked me she pushed me I pushed her so this this was like the argument just escalated and y'all started going okay I understand I ended up on the ground she ended up on the ground but I never closed my fist hit her I never slapped her nether this she she never hit me she never get none of that we just were kind of like pushing each other back and forth right stronger than she so of course to her or to you know to anybody I stronger so I look like you know the most aggressive I understand so you know one thing went to another and I told her I said I take my life before anything she's the only person I have so so you told her like you you you'll take your own life I did I told her that and I'm not you know I'm not going to lie to you I told her I'm take my life you know she she I told her I said you don't want to leave me and I don't want to leave you alone I said if that happens I won't be anymore cuz I don't have nothing to look for it I don't have nobody you know okay but she knows that she's the only person that I have in my circle I've always had her in my circle and I can't let that go and she don't want to let me go as hard but we don't get along sometimes and we argue and we fight I got you well couples fight I get that we've been we've been dealing each other almost a year yeah but the relationship didn't work because of course I cheated and I lied and I messed up everything right I've been begging her let me face it and you know I'm around I'm always around right I never I got you I understand for 2 days 3 days and then she'll call me back or I'll call her and I'll tell her we'll tell each other how much we miss each other how much we love each other and we'll be back so I get that youall got the back and forth thing I I really understand okay but the thing is tonight so you said that you you were telling her that you were going to end your own life right did you have did you have the gun in your hand did you did okay usually the gun's out anyway right is it that's your gun right it's her gun yeah okay so you had the gun in your hand and you were you were threatening to kill yourself basically yeah okay so I like I wouldn't I didn't point it to myself but I did I said anything I'm taking my right I said I never hurt you I never try to do anything that hurt you physically ever okay I I do something to myself before I let anybody or anybody do something okay so let let me ask you this and I'm going to be direct did you point the gun with her at all no did you threaten her at all no we're good thank you you didn't threaten her to shoot her you didn't threaten to shoot her at all okay did anybody call her during this whole exchange her best friend her best friend what happened when her best friend I answered the phone you answered the phone I she said what are you doing I was like oh this is BL out she's good and I hand her her the phone and um she she I was like talk to her and she was like I can't say anything and then she hung up the phone mhm but I never told her she couldn't talk to her I gave her her phone I got you well here's the deal though cuz I'm going to I'm going to cut the crap okay I know exactly what she told me and I saw what I saw so I believe what she was saying okay she said that when she handed you the phone you pointed the gun at her no I didn't in a threatening manner trying to keep her from telling information no I told her to call I told her to talk to her I never pointed the gun at her I never pointed the gun I told her I would never do that I would never do that I would never point the gun in her and I told her this many many times I told her I would never do anything to hurt her physically never I gave her her phone I told her to talk to her friend she told her friend she could talk can't you hug up the phone okay do you understand that uh if you're holding a gun especially in the manner that I saw you doing it you're just moving it around all free willly you know whatever you want to do and you're telling someone hey I'm going to kill myself and then you hand someone the phone you could understand that they would be threatened by that right you can understand why you know if someone hands me a phone and they got a gun in their hand I'm going to be real careful about what I'm saying you understand what I'm saying you can you think that maybe that's where she was coming from like that I be okay so here's what's going to happen tonight so um we're going to I'm going to go talk to her for a little bit more and then I have to call the Harris County District Attorney's office and let them know what's going on okay now everything that you've told me and everything that she told me is what I'm going to tell them and they're going to decide whether a charge is accepted or what whatever kind of case it is okay so what I need you to do for now is just hang tight here are you good are the handcuffs good okay so we're going to hang tight here just hang out with this officer I'm going to go talk to her and I'm going to go make that call okay real quick I'm if we're at a good stopping point real quick I have some questions for you um so basically I she committed a assault with de weapon whenever you on the phone with your friend do you want to pursue criminal charges if I don't if I do I don't know okay so right so what the thing is with this kind of case if if you don't want to pursue charges based on what I tell the da which is exactly what you said and she said da may take the charge and the state will file against her instead of you so if you're willing to cooperate basically with an in with their the prosecution and come testify and that kind of thing it's a yes if you don't want to have anything to do with that it's a no and I can't I can't sway you either way so she okay do you have her in hey uh real quick I'm going to give you this it's a copy of the case number so couple things they did accept the charge against her so she's going to jail tonight the other thing I understand that your handgun unfortunately we have to take it for evidence okay you have any questions for me or anything so is it possible to get it back after yes soon as the case is done so where it'll be until the trial and everything is is locked up in our evidence Locker nobody's going to touch it nobody's throwing it away or taking it or nothing as soon as that's done you'll get a notification especially because you're going to be testifying you'll know when it's over you can go pick it up and it'll be no problem is it possible that out that's a that's that's a thing for the courts um what I'm going to do just because of this the certain circumstances I'm going to file for what's called a moep a Magistrate's order of emergency protection what that's going to do is uh it's going to tell like she's going to be told this like you are not allowed to contact you for whatever whatever the case is and if she does she'll be committing a felon basic so and if and if after that gets through and everything if she shows up here for any reason all you got to do is lock the door call the police say hey she's violating the Moab she's here she needs to go to jail and we'll come take care of the problem you have any questions for me number and has other resources like medical mental anything it's all covered okay information for the U District's office and stuff downtown um which is what he's talking about the uh uh emergency protection you
