hey everyone I'm John and I sincerely
appreciate you watching now the first
thing that should happen police arri in
location especially when they're in full
uniform is the situation should calm
down right but sometimes it doesn't and
I never understood why now thinking back
I had a situation that came out as a
fight on the highway some years back at
a public transportation station me and
my partner arrived and at this point two
males are arguing back and forth with no
physical violence yet so as we get
closer and we figure out that they're
friends and they're arguing over money
at this point I'm trying to get one of
the males to talk to me and explain
exactly what happened and all of a
sudden his aggression and hostility gets
directed towards me and he tells me that
I didn't call the police and to get out
of his effing face the Mel then tries to
get into his friend's face and I grab
him just before he hits him and at that
point he gets into a fighting stance and
takes a swing at me now taser would have
come in handy at this point but this was
before tasers but thank goodness I was a
lot younger back then and he just missed
my face as I Sid stepped but he did get
pepper sprayed and arrested for his
efforts when it could have been just a
simple report so today we have a case
out of Illinois a damaged car and two
men that appear to be intoxicated and as
police try and deal with the situation
he pushes the officer's hand away then
as the officer is dealing with him his
friend attempts to intervene and
literally tries to smack the officer's
taser out of his hand he actually faints
like he's going to assault the officer
and squares up on him in a fighting
stance and eventually gets tased now
tasing is a critical tool in law
enforcement's Arsenal it's designed to
incapacitate a suspect without causing
permanent harm when deployed a taser
delivers a high voltage shock that
disrupts muscle control allowing
officers to gain compliance quickly
however it's not just about the zap it's
about the decision-making process
leading up to it now these officers
handled the situation very well and
displayed a great amount of patience
because both of these men were
aggressive and one of the men was
extremely difficult to get into the back
of the car one male did have to be
transported to the hospital which is
standard procedure whenever a person
gets tased and lastly if you listen when
an officer gives you a simple command
the probability of you ending up in the
back of a police vehicle will be very
slim the suspect is secured in the
police van with no further incident he
was charged with felony battery to a
peace officer two counts of resisting
assault on a peace officer and criminal
damage to property for damaging the BMW
the man in the blue jacket was charged
with felony battery to a peace officer
two counts of obstructing and resisting
they are innocent unless proven guilty
in a court of law
