You don't even know the name of their dad. >> I am talking to my dad for a second. >> Then talk. I'm going to stand right here while you do it. >> My medicine. My my >> back up. Back up. Back up. Back up. >> On June 30th, 2023, officers were dispatched to assist with a child custody issue. They were told that three children were with their mother. While their two fathers wanted them returned due to concerns over the mother's violent behavior, threats, and ongoing conflicts with her boyfriend, the mother and her boyfriend were reportedly on a pontoon at Lake Shitac with the children. Upon arrival, officers located them on a sandbar and approached them. >> You don't even know the name of their dad. >> Listen, sit down and talk. Okay? I'm telling you to sit down and talk right now, >> dude. You're Yeah. And you're telling me you're taking a picture of my kids, but you don't even know their dad's name. >> Maybe I just spoke on the father's name of the caller, but both fathers, I spoke to both of them. >> Why would you call the dads with my children? >> They called us. That's why we're here. >> They called us. >> I have Yeah. And my lawyer said that I get them until the date that is on my phone. My lawyer said I get them until the date that's on my phone. >> Okay. What's the date on your phone? That doesn't matter. Right. The fathers want the children. They can't just come and get him. I need like >> That's like Isn't that like a civil matter? I have >> That's between you and the courts. Okay. >> I have kids. I have >> Stop yelling. Stop yelling right now. >> Come in. You don't even know the name of the >> Stop yelling right now. Sit down. Sit down and talk. >> You're scaring your children. >> You're scaring my children. You're scaring me coming here telling me you're going to take my kids and you don't even know the name of the dad. >> Go over. >> Ted, do you know why we're here? You can speak up too, sir, because I'm pretty sure you know why we're here. >> Yes. >> Yeah. You don't even know the name of it. My My kid is dad. >> Three. So, what are the names of the kids' fathers and the cats, please? >> Okay. Well, they're going to come with us now. And then you >> Oh, they're not going with you now. They're not. Alicia, if you obstruct and resist us, we're going to place you in handcuffs in front of your children. You don't want them. Okay? >> Alicia, let them come across, please. >> Lily, you want to come over? >> Alicia, >> I'm telling you right now, let me for 12 years. >> Let the kids come with us. >> I know. I'm really nice. >> Yeah. >> We're not trying to be mean, honey. We're just asking you to come over here with us cuz we got to take you back to the land. Okay. >> So, so Michael's here, too. Both dads are here. >> No, Greg's coming. He's taking all three of the kids. Come on. >> I don't agree with that. I don't agree with him to take Dominic. >> Well, the father did. Michael did. >> I don't care. I'm >> okay. Come on, boys. >> Oh, no. You're not going to tell you again. >> Alisa, you're going to go in handcuffs. >> Please. I don't want to. >> No, mommy. I don't want to. >> It's okay. You guys can come across Dominic. Come on, guys. >> I'm not going to do one second. >> You got shoes and stuff, bud. >> Go ahead and step right here. >> I can hold your hand here. I'll step right down. There you go. All right. Can you grab that new life jacket? >> Maybe you should know what the [ __ ] you're going to say before the [ __ ] you come here. Come in here saying the wrong name of the [ __ ] dad. You piece of [ __ ] cop. >> Sorry, I misspoke. Alisia, >> come on. And I'll help the other one put that orange one on here. >> I'm going back to the house. >> What house? the house we guys are staying to get the belongings. We're going to this landing over here where we want. >> The scene opened like a courtroom on water. Alicia on defense, volume set to max. Officers tried to explain, but she was busy building her own case about lawyer permissions and civil matters. Each question turned into cross-examination, every word splashing with attitude. And if anyone thought the drama ended at the pontoon, wrong. It was just getting started. You guys can have seats. All right. Whoa. He almost pushed me in the water. >> You okay? >> You don't have to be scared on it. We're not going to hurt you. Okay. >> Just a misunderstanding with your mom and your dad. And your dad wants you guys home. Who's your dad? Greg or is it Michael? >> Um, it's Michael. >> Michael. Okay. >> And we're going to see our new bunny. >> You got new bunnies? >> I've been asking for so long. >> For what? >> For a bunny. I've been asking for at least 5 years. >> And Michael's your dad, too? >> Yes. Okay. So, did you talk to your dad recently? >> You told him you want to come home. >> You got to drive. >> It's your phone call. If you want to drive, you drive. >> And our bunny's name is >> What's that? >> Oh, yeah. >> Watch a straight line right there. What's >> Dominic? >> Dominic. Did you talk to your dad? >> No. >> When? >> When I text him today. >> Okay. Did you tell him that your mom was being mad and stuff lately? No. >> Okay. So, when did you tell him you wanted to come home? >> When I was supposed to. >> Okay. >> Your name? >> Okay. >> Wait. So, is his dad picking us up and then our dad is coming to get him at his house? >> Correct. You're meeting in Illinois, I guess. Somewhere down there. Where do you live? >> Memorial. Closer to Arlington, but our address is Memorial. >> Okay. You guys live all the time with your dad's, all right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> But we always miss our mom. >> I know. I have friends in Missouri. You play tackle football all the time. >> Tackle football. >> You lucky son of a gun. You got your shoes. >> Where's your shoes? >> How old are you? >> I'm 40. >> That's kind of surprising. >> I know, right? I'm surprised most days, too. >> I'm six and I'm not >> Are you 40? Oh, 46. >> Close enough. 43. Close enough. >> All right, we're going to go up to the front here. There'll be some steps and we'll help you guys get down. >> I take off the life jacket. >> Yep. Yeah, I can take this hot thing off, too. Sweating with it on. >> Are you sure it's not your other vest? It's the other vest. Yeah. >> Yep. I got mine. >> Can I see a shotgun? >> Yeah. >> I got to move some stuff, though. You guys got to buckle. Okay. >> Okay. >> You climb all the way over or >> one of you. Either one. >> That's cool. >> Yeah. >> People sitting here. That's cool. >> Yeah, they do sometimes. Buckle up, though. Move it. >> All right. It's just a newspaper. Cool. You buckle. >> My ankle's better now. So when I get home, I'm riding your bike. >> Cool. >> All right, let's go get ice cream. >> Officers did their best to make the children stuck in the chaos feel safe, offering comfort, reassurance, and a few gentle jokes along the way. Otherwise, the poor kids would have been crushed by the tension. It felt like a brief commercial break in the middle of emotional wreckage. All right. >> No, they spin us. >> They're so smart for realizing. >> Yeah. So, bars weren't there. They just open the door. >> Yeah. >> What's up, man? >> Right over there. Oh, it's >> broken down. Let's go look in the cooler. I've never [Applause] >> Look what I got. >> Oh, yum. All right, cool. >> You guys want anything to drink? >> You sure? Okay. I don't know what it would be like to be a person [Music] six or seven. >> You take a minute. >> What? [Applause] >> Thank you. >> You too. [Music] >> What does that mean? [Applause] I always wonder how they couldn't open the door. Now I know there's just no door handle. >> Yeah. >> Do you guys like just go over >> for what? >> He claims he's in his garage. >> But like last >> in the back. Yeah. It's a whole different door panel. >> This is all stuff to take to him. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Are they not coming up here? I don't get to see them again. >> They're not here right now, though. >> So you guys wait. No, you guys were just coming to get their stuff. Like >> I thought Greg was coming up here and I would get to say goodbye to my kids. >> Here's the deal, ma'am. If you wouldn't have acted the way you did on the boat, we would have >> a lot of respect for you because of that position. >> Not if you're not letting me say goodbye. >> Ma'am, if you wouldn't have acted that way on the boat, we would have let you We would have brought him here. We would have done whatever we needed to. The problem is we can't force our way into this house. >> I'm allowing you entry. >> I know, but we can't force her out either. >> Well, what are we doing here? She's so [ __ ] >> Are you able to take her? Cuz I got a lot of stuff. Just bring your squat up for now. [Applause] >> Back on shore, tension returned like humidity after a storm. Alicia demanded to see her kids, conveniently forgetting the performance she'd given earlier on the pontoon. Meanwhile, her boyfriend was equally eager to have this whirlwind out of his home. Behind the scenes, he told officers that she'd attacked him the previous day using a handful of rocks as weapons and even threatened to kill him and his family. >> Go where? >> Seems to be here like your parents said. >> No. >> Yes. >> Dad, I'm here. Then I'll back up. >> Do not kick. >> I am talking to my dad for a second. >> Then talk. I'm going to stand right here while you do it. >> Dad, >> he can hear you. >> I can hear you, sir. >> Dad, they almost broke my wrist the other day. The class almost broke my wrist. There was four of them on me and I weigh 100 lb. >> Well, you got to calm down. You're You're just going to get in deeper trouble because I'm going to help. Dad, I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to the officer. >> That's not going to happen. >> Why? >> Because you >> Because of what you just did. That's not going to happen. >> Because I Because I scured away and got back from him. >> You were kicking. >> The dog was in my face. >> Okay. You're not talking to him privately right now. >> That's not how it's going to go. >> Just cooperate with loaded up in your vehicle. >> Why don't you help me, Dad? You have never come to help me when I needed you. Come [ __ ] help me get myself in your truck. >> Well, we got to come up with a solution for what's going on right now. >> Yeah. >> Well, right now I'm talking to my dad. >> Okay. But we can't stand here all night. So, we got to come up with a solution now. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> So, you guys are going to stand here while I grab everything that's mine. >> Well, I'm going to give you a couple options. >> Okay. I'm sure Ted is nice enough to make arrangements so you can get the rest of your stuff. Get what you need for tonight and you go or you're gonna have to go with us because you can't stay here. >> What were my options? >> I said you can gather up the stuff you need for tonight and you can go and Ted will make arrangements to get the rest of your stuff. >> Why can't Ted and I go through everything together and you guys just [ __ ] stand there? >> Because we don't have all night to do that. You're going to have to make other arrangements if you have that much stuff. So, your options are you get what you need and go or we're going to take you. And I don't want to take you. Okay? I would rather just do this peacefully. >> All my military files. I'm going to need more than this. >> I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. Tubs, Ted, we bought tubs. Like, with the [ __ ] lid on it. >> You need to stop yelling. >> Is he [ __ ] or he doesn't understand? We bought tubs. We bought tubs. >> This is your last chance. If you continue to yell and swear, you are going to go into custody. I've had enough. >> Swearing? >> Yes. I've had enough. Get your stuff and let's go. >> I'm getting my [ __ ] stuff. I'm allowed to swear. It's afraid of a [ __ ] speech. >> This close. >> Yeah. >> Get your stuff. I I got in trouble doing the same [ __ ] you do. I mean, I got hurt doing the same [ __ ] you do. >> Get your stuff and let's go. >> I'm getting my stuff. Quit telling me to do it. >> Alicia wanted to grab her stuff, but her version of stuff seemed to mean the entire property. The deputies offered her options. She offered them chaos. Every minute, their patience dropped and her volume rose. It was like arguing with a human pressure cooker about to blow. And if anyone thought yelling was the climax, they hadn't seen her final act yet. >> Huh? >> Ma'am, if I wanted you to be in trouble, I'd have to have to take you to jail a long time ago. >> You [ __ ] would have. >> You're trying my patience. >> Get your stuff and let's go. >> Do you not see me getting my stuff? >> I told you to get your necessities. >> And I'm getting my You see my necessities? >> That's not necessary. >> My medicine, my my my stuff from the military. >> No. Back up. Back up. Back up. Back up. >> Stop fighting. Stop fighting. >> Turn on your belly. Turn on your belly now. Turn over now. >> Turn over now. [Applause] [Music] You guys almost broke my wrist the other day. So, how come you guys [ __ ] How about you guys [ __ ] lock >> Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. We'll get them. We'll get them done. All right. >> You're not supposed to have other medical conditions. >> You're not supposed to punch a law enforcement officer either. >> I was getting my car. >> Okay. Hold >> Dad. They're not supposed to shot you if you have I used to have a taser if you have other me. >> What do you have? What do you have? So I can let the ambulance know. Highway. >> Ma'am, what conditions you get? >> Okay. >> All right. Roll her on your left side first. >> We got to get them probes out, too. So, >> ready? Roll on your left eye. Okay. >> Yeah. You see all these bruises on me? That's what you guys did to me the other day, too. It's what you guys did to me the other day. >> I wasn't here the other day. >> Yeah. Well, these all these [ __ ] bruises on me is what you guys did to me the other day. [ __ ] too. >> That's funny how the law is different around here than it is other places. >> Go for it. >> You take kids if you take children from parents, rip them right out of their [ __ ] hands. Don't even let Sen say goodbye or anything. >> Stick my he >> maybe. I don't [ __ ] know. >> Go ahead and take a seat in there. You all right? >> Yeah, I'm good. >> A couple times. Uh Rowan's right here a couple times in the back, but I'm good. >> Um Ian should be just about here. I'll have him follow you up. I say if you just get her there, I will do the rest. >> Um if you want to hang out with me, we can go talk to him and finish this. >> Okay. Yeah, that's fine. Go ahead. Go ahead. When warnings turned to cuffs, Alicia shifted from loud to lethal. She swung, hit, and turned the living room into a onewoman demolition zone. Officers took a few punches before the taser took center stage, ending the brawl with a jolt of electricity and disbelief. Even then, she launched into a closing monologue about injustice, like the finale of a reality show nobody auditioned for. The woman was charged with battery to a law enforcement officer, domestic battery, disorderly conduct, and resisting an officer.
