both lanes of travel on Walden AB within the city limits the truck then drove away towards the nearby progress Point apartment homes complex the officer activated his emergency lights pulled the vehicle over in the intersection of Fern Street and Laurel Drive then approach the driver as his investigation begins how you doing can I see a light restation from proof of insurance please all right asked to submit a breath alcohol sample at this time do you wish to take this test I don't wish to think the test it's a must no no no it's it's not a must I can't force you to do anything I can just submitted two breath alcohol samples with the lower of the two yielding a result of1 16 33% breath alcohol content this is over twice the legal limit of 8% breath alcohol content to drive in the state of Connecticut if over 21 years of age 2 years and 6 days after the arrest on May 25th 202 2 3 the defendant was convicted in a court of law of operation while registration or license is suspended and operation while under the influence of liquor or drug second offense otherwise known as oui which is an unclassified felony in Connecticut He was ordered to pay a single fine of $11,000 this amount has been paid in full Lawrence was further sentenced to two years on probation and two years in jail with the sentence suspended after serving 120 days in jail
