On November 3rd, 2023 in Illinois, police were called to an auto dealership where a woman was reported attempting to purchase a vehicle with a fake ID. The officer then went to the woman's house to speak with her about the attempted fraud. Hello. Hi, I'm officer Brown with the police department. Reason I'm out here is I'm looking into I got a call at a car dealership. Were you guys at a car dealership a little bit ago? No. >> Okay. I got to talk to you about whatever was going on there. I don't know if I wasn't there. So, I'm trying to get the story straight. Um, they're concerned because they think some of the paperwork didn't match up or something. Does that make sense? >> Okay. Do you provide them any kind of like fake information or something like that? Do you have like a license that you provided? Do you have that with you? >> Yeah. I see it. How's it going? Okay. What about the other license that you see that person? I need the driver's license. Where did you get that license? Where did you get it? >> I already have an answer. The wrong one. Sorry, I'm putting lotion on. I have really dry skin. Um, note to people who want to resell. Don't try to resell this brand. They will give you a DMA DMCA uh fraudulent item report because they don't want their item resold. I sold the perfume cuz I don't really like it. U I like the lotion, but and I already had sold it. So, they gave me a DMCA takedown um weeks after I had actually sold the item, which was weird. Um anyway, they're not going to do anything. It's just to scare you. And I found that out on the Poshmark Reddit. But um yeah, word to the buyers license has issued your license. >> I do have a license. >> I'd like to see the license that you have. You see how this is a problem. I'm trying to get some cooperation from you. I'm not trying to cause a big scene here. It's obvious that whatever license you provided them is not your actual license because according to the state, you don't have a license and it's not the same information that's on any of these that you license. The issue here is you understand that you've committed a crime by doing that, right? By providing a false driver's license in order to try to get approved to buy a car. You understand that's a crime, right? >> Yeah. >> You do that like because you don't have to license. You're worried that because it's not valid that you wouldn't be able to drive away with. >> I don't know. I wasn't worried about that at all. I just got the ID. >> Yeah. Well, you you just gave me three IDs and none of these are the ones that you gave them just a few minutes ago. >> Yeah. And my mom picked me up and I said I must have dropped the car because I didn't put it back in my >> Okay. >> No one who's above board has more than one ID. I have a driver's license. One, I have a lifetime gun permit. That's a form of ID cuz I had to get fingerprint for it. But one time I accidentally, don't do this, I left the state. Um, couldn't find my driver's license. I put it in a bag in the back. Um, anyway. Anyway, gave the guy my gun permit, police officer my gun permit, and it suffice. So, >> um, would you let me come in and, uh, see if your that face license is here? That's why that's the idea. I just like to get that license figure. No, but right now I have probable cause for your arrest. >> Okay? >> Because you committed a crime like I just explained. Okay? And I'm not trying to cause a big scene. I'm not trying to make a big >> and he he can come in your house to arrest you. He can't search it, but he has the right to come in and arrest you to get you. Okay. But it I don't understand the nonchalant. I guess people who've done it before don't really care. So you see Um just so we are talking right understand that anything that you say you can use against proceedings you understand that you're right attorney doesn't question at all you understand that attorney want to represent you for you any cost you understand that you work at where you physical uniform security something like Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. This is Yeah. I commit. It won't let me. It won't let me drop down. It won't let me anything else. Yeah. Charges are the charges. You know this is arrest. So if you're released after the woman was taken into custody and charged with having a fraudulent license if convicted did. What should her sentence be?
