She pointed the gun at the person and told her she was going to bust her. >> What? I DID NOT SAY THAT. >> ALL RIGHT. HE'S STARTING TO MOVE. >> YEAH, he's running. >> He just fell down. >> Come on, mother. >> Okay. >> Think I can't do it. I know. >> Black or black belt. >> Florida man. Wild stories involving residents of the sunshine state have been making headlines for years and for good reason. First, we're in South Beach, Miami, where a man allegedly tried to steal a jet ski, then jumped into the ocean and took off his swim trunks. It's Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. Police responded to a report that a man had tried to take a jet ski available for rent without permission. >> One of the key So you guys never you guys never gently recorded >> actually? He tried to grab the paper from the >> he grabbed the paddles. >> The business manager tells police the man broke a paddle and tried to hit him in the head with it before going into the water. Police on shore wait for marine patrol to arrive, but the water is too shallow for the boats to get too close. That's when the suspect decides to strip down in full view of everyone on the beach, including children. the second he >> the man can be heard yelling and even singing in multiple languages. The officers tried to get him to come out of the ocean, but it's not working. >> Eventually, several fellow beachgoers took matters into their own hands. They surrounded the suspect in the water and eventually dragged him to the sand. Get him in the water. back. >> The officers cover him up with a towel and drag him from the water up onto the beach, then put him onto the back of a golf cart. >> You guys hitting me? Shame on you. >> Nobody's hitting me. They took him to be looked over by first responders, putting him onto a stretcher and into an ambulance. The suspect tells officers his name is Neil, but is eventually identified as Yakiv Levi. He was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, lewd behavior, aggravated battery, providing a false name after arrest, and grand theft. Next, we're in Tampa, Florida. It's just after 700 p.m. on Christmas Eve 2023. According to police, 34year-old Eleazar Armando Reyes Rios crashed his car, but when an officer arrived to try to help him, Rios took off running, eventually climbing a fence into a construction site. The Hillsboro County Sheriff's Office used its helicopter to track him. >> All right, we do have a subject just north of a tree. He's on the souththeast corner. Looks like it's uh he's in a covert. He's You won't be able to see him from where you're at because it's a covert, I just realized. But you all are right across from him. >> Rios doesn't seem too concerned about what's going on as he lays underneath the tree. >> Yeah, just so you all know, he's just sort of casually laying there with his arms behind his head. >> He even starts to make dirt angels with his arms. Rios then decides to leave his hiding place and try to make a run for it, but that doesn't go exactly to plan. All right. He's starting to move. >> Yeah, he's running. He just fell down. He's running towards the west. >> The sheriff's office sent in an officer with his canine who was able to take Rios into custody. >> Get on the ground. Sheriff, get on the ground or you're going to get bit. Get on the ground or you're going to get bit. Hey, this is your final warning. Get on the ground or you're going to get bit. Ryos was charged with leaving the scene of an incident driving with a cancelled suspended or revoked license, trespassing on a construction site, and resisting an officer without violence. Now, we move to Cocoa, Florida. And this time, it's a Florida woman who's in trouble with the law. Police responded to a McDonald's fast food restaurant on March 16th, 2023 around 11 p.m. for a report of a woman threatening employees with a gun. They found Quave Young inside her SUV at the drive-thru window. >> Put that gun away. Put it down. >> The officers get Young out of the car and put her in handcuffs. >> What is the problem? >> Apparently, they saw your gun and they thought >> it's in the It's in the car. I have it in my car. That's where I have it. >> Okay. I'm just tell >> it's no big deal. She got mad because she she got mad because I asked for my order. That was the problem. I didn't do nothing. And all I said was, "I'm still waiting on my number one order because I asked for it. Now I'm trying to go home." She got mad and was on some crazy I'm like, "What are you talking about?" So I I'm wait I'm still here waiting. >> I got a gun from her and I'M STILL WAITING. >> WE don't know all that. >> I don't care. That's the crazy part. She can She can say what she want to say. That's weird. I'm still here waiting on my damn order. >> Young is insistent that this is all some sort of misunderstanding. >> What is being stopped from? What is the problem? >> I just told you. No, you do not, sir. No, you didn't. >> She saw your gun. >> Okay. >> That you were threatening. >> I did not threaten her with nothing, sir. >> At all. I did not threaten her with nothing. >> That's what we're here to do. >> No, I've been sitting in the car. Why would I threaten someone? I'm still sitting in my car waiting on my damn order. That doesn't make any sense. >> I don't know. >> She don't She's not making any sense. >> That's what we're here to figure out. >> According to the employees, Young ordered a meal that wasn't on the menu and became irate when they told her she needed to order something else. She reportedly drove up to the first window and again demanded the off menu meal. >> She pointed the gun at the person and told that she was going to bust her. >> WHAT? I DID NOT SAY THAT. She's a damn liar. >> You want to watch the video? >> No, she's not going to sit here and lie on me like that. No, she's not going to do that. And I'm going to call my mom right now cuz she That's weird as hell. You can get my um No, I'm going to get my I'm going to get my um phone. Thank you. So, >> she's a He's a liar. She's aing liar. An officer goes inside to talk to the McDonald's employees and check out store security video. And it's not good news for Young when he comes back out. >> You want to put her in the car? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> For what? >> You're under arrest. >> For what? What? What did I do? >> What did I do? Can you tell me? >> I made an assault. >> Assault of what? >> What you said? Assault? >> Uh, assault. Like, how is that assault? I didn't. >> Oh, you you telling somebody that you're going to hurt them. You got a gun next to you. >> I didn't tell her I was going to hurt her. >> Oh, that's what her saying. >> That's the call that we got. >> Young was taken to jail where she continued to repeat that she hadn't done anything wrong while she was being booked. >> I didn't even do nothing. All I said was all she didn't get my order right. Then I have already I mean that it was in my car anyways. I didn't say that I was going to shoot her or even point it towards her. So that in and of itself is a second misdemeanor to have it open in your vehicle. >> I didn't assault her. >> I just did a change about it. I can't either. >> Young was then charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, open carrying of a firearm, and driving with a suspended license. She's expected back in court for a status hearing at the end of January. Next, we head to Davenport, Florida. It's Monday, November 13th, 2023. Deputies responded to a neighborhood where two suspects, a man and a woman, were apparently breaking into cars. Surveillance video captures what happened when police showed up to the scene. The white sedan speeding past the deputies is the suspect car. They're driving around trying to find an exit, but the subdivision only has one. When the suspects turned around, they ended up crashing into a car that was fortunately unoccupied. It's a good thing the deputy decided to move his cruiser because the white car ends up landing where it was parked just moments later. 31-year-old Rebecca Kosub was taken to a hospital with a fractured leg from the crash. 37year-old Timothy Hoji was booked for a burglary of an unoccupied vehicle, petty larseny, fleeing police, possession of meth, and resisting arrest. He'll be back in court at the end of February. And get this, on his neck is the tattoo, quote, "All gas, no breaks." Both Kib and Hoji have a long criminal history with dozens of felonies and misdemeanors between them. Next, we're in Flaggler County where officials say a man stole an expensive electric scooter from a Target store, then started to assemble it right outside. It's April 3rd, 2023. A witness says a man took a Razer brand escooter valued at more than $500 out of the store without paying for it. >> What's going on, man? >> Stand up. >> Huh? >> Stand up. I'm going to detain you for a second. >> The man, who was later identified as Patrick Vanderen Miller, was cooperative with the deputy to a point. >> Did you buy this scooter? >> You don't want to answer that question? The deputy arrested Vander Maiden Miller and found drug paraphernalia in his pocket. He was charged with petty lararseny and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on a $2,000 bond. Now we're back in Pulk County where another man was arrested for theft. And it's what he's accused of stealing that really made the headlines. 26-year-old Toby Foster turned himself into the sheriff's office after apparently being caught on video taking ingredients for a cocktail from an apartment. Deputies say on November 23rd, 2023 around 5:30 in the morning, Foster broke into an apartment and stole vodka and orange juice, the common ingredients for a screwdriver. Foster was caught on surveillance camera. He was charged with burglary of a dwelling and petty larseny. Now we're in Port Orange, just south of Daytona Beach. It's Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at 12:30 in the afternoon. Police responded to a smoke shop on a report of a man being disruptive and threatening workers. >> Um, I don't know if he is still sitting out there at the moment. Um, he might be the guy at Alberto's, >> but I called about him causing a disturbance and he's come here quite a few times already and has bothered me and customers and makes me very uncomfortable. He said a lot of vulgar things to me and he likes to grab things and try and come by the counter. So kind of want him trespassed. >> The officer finds William Busy in the same shopping center. Busy tells the officer he has a question. >> I was arrested about 8 months ago. >> Okay, back up for me a little bit, please. >> I was arrested eight months ago and I spent 18 months in prison, which was not fun. >> I'm so glad to be out. But anyways, I'm suing the Valia County Sheriff. I'm suing. This is all with my lawyer. It's currently underway. >> What's your question? Just get to that. >> If I sue the Port Orange Police Department and they give me $250,000, that's taxfree, right? >> I have no idea. >> Okay. I'll have to talk to my accountant about that. >> Okay. >> The officer then tries to get things back on track. >> You are now trespassed from the store, which means you cannot go in there anymore. Do you understand that? >> All right. Then she'll have to set my stuff outside then. >> What stuff? I have $2,000 worth of merchandise that she's holding. >> Busy's demeanor suddenly changes and he becomes incredibly combative. >> No, she said that she rung a bunch of stuff up for you and you never >> go ask her, you mother. >> Okay, >> come over here and I'll kick the out of you. >> Come on, mother. >> Okay, you think I can't do it? I know. >> Don't want to do this black belt and go. >> You understand? You're trespassing the store, correct? I'll take your gun and walkie-talkie. >> Okay. >> And I'll drive off in your patrol car. >> Okay. You understand? You're trespassing from the store, CORRECT? >> YES, I UNDERSTAND YOU, MOTHER. >> OKAY. >> NOW, get the out of my face. >> I'm 12t away from you. Not in your face at all. Okay. >> Busy just threw a piece of lunch meat at the officer. And the cop at this point has had enough. >> Wait a minute. Don't put your hand back. Okay. Okay. Put your hand behind your back right now. >> You're under arrest. Put your other hand behind. Put your other hand behind your back right now. >> Right now. Put your other hand behind your back. >> Jesus Christ. >> Put your hand behind your back right now. >> Busy tells the officer that his arrest will only lead to more legal action. >> This is another lawsuit. I'm suing you for a million, 10 million, whatever. Wait till my lawyer gets a hold of this. >> Right now, you're under arrest for battery on a law enforcement officer for throwing something at me. Oh, piece of lunch. >> Yeah. Well, don't do it. Why would you throw some at me? >> Cuz you pissed me off. >> Oh, there you go. >> Busy continues to prove that he's a man who doesn't quite know when to quit. >> You're lucky I didn't have my pocket knife with me. That's your death right now. >> Busy was booked for battery on a police officer. In October, Busy was sentenced to 200 days in jail. Next, we're back in Flaggler County where a man allegedly punched his neighbor in the face, then jumped into a canal to try to get away from police. >> What are you doing, >> dude? What are you doing this for? >> It's Sunday, November 19th, 2023, just before 5:00 p.m. Flaggler County deputies say Philip McGra walked into his neighbor's garage and then hit him. Both men ended up in the street and McGraw's stepdad pulled up in a truck. McGra hopped in and the men took off. Deputies tried to do a traffic stop, but the stepfather kept driving, eventually ending up back where it all started. That's when deputies say McGraw jumped into the water and swam through multiple canals to try to avoid capture. >> You have any weapons on you? >> Pull up. >> McGra ended up going to jail soaking wet. Deputies charged him with unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling, simple battery, petty theft, and resisting an officer without violence. McGra entered a no contest plea and was ordered to pay almost $300 in fines and go to jail for 30 days. Now, we go to PK County where a man delivering for Door Dash allegedly wanted more for his services than just a tip on the app. identified by the sheriff's office as Salem, dropping off a customer's Taco Bell order in May of 2023. He looks directly at the camera several times before taking a photo of the food for proof of delivery. But then he decides to take an Amazon package from the front stoop and puts it under his shirt. The customer then reported the theft to the sheriff's office and they subpoenaed Door Dash to identify the driver. See was arrested and charged with burglary and petty theft for taking the package which had an oil filter inside worth only about $8. Our last stop on this Florida man journey is in Citrus County where the sheriff's office featured a Florida woman on its Warren of the week social media post in November 2023. The sheriff's office posted a photo of Stacy Usher who apparently tried to hide from deputies inside of a couch. Deputies had been searching for her after they say she violated her probation by selling fentanyl. Usher is a convicted felon in multiple Florida counties with a history of drug fraud, grand theft, and using bogus checks. >> You got you got any clothes with you, man? Where you clean? >> Do not I'm not doing that. >> Stop. You can't you can't be drunk, piss in ice buckets, yell at security, get in their face. >> I'D HAVE A BETTER TIME IN PRISON. Y'all made me so miserable. >> It's April 1st, 2025, when deputies attempt to stop 33-year-old Matthew Richardson, but he refuses to pull over. Dash cam video shows Richardson speeding through parking lots and side roads, leading authorities on a wild chase that stretches into another county. The pursuit involves multiple patrol units and several pit maneuvers as deputies struggle to bring Richardson to a stop. After multiple attempts, deputies finally trap his vehicle and take him into custody. Richardson is charged with aggravated fleeing, resisting arrest, and reckless driving. It's January 27, 2025 when Florida Highway Patrol attempts to stop a driver acting erratically, stopping, speeding off, and dropping off a passenger along the way. Oat. Ow. Ow. Ow. RPG. Ow. GOT IT. That driver is later identified as 36-year-old Keith Devo and he's wearing a Dalmatian onesie. >> Quick and then we'll take him to the hospital. Whatever you guys did get over My stomach. >> Your stomach too. >> Yeah. Bottled water, I tell you. >> Oh my god. >> My leg and everything. He's got a bunch of >> Yeah. So, he's also got dog. He's going to have to get snitches. So, got a dog bite. >> Hey, kick kick back in. >> Hey, boss. You know if they ever recovered my phone last night? >> Uh, not that I know of. >> Okay. >> The only you're talking about out of your truck. Uh yeah, my finger is either in my truck or I'm somewhere on the path back here. >> Yeah. No, not that I know of. The only thing I know that got taken out of your trunk is the drug paraphernalia and stuff that's in the back of my car. >> Okay. >> The deputy went to go get you a chair, but in the meanwhile, you can go ahead and slip your feet out. >> All right. Thanks. >> What the heck's wrong with your ankles? >> Up. >> I see that. But like from >> I got open ones. >> That's not from today. Those are old, right? >> Yeah, most of them. >> Okay. All right. >> You need to get up or you need help? >> Troopers say Devo refused to comply and fled from the traffic stop before eventually being taken into custody. He was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding law enforcement, reckless driving, and resisting arrest. It's May 1st, 2024, just before 3:00 a.m. when Bell A Isle police find a man asleep in his vehicle on the side of the road. Officers try to get his identification, but the driver, known only as Carlos, refuses several times before eventually complying. >> You were just calling for it? >> Yeah, he wanted my ID. >> Oh, okay. You got your ID? >> Yeah. So, if you don't need it, then we good. >> Yeah. Yeah, we can take your ID. >> It's okay. If you don't need it, we good, sir. I'm sorry. >> Well, like I said, we we'll take your ID. Okay. No, we're good, sir. >> What's up? >> Say we good, sir. Thank you. >> Yeah. Yeah. No, but I need your ID that you just call me over here for. >> No, I was talking to the other gentleman, Mr. Wilson or Wilkinson. >> Officer Matthews. >> I think that's his name. >> Yeah. So, I'm going to take him your ID. Let me get your ID. You okay, man? The light's way over there. And it's like >> my light eye is very sensitive. >> Your eyes are very sensitive. >> My eye is very sensitive. >> Okay. To what? To light. >> Yes. >> Okay. Cuz the light is over there and you're still like this. >> You You'll understand how sensitive it is. My eyes is supposed to be at at 15 or 20. Average eye. My eyes swoll up to to uh 89 and it's still above normal. And so that light irritates it. >> So even if the light's not in your eye, >> sir, please. I'm being it's cordial. I >> Yeah. So am I. >> I'm asking you a simple question. Even if the light's not in your eye, it bothers you. >> Even if it's not directly in the eye, it's very sensitive. So this light, would you agree this is just like a headlight on another vehicle? >> No, that light is a little bit more intense. >> Oh, no. This is the same as a headlight on a vehicle. >> When the headlight the headlight is coming, I I I look to the side. I don't look directly at the headlights. >> Okay. >> Yeah. And and the >> Yeah. If if if a headlight is bothering you, man, I don't know if you should be out the way driving. >> Confrontational, sir. The light indirectly it bothers my >> No, of course. Yeah. No, that's not confrontational at all. It's just a simple conversation. Even >> I'll let him know cuz we might have to we might have to sign you up for uh for >> I don't need all that. >> Well, if you if you can't see headlights coming at you, man, I mean, that's pretty dangerous. So, >> I'll let him know. I'll give him a heads up. Okay. >> Never said I can't see headlights coming at me. You're making up words. >> Well, I'm just asking you. This is equivalent to a headlight and you're saying it's it's too bright for you and it's not even in your face. >> So, if you have other cars coming at you, I mean, you're a danger to the other public. >> No, the light is exactly where it's at right now. >> Okay. All right, hang tight for us. Yeah, you can definitely smell it. Um, he also the light is like towards his dashboard more than on him. He's like, >> and I'm like, um, he says he has issues with the light. And I'm like, even the side of your face? He said, yeah, his his eyes are extremely sensitive. So, I was like, you know, this this flashlight is equivalent to the headlight of another vehicle. I said, we do have the option as law enforcement officers to um >> I told him the same thing and I told him that we I pointed at the dashboard, not at >> Well, did you tell them that that we have the option to to have him go get reertified for his driver's license? >> No, I didn't. >> Yeah, I explained that to him. So, I was like, because if you can't see a headlight coming at you, you're out on the roadway at this time of the night. Probably not safe for you to be driving if you're saying lights bother your eyes that much. Then he was like, "Oh, no, no, no, it's not the light." and he got he got upset and I'm like well which one is it? You can't see because the light is too bright and you have a eye condition that you're talking about or because at the end of the day it can't be both. If you can't see headlights which this is equivalent to headlight then we need to get you re-examined. Yeah. >> All right. >> He was adamant about like not giving me that too as well. >> I asked him four times for it. So >> yeah, he didn't want to. He said it was somewhere in his car. And >> were you able to find him? >> Yeah. Does he have a valid? >> The way he was acting was like something somebody. >> After officers smell burnt cannabis, they ask Carlos to step out of the vehicle. He refuses, forcing officers to pull him out. >> All right, Carlos. So, all right, boss. So, what I'll have you do, okay, I'll have you step out with me. Okay. Well, I'm not asking. Body cam shows Carlos fighting with police and attempting to run before being tackled and detained. >> I'm no one's reaching for nothing, sir. >> I'm telling you. May get us call a supervisor, please. Sir, >> no sir. No, sir. No, sir. Carlos, this is illegal, sir. I'm asking you, >> sir. This is illegal. What you doing to me is illegal, sir. What you doing to me IS ILLEGAL. CARLOS, STOP REACHING. STOP REACHING. STOP REACHING. STOP REACHING. STOP the car. Stop. >> Get out. Help me. [screaming] Help. HELP. You're taking [laughter] Stop. YOU'RE GOING TO GET OUT. [screaming] STOP. GET OUT THE CAR. Get out the car. That's what YOU [screaming] [groaning] >> I'm not I'm not I'm Z. I'm Zach. >> Stop. >> I'm Zach. >> You made me sir. >> Stop. >> Sir, please stop. >> Please, sir. Please, sir. >> I mean, you need medical. >> Put your hand behind your back now. I got you. >> Oh, stop. >> My balls. My balls. >> Grab >> his arm. My balls. >> Sir, Matthew, I'm not pleased. I'm not. >> You already ran over the car. I didn't do that. He yanked me out of the car, sir. My wrist. I'm not running. >> STOP REALISTIC. >> I'M NOT. Look how you doing my arm. Sir, >> I got hit. >> Please. Look how you do my sir. >> Stop realistic. >> Run, sir. >> I'll tell you. I'm tell I'mma tell you once. All right, >> sir. I told you what I do whatever you ask. >> All right. I'mma clean you up and don't do anything stupid. Okay. >> All right. On three. One, two, three. >> I promise. Sir, sir, sir, sir, sir. Wait. >> Please. I got I got cocky on me. My wrist, >> my shoulder, please, sir. >> Let's go. Come on, sir. Take a walk, please. Let me move. >> Let's go. Give me a moment. Give me a moment. Come on. Let's go. Let's go. >> My wrist. >> Which car is yours? Yours? >> Uh yours? >> Yeah. >> Where's yours at? >> The second one. Right there. >> Right here. Get up. >> I told you right there. I told you to do whatever you like. Please. >> I can't if he has my leg, ma'am. Please. My wrist. My wrist. I can't. >> It's not my leg to be comfortable, >> sir. I'm trying. >> I'm not I won't do that. >> So, then stand up. >> If you move your leg, please. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> There you go. >> Cool. Just spread your feet forward. >> Stand right there. >> Just spread your feet a little bit more. >> All right. Hand tight. >> Whatever you like. >> Yeah. Just stay there. Okay. You have anything in your pockets that's going to harm us? Stick us like that? No. Okay. >> I just want you to >> Please, sir. >> Unfortunately, hiccups are not made to be comfortable. So, I can >> It's the way they're put on, sir. It's the way they put on. >> They're put on like that cuz you just had officer ran over cuz you put the car in drive. >> No, sir. >> You escalated this whole situation. At this point, I'm trying. Just don't say anything. Okay. >> I'm trying to get the car, put it in park, and you drive me through on the ground. >> Anything in your pocket that's going to hurt me, stab me. >> No, sir. This search is illegal. This search is illegal. You're supposed to bring a supervisor here. >> You didn't You didn't read me my rights. This is illegal. >> Get up in that one. There you go. Just hang tight. Come on. Up. Up. Up. >> Can you please adjust this one? >> I'm not the one to charge her. Okay. >> Watch your legs. >> His charges remain unknown. It's February 7th, 2024 when a woman reportedly rams her car through the gate at Patrick Space Force Base. 102. I'll have stick set up at 85th and US1 just in case it turns westbound over the bridge. >> That woman, later identified as Krishna Janoski, is accused of carjacking a vehicle with her four-year-old son still in the back seat and fleeing in it across Bard and Indian River counties. Deputies deploy stop sticks and pinch in the vehicle, forcing a pit stop and apprehending Janowski after she attempts to flee on foot. >> Let me see your hands. Let me see your hands. On the ground now. On the ground now. [screaming] Get on the ground now. Get on the ground. Take her down. That's fine. Get on the ground. >> Her son is safely removed from the back seat. >> Hi, sweetie. How are you? Are you cold? >> I'm sorry, baby. >> Can I put this on you? >> Okay, here. Let me get this off. Okay. We're just making sure she's okay. Okay. >> All right, sweetie. Come here. Come here. Grab your blanket for me. Far away. >> 20 miles. >> That's not too bad. That's not too bad. Okay. Do you like candy? Okay. Are you allergic to anything? >> Yeah. >> What are you allergic to? >> You don't know? >> Okay. All right. Let me get you to scoot in. >> That's fine. Okay. >> Yes, ma'am. He's fine. Thank you. >> Okay. My name is Deputy Perez. I'm with the University Sheriff's Office. Okay. I need to read your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have your lawyer present while you are being questioned. What caused all of this? Why did this start? Here is so my sister apparently got involved with somebody that was selling drugs or something and I didn't know. And then we're painting cuz I wasn't nursing and I was painting with her. >> Mhm. >> And >> like painting jobs. >> Yeah. My both of my parents are painters. So we were painting this house and this guy tried to take me down three times >> tonight. No, this was >> before I left. And ever since that happened, they've been chasing me around. >> What do you mean by taking you down? Taking you down? Like pinning you down, hurting you? What? >> Yeah. Grabbing me off the ladder, putting me down on the ground three or four different times, grabbing me. I finally left. And then I didn't go back. But then after I left, I was threatened. And there there was um he said, "You know, I usually get what I want and all this stuff." And then they were just threatening like threatening me saying, "Oh, get out of town. Get out of town." And then when I was trying to get out of town, there was like drug dealers driving all around. And like Mike was with me. He saw it all. My dad saw it all. I had like veterans driving with me the whole way through the highway on my trip back from my dad's house to here. >> Where did your dad live? >> My dad. Sorry, my hair is not >> here. Well, tell me if you don't mind. >> Are you okay with me doing that? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Where did you say you're originally from? >> I'm from originally South Carolina. Then I lived in New York, but we lived in Melbourne. And then I found out some weird stuff was happening with my son and the guy that we were living with. So we left there. >> What do you mean by that? >> Like sexual weird things. >> Something happened to your son? >> Yeah, like sexually weird things. I reported it to the school and all that and they finally took, you know, they took me off probation. So now I can I was supposed to be able to leave, but then I went to where I was supposed to go and nobody was there. >> What do you mean? You you went to where you were? >> I went to my friend's house. >> What friend? >> My friend Mike. >> Uhhuh. >> He's the only person that's been there for me and I went to his house and it's really the only place we have to stay and then he wasn't there and he wasn't answering the door and he told me there was a key under the door and I've been getting all these messages to my phone and my sister saying, "Oh, I called you." And all this, but then nobody's answering the phone. And I don't know, there's just really weird stuff going on. What led to tonight's incident then? >> Tonight I went over there >> and >> to where is there? >> I went over to Mike's and like I just talked to him before I left. I went over there and he said, "Yeah, I'm here. Um I would stay here." >> Um or I would come there, but I had the girls so I was going to go over there. I got there and then there was nobody there. >> Mhm. And then um I was scared of the the drug dealers and the police to be honest with you after what happened the last time that I got arrested. >> Okay. >> And the sheriff have been there for me ever since this happened when I left and went to my house. >> So what did you do after you left Mike's house? >> So I left Mike's house and then I went to the space station. And >> what's at the space station >> or not? I left the hotel that I was at the Holiday Inn where all the veterans were. They were all there. They were all like apparently waiting for me. I don't know if they they were protecting me or what. So, I left and then there was people following me. So, I don't know. I just felt like I needed to get away from the police and end. >> What happened when once you were at the space station? >> When I got to the space station, I tried to give them my information and then they told me to pull over, but like I said, these people who have been driving in front of me, like veterans and stuff like that, >> like guiding me. >> I know it sounds crazy. Okay. So, you get to they tell you to pull over. Then what? >> They tell me to go over there and I followed the veteran because they, you know, they like flashed their lights and they've been doing that with me the whole way home. And there's been like drug dealers on bikes taking pictures of me. When you were at the space station, did you go through any doors, any gates, anything? >> Yeah, I went through the gates. >> You went through the gates? Did you actually go through they actually open it for you or did you actually go through them? >> Okay. So, they didn't actually open the gates for you. >> You drove through the gates. >> I followed that car. Well, I didn't bust through the gate. I followed the car and then when I got to the car, they pulled over and then that guy was sitting in that car. >> What guy was in what car? >> The guy was the car that I was driving. >> Mhm. >> He was in that car, right? And then I pulled up beside him when the police were chasing me and I jumped in the car and I put my son in the back and I crouched down in the front because I felt like I was going to get shot at. >> So whose car is this then? >> The car you're driving. Who Who does that belong to? >> That car? >> Yeah, that's the car that was it that was literally just in the space station. So somebody else was driving it before you took it? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> And then the cops arrested him and let me take it. >> So who was that? That guy. >> I don't know. >> Okay. So you took the car? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did that guy give you permission? >> He let me take it. Yeah. >> What was his name? >> I don't know. >> Okay. >> I swear I don't I have no idea. >> And you said you just pulled up to him? >> Yeah, I pulled up. >> So Have you ever seen this man before in your life? No. >> So, this man doesn't know you and he let you take his car. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And you threw you put your son in the backseat of the car and then took off. >> Yeah. >> Okay. When you took off, what happened after you left? >> I don't know. I followed the green lights. >> The green lights. Okay. Did you see the police cars behind you with their lights and sirens? >> Yeah. >> I was scared of the police. I wanted to be with the sheriff's. >> Okay. Well, do you understand the sheriff was actually behind you as well in >> I didn't know that. Okay. But you never stopped to actually talk to anyone. >> This is what led to all of this. I understand that. >> But we can only react to how you're acting. >> I know, >> right? >> And I'm telling you now that >> I need help. >> I need help with me and my son. I need to get police from our counties. There's been weird just really weird stuff. >> What's a phone number for you? So once you entered our county and you saw the two additional deputies behind you. Okay. Okay. And then and then you had flat tires because we we >> Well, I pulled over once I saw that there was a sheriff to be honest when I didn't see the sheriff's before. >> Okay. According to the arrest report, a codefendant told authorities Adams hired him to rob an ex-boyfriend's home and retrieve property Adams said was gifted to him. The report goes on to state security surveillance video captured what looked to be Adams's vehicle driving by the victim's home. And two neighbors spotted a man in teal scrubs and a person in a cowboy hat. Court records show Adams was later charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia as well as residential burglary. He is slated to go on trial for the charges in December. According to reports, this wasn't Dr. Adams's first run in with the law. He was arrested in 2020 for possession of meth, but prosecutors later dropped those charges. The Florida Department of Health license verification website also shows Dr. Adams's license is clear and active with no record of complaints or discipline despite his arrest. But the doctor reportedly took to his social media that he plans to retire from his practice effective December 1st. And seconds later, we get a glimpse of the item Andrew allegedly threw before running from police, a pair of wireless headphones. Back with the suspected bandits, officers decide to separate the pair before questioning. I'm going to talk to you up front. Okay. >> I have my glasses. Blind switch them out. >> It's just these. >> Yep. All right. I'm going to take these off. >> Yeah. >> I'm going to go with you. One second. All right. Don't do anything crazy. Your guys's? >> Yeah. >> That's all her info? >> Yeah. >> So, who did you rent from? >> It's a It's a friend of mine. >> So, he he knows you have the car. >> Absolutely. >> Officers aren't exactly buying Danielle's story and continue asking questions. >> I just didn't know why my sergeant You were in there earlier though, >> but I didn't touch anything. >> Yeah, but you were with them, >> sir. I wasn't with him in the store. >> So, the cameras are going to lie. >> I wasn't in the store with him at all. >> Okay. Why are you guys together? >> Are you guys together or are you guys boyfriend? He's Yeah, you say he's running. >> I doubt he >> Oh, we know he ain't fast. >> He what? >> We know he's not fast. >> No, I didn't say I say he's not violent. >> Yeah, I know. >> Violent. just he ran. >> They just they just have him as like >> But here's my thing. Like why are you doing this with him or why are you contributing to his delinquency? Like that's my question. >> I'm not. >> You driving him around is is an accessory to everything. Yes. >> But I don't know what >> I mean. Guy comes out with with stuff that you know he don't have money for. He didn't come out. >> He did. He did. >> Yes, he did. >> He tried. >> He tried. >> I have freaking >> I'm sorry for being rude. >> You're fine. >> Okay. So, listen to me. Is it Danielle? Yeah, >> ju just just be honest with me because it might just be we just get him >> and you might be helpful. So, what has been going on? Where have you guys been going to because we talked to them? They have a communication with a lot of different different Best Buy >> and they have been tracking you guys for months. >> I don't >> Okay. >> I don't know. So, what is all the stuff in the back of the the the rental car or >> Yeah, that that curig thing. Is that yours? >> Mine. >> Okay. Did you pay for it? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you have a receipt for it? >> No. >> Okay. So, am I not going to ask another agency that has that same one stolen and they're going to tell me that it's not stolen? You sure about that? Because they have records of all those. All the serial numbers on those things are all tracked. >> Okay. Okay. So, do you what did you which car did you pay for it with? >> Paid it with cash. >> Paid with cash. Okay. >> But it was a while ago. >> Okay. How long ago? >> Like probably 3 weeks ago. And it's not >> Where's it from? >> Best Buy. >> Where's it from? >> Like a Marshall. Marshall. >> As for that product the officer is talking about. >> This right here. >> It's a espresso. >> Is there a batch label on it? >> That has Is that one of your guys'? >> No, that's not ours. I was checking for a batch label. Big retailers have like a giant sticker that's on it that comes from truck. It'll tell you what location it came from and what store it went through. >> No, that's just >> what's this right here? >> An espresso machine that generally retails for over $500. As Danielle's story starts to unravel, she decides it's time to fess up. >> Were you here two weeks ago? Me? >> Mhm. >> Two weeks ago? >> Yeah. Sure about that? >> No. >> Okay. >> 2213 to 2212. Talk round one. Hey, uh, make sure you take pictures of that so you can bring it out here and show her. >> Is that what you're going to stick to? You weren't here two weeks ago. >> I don't I don't >> When's the last time you were in that store? >> A month ago. >> Okay. Did you take anything? >> I took anything? >> Yeah. Just be honest because I'm about He's about to bring it and show you on the cell phone. There's video on it. Now it's time to be honest. Thank you. What did you take? What did you take? You don't remember? Okay. Did you take it home? Did you take the items home? Was he with you when you took those stuff last time? >> Yeah. >> Danielle admits to some fault. But back with Andrew, the 36-year-old is singing a different tune. >> What's wrong? >> All right. She's going jail, too. >> For what? >> Retail theft. >> She ain't steal. >> Yeah, she did. >> What do you mean? Yes, she did. >> Two weeks ago. >> Two weeks ago. Yeah, they have her on video two weeks ago. She already meant to it. >> Yeah, she already meant to it. Step out for a second. Try it. Step out. All right, you go. two weeks ago. What are you talking about? Two weeks ago. >> Get in the car. I'm asking you a question. Whoa. I told you she's going for two weeks ago. She stole two weeks ago. >> About a month ago. >> When? >> I don't remember. >> Got it on video. Yeah. >> Nobody got on video. >> Huh? >> Nobody got nobody on video here. >> She already admit to it. >> She just did. She >> She's ready to change, man. You're not. >> Change. What? That dude's a lost cause. >> Huh? >> He hates police. I'm not going to tell you any. >> Meanwhile, a search of the suspect's car uncovered various drugs and paraphernalia, including fentinol. With Andrew remaining tight lipped, officers questioned Danielle one more time. >> Do you use drugs? >> Yes. >> Okay. What kind of drugs do you use? >> Heroin. >> And what about him? >> Xanax. >> Heroin and Xanax. Have you used any today? >> Yes. >> Now listen, we're going to have a female search you. Is there anything on your person right now? >> No, nothing on. >> Is there any in the vehicle? >> There's a there's a guy asked me >> gentleman asked me. >> What's that? Bill. >> No. No. The gentleman asked me if there was anything. >> Okay. So, in the passenger door, there's a baggie with a white powdery substance. What is that >> in the passenger door in the front of the vehicle? >> Powdery substance. >> Yeah, it's like a white powdery substance. >> It's supposed to be like um Molly, but it's nothing. It's like some chime. >> Is that yours? His? >> It's not mine. >> But on video, you are in concert concealing the merchandise. Like, is this the first time you ever done something like this? Okay. Did he pressure you to do this? I was like, I'm going to be honest with you. You two are suspects in numerous Best Buy burglaries throughout the entire state of Florida on video at numerous stores. So, to sit here and tell me that this is the first time you've done it, >> I didn't say I didn't answer you. >> Okay. I'm just letting you know you're on video for numerous different agencies. You're suspects and they have charges on both. You just didn't know who you were. >> Why are you going around the state of Florida stealing stuff from all these best buys? >> You know, that's that's a a big problem, right? >> Yeah. >> Like, are you are you stealing for your drug habit or what? Okay, so you steal to fund your drug habit. >> Where do you guys even live? We don't have a >> So, you got you just you go kind back and forth. >> Do you have any ties to this county? >> Or do you just happen to see a Best Buy on like your GPS and you came here? >> Now, we're we're going to tear your car apart. There's no other drugs in that car. >> Not that I know. I can't answer for anybody else. >> How many different Best Buies do you think you stole from? They said there's at least six different ones. >> Six? >> I believe they said six. Yes. >> I don't know. sex on it as well. >> How many How many do you think it was then? >> I have no idea. >> A couple. >> I don't do this every I don't do this often. I don't do this really ever. So, I say six is kind of crazy cuz I don't believe. >> So, you didn't know what he was intending to do today. You You weren't with him in store pointing out stuff and he came back to the car cuz on video the stuff he pointed out he stole which is why I'm asking. >> I pointed stuff out. >> Yeah. I don't understand what that means. >> So when that was today's that was today's attempt, right? >> Yes. >> On video you point out merchandise like on on a shelf, >> right? >> You come back out the store, you go it's on camera. You go into the vehicle. The stuff that you pointed out. >> So how would I point at stuff? I don't know. >> So this is a finger. This is pointing. You use this finger to point out a product that he stole. >> I use my finger. >> That's what pointing means. Yes. Okay. But he doesn't have a cell phone. So, how the hell would that work? >> What? We talking about a cell phone. >> Well, he wasn't with me in the store. >> We have you on video. Okay. Both of you inside the store. You're pointing at items on the shelf. >> Are you talking about today? >> Yes. >> I didn't go in there with him. >> So, how could I be pointing out stuff? Danielle comes sort of clean to the officers, but further investigation of that car soon reveals two, let's just say suspicious discoveries. >> Is this like a list of stuff that was >> theft? These are all things that I think they sell on online. Target. >> She's got another book. >> Burlington, Hobby Lobby. >> We're going to take sees this. >> They got They got stuff here, too, on this other one, too. >> Yeah, we're we're going to take this as evidence. >> You heard that right. Officers found two notebooks filled with various notes about products in stores. Let's see what Danielle has to say about those. >> Some of these dates are back to March till 91. I'm just going to ask if she ask what this is. >> So, what's all this you have written out on these le like a ledger? >> Oh, >> you have store names, products, prices. >> What are you talking about? >> Burlington, Hobby Lobby, Target, >> things. >> And then you have that says sold pending. Are you are you putting stuff online to sell that you steal? >> No. >> So if I were to send your picture out to every department in the entire state >> for Hobby Lobby, Burlington, and Targets, you're not going to be a suspect of any any theft from those stores? saw it. It says you sent out what? How do you How do you obtain this stuff to sell? >> Is this your notebook? >> No, >> this isn't your notebook in your car. The the Hello Kitty, like the bag you're on camera carrying, Hello Kitty. These Hello Kitty notebooks aren't yours. >> Oh, those are really old. I mean, some of the dates are 325 2024, which is not that old. Is this not your handwriting? >> That's my handwriting. >> That is >> That's my handwriting. Those are my books. I >> like You're looking at stuff that really has nothing. >> So, well, let me let me explain it to you from >> like there's like nothing in there. Like, I don't understand. Like, you're going through my like personal like >> Well, we we can search your vehicle. >> No, I don't care. You can look at anything. It's just things I want at Hobby Lobby. I mean, you can go to every Hobby Lobby and see if I saw anything. No. No. >> Okay. Well, the reason Let me explain to you why I'm >> No, you're just frustrating me cuz like that's like that's like silly stuff. >> Well, stealing from numerous Best Buy is also silly stuff. But here we are, right? >> I guess. >> I mean, I didn't put you in this position, did I? >> No. So, don't get mad at me for a decision that you made. Correct. >> Okay. So, this is all just personal notes you're saying, correct? Okay. >> No, everyone has their own unique way of stop taking notes. >> I just wait just to >> Soon enough, Andrew joins Danielle in the back of that patrol car before they're both whisked away to jail. >> All right, boss. Hop out for me. I'll give you extra pair. There you go. All right. You're going to switch to another car. It's a little bit less comfortable, but you won't be in it that long. Okay. All right. Walk right over here. Step right over here for me, sir. Just give it Yeah. Give it a little explain to me what your charges are right now, sir. Or no. >> Okay. Take a seat for me, sir, cuz you ran from the sergeant. Uh, you also have on your side of the vehicle um fentanyl and some other drugs. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. So, take a seat for me. >> You won't be here that long. We're about to get out of here. Okay. Andrew was booked for multiple charges, including resisting arrest, grand theft, two counts of pettit theft, and various drug charges. Court records show at last check, the 36-year-old now only faces charges of resisting arrest and one count of pettit theft after the other charges were dropped. Danielle was booked for grand theft. In another case out of Miami, the duo was accused of stealing nearly $20,000 worth of merchandise from another electronic store as recently as January. >> It's [snorts] 9:00 a.m. at a school in Charlotte County, Florida, where [music] a parent drop off is about to land one man in detention. So when he decided to get out of the car as soon as I could get out I was getting out of the car. So he soon as we he stopped he pulled out and he jumped out of the vehicle. >> But there's no other kids. >> That had to be an exciting couple 30 seconds. Huh? Court records show she later pleaded no contest to the charges, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for time served. But this incident is far from Corin's first rodeo. Police reports show Korin has been arrested at least seven other times since 2019 for various charges including drug possession, trespassing, and previous charges for driving with a suspended license. >> My son's okay. I'm just saying y'all what y'all are saying doesn't make any sense, but sounds like you guys are trying. >> I'm not saying nothing. All the other one. That's all I >> Okay. >> Are these your kids or are they >> her kids? She was blown up, I guess, as she >> You heard that right. The man tells officers he has a warrant for his arrest, which might better explain the alleged escape attempt. I'll grab mine. I need it anyways. It's not a request of a dog. >> Yeah. Hey, can you unlock your car? I want to talk to her for a second. >> I didn't read it, Miranda. >> Hm. >> No, I'm just asking about anyone can uh that can come pick up your children. >> Yes. I just really was worried. >> So when I got next to you on my truck, you were just going to go around me. Well, I mean, I just I just was trying to get to him to to the hospital and and I didn't know what to do at that point because I mean, at that point, I'm already, you know, on the you know what I mean? Like I I didn't mean to and I was going very slowly. I wasn't trying to be um eluding, you know, any by any means. Sir, my my son's just sick and he's not >> Where do you guys live at? >> We live right >> and I mean, sir, sir, I I really do apologize. I I I don't know what else to say about that. I mean, I get you apologizing, but that doesn't help the fact that you didn't stop for several police officers. >> And I I'm so sorry. I was this close to the hospital and I just I mean, I I was trying to get on the phone with the police department and let them know that I was headed that way. That way you guys would know, you know. And I mean, I was going real slowly and I put my hazard on as well. So, I I kind of thought that that would be kind of a signal that I was headed to the hospital. I don't I don't know. I'm I'm really sorry about that. >> Probably just trying to find a spot so he can run from us. That's okay. >> Just sit. Sit your legs. Um, we just need their names, the date of birth since they're uh occupants, passengers, and I got them. I'm calling the mom now. >> Her mom to come pick them up. >> So, what about her? We want to know if you can come pick them up. >> The officer manages to find a ride for the children when Michelle decides it's time to come clean. >> What was she saying something to me? >> Yeah. >> Sorry. I was on the radio. >> It's okay. I apologize again. I, you know, when you put the lights on or whoever was behind me, you he said to me, "I'm not sure if I have a warrant. I do not have a warrant. Please don't stop, you know, until we get there." And I said, "What do you mean?" You know, and I said, "Um, are you planning on I'm you don't know if you have a warrant or not? Um, what what's going on with everything?" Um, basically, and he's like, "Listen, don't stop. I'm telling you, don't stop or else something bad's going to happen." I said, "What do you mean?" You know, like I I was very fearful to stop. That's that's a big reason why I didn't stop. I just don't want to say that too loud. You know what I'm saying? I I don't know. I I apologize. >> Who is he to you? >> Um he is a on and on and again boyfriend. >> Okay. Did you guys read her Miranda? >> Nope. >> Okay. He was he was hyperventilating. I think it was a little bit over the top, but he was he was definitely throwing up and dry heaving and things like that. I was concerned and that's why I was headed to the hospital, you know. Um, when he tells me that cuz he was saying basically when we get to the hospital, don't you know, I'll play I'm planning on jumping out basically is what And I was like, "Wait, what do you mean?" And you know, he's telling me, "Don't stop. Don't stop." >> You know, um I had no idea. I >> And I was in fear, you know. for me, for my kids. >> In fear of what? >> Just anything that he might do to me. >> Why would you think he might do something to you? >> Well, I mean, he has in the past. >> Does done what? >> I mean, just been um like very aggressively um >> like verbally aggressive. >> Yes. And and and telling me that things are going to go this way and that's it. Um you know what I mean? Just very much so. Yes. And I mean, like I said, I apologize profusely. My dad was used as cow. I mean, I I just don't know. I don't know. >> Um, well, I'm going to be straight up with you. Okay. So, I understand the things you're saying. I get that that he's the one that said for you to keep going. Okay. So, all that, >> you know, we'll we'll uh we'll put it in the report. >> I appreciate that. I mean >> for the judge >> I just wouldn't >> but that's all we can do. >> I understand and I wouldn't have ran from you guys or anything. I I was going very slowly at that >> but still not stopping. Listen, I'm just explaining to you not stopping for police when they have their lights and sirens on >> in a clearly marked vehicle. >> I pulled up next to you in my vehicle. >> Yes, sir. >> And you try to go around me. >> I apologize. So that's scared for me and my kids because of them, you know, like >> that scared me >> because I mean things will help me from and and make a turn, you know what I mean? >> Sure, but we'll help. >> No, you're right. I was scared. I didn't know what to do. That's why I was going really slow and I put my hazards on and I was trying to get on the phone with the police department. You know, I'm so sorry. I just I didn't want to I didn't want him to do something drastic like he almost grabbed the wheel like as soon as I put the lights on or whoever was running. >> That puts your kids in danger as well. What you just >> Exactly. That's what Well, no. That's why I slowed slowed way down like >> because you guys get to the hospital. That's definitely just just happened. I mean, that had to have just happened cuz I I mean, I have insurance and everything on on I don't >> That's why you have a cease tag order in your car, too. You don't have insurance on your car. >> I But I do. I just had the I just printed out the progressive information. Is Is that Does it Does it show its recent? Does it show when it was suspended? Michelle later pleaded no contest to a lesser charge and was sentenced to 6 months of probation. But this arrest is not exactly the 37year-old's first rodeo. Court records show Michelle has been booked three other times within the past four years for possession of methamphetamine. A police report shows the kids were again in the car for at least one of those arrests. I'm not being smart. >> Yeah, >> you don't even understand. >> Stop talking. >> Did you get it from the store? >> It's cold. >> It's just orange. That's from the bottom of the >> Yeah, I know.
