on April 20th 2023 police officers respond to a call of a man claiming his son beat him up and threatened to stab him with a screwdriver officers responded to the house to talk to the dad and the son later shows up and runs into police hi sir are you doing okay yeah okay we have uh fire uh rescue on the way okay yeah I'm okay okay well they're just here that they're I'm not saying you don't have to go to the hospital or anything but they're just making sure that you're okay all right is there anyone else in the house uh my roommate he's sleeping in the bed okay um yeah so what are you here you got you with a screwdriver or something with a screwdriver and he'd beat me on the face with the screwdriver with his hand I always had it he had a screwdriver in his hand he didn't stab me with it no oh it was it but he came at me yeah but how did he get the gas on your response punching me punching you with the suit with like with the screwdriver with his hand all right with the butt end of the screwdriver it ain't just with his hand he had a screwdriver in the other hand okay but he didn't he didn't stick me to that but he kept coming at me with it okay well what do you mean coming at you like was he like making motions or what yeah pretty much okay let's go ahead and put my arms up and blocked him we just started wraps around anybody got on top and he started punching me in the head and everything is the screwdriver still here I don't know did he take it with him or do you know I have no idea I was trying to get the license plate and he kicked me deciding in the back when I tried to get the license plate okay because this isn't the first time he's done this to me you guys have priest reports on it too has he been drinking tonight uh I'll probably end up yeah yeah and this happened before and I refused to press charges and I should have went through with it but I didn't this happened about five or six months ago maybe okay when he did it so how did this all start uh over TV remote that he took because he's just did he used to live here got a mental problem he lives here okay was he taking it somewhere else or I don't know and he just went nuts okay but you're for sure certain he had the suit well handed he had the screwdriver and you know his right hand yeah okay right he hit I don't know you know it's happened so fast he's my son you know right I understand but uh yeah right hand he just held a screwdriver okay but you said he came at you with a screwdriver like he was advancing towards you with the yeah okay were you afraid that he was gonna stab you with this oh yeah so I had to try to do something you know I didn't know if he was gonna stab you with it or not when I was trying to hold his arm and he just kept punching me in the outside of the head gotcha I met him until like an fa so he said he said my son attacked me okay right really for no reason what started it all just a remote being lost and him just being crazy you said he was trying to assistant you said he was trying to take the TV time yeah yeah so they're knocking the TV trying to break up yes brand new he was trying to break it and as a screwdriver with him he says it's not I grabbed the TV and jeez what kind of screwdriver is it looked like a little Phillips because we were using it and I don't even know why he would pick that up and try anything I was just happy with it he was just coming at me with it but you don't know if he still has it or not it could still possibly be in here you don't know yeah all right okay how's your did he punch you yeah okay when I was holding his his other arm he started punching me in the side of the face who hit who first try taking my phone he hit me okay God come on I don't want to fight my son but he went nuts he's mentally unstable at first so he hit you then you then what happened then you held him down I tried okay I tried to get away from him and then he started hitting you some yeah she was my back was turned I ran from the kitchen and here I'm going Brian you gotta stop attacking me in here then we've got back up but he hit me in here and that's when he had the screwdriver and I grabbed it and you said you threw some plates did you throw a plate yeah because I tried to hit him with something because he kept [ __ ] coming at me was that before or after he said I was after he [ __ ] bust me in the head so he hit you first yeah trying to protect myself okay with that dance was it in there I don't know what the hell he's doing he's not something crazy yeah first time this has happened how old is he awesome because he said he didn't handle but he he made the I asked him emotions over something stupid yeah I think yeah because I made sure to ask because he said he made motions he didn't actually hit him with a screwdriver but yeah yeah so I just grabbed his arm later on the sun arrives back at home and police find him and conducts some tests and take him into custody going on Facebook so what's going on man my dad just got into it with me he's drunk start hitting me and [ __ ] so I wanted to leave man because it's [ __ ] hitting me and blaming [ __ ] on me okay you've been drinking too tonight no all right well if I haven't stepped out real quick you don't have any weapons on you dude no okay all right I was just trying to get this way I just want to search real quick face this way just make sure that's what you can't find your back all right so just want to make sure you don't have any weapons and I want to get your side I don't want to get that outside all right all right so what's going on I'm not gonna put you in the cuff because I want to talk yeah yeah my dad was threatening me okay there's something wrong at home okay I tried helping him with it and he just started accusing me my father started accusing me of his TV okay I tried helping him with it what's wrong with the TV real quick it's password Amazon Roku stuff what happened yeah tonight yeah then he started throwing plates and silverware and stuff at me and I'm not gonna deal with that I'm not gonna sit at home and have my father try to wreck me man you know and then what happened and then I started you know I started telling him look I'm trying to do everything I can man to help you out man it's it ain't never enough man it just ain't never enough correct so I tried leaving and then he still starts throwing stuff nope I didn't do nothing man would you come at him with a screwdriver nope did you ever put your hands on him tonight no I didn't did he put his hands on you yes he put his hands on me oh wow yes he started grabbing me choking me and [ __ ] man uh you just said he started pulling stuff at you then you got your current left so let's start over what happened so you guys got an argument over to you yeah over the TV then he started choking me and started throwing stuff at me so that's when I tried to leave and then he he said oh no you ain't going nowhere man in the house this all happened today didn't happen inside the house outside the house inside the house 7 A.M 7 P.M 10 30 P.M right now 10 o'clock No it started happening at like nine o'clock nine nine thirty yep so what you're telling me is Ashley you tried helping them put the password in yeah I tried helping him doing everything okay yeah all right so here's what I'm gonna do oh he's staying with
