On April 22nd, 2025, officers from the Little Rock Police Department responded to a 911 call after witnesses reported a woman bleeding in the middle of the road, but this was just the beginning. >> Did anybody see him? >> Yes, the lady next door. >> Okay. >> He was here but we are afraid. And we're going to have We have some kind of felony domestic battery charges. >> According to the victim, the incident began during an argument with Jeffrey Austin Willis. She told officers that Willis had her paycheck inside his vehicle. Determined to get it back, she followed him outside as he climbed into a gold 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. Meanwhile, paramedics focused on stabilizing the victim. They carefully cleaned the blood from her head and wrapped the deep laceration. She also complained of severe pain in her knee after hitting the pavement. >> What does he look? Does he have a bald head? >> No, he has hair like down to here. Officers continued by interviewing witnesses and reviewing the evidence. >> Yeah. >> What car was it? >> I heard a bunch of yelling out here and then I heard them go outside. So, I saw over the fence in the next lot a car parked and she was like on the back of the car and then pulled it was like a SUV. A >> But she said give me >> Okay, an SUV. However, they did release his jail transport footage. >> You shut off for a second. >> Yeah, I was just so there wasn't two hours of video footage. >> Following the investigation, Jeffrey Austin Willis was identified as the suspect and later taken into custody. Based on the evidence collected, investigators pursued felony domestic violence-related charges, and the case was forwarded for prosecution.
