On February 23rd, 2024, police officers in Michigan pulled a vehicle over for failing to use a turn signal. >> Police notice a smell of marijuana and a small black firearm case inside the vehicle once stopped. The driver first claims he has a paintball gun and police end up finding a Glock that may have been involved in a shooting and start to interview the driver who was just getting off a night shift at McDonald's. mouth burning from. Hold down all the windows for me, brother. Just keep your hands on the steering wheel for me. Okay. Thank you. How you doing? Doing great. >> Officer, what are these Lancing Police Department stopping you because you didn't use your turn signal to turn on to Lake Lancing from Hardy? >> Okay. >> Okay. Can you step out for me? Talk out here. You know what? No guns or nothing on you. Correct, sir. >> No. >> No. Okay. Just keep your hands out. Step out. I'll just talk to you out here. Okay. >> Yeah. All right. Keep your hands up here and just step right back here for me. Okay. You're good. You're good. You're good, man. >> You just face your car for me. Okay, you're not under arrest. You just place your hands behind your back real quick, though. Interlock them like you're praying. I'm just going to You care if I search you real quick? Make sure you got nothing on you. >> Okay, just interlock your fingers for You're okay, man? You're not under arrest. Just Just interlock your fingers. >> Figure out a few things. We'll talk to you here in just a minute. Okay. >> Take a step apart for me. Okay. >> No. No needles on you. It's going to poke me. >> Okay. No problem, man. >> That's okay. We'll like I said, we'll talk to you about it. Yep. >> My name is Sergeant Terrell. This is Detective Woodruff. We're just uh doing some traffic enforcement here and and stuff like that. I just want to talk to you. It smells like you got some marijuana. >> What? >> Okay. So, um where do you have any firearms in the car? >> No. >> Are you sure? >> Okay. My partner seeing saying that there's a Glock box in there. >> It's a Smith and Wesson box. It's for paintball. >> It's for paintball. Do you mind if we take a look and make sure that there's not a real gun in there? >> I just want to make sure that we're all safe. Does that >> I I do mind. I do my my personal >> Okay, >> we're going to get >> Yeah, >> we're going to get her out of the car as well. Okay, >> just step back here. >> It's It's legal for us to get everybody out of the car now that there's a weapon box and you're not telling me what's in there. Then I'm so much more >> lean up against the vehicle right here. Okay, against the vehicle right here. >> You can face us, but >> just have a seat. >> What's your shift at McDonald's? >> Third chips. About what time you guys get out? Um 4. >> Oh yeah. 4 in the morning. >> Yes. I'm just going in. Okay. >> Is your ID in here, man? Do you mind if I grab it? Is it okay if I grab it or do you want to take me from >> Do you have a CP or No, you don't have CP. Okay. or just >> Yeah. Just curious. I never really work there a lot. >> Oh, can I close my door? >> Uh, I'll do that. We're going to have you stand right here. Okay. When I figure some stuff out, >> where do you play paintball at? >> I I shoot around. I don't I don't go to that specific spot or anything. Okay. Like you shoot around at what? >> And my my dad's boss has property out in out. >> Okay, sounds good. When's the last time you used that? >> A couple weeks ago. >> Okay. Why didn't you have that? >> Like a is it? So, if it's just a It's just a gun. >> My car not >> Hang on. Hang on. My car is not We'll get it. We'll get it. >> Did it pop out of gear before? >> No. I I I just shot. >> We saved it. Don't worry. >> There's a cigarette box. >> Okay. >> Yep. Ma'am, >> can you get the cigarette box for us? >> I appreciate that. >> Um, so tell me again, why are we carrying the paintball gun around at Like for protection? >> No, it was just misplacing. >> Just misplacing. >> I was getting in and going. >> Okay. Um >> Yeah, that's >> that's weird. Like do you drive any other cars? Like I don't know if this one's safe. >> What do you mean? >> Cuz it just started driving all by itself. >> Put it in park. >> Oh, okay. >> You guys >> Hey, Sman. You want to just start running people for me >> on the radio? >> All right. So, we have >> Yeah. >> The gun box and >> Yeah. gun box doesn't get >> just uh >> yeah just >> so this is possibly the it's a vehicle that left an address to where possible suspect from the shooting last night was the Smith and Wesson at the bottom. So, >> that's what I do. >> Make sure you thoroughly run, you know, and uh just take your time to make sure you're doing it right. >> Did you drive this car last night? >> Okay. >> How much smoking. >> Obviously, >> she all way to work. >> Okay. >> Well, I'm concerned about your uh safety and your ability to drive, and I'm worried about her ability to drive, too, since you guys were both smoking marijuana to your own admission. Okay. >> Well, I was. >> Okay. So >> based on my training and experience, when you guys let the windows down, it was all rolling out. So I would be concerned and would not be able to release the vehicle. >> Okay. >> So what I would like to do is figure some things out and then >> my coworker to come back and all my belongings. >> Okay. Um why don't you uh sit with my partner and we're going to figure out what we're going to do for you. Okay. We'll see how we can help you out. All right. >> I think So we got burnt into >> he says that they need pistols >> everything is good probably >> I'm also thinking for the name. Okay. >> OB narcotics. >> We can't let him die for us cuz he's been smoking. She's been hot. The only thing that we can do is if we do that, >> we have to do an inventory. >> So, I think we have multiple avenues. Um, yeah. Let's just run and see. I feel like that's PC to go in there and make sure at least that gun is a paintball. >> And he's smoking marijuana. >> So, I say we do PC search the car. Make sure that gun is a paintball gun. >> And then maybe we can talk to him and rule him out to make sure that >> Yep. >> I say we do that. >> I got the trade in the back. Okay. How you doing? >> Sounds good, man. If you just stay where you're at, we won't have any issues. All right. Appreciate it. >> Um, >> no. Well, probable cause at the gun box, >> right? >> We just want to grab it. So, >> okay. Um, there's >> Yeah, there's no unloaded. There's no ammo. >> He said there's a magazine in here. There's a magazine 1020. >> I don't know yet. I'm going to see what we got here. >> Haven't done any more of a search. >> Nope. Haven't done anything or >> No, but based on how does have a CPL and the gun box is sitting at his feet. So, >> I'm going to call uh Mitchell real quick. Make sure she wants us to interview him. >> No. >> Hey, sorry. Sorry to call you right now. >> You're too close. Um, hey. So, we've been sitting on this house and we made a stop on um one of the subjects that um is possibly related. Um we have there's a gun in the car. Um it's there's no Nope. This is a guy that was he's not registered to that address, but he came out of the Espiranto address that we've been sitting on all night. and he's I believe I don't know if it's a brother or a friend of um Anyways, long story longer. Do you want us He's got a gun in the car. No CPL, but it's unloaded. So, do you want us to interview him and take the gun for safekeeping and release him? Do you think we should bring him in and have you be interviewing tomorrow? >> I guess I don't know how far you guys would like us to go with it. Meridian. Yes, they came they they came out of that apartment. >> Yep. Yep. It's It's a Yep. It's a white male. Um he's 5'7. He matches the exact description that our victim gave. Um his name is Yep. Yep. So, yep. He's just he's just detained in our back seat and we're going through the car to make sure there's nothing since we found a gun. Um making sure there's no other load of firearms in the vehicle. Um, so it's it's a black gun, but it's got like a very shiny slide cuz then they say it's a silver slide. So it's it's like a very glossy black. So it's not like a normal matte black that you would see on like a regular black. So it could very easily be distinguished as like silver cuz it's so shiny. So um Yeah. So, I don't know if we I mean, we can just interview him on the side of the road right here, but I mean, if you tell us to tax in, I just don't know. Um, okay. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, the car. Yes, the car was parked right by the red vehicle that we thought was possibly a suspect vehicle as well. >> Correct. And I mean is Yeah, I don't know also about the gun too. I don't know if we need to take it to run. I just I don't know. I don't know if we want to run stuff because we have a bullet. Um, I just don't know how far you want to go with it or if you just Yeah. Okay. Well, we'll we'll run it. We'll I say this. We'll run it. We obviously have him positively IDed. We'll just interview him right here on the side of the road in the back of the car. Ran into him. Interview him. If he gives us something that happened, then obviously we'll take him toward jail and get him in custody. But if he says, "No, I was there. have no idea what we're talking about. We'll explain to him why we talked to him, interviewed him, and we obviously have him, the gun identified, everything, and then we can just release him and go from there. Yep, that sounds good. >> Okay, sounds good. I'll run it by uh Terrell and then uh we'll uh obviously do a stop and everything. All right. >> All right. Yep, no problem. Bye. You're dead. >> So, she's thinking, and what I think too, all we have right now is >> absolutely run the gun. Make sure it's gun that's registered to him. Um, I say we just >> he's going to not necessarily know the gun. The gun's >> I would love to know what's going on. >> Well, we're I just got off the phone. Let's start. So, um, so it's not loaded. So, try CCW if unloaded. But what I was thinking we would do is just interview him right here. >> Yeah. >> See if he breaks down and says, "Yeah, it was me." You know, I was having a bad day. In that case, and obviously we'll take him for a win and all that stuff. Um, I say we run the gun, make sure it's registered to him, not stolen or something. Um, if he doesn't want to talk and just says, "Nope, I want to be on my way or whatever," then we'll just have to kick him off. >> Okay. >> Possibly identified, we'll put in there the what he does or doesn't say to us, >> right? And then >> So, I just got done interviewing a girlfriend. >> She said that he got got out at 3:00 from McDonald's 3 a.m. this morning. um >> hangs out in that parking lot for 3 hours allegedly. >> And then at like 5:53 he texts her, "Babe, I'm on my way." She got injured last night. Okay. >> And so he had dropped her off um >> at urgent care. We went back to McDonald's. That was around 1:30. Gets back >> and uh He works till about 3 and he hangs out and goes in and out in and out of McDonald's allegedly to bring to her who's not there. >> Um then he texts her at 5:53 this morning >> saying I'm on my way. Um he was going to bring her her meal, like their free meal for the night that they get. >> Um >> he said that he she said that he never drives a car, his her car, and that he only drives that car. Um, and that when he left early care at 1:30, it he took that car with him. Um, and never touched her car according to her. >> Okay. >> Um, >> so I'm in agreement. We run it, make sure it's legit. >> Um, and then, uh, I think that we can we have enough for DB to do some followup and then we just interview him here. >> Yeah. Yep. confirm he's a suspect or eliminate a suspect. >> Yep. And then if he doesn't want to talk or he gives us a story that doesn't make him suspect give him his gun back and say this is why we did what we did and >> Yep. >> easy. >> Well, he kept saying sorry for not being honest about >> Okay. >> the gun part. So, I guess hit on that like why would you want to lie about it? >> Right. Right. That's also So, um >> I grabbed his phone out of the car. >> I can talk to you. >> Yeah. Um talk to him and I'll just stand there. >> Okay. You have a card? I have a card. Thank you. That way he good if I call you that man. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> Okay. I'm sure you got a lot of questions right now. Okay. So, I'm going to explain everything right now. Okay. Sounds good. Um, right now I'm just going to read you your Miranda rights because I don't want you to say anything and I don't want to question you or anything without your rights being protected. Okay. So, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to an attorney and have him or her present with you while you are being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning upon your request. You can decide to exercise these rights at any time and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand these rights that I've read? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Will you talk to me about what's going on? >> You will question. >> Okay. All right. Sounds >> I guess my first question for you would be why'd you tell us it was a paintball gun? I I I have I spent the less than paintball gun that I keep in a case and I >> dumb ass. That's the first thing that came to my head. >> Okay. >> I really love. But um >> yeah. >> I mean it's not loaded obviously. So do you usually carry a gun with you when you drive around? >> Um >> yeah. >> Yeah. Not always, but yeah. >> Once in a while. >> Every here and now. >> Okay. Is that the car that you mainly drive when you have your the gun with you? >> Mhm. >> Okay. All right. Um, so last night when you got out, you said you worked last night, right? Yes. >> Okay. What time did you get out of McDonald's? >> I got out uh 5 >> 5 a.m. Like so this morning at 5:00 a.m. Okay. And then where did you go after that? >> I came home. >> You went home. Do you live? >> Yeah. >> Over I saw you you turned off a Hardy, but do you live up there? >> Yeah. I >> Is that Where does she live? Do you know the address? Um, not by heart, but she lives off of >> Do you know what the numbers are on it? >> Okay, that would make sense. You were just leaving when I saw you not use your turn signal then, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. >> Um, so you got out at 5 and then you went back there. >> So, what time do you think you got back? >> Um, you work there as well. >> I roughly left around 5 5:30. So, I I kind of drive like grandma's too. So Okay. >> It was probably like roughly 10 to 20 minute drive. >> 10 to 20 minute drive. So you think you got back there maybe around >> 5 456 maybe? Okay. All right. And you just drove straight there? >> Yep. Straight there with right inside. >> Okay. Did you see any Were there any other cars on the road or No. Was it basically just you the whole time or? >> Um there's a couple cars since it was early morning. >> Okay. >> There's a couple cars on the road. >> Okay. All right. What What way do you usually take? the way that >> McDonald's. >> So, you call up Hagadorn, go up to Lake Lancing, and then go over there. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. >> Last night, um, last night I drove down Abbott, >> past the police station. >> Last night you did? >> Yeah. >> To come home? >> Mhm. >> Okay. And so then you took Abbott and then turned right on Lake Lancing to come home. >> Yep. Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. And that was right around 5:45 or 550. Okay. Okay. Um, did you have any altercations with any other drivers on the road? No. >> This morning? Nobody else? >> A call in on my car or something? >> No. Did Did anybody like honk at you or anything? >> No. >> No. >> No. >> You You can be honest. It's just I was just wondering if there was any any kind of like a road rage or if somebody >> I There wasn't. >> No. What's that? >> It's [ __ ] free. >> Okay. So, >> and I think my hands lost circulation a little bit. >> If you want to lean forward a little bit, it might help. I'm not sure, but um >> we can check those handcuffs too for you. >> Yeah, we'll make we'll make sure to be helpful. >> I can get a finger in that. >> There must be another. >> Yeah, you can if you want to pivot your legs out a little bit like so you're not leaning up your hands against it, you can do that. If you want to twist towards me. >> Okay. So, >> um, >> so you you were on Abbott? >> Yeah. >> And then at that intersection, did anything happen like Abbott and like Lancing right by the speedway? >> No. >> Nothing. >> No, nothing I recall. >> Okay. >> Why was there a incident? >> Yep. >> So So I'll be honest with you, okay? I'll be I'll be honest while we're talking right now and you're in handcuffs and all that. Okay. Okay. So we're investigating um Okay. That happened Okay. It was between uh >> Oh, >> at somebody. >> So, what can you tell me what happened with that? >> I don't know anything about that. >> You don't know anything about that? That never happened to me. >> Okay. >> I mean, you can you can check my gun. It should be it should be pretty damn clean. >> Okay. When's the last time you shot it? >> Uh, see, me and my brother went to the range about two, three weeks ago. >> Okay. >> Why is the cleaning brush right there where it was? >> That's That's usually where I store it is in in the case, >> but then I couldn't close the case a couple weeks ago, so I said, "Fuck it." >> Where do you uh keep your ammunition at? >> Uh, I don't have any ammunition. I buy it at the range and then I use it there. >> Okay. So, you don't have any like hollow points or anything? >> Oh, no. >> So, just run through with me then. We carry a gun with us sometimes. >> Yeah, every now and again. >> Okay. Every now and again, I'm just assuming going on a limb there that it's for protection or to point at somebody if there was an issue. >> Not that. Not pointing at anybody. >> Well, then I mean then can you tell me why you carry it then? I carry it cuz me and my brother every now and again me and my brother we go out to the range. We don't plan it or anything. We just go out there. >> Okay. >> Why then see? I don't know. >> Why then tonight is it in your car? >> Cuz I I get out in the morning. >> Okay. >> My my brother's just getting home from California. So he was >> Is he home today or >> He's coming home. He >> So he's in California right now. >> He's on his way home. >> Okay. So he he >> takes a plane. >> What' you say? >> He he he flies in. >> Okay. He flies in. >> So it should probably be roughly two or three hour flight. >> Okay. What car were you in last night? >> This one. >> Okay. Do you ever drive your girlfriend's car? >> No. >> Ever? >> No. I'm I'm I'm a bit too big for her little Cadillac. >> Okay. Um so it's my understanding you get out your shift gets out at 3:30. >> 3:34. >> Okay. So then why >> times I stay after till 5. Okay. Were you working or just hanging out or >> working? >> Okay. So, I should have surveillance footage of you at McDonald's until 5:00. >> You should. >> Okay. And then where did you get gas at last night on the way home? >> Uh gas. I got gas was the front door. That speedway in front door. >> Okay. What time did you do that at? See, roughly five some I don't remember. >> Okay. So, >> it was between the 5 and 6:00 hour. >> Okay. All right. So, you get off at McDonald's and you're not doing anything between 5 and 6:00 other than getting gas and heading back to what's her name? >> So, it took you an hour to get home. roughly. Yeah. >> A little bit slow. >> Okay. >> So, we pulled slugs out of the car. >> Okay. The car this morning at the same time in the same area, right? >> What rounds? >> Oh, >> so they're not going to match your gun, are they? >> Uh, I don't think so. I mean >> I mean, you would know. So, right. >> I don't know what rounds that you're shooting. Yeah, they're shooting. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Those bullets aren't going to come back to your gun, are they? >> Like, what do you mean? >> Like, did you pull the trigger and shoot? >> Okay. >> No. >> So, then >> did you No. >> Well, I'm just trying to understand because I'm saying, are these bullets going to come back? >> They shouldn't. >> The normal response that I get is no. There's no [ __ ] way. >> There isn't no way cuz I never shot that damn thing. Okay. That's what I'm trying to understand. When you say you shouldn't, that makes me nervous. >> I I do shoot the same rounds, but they they don't go back to my gun. >> All right. And you have no ammunition in the car? >> No. >> Okay. >> And you have no ammunition at >> No. >> Okay. >> So, who else lives there with you guys? I'm I'm 23. >> 23. And Jessica, how old? >> Uh 40. She just >> That's a girlfriend, correct? Yes. >> Okay. Where What's What car does her son drive? >> Uh her she >> All right. Um, so what's going to happen, okay, is they're going to send the bullet that they found in in the car involved in the incident. >> Mhm. >> Okay. They're going to send that down to the the state police lab to be tested for DNA >> and all [snorts] that stuff. Okay. >> Do all that. doesn't come back to. >> Well, I'm not I'm not I'm just saying I'm at this point trying to rule you out because every all of your placement today and the fact that there's a gun in the car that's the same that >> was fired today. It's kind of putting you right where the incident was. >> So, that's why we're having this conversation, right? So, at this point, I'm trying to eliminate you from this incident, but it's kind of hard because you're literally right where everything happened. you match the description of the person who gave the >> So if there is something that happened, Alec, >> being honest right now with us is >> the absolute best for you. >> I'm trying. It's just >> okay. >> We cuz we started off on the wrong foot. >> Yeah, I understand >> about lying and stuff and then so like >> how do I know that you're not lying to me right now about shooting, right? >> Yeah, I I get that. >> You know, you said it's hard to be honest or you're trying to be honest. >> Were you were you there for this road rage incident? No, >> not at all. >> No, not at all. >> Okay. So, you would be good with us ruling you out as a suspect. That's what you want us to do, right? >> That'd be awesome. >> Take actions to do that. Make sure that your gun >> perpetrator and do all this [ __ ] to them. Like, I don't >> Make sure that your gun didn't fire the bullet. >> Oh, yeah. You can you can do all your testing on the gun if you want. >> Okay. Then we'll take that and then we'll make sure that your gun's not involved. Okay. >> Like the the grease oil residue on there should probably be roughly two weeks old. So, >> okay. >> Okay. >> So, you you want us to take your gun to send it down to the lab to make sure it doesn't match the >> feel the need to then. Yes. Yes. >> That would be great. >> That would be great for us as well. >> Okay. That would really help our investigation because we don't want to spend any more time on you. We want to rule you out so we can move on to the next person. Right. >> Right. >> So, if you're okay with it, we would love to do that so that we can eliminate you from our our case. >> Then what are my charges to >> Right now? You're not being Well, you're in handcuffs and detained because there's a gun in the car, right? And then >> marijuana. >> Yep. And then you mass a description of a shooting today. So that's why you're you're detained. You're not under arrest right now. That's why we read you Miranda. And as long as you're just honest with us, more than likely you're going to be taken out of handcuffs. You'll be on your way. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> But we just wanted to have a conversation with you because if you weren't the one who did it, we need to move on to the next person. But if you were the one that did it and you were honest with us right here on the side of the road, we could get the ball rolling. Nobody died. Nobody got hit. But we're trying. We can't have people shooting bullets into people's car, right? So, it's not as big of a deal as if someone was like shot and killed, right? So, if you if you were honest with us and you were like, "Yes, you know, I got to an incident. This girl made me mad, so I pulled my gun out and shot him out of the car." >> It wasn't me. >> Okay. >> Um, >> did you hear anything about who it might be? >> No. I was I was going to ask you like who they look like kind of thing. >> Well, they >> I know the the description of male obviously matches me, but I'm >> Yep. They they des they described a a white male kind of like a a rounderish face about 5'6 to 5'7. Um and that's what they saw. So um they got a pretty good look. We're just continuing our investigation. And since you guys >> long hair or anything? Did they describe any hint? >> They just said normal, I think. So could >> How many other firearms are in your house? >> My house I just I I own that at all. Espironza. There should be none. >> There's none. >> None at all. >> Okay. There's none registered to that address or anything. >> Okay. What kind of car does her older son drive? >> She just got it fixed. I think it's a um it almost looks like a Equinox, but I'm not quite sure. >> You know what color it is? >> It might be a traverse. It's like a dark gray, but >> Okay. All right. Um does he mess around with guns at all? >> Oh, no. No. >> Okay. >> Not at all. All right. Well, I'll tell you what we're going to do real quick. Okay. I'm going to just run that gun. I believe that it's yours, but I have to run it. Make sure it's not stolen or anything crazy. >> My vehicle I don't have registration. Like >> I can look it up. Did you register it? >> Um, >> is it registered? >> I got it from [ __ ] What is that one? Not DICE. It's over um RPM. There you go. >> No, the the card. >> Oh, no. No. I'm talking about I'm going to run the gun. >> Is that Is that gun registered to you? Yes. Okay. I'm just going to make sure that's registered to you and then more than likely you'll be out of handcuffs and we'll get you on your way. Sound good? >> Sound like a plan? >> Yeah. >> All right. Just bear with us just a couple more minutes. Okay. >> Where did you buy that guy? Range on the left side. >> Oh yeah. When did you get it? >> Um it feels like a year. I think it's been about eight months. >> Okay. Like around New Year time or something. A little after that. Yeah, a little after that. >> Can I get you over on >> quick, man? I love it. Can we do one more thing to to help eliminate you? Do you mind? Can I just check your car to make sure there's not like a a casing or something like that? Go ahead. >> Just to help eliminate you. I can do that real quick. Like I told this this obvious there there might be a bullet in there from from when I was trying to transport it. >> Okay. >> But other than that, there shouldn't be any bullets. >> But you're good if I check real quick. Uh make sure >> casing was five. Well, I found a casing, but I don't know if it's in there. >> Okay. All right. I'll go check it real quick. Okay. >> Okay. Sounds good. little flashing. You're good. I looked it up. You're all good, man. Why don't you hop out? Okay. I'm going to give you back your cleaning kit cuz we don't really want that. Okay. >> Okay. All right. Go turn around. We'll get these handcuffs off you. Okay. >> Yeah. Handcuff might not transfer it. >> What' you say, buddy? >> Oh, yeah. >> For the same thing. It's >> all right. >> Turn signal. >> You went back to this whole thing. his desk, >> but I ain't checking my I know I didn't use my >> All right. >> So, my name is Sergeant Terrell. Here's my business card. Um, I work with the team of Lancing and MSU police officers. Okay, that's why >> this is also what I need to explain to you has to take over your car. >> Okay. >> She may decide to call a friend to help her since you don't have power steering. But you've been smoking marijuana and you cannot drive. All right. If you drive, you get pulled over. You'll go to jail. It's the same thing as drunk driving. Okay. After the night you have so far, I don't think that we want to do that. Correct. >> I I think >> Okay. So, we'll have you get in the passenger seat and we'll have Miss take over and drive. Does that make sense? >> Okay. If can you do you have a good understanding of what happened here today? >> Um, yeah. >> Okay. Have we treated you unfairly or anything like that? >> No, you guys did everything you guys did. >> We've been kind and took care of you. Checked your handcuffs when we needed to and do done all that. >> Okay. >> Did you guys follow protocol? >> Yep. Okay. I just wanted to make sure that you're happy with our customer service. We care about you and obviously it's our job. >> Nerveing, but >> sure. Absolutely. >> What I need you to understand, >> it's our job to >> clear people's name just as much as it is to find people. Okay. >> There's a lot of circumstances that fit, but having the gun and being able to send it to the crime lab to compare to the bullets will be extremely helpful. >> Oh, yeah. >> Does that make sense? At any time you can email that number or call and say, "Hey, I don't want to I want my gun back. I don't give consent anymore." Okay. >> I mean, roughly How long do you guys think it'll take? >> I think it'll take a couple weeks. >> Yep. A case like this, it should be at most couple weeks cuz it's a pretty >> close to a month roughly. >> Y that's fine. >> So, it shouldn't be too long. >> As long as it's not like month on end. >> No, it shouldn't be. >> So, the best way would be to email me. If you don't hear me hear from me in a day or so, you can call the East Lancing or the Michigan State University Police Department and ask to talk to me and they will get that they will relay that message to me one way or another. Okay. >> Do you understand that? >> Yes. >> Okay. Do you have any other questions before we all leave here? >> No. >> Okay. All right. >> Thank you for >> being a good sport and Yeah. We just want to We're here to keep people safe from gun violence. You understand that, right? That's what you want for other people. >> Yes. to be safe from gun violence. >> Safe and productive. >> Yep. Okay, sounds good, buddy. Well, thank you uh for listening. We'll walk you >> uh back up to your car and get you going. Okay. >> A point or time or anything where you think you remember something or you can hear somebody that lives in the area >> about the incident, please reach out to us. Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. All right. >> Did they describe any vehicle or anything? >> It was dark. So they said it was like a sedan kind of like that maybe red but it was dark so we're not really >> okay >> really 100% sure. We're waiting on some camera footage to come back in the area. >> Windows or anything like that? >> They weren't specific enough. I'm not sure. So all right. So if you hear gunshots or something to do if somebody's out here doing this, make sure to call >> over [ __ ] where is it? What castle area? >> Okay. >> It's not a lot like >> Yeah. Okay. >> Well, hey, warm up, get in your car and again let us know if you have any questions. Okay. That's all my turn.
