A woman calls 911 after her ex-friend allegedly surprises her at her home while she's in the middle of a client's hair appointment. Her ex-friend then runs and proceeds to beat her up in front of her client. Police show up to make an arrest, but realize things won't be so easy. >> What you pulled the tracks out? Did you You already glued it in? It was already glued? It's not sewed? That's what she said. That ain't sewed. What you talking about? What you talking about? When I was young, I dated black women. >> Okay. >> Not when you was young. What I said when I was young. White girls. What you What's that? What? Ain't allowed? >> I guess you don't want these type of problems. >> Right. >> That's why >> No, I don't need that drama. No, I don't want that smoke. I don't want no smoke, man. I don't want no drama, man. Damn, man. Trying to live a peaceful life, man. I don't want no problems. She pulled all this hair out of your hair? >> Hell no. >> Oh, okay. >> I do hair. It's >> I know. And my client's right here. >> Okay. >> She's literally knees to chest running to me before I could even We end up over here. That's how >> What is she saying to you when all of this is going on? >> You called police? You called police? You called police? >> You should have a no contact order. She's already got arrested for battering you? When? >> Okay, so the first time she got arrested, she came back after she got out of She got bonded out. And that's why she had a warrant for her arrest and the one that was here earlier. >> Okay, so there's more I was going to say there's more to it for the arrest. I got you, honey. I got you on that. If we do have charges here for battery, we cannot arrest her in North Port. However, we can arrest her in Charlotte. So, there's a couple of different ways we can do it. We can do what you call as an open PCA, which is an open probable cause. She comes into our county. I don't care if she goes to Wawa or she goes to South Punta Gorda. She goes to jail. All right. >> So, police show up to make an arrest, but things won't be so easy. >> Oh. >> How you doing? >> Okay. How are you doing? >> Good. I need to talk to miss Jolene, who just walked inside. Jolene? >> Sure. >> Sure? I need to What's your first name? >> Do I have to tell you my first name? >> I'm just asking you a question. >> Okay. Well, I don't want to tell you my first name, so >> I need to talk to you about what's going on over there in Port Charlotte, at your friend's house. >> Okay. >> You willing to go back with me over there so we can figure it out cuz I'm getting her side of the story and not yours. >> Okay, there is no sides to the whole story, y'all. I don't know what you're talking about. >> No? >> No. I have no clue. >> Okay. You don't want to go back over there and figure this out? >> do not. >> All right. Just stand by right there real quick. >> All right, we will do. >> After making a call and realizing they don't have enough evidence, playing it safe, they realize that there's nothing more they can do at this time. >> None of your guys' business. >> Um I'm good here. Thanks for Thanks for your help. Uh we're going to head out, all right? >> All right. >> Cuz she doesn't want to be cooperative. >> I'm not saying it. >> You have a better one. >> Getting nowhere, officers would meet back up with the woman, but 3 months later, and this time things would go a little different for her. >> How you doing? You have any ID on you? >> Yes. >> Can I see it? Make sure I'm talking to the right person. >> Yeah, you are. Jolene Jolene Am I going to jail? >> Let me see your ID first. We're going to talk to you about this, right? >> Yeah, but I don't want to go to jail. >> Okay. Say your first name again for me? >> Jolene. >> What do you go by? >> Jolene. >> Jolene? All right, Jolene. >> Jolene. >> Jolene, I'm sorry, sweetie. All right. I'm charging you with battery, apparently there's there was an altercation back in October? >> Mhm. >> All right. >> They kicked me out of the house. >> Yeah. They were saying you had a fight. >> Okay. >> Someone kicked me out of the house. >> Mhm. >> And said I got into a fight. >> Right. >> I don't know they were talking about. >> Okay. >> So, yeah. >> Right. So, what happened? >> Nothing happened. I was at home. >> You were at home? >> Yep. >> Okay. So, how would you how would you be implicated? >> I don't know. The girl probably thought I came to her house. I don't know. Yeah. Nothing happened. I was at home. >> Do you know this girl? >> I do know her. I had a warrant for my arrest. >> You went to jail? >> Yep. >> Because of her? >> Yes, sir. >> How when did that happen? >> Back in like 2022. >> What happened with that? >> I don't know. >> Did your charge get stick or the charge get dropped? >> Yeah, the charge got dropped. The only one that got dropped. >> Which one was that? >> The one that I had a warrant for was dropped. And I'm on probation for the other one. >> You're on probation? >> Yep. And I went to jail. Do you know if there's a warrant out for my arrest? >> No, there's not a warrant. Can you run that female? No, there's not a warrant out for your arrest. >> Right. >> So, I'm trying to figure out why why why they would do all this and say that you're involved. >> I don't know, sir. I was home chilling with my family. And some two cops came to my house. >> Right. And I guess at that time you didn't want to talk to them? >> No, I did not want to talk to them. Why do they copy her? What's the point of this? >> Oh, cuz we always run in twos, especially at night. >> Yeah, I get that. Makes sense. I don't have any weapons on me. I just came to get my bag. >> All right. We just want to step out of the car for me and make sure real quick. >> If you have any weapons >> Just come Yeah, just come out of the car. >> I don't have a warrant, do I? >> You don't have a warrant. I just I'm not going to lie to you about a warrant. >> Okay. >> If you had a warrant Listen, if if you had a warrant, North Port would have taken you. >> Okay, but >> Okay, so come out and step out of the car for me. Right? So, if North Port would have had a warrant, they would have they would have taken you to jail, right? >> Yep. >> Okay. But, uh >> But, what? >> What? No. No. But, we have open probable cause. So, it's almost the best thing next to a warrant. So, we're going to go ahead and take you into custody. >> What? >> Yeah, yeah. >> Stop. >> For the charge >> You got faith? YOU GOT FAITH? >> ON THE GROUND. >> NOW YOU GETTING ARRESTED. >> NOW YOU getting arrested. Stop fighting. Stop fighting. >> I'm not fighting. What do you mean probable cause? >> What do you mean by probable cause? Probable cause that you leave Don't step on my glasses. Right because you're right behind me. Probable cause is for the for the deputy that investigated the case and found probable cause. They submitted for a warrant, but the warrant hasn't been approved, but we have probable cause. >> What probable cause? >> Call me another 56 for the Wawa. Stop pulling away. Stop pulling away. >> What probable cause? What are you guys talking about? >> We have open probable cause. >> For what? I was at my home and two police officers came to my house. >> Yeah, thank you. Stop pulling away. Stop pulling away. Just do not pull away from me. >> What are you doing? Chill. >> I'm not pulling away from you. >> Have Yes, you Stop pulling away from me. >> Why the [ __ ] Are YOU COMING >> STOP. STOP. >> WHAT THE [ __ ] IS WRONG WITH MY CAR, MAN? >> STOP.
