A federal agent, a federal agent with HSO. >> Here's what I saw. >> Get a drink. >> This woman had this weapon? >> This guy is a real man. >> That's what I saw. >> Okay, thank you. Okay. Okay, got you. What's going on, guys? >> Yeah, I'm I'm a LET ME TALK. LET ME I'M NOT IN HERE TO GET MY MY diapers and my my my gas. She tried to run me over. And we came back to see if we could get the money back. >> You guys were here earlier, right? >> Yes. We were here earlier to come to get our money back. >> And if I come off like this, >> Mhm. >> is it because of what they come at me with? >> Mhm. >> Then you're going to get the other half. We came in here earlier. He had money in his car. >> Just come out here, okay? >> Can I get the money out of the car, please? >> He came over here earlier. He had money in his car, and they are trying to say that they didn't. >> Right. Right. >> He didn't We know. We have his bank. He gave money and he told the lady in the front, "I would like to get a lighter and put the rest on gas." She overcharged him $6 for the lighter. The lighters are only $1.70. And I came in here and I showed her the real nice tool. I said, "Okay, you guys charged him for a lighter and then he wanted the rest in gas." She says, "There is no chance transactions or funds on his card." I'm like, "Okay, well then how did he get the lighter? If there's no funds on his card, how did he get the lighter?" She came off disrespectful. So, I'm going to be honest, I would have went ballistic up in here. I checked his card to see if they even took his money. They took his money. They overcharged him $6. And on his bank statement, it showed that they never did the transaction the right way. >> What were you going to do with that stuff? >> over here and I was going to open the door just to come in here and say, "You know what? We would like the money back." >> What's going on, man? >> I'll tell you what I saw. >> All right. >> I go in here to buy a drink for a meeting with the U.S. Attorney's office. And I come out and I see this man and this woman and she's got some black weapon in her hand. Looked like a stick or baton or something. And they walk in there and they start screaming. And these people are on the phone and asking for police. >> So I grab my cuffs, open the door. She's got her She's got like a stick up like she's going to hit somebody. He's there yelling at them. >> I just draw down and say, "Please drop the weapon." And she says, >> Just stop, but I can't do anything with everybody yelling. >> Drop the stick. She got down. She was being very combative, wouldn't comply. I said, "Listen, I don't know what's going on, but you can't have weapons in a threatening posture. People are just trying to shop. It's no go." >> So were they threatening the clerk or were they threatening >> Like I said, man, it was real weird. When I when I got in there to buy the drink, they were watching them out the window and they were like, "Hey, they just came in here and created a ruckus." Then as I'm leaving, I see him and her leave that vehicle, walk all the way here and she's like got some, you know, just a little bitty club or something. >> And here again, >> He didn't do nothing. I'm the one that did it. >> What did you do? >> I didn't do nothing. I came in here like I said, I was going to open the door to talk to him very nicely and tell him if we could get the money back that they overcharged him for and leave, but they wanted to start their little And then his little rude ass over there opens the door and puts a [ __ ] gun at me. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, you you have Hold on. You have every right to [ __ ] put your gun out, but the only time you pull a gun out is if that person is really charging at you with the weapon. Until a person comes at you with a weapon and goes after you with a knife, a stick or any kind of weapon you have, you have every right to shoot. >> What were you going to do with that stick? >> I didn't do anything. I didn't even hurt nobody. >> What were you going to do with the stick? >> I wasn't going to do anything. I was going to scare him, to be honest. That's what I was going to do, but I wasn't going to hit him. >> Where did you get that from? Huh? Where did you >> Don't worry about it. >> Don't worry about it? >> No. When you're going to come out and you put your gun at me, you don't do that until I actually charge with my weapon and you come with your gun. And I'm going to be on side being in and out of this system all my [ __ ] life. I just got out 2 years ago and I've been doing a hell of a lot good. But now it's to the point when people are going to come out disrespectful, you're going to get a whole 'nother hand. Like he had no right to put his gun at me. Until I went after him with a weapon and yeah, you have every right. The minute he put his gun, he asked me to put my weapon down and get down and that's what I did. >> Federal agency, you know, okay? Um So that was your that was your stick right there? >> my stick and he asked me to put it down and >> You didn't have it? >> I had it. >> She had it. My gun >> All right now, I'm going to detain you, okay? Because we're going to get into more into the investigation, but I'm going to detain you for now. Put your hands behind your back. >> going to detain me. >> Yes, I am. Hey. >> I have my rights. >> You're not under arrest. You're going to be >> Oh, well, you're detaining me. >> You're going to be detained. Just relax until we figure out what's GOING TO HAPPEN. RELAX, IT'LL BE FINE. GO OVER THERE. GO OVER THERE. GO OVER THERE. GO OVER THERE. RELAX. RELAX. HEY. LET ME GET THE WEAPON. RELAX. BACK OFF NOW. BACK OFF. BACK UP. BACK UP. STAND OVER HERE RIGHT NOW. STAND OVER HERE. Stay right there. Sit down. SIT DOWN. IT IS ON. IT IS ON. RELAX. RELAX. RELAX. RELAX. >> OFF. Get the [ __ ] off. >> Relax. >> Get the [ __ ] off. You guys have no right to detain my ass. >> Look at this guy. >> You know why? Because I'm not doing nothing wrong. >> You're going to sit in here. >> Sit in here. Okay? >> No. >> Make this easy. >> No. You guys made it [ __ ] hard. >> Make it easy. Relax. >> it hard. You guys made it hard. >> You want me to detain him? >> Huh? >> You want me to detain him? >> Uh, let's see. If he leaves, let him leave. >> You guys have no right to detain me. That's why I go crazy. Until I go after somebody with a weapon, then you guys have every right to detain I know my rights. >> Okay. >> You officers are living [ __ ] hell. You officers are living [ __ ] hell. >> Back up. Leave already. >> No, I'm not going to leave until >> No, she's going to jail. >> No, I'm not leaving until >> Back up. >> No, I'm not leaving. >> Okay, you need to back up, man. >> I'M BACK. I'M BACK. I'M BACK. >> GET OUT OF HERE. Leave the property. Leave the property. Leave the property. LEAVE THE PROPERTY. NO. NO, you can't talk to her, man. >> Why not? Why not? >> BECAUSE WE SAID. GET THE [ __ ] OUT OF HERE. GET THE [ __ ] OUT OF HERE. >> WHERE ARE YOU GOING, HON? Where are they taking you? >> Leave the property. Go. >> I'm not leaving until >> Get out of here. >> Where are they taking you, hon? Don't leave. You guys have no right to do this [ __ ] You guys have no right. >> You're not going to cooperate. >> No, I'm not because You guys are in the [ __ ] wrong. You guys are You guys are in the wrong is what it is. >> New Mexico state laws before federal agents slapped handcuffs on her. Such a flimsy excuse immediately crumbled before New Mexico's strict laws. Even if you don't physically strike someone, you can still be charged with assault. The law is very clear on this. Any overt threat or menace that creates fear in another person of being attacked is itself a crime. The ordinary piece of wood in the woman's hand instantly transformed into a deadly weapon in the eyes of the law the moment she raised it to threaten someone. Therefore, this ridiculous act of revenge was not only morally unacceptable, but it also earned her a direct ticket to court. In the United States, legal boundaries are extremely strict. Just threatening someone with a weapon is enough to warrant an assault charge, and you don't have to wait until you actually strike someone to be handcuffed. It's a costly lesson about cause and effect to learn that a six-dollar tantrum can lead to a lifetime criminal record. What do you think about this lightning-fast takedown by the federal agent? Was it justified, or was it an overreaction? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Thanks for watching.
