Officers are called to Walmart after three individuals are caught skip scanning items at the selfch checkckout. Loss prevention easily catches them on camera, confronts them, and two of the three cooperate outside, but one ignores and walks off to a nearby business and is hiding inside. >> Hey, hun. >> Hi. >> Do you mind coming with us, please? >> Um, yeah. Yeah. >> Do you have anything in your uh book that I should be worried about? >> No. >> Do you mind if I check? >> No. Yes, I do. >> Okay, then just follow us. Okay, hun. >> This is >> Okay, just follow us. Okay. >> Whiskey 683. >> You could have whiskey 654. Correction 754. That were 101 with the other party. Let's go over here. Come on. >> I don't want to be around. >> Let's go. Come on. Go. I want to go around that guy. >> Come on. Let's go. >> Are you bringing me around? >> Yes, we are. So, let's go. >> All right. >> We're conducting investigation and you're acting funny. Okay. >> That guy was here, right? Did you see what that guy did to you? >> Uh, we're like I said, we're still conducting our investigation. So, let us figure everything out. Okay. I just got here. >> He was messed up. >> Okay. >> Like really messed up. And then judging you over my tattoos. Like, no. >> Okay. >> I don't even want to hear your name. Let Let me have your first name, honey. >> I I don't want to sound. >> What's your first name, hun? >> You can give her your first name or you can get us in. >> I'm not your name. >> Yes, my name is >> You can start right here. Amy, what? >> I mean, Elizabeth, what? >> Which? >> F O2. >> T E. >> F O T E. >> Yes. >> Amy. Yes. What's your date of birth? What's your date of birth? What's your date of birth? >> Miss Amy, what's your date of birth? >> Do you have a warrant? >> No. >> Cuz you're acting like you you don't want to give us your information cuz you probably either have something on you or you have a warrant. >> You can look through my thing. >> Are you giving me permission? >> No, actually. No. >> Okay. So, >> guys cannot come back on this property. >> You're no longer welcome, authorized, invited on this premise. If you return to Walmart, you will go to jail. >> But let me ask is it if it's her? >> Nope. It's because they have you are along with a individual shoplifting. They have the right to trespass. So even if you were just shopping here and they had absolutely no >> indefinitely for the rest of your lives $3 item. >> I hear you. I mean >> let me explain this. So a business on my >> you going to let me talk? >> A business has the right to trespass you no matter what. No matter if you've committed a crime or not they can trespass you. >> Amy am I being >> Yes, you are being detained and you have to identify yourself because we're conducting investigation. >> Supervisor because >> you do not need a supervisor right now. >> A supervisor. >> Amy, >> I would like a supervisor. You don't know what that man did to me >> for what exactly? >> Look at the cameras. What did he do? Explain to me. >> For us to get your side of the story, we need to conduct our investigation. So, part of that is getting your name. >> Okay. Well, I have done nothing wrong. I'm on camera. You guys can see that for yourselves. >> And we will. We're not under arrest. You're being >> I know I'm not under arrest. I didn't do anything. And I want the supervisor and I won't say nothing until my attorney is here. >> My father the same thing. >> Well, okay. Well, when my when my attorney and the supervisor gets here and you guys look at those cameras and see what that man did to me, >> that is their right as a business. You can go to the one in uh Cypress way up there, but you cannot come to this one. If you are seen on this property, I promise you they will prosecute you will go to jail. Okay? >> It's not for the $3. >> It's not for that. Okay? So, the problem is that you guys were with the person that did the crime. All right? So, just because you guys were, you guys are going to be trespassing. You guys understand that there's another Walmart you can go to. All right? There's there's no need to make this any more complicated than what it needs to be. All right? >> All right. You guys are good to go. when my attorney and the supervisor gets here and you guys look at those cameras and see what that man did to me. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, we'll review that. >> You need to stay right here. >> Um I was telling my >> Okay. You can stay over here. >> Sarah, come here. >> Did she take something? >> She I think stole $3. >> Yeah. So, she they want to prosecute. You have to leave. You cannot go up to her. You need to leave your >> Amy, you have to identify yourself cuz we're still connected. Can you let me? >> I want the supervisor here >> because >> you need to leave. >> You got to go. >> Wait. No. They let this man do this to me and it's not fair and I'm not going to put it. I know my rights. I'm not I'm not to you guys. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> What? No. >> Don't resist. >> Sarah, come here. Get my stuff. >> Here. >> Can I grab your phone so it doesn't get dropped? >> I'm trying to help you. >> Yeah, I'm just >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> No, you need to leave. That's how you go. You're going to jail. Leave the property. >> You're resisting and I'm telling you. >> How am I resisting? >> Let go. Let go. >> I'm going to call you. >> Let go. >> All I have is >> Can you give her my cell, please? >> Sarah, can I have an ID? >> He had a knife and is trying to signal somewhere. >> 13. >> Okay, we're good. >> Yeah, we're good. >> Yes, you can get it. She'll give it to you. >> What's up? Can you give my cousin? Can you give her my stuff, please? >> What do you want to give her? >> Everything. Not right now. >> No, she has There's I don't want my money stolen. >> Okay, your money's not going to be stolen, but we're not going to give someone your money. >> No, I want my family to have my belongings. >> Okay, we'll go through. We'll figure it out. >> Wait, don't leave. Record it. >> If you don't leave, you are going to jail. Get in your car and drive away. >> You're under arrest right now. >> For what? >> For stealing. I didn't steal anything. >> We're going to talk about it. Okay. So, when you say I don't steal, >> we're going to LP and we're going to have to get >> Can you tell my family at this time? >> Have a seat. >> What did you say I did? >> Have a seat, ma'am. >> So, this is a intervention. So, none of that stuff on her hand is scanned. >> That's not me. >> Aware of it. She knows and bags it. Well, I told her to go just pay for it and that's it. >> That's not me. >> That's not you right there with the black. >> So, then this is the time. Go ahead and read this. >> I scan everything. >> All right. So, what I'm going to do, all right, I'm going to read you your rights. Okay. >> You have the right to remain silent. >> Do you understand each of these rights? >> Mhm. >> So, I'm going to explain something. Okay. >> Did you see that? >> Can I speak? >> Yes, ma'am. >> We are conducting investigation for a shoplifting. Okay. I have not watched video. I have not spoken to him. We have not gotten any information other than your sus. Can I speak? >> Yeah. I'm sorry. >> Do not interrupt me. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> You are a suspect in a crime. Therefore, one, you are required to identify yourself. One, that's one. So, by not identifying yourself, that is resisting. Okay. You did not. After being told multiple times, >> you didn't steal anything or saw that. >> You let her speak and then you can speak. >> I I'm not going to play games. Okay. Officer Montas is a primary officer. He's going to conduct an investigation. And until we figure out what's going on here, you're not coming out of handcuffs. And I don't care. You keep saying they're tight. I've already checked them. They're properly fitted. I'm telling you, if you try to slip out of the handcuffs, I'll I will charge you with attempting escape. Okay. >> Okay. Cool. So, let's let's stop the talking for a minute while we gather at all of our investigation and then we'll talk to you when we're ready to speak to you. Okay. >> From the she scans that. She doesn't scan the other item, puts it in there. There's items in her hand. Goes ahead and puts everything that's in her hand in the shirt in the bag. That item is not scanned and she puts both of them in the bag. >> Okay. >> That's the second time. I stopped them and all I told her when I found out how much it was, all I said was just go pay for it. >> I gave him the option. I don't have to do that. >> You >> I don't have to do that. >> Okay. >> And then she got aggressive. >> Oh. So, >> but like what what she said that I probably got my in high school and I was probably going to get my right now. >> She was at register over here. Her friends at register over here. >> They were at the same register. >> They were together. Okay. So, she's scanning the items on her phone or with the scanner. >> She's scanning it on the >> with the scanner. Okay. So, she's scanning items. She The one that we can confirm that she placed into the bag is the $3 perfume, the pink bottle. Correct. Okay. The other items she was aware of not being scanned, but the one she physically placed in the bag was the pink one. >> And then this is all the stuff that they gave up after, you know, I caught them under. So this is $70 worth that they decided that was not me that she decided to grab cuz you can see her right here and say we don't want that anymore >> in her hands. >> Okay. >> So at what point did they pass points and out of the door? >> I can even show you. >> I'm not I am not talking to you. I genuinely am not. And I'm sorry but I've repeated myself and I can't do my job when you're talking in the middle of it. >> I'm sorry but >> if you are innocent I'd like to prove that. If you're not then that's another thing. This guy is >> No, I don't care who he is. I need you to stop talking for a minute. >> All of them passing all points of sales before I make contact with any of them. And then once they all pass is when I make contact. >> Is there audio on there so they can hear? >> No need. We We physically see you passing out points and sales. So we're watching that right now. >> Okay. So, can you do me a favor? Can you You saw the part where she scanned >> Mhm. >> She has the blue bottle of spray and the pink one. She scans the blue one, takes the pink one, puts it in a bag. >> Okay. who uh had him with them when they walked out. Do you know? >> Um the one in the dress. >> The dressing. The one that we dress is mine. >> Okay. >> Which she also attempted under. But since they're together, it's technically she should be in here too. But >> I don't care about her cuz she's the one that threatened me. >> This this would have went smooth, right? If you you would have only been trespassed from here, right? If you would have just complied, right? Now you threatened him. So everything everything changes. The whole dynamic change. You see the whole how the whole dynamic changes when we're not when you're not being cooperative. >> That's why we're here right now. >> You know why? Because he started harassing me about my face. Because my face he started talking. >> So you have a do you have ID in here? >> Um no I have money like that came out and like straight up start because I have a tattoo on my face. He started saying something to me. I said why are you so angry? They went to go pay him the money because we didn't even know that. And he's just so angry about me because I was like, "Do you want to talk about women's face?" >> All right. So, what's your first name? You definitely was seen on video stealing also. So, you're you are >> That was >> I >> I didn't get your first name. That would be uh >> That wasn't me. >> I didn't get your first name. Amy. >> No, that's >> Are you going to give me your first name or no? It's going to be difficult. >> You're going to be booked under John Doe. You're going to get additional charge for resisting. You've already got two. >> Do you see do anything? >> Please provide your identification to this officer. But he said I have the right to remain silent. >> Okay, cool. >> Okay. >> Right. So, >> we'll take her under John Doe and then we'll just >> go ahead and get up. >> I want to press charges on him. >> That's arrest. >> That's discrimination. >> Okie do. >> He wants to come at me because I had a tattoo on my face. And he was like, "Oh, nice ghetto tattoo. You you Oh, talking about how ghetto I am. I'm not ghetto, so I should be treated like that." When there clearly there's some other girl doing that [ __ ] that he went after me cuz I had a tattoo on my face. I just watched you >> take this ID. >> Did you >> and not scan it and put it in the bag? >> Yes. >> So, you shoplift it? >> No, I didn't. >> Okay. >> I scanned both of them. I don't know if that that if you look, I put both of them over the thing. Like, I I don't That's not even my stuff. I don't wear that. I would not do that. I have four children. >> Okay. >> I have a very important job. Like, this is this is him. He did that because he's talking about my tattoos. I said, "You want to talk about women?" And I said, "Oh, you must get beat up a lot in high school." >> Do you guys think that I'm like really all wrong and that man's right? Like, do you think that I take a phone number out of my my phone? >> You're asking for neighbors right now and you have been not cooperative this entire time. >> Cooperated with you. Not that man didn't. >> I apologize if that's the case, but >> I don't understand how you guys get away with it. >> That's not our job. If someone is is unfortunately not the kindest to you, then that's a problem for you to call their corporate. But as far as somebody making you >> but he came in a he came at me. >> He did not come at you. We watched the footage. He did not advance on you as if to strike you. Do you have anything on you that will be introduced as contraband in the jail? Okay. Do you have a bra on? >> Yes. >> Okay. I'm going to sweep under your bra. Is there anything inside your bra? Money? Lighters? Phones? >> I don't know. >> Do you typically store items in your bra? >> Sometimes I have a lighter in there, but I don't know. >> Okay. Well, I'm shaking it out for that purpose. So you don't accidentally light yourself on fire in my car. God forbid. >> So I have to go to definitely go to jail even if the supervisor comes over and sees this. >> 100%. You're 100%. >> And what am I being charged with? Like I be getting all these charges. >> Can I have a phone number on my phone? >> Not right now. You have not cooperated this entire time. So no. >> I have cooperated the entire time. >> Can I put my hair up? >> No. >> You're asking for favors and you have not been cooperating with us. So we're not doing any favors for you. I didn't cooperate with you guys. >> Nope. >> You still haven't provided your name or date of birth. >> I told the guy my first name, my middle name, and my last name. >> What's your date of birth? Cuz that's not coming back. >> Exactly. >> I'll tell the supervisor. >> You'll tell the unit with a fingerprint scanner. >> She was 1012 with I think her sister and her brother-in-law. Okay. >> Um they were scanning items. She took item, didn't scan it, put it in her sister's bag. They all walked out together. >> Yeah. So, they didn't want to press charges on sister and brother-in-law because they were cooperative. She took a 108. >> Miss Amy. >> Yes. >> All right. What's going on? I'm with Sergeant. >> Okay. Um, I came over here with my uncle and my cousin. I'll talk to you. >> Drugs.com. No identifier. >> Put that Put that back in there. >> She's a huge bag of 30. huge like I don't know I think >> about what >> so you've already been provided your rights correct okay which you understood we talked about inside right you understood them at the time you've still been talking so >> what's that bag of white powder before my officer gets exposed to fentanyl >> what powder I don't even know what you're talking about >> there's a baggie >> you should I there should be no baggie in my purse the only thing that I ever do is smoke pot there's nothing in my purse I can There is a a large bag of a powdered substance inside of your purse. >> Can you show me? >> You can lift it. Just try. >> Lift up the bag. Show her. >> Coven. >> Can you come closer to me? >> I don't know what that's got drugs. >> Do you have any infants? >> Do you have any baby that has formula or something like that? >> No, I don't. That's not drugs. There's no way that What is that? Go look at it. It's right on. >> I Okay. Well, we'll do our messes. What is that? >> Oh, that's my ashes. That's my That's my baby's ashes. That's Those are cremation ashes. Please don't mess that up. >> That's not ashes. >> Please don't mess it up. >> Miss Amy, uh, why do you have Narcan? >> Narcan? >> I've always keep that on me. >> Why? >> Because I've had about like three friends die that are very close to me from high school. You don't know. I've made sure I try to give that to >> just for precautionary I I Okay. When I and officer Monttos made contact with you and he attempted to put you in handcuffs and you pulled away from him multiple Hold on. >> You pulled away from him, you tensed your arms and you made it difficult for him to secure you. That is resistance. >> You know what I was trying to give my sister >> two when I asked your name when I asked for your name and you told I guess initially at CeCe's at Cece's you told someone your name was Amy Foot. That's false identifying yourself. Amy Foot. >> That's what you told the officers at Cece's. >> I thought she just said I didn't tell nobody my name. >> You said Amy Foot is what there is what officer outlaw said. Then when I asked you to provide your name, date of birth to me three times and officer Monttos twice. You said no, I'm not. I don't have to. And you said I want supervisor. That's what you're being charged with. And depending on what that test >> I didn't try to, but you guys saw what I was doing. I would never try to take from him. I was trying to give my family my purse that was in my hand. Sounds good. >> All right, put your feet on. And that's what I told you guys. >> He wasn't going to prosecute, but then he's like, "Yes, I want to prosecute." When they went to go get her, he's like, "It's $3, but I want to press charges." So, >> he said multiple times, but I know they're not supposed to. >> I'll talk to them because under 20, we had agreed up, >> right? Which is why he let the other people go, >> right? >> But she took a 108, which is why he's like, "No, she's leaving. She's not cooperative." And she was calling him like slurs. >> Yeah, I guess she said they were going back and forth. >> Yeah. Um, >> that's my baby. >> Sit down. >> That's my baby. >> Okay, we still got it tested. Don't mess it up. I didn't give a no fake name. >> Just so you know, you have three warrants so far. So far for what? >> For false IDing and failure to appear. >> Failure to appear for what? >> This is heroin and fentanyl. >> You're what? You're telling me I have heroin and fentanyl? You're going to tell me my baby's heroin and fentanyl? No. Wait a minute. Are you guys saying that my babysites are heroin and fentanyl? >> That's more like the >> There's no way in hell. >> That's what I'm saying. I'm going to do it again. That's my baby. >> Ma'am, I hope you're saying that it's not. Go ahead and jot down whatever she says for >> you guys. Are you guys trying to charge my baby my my baby's asses with heroin and fentanyl? >> Slide switch with me. >> Is somebody trying to set me up? Like, what is going on? >> Yes, ma'am. Go ahead. >> You think it's mixed? You guys, that is >> the I don't feel confident with the fentanyl kit. >> Can you double check if that is my baby? >> But that's Don't say that's my baby. >> There's no way there is any kind of drug in my baby. >> I hope not. >> Could you test it? Test it. You >> cocaine. >> Cocaine is in my You're saying there's cocaine in my baby's address? Can you double check it because I don't >> I don't have time to do your cocaine. Yo, that's my >> That's okay. It's going to go to FDLE for testing anyways. >> Are you guys setting me up? Is this like I didn't even do anything. You're charging me with 14 g of cocaine as my daughter. What? >> Let's do it at the PD. >> Yeah. >> Thank you. >> You're going straight in this cell, though. >> Where? >> You're going right in here. There's a bathroom on that side of the wall. >> And what are you going to do with those ashes? Can you tell me? I won't say Put your hand regardless. So, just put your hand on the wall. Listen to Officer Montas. >> I am. >> But I'm not What regardless? I know I'm not getting them. I'm just asking them what you're doing with them. >> Submitting them for evidence. Going to Florida Department of Law Enforcement at their headquarters. >> Go ahead. Go ahead. >> Okay. And then they get all of it back. >> I have no idea what happens from there. >> That's my baby. >> Okay. >> As a result of her actions at Walmart, the 41-year-old woman was given seven charges. Five probation violation charges, plus petty theft and resisting an officer without violence. In court, she would ultimately be adjudicated guilty on resisting without violence and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer. Her petty theft charge didn't make it very far, likely due to, as you heard, the sergeant saying that they usually don't prosecute if the amount is under $25. There also weren't any details or charges related to the mysterious white powder she had. But after being adjudicated guilty on falsely identifying and resisting without violence, the 41-year-old woman was sentenced to 2 months and one day inside county jail. She also had to pay $64 in fees. We can clearly see the attempts to save $3 cost much more in her case. Let me know your honest thoughts on this one down below in the comments. Stay safe out there and I'll see you in the next video. >> That's not even my stuff. I don't wear that. I would not do that. I have four children. Okay. >> I have a very important job. Like this is this is him. >> I meet Elizabeth. What? >> Which? >> F O2. >> T E. >> When my attorney and the supervisor gets here and you guys look at those cameras and see what that man did to me. >> Yeah. Okay. We still will review that. >> You need to stay right here. Um >> I was so nice. Okay. You can stay over here. Sarah, come here.
