new video shows a Houston officer
shooting at a suspect but never calling
out shots fired and refusing to inform
his partners that he had shot at the
suspect
the incident began when the officer
attempted a traffic stop when a man
wanted on multiple felony warrants
after initially stopping the suspect
fled at high speeds through a shopping
district with the officer in Pursuit
I've got one rolling
1600 Kingwood suspect is trying suspect
is behind the shopping center trying to
drive away
heading eastbound
[Music]
the officer gripped his duty weapon with
both arms and took a shooting stance
indicating the shooting was deliberate
and not a negligent discharge from the
available camera angle it's unknown if
the suspect initially began to charge
towards the officer or if the suspect
showed signs of being armed
regardless the officer makes an
utterance suggesting things had turned
South but does not let anyone know he's
fired shots

despite more than five minutes elapsing
and getting on the radio 11 times the
officer never let his Partners
supervisor or dispatch know of a shots
fired incident thankfully the suspect
was not injured in the incident both
shots missed and the matter is currently
being investigated by the Houston Police
Department
as of the time of publication it's
unclear if the Texas Rangers would take
over the investigation
