police officers should be well informed about the law but what happens when they meet educated citizens who know their rights better than them we're about to commit a crime that's part of the Clause you're saying it I am about to that's what you're saying that's part of the Clause if you are committing a crime or about to commit a crime sir look he knows he knows exactly who I am which one to the left okay and and and I told him I'm going to file a formal complaint here are five insane examples of police officers getting Exposed on the spot starting off we have a man in Georgia filming a video outside a store was reported to the police by the store owners leading to officers arriving and requesting his ID take a look yeah we got a call about your video tape on the property you no I'm not on that property I never step on nobody's property okay no sir I just got the call yeah absolutely yeah I'm just letting you know you have a driver well I don't show my ID I don't do nothing wrong you understand I'm I'm filming in public giving people free advertisement and they approach me and if you could just tell them that I'm not doing anything wrong and no no sir I'm very careful not to do that I'll pull G GIS surveys and doing this a long time video you don't First Amendment protected activity just do it like just do just free advertisement do you live around here are you from here no I'm not from around here most people know me I do this I go around and you know show people right from wrong wrong from right and you know when they say they call the police I don't I Che on you were never on the proper no I'm very close never ever to do that matter of fact far as I was right there at the edge of the curtilage the uh G survey starts a man who was filming in a public area refuses to show his ID when asked by a police officer despite video evidence showing he wasn't trespassing the officer attempts to charge him with trespassing although Georgia law doesn't mandate identification unless a law has been violated resulting in the officer detaining the man did you give him some ID I don't have to do that's what another thing I explain to him um unless I broken the law you don't have the ID in the state of Georgia um and know am I being detained well for the moment yes for what crime so we find out what's going on to what crime am I being committed we were called because you were on their property right and he determined I wasn't okay hang time for just a minute we'll get you out and might being detained for an unlawful reason yes or no right now you're being detained because you were on their property and we're trying to find out what's going on okay and I can prove that I wasn't on their property and they can't prove that I was or you know there again I mean issu me a trespass I'll be on my way and then we'll go to court but when the staff sergeant arrives the officers just stand there all ashamed as they should morning sir how are you what was your name and badge number sir sure it's staff sergeant Johnson 9359 hey Johnson I was explaining to them I'm out here exercising my rights First Amendment rights um private property starts about 1.2t on the other side of that telephone pole per government um document um survey well anyway I did my homework I'm down here giveing some pie of free advertisement they called the police to me this Deputy here legally detained me for 18 minutes and 32 seconds for no suspicion or nothing he told me that I had to show him my identification to to be trespassed I explained to him I was on the crage of that road right there their property starts at tire that VW okay and I'm trying to exercise my rights both of them gentlemen stood in a Auditorium or Courthouse with their hand on a Bible and they swore an oath to protect my civil rights he's want my fourth amendment violated he's W my first amendment violated and they call the police to me and lied I got 28 minutes of video that shows me doing exactly what I'm doing right now on public property exercising my right as an American and any time did you go on that property no sir I I I look he knows he knows exactly who I am which one to the left okay and and and I told him I'm going to file a formal complaint on him and him and y'all have never ever had a problem with Columbia County right ever and once you realize who I am and what I'm doing and and it really makes y'all look bad man and I'm legally detained for no crime that that's that's a as long as you haven't been on their property that's fine absolutely because you're outside their property and I mean you're legally doing what you absolutely can you explain that to them so they don't violate our anybody else's right they don't want you on their property absolutely I don't just saying a criminal trespass warning so you've been you've been warned I've been warned the first time that don't get an ID the second time you do see he didn't know that he didn't know that try to I'm good to go with you if well I'm good to go am I still detained thank you and uh it just it thank you I I'll wait till y'all leave and then I leave you got the deputy eventually concedes that filming wasn't illegal and they all go their separate ways two cars one pulled over for speeding and the other belonging to the cameraman's friend are told to pull over by the officer and both drivers including the cameraman who was using cruise control are cited for speeding in a seemingly retaliatory action take a look okay so driver's license and registration please you're lying but you're pulling him over right you and him both you just told me you were pulling him over so yeah well he was going 87 you were going 85 I got my tell you to I got my cruise on your driver's license and your registration and insurance well you got to give me a minute for the registration but here's my license and you realize that how how can you see my speed when he's right in front of me you're following him so here's what I did I hit my front radar on him he was going 87 as soon as he passed it went to 85 on you I'd never stopped the radar uhhuh that's the way it is do you have a a print out of that the officer attempts to justify the stop with unfounded excuses mentioning non-existent laws and the driver challenges his claims when I make a traffic stop if you don't do as I say by pulling to the front of him by behind I'm trying to do I'm trying to make sure yeah it is cuz it's officer safety you're obstructing myfy is not a so I want you to pull the front P behind me quote me the Cod I can make sure that I can you quote me the the law for that the code I'm not going to P you the law for that then there is no law for that order is a law order there got be Cod there has to be a code for for officer safety there is no code I don't care just like there's no code for Public Safety why is it that you do what I tell you to I'm with him okay it's not safe for me to just pull up ahead when I don't go to if you had a gun or something like that you could always what are you so scared of what mean what am I scared of that's the way we we maintain our off everybody's out to get you that is the way we may take I don't know who you are I don't know where your officer safety issue is ridiculous you realize that you guys have like one of the Le dangerous jobs you just won't Cooper I don't have to co because you didn't pull me over you pulled him over where's your registration and insurance insurance stand by what the you kidding me the state trooper declines to provide his service ID or supervisor's information issues a ticket and leaves okay what's your badge number and your name I give that all to you on the card you can verbalize it I'm going to give it to you it's a lie you you're supposed to verbalize it I'm going to give it all I have to do is provide it to you that's all I have to do I'm going to explain your citation has vision problems violation is the reason anybody that has Vision vision problems is the reason why you're supposed to verbally identify have vision problems it doesn't matter if I do or not okay it's for anybody well I don't know about that you know that anyway I'm going to give you this your violations there that's your total Justice Court your violation is for Speed you're going 85 and a 70 and they give you a violation Citation for 80 and a 70 what's your name and badge number right down here what's your name and badge number are you going to fail to identify I'm not going to fail to identify I'm providing you the information identify please verbally the wells Justice Court the phone number is right there ver identify please I it this other you're not a cop if you don't verbally identify you're not C your options and your instructions how to pay how to contest you choose my information your supervising officer huh who's your supervisor my information is down here I'm providing that information to you who's your supervisor next up we have a video that begins with a on a road to Iowa State Prison where police falsely claim its private property despite Public Access yes sir we're not going to be concerned about you standing out here and filming if you go and approach that prison again to get a call about it we're going to come up here and arrest you oh so you're threatening me with arrest for being on a publicly accessible road that leads up you've been told by an employee from the prison to stay off pron grounds so I'm not I'm not allowed to go up and get information no no okay so you're denying me access to uh information from the prison yes I am okay and who are you Captain Carl with M police depart okay so obviously everybody needs educated around here you have any questions no no I don't have any questions you guys are dismissed y'all been dismissed for probably 15 minutes now all right have a good day yep you too I'll be up there next so we rode our bikes back this way because there's no signs right here saying that it's you know private property or public not publicly accessible such and uh so we rode back over in here and dum dum decides to tell me that we're on private property understand it's penitential property but this is a public accessible road to their visitors parking lot so um yes scor at this back up here saying that this is a private road um and you said there was a sign up here but the only sign is this K9 dog on premises sign wary that's it yeah I know and it's over if this roads he says it's private but there's no sign saying it's not so I mean and there's the parking lot's right there right that's where you go in and visit somebody right so this is open road right right and see and then he's trying to tell me it's private but I know it's not you know it's not because the public that how do I go visit somebody if I want to visit somebody right right so that's where I mean I would go to to the door though to find out you know on information on how to visit somebody right I mean right right right see I stayed on good as Road right right roadway like this oh see no no no see that's where that's where I'm going to contest because um there's no sign saying I can't go down this road he said there's no no access you know no Public Access um only whatever personnel and this is the point I'm trying to make if they don't want the public which is us coming down this road there needs to be a sign right in here pardon my language y'all right here saying that authorized personnel only in this situation the man stood his ground when police tried to remove him from a publicly accessible Road and while he continued to film the officers asked for his ID which he voluntarily provided even though he wasn't legally obligated to do so oh no um hold on second here they're fine filing and everything they just want you to stay on [Music] the yeah I got my name hold on uh y o u r f i r s t n a m e your first name here you go no you want my name do you want it noay shoulder of the RO stay off okay is there is there somebody else that's better informed than you guys coming because obviously nobody's informed what um if this is fully accessible which I believe it is to say all no authorized Personnel or only authorized Personnel that is a public parking lot for visitors if they want to go in and that's the same place you go in if you want to get information on the prison right okay so I mean I want to go up to the door and get my information and leave that's what I want to do that's why I'm here the person has right I can understand they can request that's a request um there's a difference between a request and an actual order so requested us to ask you okay then again you're ask and you're asking me so I'm going to deny and I'm going to stay here and film for what for trespass on public property on a public EAS I don't think so you know how big of a lawsuit you would get into for that and your qualified M you'd be gone gone I would take your department for everything it's got millions okay I mean do you know what the first amendment is do you can you recite the First Amendment to me do you know your oath can you recite your oath to me are you going to move off the property I'm not on the property I'm on public eement well yeah I me yeah I move over here on the edge that's no problem hey I ain't going to block the drive but I mean you guys obviously BL so I mean look they're all blocking the drive me as a body can't block the drive cuz I'm out in the way so this is public despite initial tension the man's display of legal knowledge led the officers to permit his filming but with a warning of potential arrest if they received a complaint and he remained undeterred next up an auditor named Craig visits the terot police department to retrieve a flash card and films to see if his rights are violated by the police I'm going to make sure I get a good shot of that cuz I don't know if I did get a good shot of it so we got 713 rtq on that license plate you get pulled over by this guy be careful because um here let's make sure we get that close up of that that he carries brass knuckles with him he's looking to use uh use them you know I don't know why else you'd have them unless you wanted to use them the officer immediately takes the bait when the auditor films the vehicles yeah you don't do that ever uh not when I'm not fighting crime or anything okay okay just walking through parking lots no we don't do that can I uh can I get your name bad please CL 991 I'm I ask you why you're searching or looking in people's personal vehicles no well you can ask but I'm not going to answer so okay so I do have a question no I'm not going to answer any questions are you sure yep okay oh I don't have to answer any questions so how's it going man good how are you came and I saw him what's your name and badge number sir so I saw him inside people's personal not Mark units personal vehicles okay so to me that's suspicious so right now you're detained you can figure out what's going on okay okay when questioned about the violation of any laws the police officers struggled to provide an answer and one officer suggests the possibility of theft without clear evidence awesome so again why are you looking at people's personal vehicles I don't answer your questions man am I suspected of committing a crime yes you have Reasonable articulable Suspicion yes okay so what crime well I I'm assuming that you're either a looking in people's Vehicles personal vehicles to possibly take out of them okay so that's a crime it's called theft so you're you're suspecting me of theft right now I have enough reason to believe that you could be yes that I could be what about to commit theft about to commit a crime okay so why are you looking in people's personal vehicles again man I don't answer questions well I'm telling you to answer this question you're under investigation for something you're being detained okay so why are you looking at people's personal vehicles um I don't answer questions okay you can hang tight that and we're going to have Sergeant come out and Captain is right there he's not on duty at the moment so I don't want to take him pretty sure he's smart enough to tell you that uh nothing wrong here okay you stand right here can you stand by this is Tero Police Department the officer demanded the man's ID and threatened arrest but the auditor countered that refusing ID is only a secondary offense and requires a prior crime you are you going to not tell him that there's no crime being committed here I mean he's detaining me without Reasonable articulable Suspicion okay that's right is that supicious a is suspicion a crime okay you have to provide me your name dat okay okay so so what's your name so what's going to happen if I don't give you my name then you can be under arrest so you're going to you're going to you're I'm I if I give it it's under duress understand your name and date of birth okay okay okay so just again I'm just making it clear if I don't give it you're going to arrest me right failure to identify that's a crime right that's CME right only only if another crime has been committed see failure to identify is a second charge because you are being detained information I don't answer questions ma' but I will tell you that failure to identify is a secondary charge so if I'm not being charged with a crime or if I haven't committed a no it's a secondary do you know what that means it means that if I've committed a crime I'm required to provide my ID no but I'm no you have no suspicion that I've committed a crime do you you're about to commit a crime that's part of theuse you're saying it I am about to that's what you're saying that's part of the Clause if you are committing a crime or about to commit a crime after initially confronting the situation the officer consulted with colleagues and ultimately decided to disengage without pursuing any charges or arrests hopefully they fig get this figured out real quick we got the clown Squad out today you beautiful day is that right no more threats man was no just throwing me in a cage wasn't a threat yeah that's what a jail cell is show some more respect for the public next time how about that buddy no you weren't at all yeah I will next up this Florida State Trooper pulled over Aramis aala the first black woman to become the Florida State Attorney it was a notable encounter you're good what agents are you with I'm the C all right thank you your tag didn't come back never seen that before I'm sorry yeah we're good now so it was we ran the tag it I've never seen it before a Florida tag it's never come back to anything before so that's the reason for the Stop was a tag I'm sorry what was the tag run for oh we run tags all the time whether it's the traffic lights and and that sort of stuff that's how we figure out if you know cars were stolen and that sort of thing also the the windows are really dark I don't have a tint measur but that's another reason for the Stop he probably thought it was another black person stealing a vehicle you guys have cards on here yeah one seconde actually this isn't my car but I can write my name down like there you are have a good day
