all right I'm sitting at the light and he comes and hits me from the point you can get out you're going to jail my car we'll make [ __ ] up as we go this next incident happened on Highway 17 where a huge crash occurred when A call came in Christopher M Jackson responded to it and rushed to the location however just as he was in the rush there two cars collided they ended both being totaled and the drivers were rushed to the hospital initially everyone thought it was the fault of the two drivers but it was later revealed that the officer was traveling at an illegal speed of 100 miles per hour a dash cam video was released and on it the police officer can be seen crashing into a Toyota Corolla entering the highway the patrol car flew away barely missing other vehicles in that area the officer was taken to hospital immediately and the driver of the Corolla as well in the end they found out that the driver of that Toyota didn't respect the stop sign when entering the highway a retired traffic homicide detective pointed out that it was the officer's fault just add much saying this could have been Devastation complete Devastation for both parties complete Devastation for both parties an inch either way or a foot either way it later turned out that the officer was rushing to another scene where a 17 year old kid with autism was threatening somebody the problem that they exposed was this it looks like it was a low profile police car meaning no roof lights only inside the car and that reduces the visibility of the car said Levesque when you're driving with your siren on about 88 miles per hour you're out running your siren people can't hear it it's important to point out that the officer had both his audible siren and lights turned on when the incident happened it was later discovered that the officer was actually going 77.5 miles per hour but even though it might seem like the driver of the Corolla should have heard The Sire there's another problem suggesting otherwise five seconds prior he was at 107. we don't know what he was doing as if that's not enough the officer wasn't even wearing a seat belt which there's no excuse for plus he was going almost twice the speed allowed as the limit in that area is 45. the Corolla driver on the other hand was charged for violating a stop sign and suffered a broken leg and an arm the incident has placed the guilty officer on an administrative leave on March 24th later after the investigation unfolded he was removed from his position inarguably it was the officer who was the main reason for the unfortunate event and it's obvious why you shouldn't speed even if your kind of got the permit to due to an emergency call the video you have not seen of a botched raid by Metro Police News 4 investigates obtained it and it shows why the city's interim police chief is so angry about what happened here to an innocent family News 4 investigates exposed that Metro Police raided the wrong apartment back on August 18th we've heard of stories where police officers break into the wrong apartment but this one is on another level in 2020 the police had been looking for a teenager who was allegedly stealing cars after a report the police got an address to which they rushed and started breaking into the apartment it later turned out that they got the wrong address the officers are fully armed even wearing bulletproof wests early in the morning they started breaking down the front door when everyone inside was asleep this led to a confusion inside and a voice was heard saying what's going on the problem was that they were looking for a 16 year old suspect accused of stealing multiple cars but looked into an old database where the address shown was the wrong one the criminal hasn't been living there for several years now yet nobody knew that and they still broke in the policeman that messed the whole thing up were punished severely in charge that day Harrison Dooley received a demotion and a 10-day suspension without pay while the others got a 28-day suspension and a 30-day suspension with a demotion all of them were also supervised strictly for the next five years and any wrongdoing would have resulted into an immediate dismissal from their job even the chief made a statement on the incident it happened mother and her children should not have been subject to this type he went on saying one thing I have talked about at least for the last month is de-escalate de-escalate de-escalate and in this particular situation we didn't de-escalate we are actually escalating in my opinion and we could have prevented this in the end nobody was injured or hurt but it did traumatize the family severely this is Officer John Kovach who's trying to find his daughter this might seem like a sweet thing but Kovach was actually in an argument with his daughter Caitlyn and the reason for the argument well her 18 year old boyfriend who put gently wasn't necessarily his favorite she didn't want to talk to him so he decided to take a different approach after calling her several times without her responding he tracked down her laptop and went to the location it was displaying at the location he spotted his daughter's boyfriend's car turned on his lights and stopped him right away you can get out you're going to jail in my car we'll make [ __ ] up as we go noticing his girlfriend's dad has just stopped him Makai Coleman the boyfriend didn't resist and walked straight to the officer's Cruiser and took a seat in the back right after that the owner of the House nearby where Caitlyn's laptop was located Gloria Morales rushed out of her house why because her children were in the car alongside Coleman instantly Kovach tells Morales he's about to search her home which she initially agrees with why is our computer there I don't know you know so if I check and you're lying to me however then threatening starts to take place and Kovach wants to give her daughter a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt Morales then demands a warrant which leads Kovach to start arguing with her daughter telling her that she's about to go to court where she can plead her case because she appears to be resisting things get even more heated as Morales raises her voice and Kovach threatens to arrest her Morales then wants to call 9-1-1 to file a complaint but again she's threatened by being arrested for making a non-emergency call but right after that we get a plot twist I didn't even see him to see you get out of the car in my car yeah you guys are good man they could go with you kovach's daughter was in Coleman's car as well in the back he completely changes his mind and lets everyone accept his daughter leave without any consequences it's obvious that Kovach is abusing his authority in this case and after being asked why he's taking his daughter he states that she's been having suicidal thoughts and that he's about to take her to the hospital her boyfriend was asking for further proof and Caitlyn was denying her dad's claims but despite that he just drives off the problem here is that feelings got into kovach's way let's take a look at what he said to his daughter's boyfriend one more time it's pretty obvious that this is illegal and no officer should ever make decisions based on their emotions as a result of the incident Kovach was fired on May 11 2018. yet there was still a month-long investigation taking a deeper look on whether he's really broken the law or not it was also later discovered that Kovach was sure her daughter's boyfriend was about bad person and she was living with him despite her parents not letting her it's all basic teenage problems but there's a more serious part to the story as well after an argument between Caitlyn and Coleman Kovach called his daughter when she said if I can't be with him I don't want to be here anymore hence the concerns about her Suicidal Thoughts but Coleman said Kovac abused his power simply to make their lives worse as he was not approving their relationship it's important to note that Kovach used police resources to track down his daughter that day which is highly illegal Morales 9-1-1 call also helped with the launch of the investigation in the end it was discovered that there was actually another 9-1-1 call from a different woman because her husband threatened her with a weapon in a road rage incident and the call was happening right in between kovach's incident he was summoned by the dispatchers since he was listed as available yet he failed to respond to the call which made the matters even worse when Kovach was was dismissed he appealed the decision to which Kyle gallenius from the police Lodge responded clearly he acted outside of the purview of his duty as an officer of the law despite this it is still our job to offer our members fair and neutral representation such as John Kovach as requested however despite what he did he was ultimately fired and had no way of going back in this next incident a car was reported as wanted with the driver allegedly being armed and dangerous looking for a silver sedan the police spotted it at the Richmond Highway and South Kings Highway in the Mount Vernon district and proceeded to commit a felony vehicle stop the irony behind this incident was that they technically didn't get the right car usually they make an all-around mistake but this time the car turned out to be that actual car they were looking for however the people inside were not there were four people in that car a mother named Jamie Kimball her friend a six day old baby and another child and they were headed to Walmart which is the most innocent thing ever all of the sudden though they weren't just stopped by the police but the police car straight up crashed into them take a look at this video that Jamie posted on her Instagram sitting at the lake I'm sitting at the light and he comes and hits me from the front the police didn't have their lights on and the sirens were off as well they have later admitted to colliding with her car but at a speed of only 10 miles per hour but Jaime said it didn't feel like it quoting her everything happened so quickly all I knew at that point was that I was in pain I wanted to know that my babies were okay in the back and I didn't know why the hell I was being stopped she had only just given birth six days ago still rehabbing from the C-section procedure they also pointed guns at the two women and put them in handcuffs the reason for the Stop was that their car was allegedly involved in an incident in another neighborhood and the women inside were stated as armed and dangerous which is ridiculous since Jaime was giving birth in the hospital at the time of the incident that she had been accused of in their statement the police explained that the car was definitely the one they were looking for but the people inside were not right and weren't the ones involved in the other incident they also added further information confirmed the stop vehicle was The Wanted vehicle involved in an incident in Arlington County and they requested the car be stopped so the occupants could be identified this leads us to the main problem Jaime had recently bought the car so it was registered to her however the police looked into the old records where she wasn't yet the owner after being explained the situation they released Jaime and the others also offering them medical treatment for the injuries they had endured during the encounter despite that she still demands an apology that's something that can be taken back we didn't really we didn't receive an apology for how we were treated it's not the arrest that was problematic but the long-term effect this will have on her and her family time it probably forever for me and my five-year-old this will forever affect us
