you're under arrest prostitution lying to me in my face my on December 19th 2023 in Sarasota Florida an undercover cop was posing as a prostitute and caught a married man with a kid in his car wanting to pay for a certain sexual favors the plan was to leave his kid in the car as the two went into a motel room naturally though multiple officers were on standby and jumped out to catch him before anything could happen you're under arrest prostitution I'm not even prostitution I got my son in the car can I can I call my baby mother in just a second we'll call the baby's mother okay I'm not just be with us just a second okay I promise I'm not yeah I wish that was the truth I really do how how old is he he's four okay you go with officer please hello how are you your daddy's just going to go with us and talk for a little bit I'm going to call your mommy to come pick you up okay this is baby's mama you mind answering that and then just letting her know what's happened and she's going to have to come here to pick him up we'll have to call DC I need to let her know the extent of it or just say should being arrested arrested trying to feain ignorance the man acted as if he had no idea what they were talking about unfortunately for him though the officers had already done plenty of homework on him beforehand as is common knowledge apart from Nevada prostitution is illegal in almost every US state the crime itself is usually classified as a disorderly person's offense with penalties which may include up to 6 months in jail and fines of up to $1,000 however coupled with the fact that he planned on leaving his child in the car as he did this he could also be charged with multiple other offenses okay the officer's talking to your uh I guess your baby's mama now cuz she's calling the phone so just so you know we have to call DCF as well um they have to be notified that we' taken temporary custody of your shot child me this is what happens can I just talk to my baby mother not right now pretty wild I haven't seen that before soon after the toddler's mother arrived at the scene after rushing over from work and like any Mother after hearing about this kind of situation her first and immediate thought was to frantically look for her child it should be noted that at the moment the only thing she knew was that her husband was placed under arrest with her child being witnessed to the whole [Music] event um so we have um Mom right here okay what's going on all right here here can you hold on one second for man we just had how how did he get to hold her where did they meet I need the oh they met at the corner he met the undercover officer uhhuh they talked about having sex for who you where's he went to jail already jail right now he got arrest so what did what was talk about what just one second ma'am we while the officer was sharing the details of the case with someone over the phone another officer continued to explain the situation to her upon hearing the rest it's no surprise to anyone what a reaction would be junior date of birth is 119 199 they've beening lying to me in my face he been lying to me in my face they took us [ __ ] dumb to Sarasota so guess what not my problem no more t w figure it out I'm sement because you don't know what's going on and what I have to do is in the car so let's think about him first okay real quick officer by quietly saying her name they were able to resume conversing once more I can make contact with I need contact with him okay but listen me listen to me because I need to know why you dragged me from New York to out here to start over how I have my son I'm full hours from New York I have nothing the nice thing is nothing that I have access to some unique resources okay for you and your son let's forget about Mr rush and let's worry about you and Jacob right now okay which I will gladly help you out any way that I can that's tell you here's the issue okay I'm going to give you you already know what happened so we don't need to discuss what happened with him know what happened because I'm trying to understand so okay can do you want me I need you to stay calm if I'm going to take some deep breaths before I do okay finally calming down from the initial shock and frustration of the day's events Miss terissa decided to quietly listen to what the officer had to say luckily as part of their duties officers play a critical role in reestablishing Safety and Security for children both physically and psychologically on top of that multiple shelters exist for people who go through this type of ordeal he met he met with an undercover officer all right he didn't know obviously it was undercover officer posing as a prostitute all right he agreed to pay her for and he was going to go inside one of these rooms and receive the and he was going to leave your son in the car while it happened okay now look at me this is where I need you to stay calm because I know I'd be extremely pissed right now if I was you okay that being said I can reach out to some resources I don't know how much time you have paid up at the Cadillac and we can see if we can get you into some emergency type housing okay okay come you yep that's fine my God me my he's right here me I'm right here understandably the woman broke down into tears upon hearing the full details of what happened trying to console her another woman later revealed to be her coworker came up to her and tried talking to her while the officer gave them some space sometime later the officer started asking the coworker some questions okay so you work with her okay where does she work she works at Walgreens at Fruitville in Mana perfect okay um she told me she doesn't have a license to drive which that's no issue we can do all the transporting or if you you have a vehicle I do have a vehicle and I have a car seat but I don't know that's right he has a car seat too okay yeah um but here's what I'm getting at is there are resources for moms and young children in the city I will reach out and I will do everything right now to get her taken care of home I want to call listen I can listen I can I can I know I know you want to call take 10 seconds if you if you want to go back to New York yes we can also work that out okay I have resources to get you free Transportation with your son back to New York I need you to trust me though right now do okay you took my son I see it I see but he but he's gone now so let's let's worry about you and your son right now okay since she wasn't emotionally stable at that moment the officer started relaying information to the mother's coworker instead hoping that she would help currently the mother's options included either being provided a shelter home for mothers and children who are going through similar situations or a direct all expense paid flight back to New York where her home is so basically what we can do is we can work on some emergency shelter options for her we can work on what's called a home bound for her cuz as far as I'm concerned if she's if she's staying in a hotel has nowhere to go we can easily articulate what I understood is she checked out this morning and was going to be able to check back in today that's all I understood she just paying by the day but I don't think this stuff is and just so you know the the young lady that's over there talking to him she is a police officer but she's not the one that was involved in this case okay so she's totally unrelated she's just here to hang out yes and she's in plain clothes so then he thinks it's just a regular person not a cop hanging out with him and that's why she's here okay yeah cuz unfortunately these situations happen more frequently than you would think yeah um so if your son we could put him inside of your car for now unfortunately there's some paraphernalia and Plain View so we just have to search the vehicle um yeah that's all it's it's like no prac they just going to okay surprise surprise it turned out that the father also had illegal drugs present in his vehicle suspected by the mother to be weed for anyone who may not know under Florida law it's illegal to consume marijuana for recreational purposes this also includes the consumption of marijuana that was obtained legally through someone with a medical marijuana card and then transferred to someone else after a few hours Transportation was arranged for the woman meanwhile she was talking to her husband's mother stating that if he was going to commit acts like this then he should have simply left her said do your son still wants to play like he's 17 18 and I don't have the time for it Rene at all cuz honestly speaking honestly speaking when your son was all this other stuff he should have just left me alone when he first did what he did and he want to know I'm sorry let us do this in be family he should have just left me alone if that's what you want to do go ahead don't drag nobody with you and it's not like it's just me and him you have your son so now what are you going to explain to your son you did another stupid mistake again it's not the first time you did it this is the second time the only difference is this time I'm not pregnant he's here so now that's two at this point bro if you don't want me leave me alone but your son problem is you don't want to see me great with somebody else and that's what the is going to happen in the end the father was ultimately charged with prostitution and child neglect a second degree felony that's punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine
